The Actual Condition of Care Label Attached to Clothing and Consumers' Perception (의류제품 취급표시 부칙 실태 및 소비자 의식)

  • To study on the actual condition of care label attached to clothing and consumers' perception, 250 summer clothes sold at department store-blouse, trousers, one-piece dress, knit cardigan and skirt-were investigated during July 2000. In addition, a questionnaire was administered to 192 women in Taegu during August. The fiber contents of surveyed clothes were polyester 100% & polyester blend (26%), rayon 100% & rayon blend (18%), cotton 100% & cotton blend (17%), wool 100% & wool blend (14%) and others. All clothes surveyed were attached care label and the signals showed on care labels were 4~6 kinds about cleaning, squeezing, drying, bleaching, and ironing methods. 92% of clothes had to be dry-cleaned and only 8% could be wet-cleaned. Considered the surveyed clothes were for summer which needs frequent washing and the clothing items, the number of clothes had to dry-cleaned were too many. The bleaching instructions were no chlorine bleach (74%), no bleaching (21%) and others. The ironing instructions were cool ironing ($80{\sim}120^{\circ}C$) with cover (24%) and warm ironing ($140{\sim}160^{\circ}C$) with cover (69%) primarily. The drying instructions was dry on a hanger in the shade (54%) and 38% had no signal or incorrect signal. The properties of summer clothes considered important by consumers were wrinkled hardly, hand-washable, machine-washable, needed no iron and etc. Actually most of summer clothes were hand or machine-washed. Also, the majority of respondents felt inconvenient to have to dry-clean summer clothes. More than 80% respondents looked over care label and fiber content label before buying clothes. However most of respondents did not followed that instructions exactly and thought care label instructions were not correct. Considered this results, the suppliers have to make efforts to attach correct and appropriate care label which furnish the correct information to consumers.

의류업체의 시장지향성, 판매원의 직무능력이 판매원 만족에 미치는 영향

  • 고객의 가치를 창조해나가기 위해 고객을 중시하 는 시장지향적인 기업문화가 확산되며, 이와 함께 판 매현장 최일선에서 고객을 직접 응대하며 기업의 시 장지향성을 실현하고 고객을 관리하는 패션판매원의 중요성이 높아지고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 시장지향 적인 기업문화와 판매원의 중요성이 높아짐에 따라 본 연구는 의류업체의 시장 지향성의 유형을 밝히고, 이러한 시장지향적 노력이 판매원의 능력과 함께 의류업체의 판매원의 만족에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 이들의 규명을 통해 궁극적으 로 기업의 성과에 기여하는 판매원 만족에 영향을 미치는 시장지향성의 유형과 판매원의 능력 유형을 밝혀 의류업체의 시장지향적 기업문화 실현에 기여 하고자 하였다. 설문지를 이용한 실증적인 조사연구방법이 사용 되었고, 연구대상은 서울과 분당에 위치한 L백화점의 여성복 의류매장에 근무하고 있는 삽마스터 600 명을 대상으로 하였다. 선행연구를 근거로 하고 의류 업체에 맞게 수정 보완한 질문지를 사용하여, 최종 분석된 설문지는 547부이다. 자료분석은 SPSS pc + 8.0올 이용하여 빈도분석, 백분율, 요인분석, 중다회 귀분석을 사용하였다. 수거된 질문지를 통계처리 한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 의류업체의 시장지향성을 요인분석한 결과 '시장정보의 획득'시장정보의 확산', '시장정보에 대 한 반응'의 세 요인으로 나눌 수 있었다. 시장정보를 획득하는 활동에는 매장의 소비자조사. POS시스템 의 활용. 삽마스터 회의에의 관심, 경쟁 브랜드 조사 그리고 판매사원을 통한 고객의 반응 조사 등의 내 용이 포함된다. 시장정보를 확산시키고자하는 활동 에는 매장에서 본사로 상황을 보고하고, 고껴의 시정 요구를 해결하고자 하는 노력. 판매원이 제시하는 소 비자동향의 반영, 그리고 삽마스터 회의 등씩 내용이 포함되며, 시장정보에 대한 반응은 풍부한 물량공급 과 히트상품의 지속적인 공급을 활동 내용으로 한다' 둘째, 의류업체의 시장지향성은 판매원의 만족도 에 정적인 영향을 나타냈다. 이는 의류업체가 시장정 보 수집에 적극적이고, 매장과 긴밀한 정보교류를 하 며, 수집된 정보를 적극 활용하여 상품개발이나 공급 등의 노력을 보일 때 판매원이 회사에 대해 강한 신 뢰감을 느껴 만족감을 느끼게 되고 이것이 바로 성 과로 이어질 수 있는 것을 의미한다. 셋째, 판매원의 회사전략 인지능력, 의류제조과정 인지능력. 고객서버스 능력, 자율적인 목표설정 능력. 고정고객관리능력이 클수록 직무자체와 인간관계에 대한 만족도가 높게 나타나 판매원의 직무한력은 판 매원의 만족에 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이 는 의류업체에서 능력 있는 판매원을 육성하거나 영 입하는데 힘써야 함을 시사하는 결과이다.

Causes Attributable to Achieving Consumers' Personal Goals in Advance, Deservingness and Indulgent Consumption (소비자의 사전 목적달성에 귀인되는 원인과 자기보상자격 그리고 탐닉소비)

  • Purpose - Previous studies have not paid attention to pride type and effort type when consumers feel pride. In the present paper, the pride was divided into the two types such as hubristic pride and authentic pride. The causes attributed to achieve the goals when consumers achieved their personal goals, which could induce their pride were divided into trait, special effort, and universal effort, gratitude. This research attempted to investigate the mediation role of self-reward deservingness in finding the differences of inclination to indulgent consumption among the traits or special effort, the universal effort, and other's help. Research design, data, and methodology - In the empirical study, 'general flour food restaurants, Kimbabchunkuk, Edya, etc.' and 'VIPS, Outback, Starbucks, etc.' were taken as the two groups of subjects as empirical brand goods since they presented good contrast with each other. The single-factor design between subjects was adopted in this study by classifying the causes attributable to achieving the pre-goals of consumers into 4 categories: one attributable to trait; one attributable to special effort; one attributable to universal effort; one attributable to other's help. Results - The outcomes from the empirical analysis are as followings. First, the consumers who attributed to trait or special effort for achieving their personal goals in advance turned out to show stronger inclination toward direct indulgent consumption than those who attributed to universal effort or other's help for achieving the goals, without regard to self-reward deservingness. Second, those consumers who attributed to special effort for achieving their personal goals in advance revealed stronger inclination toward indulgent consumption with mediation of self-reward deservingness than those who attributed to trait or universal effort. And those who attributed to special effort or trait for achieving the goals revealed stronger inclination toward the consumption with the mediation of the deservingness than those who attributed to other's help. Conclusions - The present study is contributing to the progress of theories concerning hubris pride, authentic pride, and indulgent consumption. Marketing managers should endeavor to find pride type consumers felt according the causes attributed to for achieving important goals in advance, and make an efforts to develop messages that could appeal to the pride type.

An Exploratory Study on Shopping Condition of Dongdaemoon Shoppingmall Perceived by Consumers (소비자가 인지하는 동대문시장의 쇼핑여건에 대한 탐색적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the shopping condition of Dongdaemoon Shoppingmall. A depth interview was administered to eight consumers aged 10s through 30s who had shopping experiences at Dongdaemoon Shoppingmall. The contents of interview were about the reasons of preference for Dongdaemoon Shoppingmall, the merchandise categories purchased, assortment, price, shopping environment, and service offered by Dongdaemoon Shoppingmall. The results of this study were as follows: The reasons of consumers' Dongdaemoon Shoppingmall preference were reasonable price, variety of merchandise assortment, easy catch of fashion trend, entertainment place, and opening hour at nighttime. The mainly purchased items were casual and fashionable clothes. Children's wear was mainly bought item by housewives too. The unique design, similar merchandises sold at department stores and new style in early adoption of fashion cycle were perceived as positive aspects, but copied merchandises and large quantity of same merchandise as negative aspects. The fixed price system was not trusted by consumers. Consumers' complaints about shopping condition were crowded pathways and shopping booths, the lacks of facilities such as fitting room, toilet, lounge area, sales persons' service, and difficulty of using credit cards. From these results, some implications for marketing strategies and practices might be suggested. In order to improve the design variety of merchandises, marketers and apparel manufacturers should make efforts by managing merchandise planning, production, selling, and promotion cooperatively. Fixed price system, acceptance of credit cards, and merchandise return/exchange service should be improved. The training the salespersons was the most important and basic step and easy way to get to successful business.

Actual Feeling Service Model for Video-Media Contents (영상미디어콘텐츠에 대한 실감 서비스 모델)

  • In recently, as the interest of media contents increase among internet users, a variety of media contents are circulated in the web. Especially, video-media content in media contents attracts internet user's interest. In conjunction with web 2.0, internet users open and share their making contents by themselves. Their attitude about accepting media contents is not passive but aggressive. Additionally, they create new form of distribution of the flow. Video media content for distribution on the Web is created by experts to a professional content, but Web 2.0 era, the UCC (User Create Contents) in the form of self-produced content is the most. The generated media by the general internet users, but self-produced content, provides video information only and has limitations. To satisfy internet users as consumers in the web 2.0 eras, it has needed to provide actual feeling contents that add various effects not just simple media. Therefore, this paper represents the existing media content with simple information based on the concept of ontology and the meaning to the subject for the media content. We will provide an actual feeling how to offer the configuration of a service model (AF-VS : Actual Feeling Video Service).

Influences of Social, Personal Norms and Perceived Importance of Consequences of Behaviors on Pro-Environmental Product Purchase and Recycling Behaviors (사회·개인규범, 행동결과중요성지각이 환경친화제품구매·재활용행동에 미치는 영향)

  • 본 연구는 환경지향제품구매와 재활용행동을 설명하기 위한 것으로 Schwartz 가 제기한 규범이론에 관한 이론고찰과 실증분석을 병행하고 있다. 규범이론의 핵심은 사회규범을 개인의 행동으로 전환시키는 과정을 설명하는 것이다. 규범이론에 따르면 환경지향제품구매와 재활용과 같은 이타적 행동은 사람들이 일종의 추상적이고 객관적인 방식으로 동의하는 도덕적 행동에 관한 사회규범으로 시작된다. 그러나 사회규범은 행동을 지배하기에는 너무 일반적이고 소원하다. 따라서 이러한 사회규범은 개인적 차원에서 우리들 각 개인에게 적응되어 개인규범이 된다. 사회규범은 사회적 구조의 차원에서 존재하는 반면 개인규범은 강력하게 내면화 된 도덕적 태도가 된다. 개인이 규범을 내면화 했지만 이에 따라 행동하지 않을 수도 있는 데 상황에 적절하도록 개인규범이 정의되어야 한다. 규범이론은 주어진 상황에 적절하도록 사회규범을 개인규범으로 정의하도록 유도하기 위해서는 바로 행동결과지각과 책임귀인지각이 개입되어야 한다고 제기하고 있다. 본 연구는 이상의 규범이론에 근거하여 소비자의 환경지향제품구매행동과 재활용행동을 설명하고자 다음 세 가지 연구목적을 설정하였다. 첫째, 사회규범이 개인규범의 형성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? 둘째, 사회규범이 내면화 된 개인규범은 환경지향제품구매행동과 재활용행동에 직접적인 영향을 미치는가? 셋째, 규범이론은 조절변수가 개입되는 경우 개인규범이 행동으로 전환되는 것이 더욱 용이해진다고 제기한 바, 조절변수의 하나인 환경지향행동결과의 중요성지각의 영향을 검증하고자 한다. 연구결과, 환경문제가 개입된 상황에서 사회규범은 개인규범의 형성에 강한 영향을 미치며 개인규범은 다시 환경지향제품구매와 재활용행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 환경지향행동결과의 중요성지각 역시 개인규범이 환경지향제품구매행동으로 전환되는 과정에서 조절적 역할을 함으로서 양변수간 관계를 더욱 강화하는 변수임을 연구결과는 제시하고 있다. 그러나 개인규범-재활용행동사이에서의 조절적 역할은 없는 것으로 나타났다.

The Study on the Advertising Effect of Multiple Models -Message Regulatory Focus as An Moderator- (복수모델의 광고효과에 관한 연구 - 메시지 조절초점의 조절 효과를 중심으로 -)

  • This research was to investigate the role of message regulatory focus on the advertising effect of multiple models. The multiple models are limited to two models in one advertisement in this research. This research investigated the hypothesis that multiple models, in terms of multiple source effect and social consensus, appears specifically to enhance the relationship of consumer and commercial models on the conditions of promotion-focused message which leads to the information processing of relational elaboration. This research applied a between-subjects factorial design targeting 2(the number of model: single model vs. multiple models) by 2(message regulatory focus: promotion-focused message vs. prevention-focused message). As a result, multiple models showed more positive ad attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intention than did single model. And promotion-focused message with multiple models showed more positive ad attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intention than did prevention-focused message with multiple models. Also there was an interaction effect between the number of model and the type of message regulatory focus. It wasn't fully supported that there is no difference of advertising effect between promotion-focused message and prevention-focused message on the condition of single model.

Changes in Internal and External Temperature and Microbiological Contamination depending on Consumer Behavior after Purchase of Fresh-Cut Produces (대형마트 신선편의식품 소비자의 구매 후 행동에 따른 식품 내·외부 온도 및 미생물학적 오염 변화)

  • In this study, we investigated the changes in both ambient temperature and microbial contamination of fresh convenience foods (FCFs) caused by the behavior of consumers after purchase. According to consumer survey results, it took 0.5 to 3 h put the purchased FCF in a home refrigerator or consume it. Only aerobic bacteria and Staphylococcus aureus (below maximum permitted limit) were detected in FCFs obtained from a local market. During storage of FCFs in a vehicle trunk for up to 3 h. the external and internal temperatures of FCFs were found to be 19 and 18.5℃ in spring, 44 and 42℃ in summer, 31.3 and 29.2℃ in autumn, and 17.6 and 16.8℃ in winter, respectively. Changes in contamination levels of aerobic bacteria on FCFs stored in a vehicle trunk for up to 3 hours are as follows: 2.72 → 3.41 log CFU/g in spring, 3.11 → 4.32 log CFU/g in summer, 3.08 → 3.81 log CFU/g in autumn, 2.71 → 3.36 log CFU/g in winter. S. aureus exceeding the tolerance was detected even when the FCFs were stored in a vehicle trunk for 1 h in summer and autumn and 2 h in spring and winter. Among three boxes (corrugated box, styrofoam box, and corrugated box coated with an aluminum film), the styrofoam box maintained the lowest temperature and showed the lowest growth rate of microorganisms on FCF after storage for 3 h in the vehicle trunk depending on whether ice was added. These results indicated that the possibility of food poisoning occurs when FCFs are exposed to the external environment. It is necessary to provide guidelines regarding storage temperature and allowable time for safe consumption of FCFs after purchase.
