Characteristics of Speckle Errors of SeaWiFS Chlorophyll-$\alpha$ in the East Sea (동해 SeaWiFS 클로로필-$\alpha$ 농도의 스펙클 오차 특성)

  • 1997년 9월부터 2007년 12월까지 인공위성 해색센서 SeaWiFS의 클로로필-$\alpha$ 농도가 가지는 오차 특성을 분석하고 그 원인을 조사하였다. 동해의 클로로필-$\alpha$ 월별 분포에는 비정상적으로 높은 농도값이 스펙클(speckle) 형태로 출현하였다. 스펙클들은 시공간적으로 연계성이 없이 산발적으로 분포하였으며 주변 평균에 대해 $10mg/m^3$ 이상의 편차를 보였다. 스펙클들은 주로 겨울철에 나타났으며 구름 분포와 관련이 있었다. 10년간 월별 운량 분석 결과 겨울철 운량은 다른 계절과 달리 남동해상에 집중적으로 분포하였으며, 운량이 클수록 스펙클의 농도가 크게 나타나는 통계적 특성을 보였다. 특히 스펙클이 나타나는 화소의 각 밴드별 정규화된 수출광량을 분석해 본 결과 짧은 파장 영역(443, 490, 510 nm)은 전체적으로 수출광량이 낮게 나타난 반면 550 nm 밴드는 정상 화소와 유사한 분포를 보였다. 짧은 파장 영역의 낮은 수출광량은 555 nm 밴드에 대한 비율로 구해지는 클로로필-$\alpha$ 농도값을 비정상적으로 증폭시켰으며 SeaWiFS 자료에 스펙클을 유발하였다. 본 연구는 동해의 SeaWiFS 클로로필-$\alpha$ 농도자료가 지니는 스펙클 오차에 대한 문제점을 제기하고 오차 특성 분석을 통해 좀 더 신뢰도 있는 자료를 해양 응용 연구에 사용해야 함을 제시한다.

  • This paper presents an Implementation of digital high-performance position sensorless control system of Reluctance Synchronous Motor(RSM) drives with Direct Torque Control(DTC). The system consists of stator flux observer, speed and torque estimator, two digital hysteresis controllers, an optimal switching look-up table, Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor(IGBT) voltage source inverter, and TMS320C31 DSP board. The stator flux observer Is based on the combined voltage and current model with stator flux feedback adaptive control of which inputs are current and voltage sensed on motor terminal for wide speed range. In order to prove the suggested sensorless control algorithm for industrial field application, we have some simulation and actual experiment at low and high speed range. The developed high-performance speed control by fully digital system are shown a good response characteristic of control results and high performance features using 1.0[kW] RSM having 2.57 reluctance ratio of $L_d/L_q$.

  • A current mode PWM method applied one cycle response to averaging circuit model Buck converters is presented. The controller nonlinear PWM implement is based on the error between the switched variable and the response reference to zero each cycle. As the result, the system transfer function is derived as a function of the desired close loop poles, simplifying the design procedure and bringing forward all the important characteristics of the close loop system. The proposed controller has significant advantages over conventional current mode control methods in noise susceptibility, dynamic response and without inductor current sensing, Finally, the simulation and experiment results confirm the proposed PWM control techniques.

  • 광섬유는 저손실, 광대역의 전송특성을 가지며 세경(細徑), 경량등 많은 장점을 가지고 있지만 동케이블과 같이 파단점, 불연속점등의 장해점 탐색에 대한 어려움이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 OTDR(Optical Time Domain Reflectometer)은 고감도, 고정도의 광센싱 기술, 극초단 광펄스 레이다 기술, 광다중화 센서 네트웍기술, 실시간 광신호처리 기술 등 정밀 광계측 및 신호처리기술을 적용하여 설치된 광섬유의 손실 정도를 측정하는 시스템으로 광섬유에 입사된 광의 산란 가운데 Rayleigh 산란에 의해서 생기는 후방산란광을 관측하여 광파이버의 파단점 탐색 및 손실측정이 가능하다. 최근 대부분의 유선통신망은 광섬유를 이용한 광통신방식으로 이루어지고 있으며 이러한 광섬유의 고장점을 찾기 위한 방법은 OTDR방식이 유일하다고 할 수 있다. 본 논문은 Rayleigh 후방산란에 의한 광학적 특성을 규명하고 이러한 특성을 이용하여 이용한 광섬유 유지보수용 계측시스템을 설계, 제작하고 실험한 결과에 대하여 설명하고 고찰하였다. 측정거리를 40Km까지 측정하도록 하였으며, 모니터상에서의 거리 분해능은 5m정도를 가지며 1310nm의 파장을 사용하였다.

  • 모바일 영상 기기들에 사용되는 저전력, 고화질의 이미지 센서는 Rolling Shutter 방식을 사용하는 CIS(CMOS Image Sensor)이다. 구조적 특성에 의해 Rolling Shutter 방식을 사용하는 CIS는 촬영 환경에 의해 결과물에 왜곡을 일으키게 된다. 본 논문은 Rolling Shutter에 의한 왜곡을 분석하고 촬영된 영상의 Rolling Shutter 왜곡 모션벡터를 예측하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 또한 제안 알고리즘의 정확성을 높이기 위해 Sub-block과 Kalman-filter를 적용하여 Sub-pixel 단위로 계산하여 기존의 Lucas-Kanade 알고리즘 보다 효율적인 모션벡터 예측 알고리즘을 제안한다. 또한 보다 정확한 성능 변화를 추적하기 위하여 MSE 방식을 사용하여 비교 분석 하였다.

  • It was well known that thermopile was quiet a competent sensor using to probe the temperature of "hot point" where the temperature can be off the temperature-limitation for normal operation of the main electrical power equipment. In the present work, we aimed for developing new Ge-thermopile materials which can be using a non-contact temperature sensors at various hot-point of the power equipment and evaluation of its output property. As a results of the present works, a new thermopile which were composed Ga-poded p-type and Sb-doped n-type in Ge-semiconductor were designed and manufactured by MBE(Molecular Beam Epitaxy) process and showed superior sensitivity at room temperature.

From electronic dehumidifier is manufacture by using thermoelectric module, no sound, no vibration, low power consumption of partial space efficient dehumidify proves the validity of this system.

  • Recently, an intelligent service robot is being developed for use in guiding and providing information to visitors about the building at public institutions. The intelligent robot has a sensor at the bottom to recognize its location. Four wheels, which are arranged in the form of a lozenge, support the robot. This robot cannot be operated on uneven ground because its driving parts are attached to its main body that contains the important internal components. Continuous impact with the ground can change the precise positions of the components and weaken the connection between each structural part. In this paper, the design of the suspension system for such a robot is described. The dynamic model of the robot is created, and the driving characteristics of the robot with the designed suspension system are simulated. Additionally, the suspension system is optimized to reduce the impact for the robot components.

  • Switching controllers for active magnetic bearings are claimed to minimize the copper losses because they do not use bias currents. In this study, we compare the performances of the switching controller with those of the widely used proportional-derivative (PD) controller. The PD controller is combined with a synchronous notch filter to reduce the effect of the unbalance disturbance. For a fair and objective comparison, the PD controller is designed systematically. The switching controller is designed so that the dynamics of the two controllers are almost identical. A system model is developed. This model includes the flexible modes of the rotor and the dynamics of the sensors and amplifiers. The simulation results show that the switching controller indeed reduces the copper loss at lower speeds. However, it fails to operate around the speed close to the bending mode of the rotor.

A Study on Coordinated Attitude Flying for Sequential Spacecraft Tracking (목표비행체 연속 추적을 위한 자세틀 유지비행에 관한 연구)

  • This paper derives the equation of coordinated attitude formulation taking into account the orbital dynamics of a target vehicle and the attitude of a tracking satellite in geostationary orbit. The coordinated attitude is always to communicate with the ground station during the target tracking. Because the tracking satellite could perform high angle maneuver, MRP parameters having no singular point are used. Also for the sequential tracking of several target vehicles, the equation automatically making a coordinated attitude is suggested. Coordinated attitude flying and sequential tracking are confirmed through simulations. In short, this paper shows that a satellite could track a target vehicle and communicate with ground station simultaneously using the derived equation of coordinated attitude even though without a accuracy sensor.
