Examination of the moderating effect of age on the relationship between regulatory focus and happiness (조절초점과 행복감 간의 관계에 대한 연령의 조절효과 분석)

  • People's interest in how to lead a happy life when they get older is increasing because of the extension of life span due to thedevelopment of medical technology. Factors that can affect happiness or the strength of the influence of those factors may vary according to age. Previous studies, have found that individuals with promotion focus are more likely to experience happiness than those with prevention focus. However, whether this effect of regulatory focus on happiness is consistent regardless of age has not been sufficiently investigated. Therefore, 1,250 Korean adults from each age group and residence were randomly selected as thesample, and the moderating effect of age on the relationship between regulatory focus and subjective well-being was examined. The results indicated that promotion focus and age have a significant interaction effect on subjective well-being, while the interaction effect of prevention focus and age was not significant. More concretely, the positive effects of promotion focus on life satisfaction and affective balance grew stronger with increasing age. This finding implies that it is especially important for old adults to use promotion focus by actively setting challenging goals and motivating themselves to gain a sense of accomplishment to experience subjective well-being. In addition, social support is proposed as being especially important to activate their promotion focus.

A Study on the Application of Very Rapid Hardening Acrylic Polymer Modified Concrete for Bonded Concrete Overlay Method (접착식 콘크리트 덧씌우기 공법을 위한 초속경 아크릴계 폴리머 개질 콘크리트의 적용성 연구)

  • Asphalt concrete overlay method is used by general maintenance and rehabilitation of construction for aged concrete pavement in Korea. However, in case of the AC overlay method to extend service life of the existing concrete pavements, various distresses of reflection crack, pothole and rutting are the typical problems of the asphalt overlay on existing concrete pavement since it has different physical characteristics between asphalt overlay and existing concrete pavement. To achieve this, application of concrete overlay method is required instead of AC overlay method. Concrete overlay method has advantages that can reduce maintenance cycle and costs since it has excellent bearing value for heavy vehicles and no rutting. However, technical problems of detour road construction, traffic control and other disadvantages happened by long curing time. Thus, in this study and experimental research were launched to evaluate the workability, durability and resistance against environmental loading of Very Rapid Hardening Acrylic Polymer Modified Concrete(VRH-APMC) for application of bonded concrete overlay method. Test results showed that the compressive and bond strength were exceed 21MPa and 1.4MPa of target strength after four hours for rapid traffic opening properties. And tests of resistance against environmental loading results showed that VRH-APMC secured excellent durability. Thus, it was known that VRH-APMC was suitable material for large scale bonded concrete overlay method, and it was possible to use maintenance and rehabilitation method which needs enough workability and rapid traffic opening.

  • 배경 : 의과학과 사회-경제학의 발전은 인간 수명 연장에 지대한 공헌을 해 왔다. 그러나 결과적으로 피부 질환으로 고생하는 노인 인구도 증가하였다. 본 연구에서는 동국대학교 한방 안이비인후피부과에 피부질환을 주소증으로 내원한 성인 환자들을 대상으로 임상 양상을 조사해 보고 고령사회에서 어떻게 한방 피부과 의료 수요 변화에 대처하고 발전해 나아갈 수 있을지 그 방법을 모색해 볼 수 있는 근거 자료로 활용하기 위해 수행하였다. 연구방법 : 2002년 1월부터 2004년 12월 까지 3년 동안 동국대학교 한방 안이비인후피부과에 피부 질환을 주소증으로 내원한 319명의 환자를 대상으로 하였다. 그들을 내원시기, 연령, 성별로 나누어 질환별 분포를 조사하였다. 통계분석은 $X^2$ test(Window, SPSS 11.0)를 사용하였고 p <.05를 유의수준으로 하였다. 결과 : 2002년부터 2004년 까지 질환별 분포를 살펴보면 습진 21.9%, 소양증 20.4%. 여드름 16.9%,로 나타났다. 2002년에는 습진 17.0%, 소양증 16.0%, 여드름이 14.9%였다. 2003년에는 소양증 34.2%, 두드러기가 23,3%, 습진이 17.1%였다. 2004년에는 습진 61.4%, 여드름 21.1%, 소양증 15.8%였다. 이들 결과는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다($X^2\;=\;54.135^{***}$, p = .000, df : 20). 남자에서는 습진이 25.0%로 가장 많았고 소양증 19.5%, 두드러기 12.5%, 지루성 피부염 11.7%로 나타났다. 여자에서는 여드름이 22.0%로 가장 많았고 소양증 20.9%, 습진 19.9%였다. 이들 결과는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다($X^2\;=\;19.839^*$, p = .031, df : 10). 20대 환자에서는 여드름이 24.1%로 가장 많았고 습진과 소양증이 각각 19.5%였다. 30대 환자군에서는 습진이 30.3%였고 소양증이 19.1%였다. 40대에서는 소양증이 28.8%였고 지루성 피부염이 16.0%였다. 50대에서는 습진이 26.7%였고 60세 이상의 그룹에서는 습진이 50.0%, 바이러스 질환과 소양증이 각각 15.0%였다. 이들 결과는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다($X^2\;=\;74.995^{**}$, p = .001, df : 40). 결론 : 상대적으로 50세 이상 연령충의 대상 환자 수가 많지 않은 원인은 여리 가지 분석이 가능할 것으로 생각된다. 연령에 따라 피부질환이 다른 양상을 보임을 고려할 때 노인층의 신체적, 경제적, 사회적 특성을 이해하고 이에 따른 효과적이고 사회-경제학적 부담을 최소할 수 있는 한방 치료 영역의 확대 및 개발이 필요할 것으로 사려된다.

Nitrogen Removal in Column Wetlands Packed with Synthetic Fiber Treating Piggery Stormwater (축산단지 강우 유출수 처리를 위한 합성섬유충진 습지의 질소제거에 관한 연구)

  • A set of lab-scale polymer synthetic fiber packed column wetlands composing three columns (CW1, CW2 and CW3) with different hydraulic regimes, recirculation frequencies and pollutant loading rates, were operated in 2012. Synthetic fiber tested as an alternative wetland medium for soil mixture or gravel which has been widely used, has very high pore size and volume, so that clogging opportunity can be greatly avoided. The inflow to the wetland was artificial stormwater. All the wetlands achieved effective removal of TSS (94%~96%), TCOD (68%~73%), TN (35%~58%), TKN (62%~73%) and NH4-N (85%~ 99%). Particularly, it was observed that COD was released from the fiber during one distinct period in all wetlands. This was probably due to the degradation of polymer fiber, and the released organic matters were found to serve as carbon source for denitrification. In addition, with longer retention time and frequent recirculation, lower effluent concentration was observed. With higher pollutant loading rate, higher nitrification and denitrification rates were achieved. However, although organic matters were released from the fiber, the lack of carbon source was still the limiting factor for the system since the release persisted only for 40 days.

Prolongation of Cherry Tomato Shelf-life Using Perforated Film Packaging (천공필름을 이용한 방울 토마토의 저장 수명 연장에 관한 연구)

  • Whole and stem-off cherry tomatoes were packaged using perforated films(LF05, LF10, LF20, and LF40). Gas composition(ethylene, $O_2$, and $CO_2$), firmness(compression and penetration force), color, brix degree, acidity, and total microbial counts were assessed during storage at $10^{\circ}C$ and 85% relative humidity. Gas composition varied with film gas permeability, indicating that modified atmospheric(MA) conditions were achieved. Firmness fell during storage; samples packed using LF05 showed the lowest firmness, corresponding to low gas transmission conditions. L(lightness) and a(redness) values respectively decreased and rose slightly with increasing storage time, but the b(yellowness) values fell notably. Film permeability significantly affected acidity and soluble solid levels. When LF40 packaging was used, acidity and brix scale changes were similar to those seen after PET container packaging. Total microbial counts increased with time after packaging in most films, and pretreatment differences were not significant. Microflora varied between stem on/off tomatoes. Skin wrinkling and juice appearance were common in tomatoes stored in PET containers and LF films of low gas permeabilities(LF05, LF10, and LF20). White molds were partially found on stem-on tomatoes stored using packaging systems. When film packagings were compared, LF40 was optimal, permitting minimal pretreatment yet offering maximal sanitation.

  • 염색폐수를 처리하기 위하여, 일반적으로 물리.화학적 공정과 호기성 생물학적 공정을 조합한 방법들을 사용하고 있다. 하지만 호기성 생물학적 공정은 난분해성 물질의 제거능력이 낮고, 염색폐수의 주된 오염원인 염료분자가 호기성 미생물에 대한 에너지원으로 적합하지 않아 분해되기 어려우며, 물리.화학적 공정을 이용한 처리방법으로도 높은 처리효율을 얻을 수가 없다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위하여 염색폐수 처리에 혐기-호기공정을 이용하며, 혐기성 공정에서 생물학적으로 분해되기 어려운 고분자 물질들을 가수분해하여 생물학적으로 분해가능한 저분자물질로 전환시키고, 호기성 공정에서 저분자 물질을 효과적으로 처라할 수 있기때문에 기존의 염색폐수 처리공정에 비하여 훨씬 높은 처리효율을 얻을 수 있다. 특히, 혐기성 미생물은 호기성 미생물에 비하여 난분해성 물질에 대한 분해력이 높고, 생물독성 물질에 대한 내성이 강하기 때문에 수중생물에 유해한 염료를 함유한 염색폐수의 색도제거에 효과적인 것으로 기대된다. 또한, 막분리 공정은 유기물 및 미생물이 막표면에 축적, 증식함으로써 막세공에 막힘현상을 초래하여 역세척 등의 물리적인 방법이나 화학약품을 이용한 화학적 세척 방법으로도 투과플럭스의 회복이 불가능한 상태를 유발함으로 막의 수명을 단축시키는 원인이 된다. 따라서, 혐기-호기공정과 조합하면 색도성분 제거 및 막 오염의 원인이 되는 유기물 및 용존성 고형물을 제거하고, 막 오염의 억제를 통한 후 수염의 연장은 물론, 처리수의 수질향상에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.1로 강구와 함께 공구강 vial에 장입 후, Spex mixer/mill을 이용하여 기계적 합금화 하였다. 기계적 합금화 공정으로 제조한 분말에 대한 X-선 회절분석과 시차 열분석으로 합금화 정도를 분석하였다. (Bi1-xSbx)2Te3 및 Bi2(Te1-ySey)3 합금분말을 10-5 torr의 진공중에서 300℃∼550℃의 온도로 30분간 가압소결하였다. 가압소결체의 파단면에서의 미세구조를 주사전자현미경으로 관찰하였으며, 상온에서 가압소결체의 열전특성을 측정하였다. (Bi1-xSbx)2Te3의 기계적 합금화에 요구되는 공정시간은 Sb2Te3 함량에 따라 증가하여 x=0.5 조성에서는 4 시간 45분, x=0.75 조성에서는 5 시간, x=1 조성에서는 6 시간 45분의 vibro 밀링이 요구되었다. n형 Bi2(Te1-ySey)3 합금분말의 제조에 요구되는 밀링시간 역시 Bi2Se3 함량 증가에 따라 증가하였으며 Bi2(Te0.95Se0.05)3 합금분말의 제조에는 2시간, Bi2(Te0.9Se0.1)3 및 Bi2(Te0.85Se0.15)3 합금분말의 형성에는 3시간의 bivro 밀링이 요구되었다. 기계적 합금화로 제조한 p형 (Bi0.2Sb0.8)2Te3 및 n형 Bi2(Te0.9Se0.1)3 가압 소결체는 각기 2.9x10-3/K 및 2.1x10-3/K 의 우수한 성능지수를 나타내었다.ering)가 필수적이다. 그러나 침전법에서 얻게 되는 분말은 매우 미세하여 colloid를 형성하게 되며, 이러한 colloid 상태의 미세한 침전입자가 filte

  • It is required to study systematical on the concrete quality management to extend structure life because rebuilding effect is reducing under present condition of large sized and high stories structure. Concrete, which shows its intensity by hydrating action and a big change in quality according to hot weather and temperature, produces a lot of quality problem under hot and cold weather. Because of each specification and construction plan which does not have basic standard on site, concrete's quality is irregular and makes some defect. As a result, Dae-gu is fumed out to be the longest area after investigating application period and days focused on 8 cities weather information about t relationship between hot weather circumstance and construction environment. Therefore, we first surveyed the curing construction processing in the region and found out the problem of quality management. Then figure out the way of solution. Moreover, we integrated curing quality management, which is applied differently to each site, to have equal quality and to reduce defect from construction site. And then, based on various test of construction condition and analysis of quality management item, we suggest effective concrete quality management to make curing construction standard guide and plan under hot weather.

Latest IT technology in the development of intelligent life on all human life even more convenient by combining the computer and try to build a productive environment is. You simply connect your computer to the elderly rather than older users to use, efficient and productive way to improve efforts to follow. Emerging as an alternative to the more efficient interfaces for ubiquitous computing, user interface design criteria, albeit a little uncomfortable by suggesting improvements of the elderly and their participation in production activities helped to improve the quality of life. Ubiquitous environment, as well as means to improve the living environment of older people live independent lives, as given us is that you can get the premise of this study was in progress.Thus, by analyzing the characteristics of the elderly for the elderly by offering more efficient way to interface design for a new era of ubiquitous pushing back the boundaries of the elderly have been instruments to achieve social vitality.

  • Although reports of multiple primary malignant tumors have increased recently, cases of synchronous double primary tumors of lung and liver are rare. A 73-year-old man suffered from chronic cough. His chest x-ray showed segmental atelectasis of the right upper lobe. Bronchoscopy revealed a mass occluding the orifice of the anterior segmental bronchus of the right upper lobe, and a biopsy showed a squamous cell carcinoma. A synchronous hepatic mass was found by ultrasonography. However, F18-FDG-PET showed no evidence of a distant metastasis. The liver biopsy revealed a hepatocellular carcinoma. A right upper lobe lobectomy and a sleeve resection were performed for the lung cancer, and radiofrequency ablation was performed for the hepatocellular carcinoma.

A Pilot Test on Stop-Smoking and Development of HBN-001 (금연이침저주파지극기(HBN-001)의 개발 및 금연효과 Pilot Test)

  • With recent increase in interest on health through extension of life expectancies of people, desire of smokers to stop smoking is also getting stronger. Korean medicine uses Auricular Acupuncturing as a treatment to stop smoking. This Study examined whether Auricular Acupuncturing is actually effective by manufacturing device that can stimulate lung point and endocrine point that are known to be effective in stop smoking through low frequency stimulation. Firstly, Low Frequency Stimulator for Auricular Acupuncturing to quit smoking (HBN-001) was developed as an experimental device by combining low frequency stimulation to auricular acupuncture points and headset, and was pilot tested on 20 subjects. The average quantity of cigarette smoked prior to the application of the procedure was 12.19, which was reduced to 10.34 cigarettes after 2 weeks with more than 5 sessions of Auricular Acupuncturing. However, there was no statistically significant difference. The changes in the desire to smoke following the procedure included 4 subjects (20%) with no change, 4 (20%) with slight reduction, 4 (20%) with 25%~49% reduction, 6 (30%) with 50%~75% reduction, 1 (5%) with 75%~99% reduction and 1 (5%) with complete elimination of desire to smoke. Changes in how cigarette smoking tasted included 2 subjects (10%) with slight improvement, 7 (35%) with no change, 6 (30%) with slight worsening and 5 (25%) with substantially worsened taste. Based on the results of the Pilot Test, it appears that Auricular Acupuncturing could be affirmatively helpful in quitting smoking, and further researches in greater depth would be necessary in the future.
