  • Since the 1990s, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) issues have been attracting more and more attention from companies and researchers alike. The purchasing behavior of consumers is directly related to not only a company's financial performance, but also the future development of the company. Much of the previous research regarding CSR has mainly focused on the perspectives of enterprises. This paper aims to study the impact of CSR on purchase intention in three aspects - consumer, company and country. We decided to use Samsung to describe the impact of CSR on consumer purchase intentions in China. The results of this study revealed that CSR has a positive impact on the consumer-company identification, corporate reputation and country of origin image. Consumer-company identification turned out to be amore important moderator between CSR and consumers' purchase intentions than country of origin image and corporate reputation.

  • In this study we postulated that the trust plays an essential mediating role in the relationship between the corporate social responsibility activities and corporate evaluation and product evaluation. In addition, we examined the perception difference to the Korean-Chinese consumers in these relations. A model integrating four types of CSR activities(economic, legal, ethical, and philanthropic), three dimensions of trust(integrity trust, expertise trust, social benevolence trust), and the corporate evaluation, product evaluation was tested using data of 400 consumers. The results of the data analysis showed that the economic responsibility and ethical responsibility had a significant influence on the integrity trust, expertise trust and benevolence trust in the case of the Korean consumers. But, in the Chinese consumers, the economic responsibility positively influenced on the expertise trust and benevolence trust. The legal esponsibility had a significant impact on the integrity trust and benevolence trust in the case of both Korean consumers and Chinese consumers. Also, ethical responsibility positively influenced on the integrity trust and benevolence trust in the case of Chinese consumers. Finally, philanthropic responsibility had not significant influence on the expertise trust in case of both Korean consumers and Chinese consumers. The results of this study will help corporations to understand the relative importance among the four responsibilities and to make decisions in allocating their resources.

  • An increase in interests in consumers' social responsibilities, or ethical spending, starts from a recognition that the consumption of an individual does not stop with the individual, but also affects overall society. The recognition of consumers' social responsibilities leads to demands for corporate social responsibility. Therefore, this study analyzed how social responsibility recognition affects consumers' needs for corporate social responsibility using college students. All data was analyzed with the SPSS Windows 18.0 program in terms of frequency, Crobach's ${\alpha}$, factor analyses, paired t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression. The results are as following: first, the recognition level of consumers' social responsibilities in college students was at an average level and the consumer's needs for corporate social responsibility were higher than usual. Second, the grade level, military experience, and economic status of the college students changed their views on consumers' needs for corporate social responsibility. Groups with higher consumers' social responsibilities had higher consumer demands for corporate social responsibility. Through this, we can see that consumers' social responsibilities affects the consumer's needs for corporate social responsibility.

  • As purchasing power of Chinese consumers has increased and their purchase channels have become more various, Chinese consumers are paying more attention to foreign products and purchasing more of them as well as the domestic goods. With great expectations, many companies in different nations are scrambling into the Chinese market. In this situation, Chinese consumers have a wider range of choices when selecting and purchasing goods, thereby trying to take several factors into account in order to choose the best one in a limited time. This study is about how much country-of-origin image, brand attitude and corporate social responsibility influence Chinese consumers' quality perception and their purchase decisions. The study result shows that country-of-origin image, brand attitude and corporate social responsibility all have a positive effect on perceived quality of the consumers, and among those three, the brand attitude is found to be the most influential factor. It also shows that perceived quality brings a positive effect on purchase intention. Also, in terms of difference in product categories, the influence of corporate social responsibility on perceived quality and the influence of perceived quality on purchase intention are shown greater in dairy products than in PC. This study has academic significance as it has investigated consumer behavior, considering each different factor above. • This study is to learn if and how company-consumer identification in regard of Chinese consumers influences the consumers' behavioral responses with their evaluation on Korean products. To be learned also is differential influences on company-consumer identification generated by two different factors of corporate image, which are corporate ability and corporate social responsibility, through Structural Equation Modeling. The results obtained by actual analysis are as follows. First, both corporate ability and corporate social responsibility turn out to be positively influential on company-consumer identification. Second, the company-consumer identification as to the Korean companies displayed by Chinese consumers induces positive influences on Korean products, which in turn induces positive influences on Chinese consumers' behavioral responses. These results suggest that in the future the Korean companies already settled in China not only need to enhance corporate ability but also have to give efforts on corporate social responsibility in order to improve their continuous and long-term relationship with Chinese consumers.
