Improvement of sampling method for bacteriological test in tap water (수도꼭지에서 미생물 검사 목적의 샘플링 방법 개선 연구)

  • We studied on the effect of faucet cleanliness, faucet conditions (screen, mixing faucet), and flushing time for bacterial detection in tap water. As results, tap water should be left to run to waste for 2 to 3 minutes and if a questionable cleanliness is questionable, disinfect the faucet by using flaming or other methods before sampling. We proposed sampling method to decrease effect of factors associated with bacterial detection in tap water and contributed to be evaluated more accurate water quality.

  • The method of measurement for laboratory tests on noise emission from appliances and equipment used in water supply installations is specified in ISO 3822-1. This part of standard gives detailed descriptions for mounting and operating draw-off taps and mixing valves in such laboratory test. Draw-off taps and mixing valves are the most common kind of appliance used in water supply installations.

  • Ultraviolet light(UV-C, wavelength: 200~280nm) is employed profitably for sterilizing drinking water. For most water serving apparatus such as a water purifier, a water cooler and heater, a coffee vending machine and etc., pre-sterilized water may be contaminated secondarily with bacillary inhabitation in a container before serving. In consideration of this problem, a household water tap which is equipped with a sterilization/Purification device in combination with non-contact UV-lamp, was designed to sterilize and purify water at the last outlet just before serving. Hopefully this simple but creative item may be commercialized for household and public use.

  • 샤워실에 갑자기 물을 틀었더니 찬물이 나온다. 그렇다고 해서 수도꼭지를 더운 물 쪽으로 확 돌리면 이번엔 너무 뜨거운 물이 쏟아진다. 샤워실의 바보는 끝없이 뜨거운 물과 찬물을 번갈아가며 틀어대는 어리석은 사람을 말한다. 이 비유는 경제상황에 따라 이리저리 통화정책을 바꾸는 어리석음을 지적하기 위한것이다. 돈은 풀었다 조였다 하기보다는 경제규모의 확대에 따라 '꾸준히 안정적으로 확대공급' 하는 것이 가장 좋은 경기조절 정책이라고 통화론자 밀튼 프리드먼은 주장했다.

  • Advances in technology have improved people's lives comfortably and have developed more easily, safely and simply. We usually turn on hot water to set the temperature of the water in the bathroom and gradually adjust the temperature to find the temperature we want with our skin. In this situation, I thought, "What if there is a device that can see the temperature of water with my eyes and help with the interior of the bathroom while including a safe system," and tried to create a system that values stability. For example, if a child accidentally changes the temperature of the water to high temperature while washing, he or she can get burned. And the biggest purpose is to secure better safety by adding LCDs and LEDs so that we can visually know the temperature before feeling it tactilely. As a result of the experiment, there was no error between the temperature detected by the water temperature sensor and the temperature displayed on the LCD, and no error occurred up to 27 cm in the distance measurement experiment using the ultrasonic sensor. There has been an error of about 2% since 28cm or older, but there is no significant inconvenience in using it within the category of faucets.

  • 과거 건설업이 태동되던 시절 구들난방과 수도꼭지가 전부였던 기계설비는 최근들어 건축물의 첨단화, 다양화에 따라 전체 공사비에서 일반건축물은 20% 이내, 병원 및 첨단 인텔리전트빌딩은 30%, LCD, 반도체 크린룸은 50% 이상을 차지하고 있다. 이러한 기계설비의 발전에 견인차 역할을 담당한 대한설비건설협회는 올해로 창립 20 주년을 맞이했다. 본지는 기계설비의 태동과 성장, 그리고 대한설비건설협회의 활동을 통해 기계설비의 발전사를 조명해 보고자 한다.
