수관식 관류 보일러 제어기의 구현

  • 에너지 관리 시스팀(Energy Management System)의 한 분야로서 보일러 제어를 들수 있는데, 보일러의 경우에 있어서 보일러 부하에 따른 연료의 연소 처리 제어, 압력차의 제어, 급수 제어 장치, 점화 등에 자동 제어가 적용되어 실질적인 보일러의 안전 운전 및 열효율을 개선시킬수 있다. 본고는 (주) 열연 보일러의 수관식 관류 보일러에 마이크로프로세서를 이용하여, 급수, 연소 제어를 구현한 내용이다.

Heat Transfer Characteristics of 2 t/h-Class Modular Water-Tube-Type Boiler (모듈형 2 t/h급 수관식 보일러의 열전달 특성)

  • A finned-tube-type evaporator module has been proposed for a 2 t/h-class water-tube-type industrial boiler with multiple burners. The geometry of the fins was changed at each module to equalize the evaporation. The modules were designed by considering the energy balance at each row rather than by following a conventional bulk design procedure. The designed module was built into a 2 t/h-class water-tube-type boiler, and its performance was tested. A numerical simulation was also conducted to evaluate the two- or three-dimensional effects of factors such as the inlet conditions. The numerical simulation also included the conjugate heat transfer problem to predict the fin tip temperature. The heat transfer coefficient with fins is lower than that obtained from the empirical correlation of a bare tube. The fin tip temperature from CFD is higher than that from the analytical solution.

  • Operating medium or large scale industrial boilers in partial load condition, the burner should undergo the off-design points resulting in poor exhaust gas characteristics. To obtain the stable turn down performance, two or more burners can be used for the industrial boiler. In case multiple burners are adopted, the heat transfer can be enhanced by arranging the burners properly. In the present study, numerical simulations have been conducted for the combustion chamber of a 2 t/h class industrial boiler in order to clarify the heat transfer characteristics at the combustion chamber.

  • A finned tube type heat exchange module has been proposed for a multi-burner water tube boiler. Fin density and length increase in streamwise direction to equalize the evaporation for each module, which makes it difficult to apply conventional bulk design procedure. The design program has been improved by updating data for every row of tubes along the flow. A numerical simulation has been also conducted to evaluate the effect of inlet conditions and validated with experiment. The heat transfer of the first row has been underpredicted by the conventional Zhukauskas correlation, since the acceleration of the flow due to the blockage is not fully inflected. The fin tip temperature is also underpredicted by Bessel solution, because of the interaction with neighboring fins.

  • This study is to optimize design parameters for waste heat recovery boiler with water tube and three drum. The design optimization considered here is to find the most economic dimension of the boiler considered which results in a minimum cost in producing a unit amount of steam per given period of operation. For this purpose, optimize design have to determine what are the main parameters of affecting the total cost of producing a unit amount of steam which is comprised of manufacturing cost of the boiler, operating cost of the fan etc.

  • A design of an industrial microcomputer control system for an one-through tube boiler using oil is presented. The microcomputer system is based on standard iSBC 88/40 board. The software consist of a RTE(real time executive) and application tasks. The designed control system saves fuel and gives a more reliable over-all operation.

  • In this study, the experimental studies were conducted to analyzing characteristics of combustion and flame stabilizing according to with and without water tube in boiler. The burner has consisted of SiC foam where has the location of submerged flame between a ceramic board acting as flash-back arrestor. Porous burner is also insulated to minimize heat loss in the radial direction. In the condition of fixed equivalence ratio, the flame mode was divided into three stability zones by the flow rate. The main factor for blow-off and flash-back depends on mixture flow rate. Consequently, the case of burner with water-tube has higher NOx emissions than without case. This result explains that the presence of water-tube makes the heat loss resistant to ambient temperature with increasing of NOx. This tendency was proved by predicting the relationship between O2 emission and NO production rate, and by analysing temperature profiles.

  • In this study, combustion characteristics for 20t/h water tube boilers are studied. The burner by applying The fuel staging technology, the air staging technology, the partially premixed technology, the separated flame technology and the flame inner recirculation technology was designed. This study was to determine the combustion characteristics for the three types of burners. It is found that the result of flame temperature measurement is less than $1300^{\circ}C$ at the all flame region. also, emissions of NOx and CO are found to be 15.8 ppm and 18.9 ppm, respectively.
