  • This study is about development and application of a curriculum to implement physical computing education in an online environment for pre-service teachers. First, a 15-week software and physical computing curriculum was designed according to the ADDIE instructional design model. As a tool that can be used online, education was conducted on a program using various sensors using Pocket Code, an EPL based on a smartphone. As a result of the application of the program, Personal efficacy, Pedagogical knowledge, Technology teaching content knowledge, Result expectation, and Student belief were all significantly improved. In the software attitude part, Software interest and Software value part increased significantly, and the Perception of software engineers did not change. In general, in the case of physical computing, it is difficult to execute in an online environment because it involves a lot of manipulation activity. Through various studies that can continue education in a non-face-to-face environment or a blended environment in the post-corona era, it is hoped that it will be possible to provide a high-quality curriculum to pre-service teachers in charge of future education.

  • In this study, we analyzed the current status and limitations of software education in A education universities. In order to solve these problems, technical support assistant teachers were employed and operated. During the course of the course, we conducted interviews with the instructor and the technical support teacher. The satisfaction of the teacher in the training school was high and I wanted to be supported continuously. It also called for the capacity building of assistant teachers and the establishment of a pool of staff. On the other hand, the assistant teachers suggested that the role assignment of team teaching should be clarified and a guide of activities should be presented. The technical assistance assistant teacher input system discussed in this study may be different from the practice system of each university, and generalization may be limited. Therefore, it is expected that the effective implementation method will be shared and the software education will be activated.

  • As the importance of software has become more widely recognized, many Korean universities are designating software classes as an essential subject. However, there is a difficulty in achieving the educational goal because the education is done without sufficient understanding of the non-Major learner. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the opinions of the humanities college students who have taken the software basic education course and confirm the changes of the students' digital minds. Based on this, we suggest considerations for the basic software education for non-Majors. The results of the analysis show that pre-admission software education does not contribute much to university education, while students respond positively to the practice-based education using student-oriented project subjects. Therefore, it is desirable to provide an environment where learners can gradually develop their digital minds by providing students with more software access opportunities based on hands-on practice in basic software education for non-Majors.

  • The importance of pre-service teachers' curriculum that can run K12 school SW education is raised. However, there is insufficient study on the standard of SW curriculum for pre-service teachers in domestic. In this study, we analyzed domestic and foreign cases based on four kinds of contents knowledge. Domestic cases were found to be concentrated on curriculum contents of education and teaching methods. Through the analysis of cases in domestic and abroad, we presented the content of SW education based on knowledge of teaching contents for preliminary teachers. The main contents are all four areas, and the curriculum contents and the teaching method are emphasized the most, and the SW subject education experts are asked for the feasibility study. The results of the questionnaire survey showed that although the validity and consensus exceeded the standard, the CVR value for the student management field was lower than the standard value.

  • The purpose of this paper is to explore the types of subjectivity on edutainment features of software education implemented in elementary school. Q-method is used to seek individual learners' subjectivity type. Three types of subjectivity are found: implementation type, intellectual-fun type, and relationship type. Implementation type learners show positive attitude toward making their thinking into realization, intellectual-fun type learners show positive attitude toward solving problems that require intellectual activities, and relationship type learners show positive toward other persons' attention and consideration. These results imply software education will be more enhanced with these three types considered for implementing software education in elementary schools. This study is expected to contribute to further following research and practices.

  • In the 4th Industrial Revolution, it is a time when all the devices and people interact to create new added value. Software education is necessary in elementary school because what is more important is software. However, until now there is a lack of teaching and learning methods for software education in elementary school. In this paper, IDOL model is proposed as a method to solve this problem. statements for elementary students. The idol model is learning through observe, to implement, to diversify. In the implementation, the elementary students are to make it quickly, In the diversification, it is variously changing the things that have been made, and observation how the changed things are different. A model is verified by a group of experts consisting of elementary school teachers.

  • This study has two major purposes. One is to find out the impact of learning programming language on deciding major for freshmen who enter the university without specific major and decide their majors from sophomore. Another is to compare between 2015 group without specific major at freshmen and 2013 group who were not required to take program language courses. Our study has several important implications. First, this study is the first attempt to figure out the effects of the program language education on deciding major. Secondly, one can predict the effects and importance of software education which is going to imply to all highschool students starting from 2018. Thirdly, software education may help to alleviate science and engineering aversion.

  • Currently, education is being conducted through face-to-face classes and instructional design using blended learning, an integrated online and offline model that utilizes online characteristics. As the paradigm of education has changed from face-to-face classes to non-face-to-face classes since COVID-19, teaching methods to respond to changes are required in the educational field. In this paper, as a instructional design model using online, we proposed a instructional design model that conducts online classes in non-real time and then conducts online face-to-face classes using virtual classrooms in real time. In addition, a teaching strategy that can apply the online face-to-face teaching design model using the proposed virtual class room to software classes was presented. The proposed instructional design model will be able to prepare for a paradigm shift in education with a teaching design that can accommodate the characteristics of face-to-face education online.
