실험계획법을 이용한 인서트 종류에 따른 Inconel 718 선삭가공조건 최적화 (Optimization of the Turning Conditions of Inconel 718 according to Insert Materials using DOE)

  • Inconel 718 is nickel-based and is increasingly being used as a key component in the nuclear, aerospace, and chemical industries which require high fatigue strength and oxidation, because of its excellent corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and wear resistance. It is a heat-resistant alloy which has excellent mechanical properties; however, material deformation, cracking, and shaking occur because of the high cutting temperature accumulated on the cutting surface during cutting processing, and heat accumulated at the insert boundary. Owing to these characteristics, various studies have been conducted, such as developing a tool exclusively for non-deletion, analyzing tool wear, and developing a tool cooling system. However, the optimization of the cutting process is still insufficient. In this study, the optimal process conditions were derived experimentally by cutting conditions according to the insert type during the cutting of Inconel 718.

Hexagonal 인서트용 열간압출 금형설계 (Die Design of Hot Extrusion for Hexagonal Insert)

  • The use of hexagonal ceramic inserts for copper extrusion dies offers significant technical and economic advantages over other forms of manufacture. In this paper the data on the loading of the tools is determined from a commercial FEM package as the contact stress distribution on the die-workpiece interface and as temperature distributions in the die. This data can be processed as load input data for a finite element die-stress analysis. Process simulation and stress analysis are thus combined during the design and a data exchange program has been developed that enables optimal design of the dies taking into account the elastic deflections generated in shrink fitting the die inserts and that caused by the stresses generated in the process. The stress analysis of the dies is used to determine the stress conditions on the ceramic insert by considering contact and interference effects under both mechanical and thermal loads.

  • 1) Natural gas engine에서 intake valve와 valve seat insert가 exhuast valve와 valve seat insert보다 마모가 심하다. 2) Ceramic valve seat insert을 금속재료를 사용하는 것이 보다 더욱 효과적이다. 즉 적어도 3배 정도 마모가 적게 일어난다. 3) Ceramic valve와 ceramic valve seat insert로 결합한 경우 valve face 또는 stem 부위에서 응력이 집중되어 파손된다. 따라서 현재의 ceramic valve design methodology로는 ceramic valve은 좋은 결과를 얻을 수 없다. 4) 가장 효과적인 결합은 Tribolloy 800의 hardfacing 합금의 valve와 질화규소의 valve seat insert이다.

In this paper, process simulation and stress analysis are thus combined during the design, and a data exchange program has been developed that enables optimal design of the dies taking into account the elastic deflections generated in shrink fitting the die inserts and that caused by the stresses generated in the process. The shrink fit analysis has been performed that enables optimal design of the dies taking into account the elastic deflections which generated in shrink fitting the die inserts and that caused by the stresses generated in the process and by using DEFORM software for process analysis. This data can be processed as load input data for a finite element die-stress analysis. Process simulation and stress analysis are thus combined during the die design. The stress analysis of the dies is used to determine the stress conditions on the ceramic insert by considering contact and interference effects under both mechanical and thermal loads. The results are compared with the experimental ones for verification.

분말사출성형을 이용한 다수 캐비티 치과용 요오드 용기 금형제작에 관한 연구 (A Study on mold manufacture of multi-cavity dental iodine container using powder injection molding)

  • 치과에서 사용되는 구강 치료용 요오드 용기는 개폐 시 용기의 캡에 부착되어 있는 칼날에 의해 치료용 실은 절단이 된다. 금속의 칼날은 요오드 용액과 반응하여 단기간에 부식이 되는 문제로 인해 환자의 위생에도 영향을 준다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 최근 세라믹 칼날로 대체되어진 제품들도 개발되어 생산되는데, 이때 세라믹 칼날은 수작업과 기계가공을 통해 만들어 진다. 본 연구에서는 세라믹 칼날을 분말사출성형공정으로 대량 생산할 수 있도록 20Cavity의 균일 충전을 위한 유동 시스템을 제안하였다. Moldflow를 이용하여 20cavity 유동성에 대한 시뮬레이션을 진행하였고, 금형제작과 수정을 통해 금형을 완성하였다. 사출성형 후 탈지와 소결공정을 통해 완성하고, 금형에 세라믹 칼날을 인서트 사출하여 캡 제품을 완성하였다. 본 연구를 통해 유효한 절단 성능을 갖는 세라믹칼날 대량생산 가능성을 검증하였다.

A$_2$O$_3$세라믹과 Ni-Cr-Mo鋼과의 인서트 合金을 이용한 擴散接合에 關한 硏究 (A study on the diffusion bonding of the $Al_2$O$_3$ ceramics to metal)

  • The joining methods of ceramics to metals which can be expected to obtain high temperature strength are mainly classified into the solid-state diffusion bonding method and the active brazing method. Between these two, the solid-state diffusion bonding method is given attentions as substituting method for active brazing method due to being capable of obtaining higher bonding strength at high temperature and accurate bonding. In this paper, the solid-state diffusion bonding of $Al_{2}$O$_{3}$ ceramics to Ni-Cr-Mo alloy steel (SNCM21) using insert metal was carried out. The insert metal employed in this study was experimentally home-made, Ag-Cu-Ti alloy. Influence of several bonding parameters of $Al_{2}$O$_{3}$SNCM21 joint was quantitatively evaluated by bonding strength test, and microstructural analyses at the interlayer were performed by SEM/EDX. From above experiments, the optimum bonding condition of the solid-state diffusion bonding of $Al_{2}$O$_{3}$/SNCM21 using Ag-Cu-Ti insert metal was determined. Futhermore, high temperature strength and thermal-shock properties of $Al_{2}$O$_{3}$/SNCM21 joint were also examined. The results obtained are as follows. 1. The maximum bonding strength was obtained at the temperature of 95% melting point of insert metal. 2. The high temperature strength of $Al_{2}$O$_{3}$/SNCM21 joint appeared to bemaximum value at test temperature 500.deg.C and the bonding strength with increasingtemperature showed parabolic curve. 3. The strength of thermal-shocked specimens was far deteriorated than those of as-bonded specimens. Especially, water-quenched specimen after heated up to 600.deg. C was directly fractured in quenching.

철도구조물에 대한 세라믹 인서트 및 앵커의 적용 방안 연구 (A Study on Ceramic Insert and Anchor Application for Railway Structures)

  • Ceramic insert and anchor has many advantages compared with existing steel products, therefor widely applied for concrete bridge, tunnel, railroad and building etc. in Japan. Ceramic insert and anchor start-to-used in Korea is no longer, but the product has already been applied to various construction sites and have been recognized for excellence. But now in Korea, the ceramic insert and anchor are not yet widely use like in Japan. This paper was an introduction to the ceramic insert and anchor, and detailed explained the product excellent performance. Ceramic insert and anchor can be applied to many areas, but in this case the focus was the application of ceramic insert and anchor for railway structures. In this paper we detailed compared the ceramic products with existing steel products in their respective characteristic, and analyzed on their application in domestic and foreign.

우레탄레진(TSR-755)을 적용한 시작형 사출금형 연구 (Injection mold development applying starting mold material, urethane resin(TSR-755))

  • 본 연구에서는 우레탄레진(TSR-755)을 이용하여 레이저 조형으로 시작형 몰드를 가공하고, 상용패키지(Unigraphics)를 이용하여 자동차 단자함 케이블 케이스를 설계한 후 사출성형해석(Simpoe-Mold)을 사용하여 충전, 보압, 냉각, 변형해석을 수행하여 게이트 위치 선정 및 냉각 사이클 등을 검토 하였다. 해석결과, 세라믹소재 가공 후 사출금형에 인서트시켜 성형 시 열전도도 및 냉각시간을 줄여 줌을 확인할 수 있으며, 게이트 및 냉각라인 선정을 빠른 시간에 결정할 수 있어 생산성 향상을 가져올 것으로 나타났다.
