In this study, we attempted to understand the cultural characteristics of Korean food based on a traditional understanding of a Korean novel. To achieve this, food characteristics related to "Gaesung's foods" were analyzed in the representative Korean literary work Mimang. Mimang is a novel, from the latter era of the Chosun Dynasty to the Korean War in the Gaesung area. From that novel, it was discovered that first daily foods in the Gaesung area of the 19th century were various stored fermented foods. The second was the devotion of Gaesung food's cooking process and formal attire. The third was reflected in the economic abundance and the splendor of Gaesung food courts. The fourth was a modern public restaurant in Gaesung, an economic and commercial city. Another historically significant food found in Mimang was Gaesung ginseng.

19세기말에 차동보호계전방식이 이미 적용되었고 시스템 보호에 가장 먼저 사용되는 방식 중에 하나였다. 이 방식은 고장전력설비의 기기를 보호하기위해 전류의 입출력값을 비교함으로 고장을 검출하는 방법을 사용한다. 결과적으로 비율차동보호방식은 완벽하게 고장구간을 검출할 수 있으므로 전력설비의 중요기기의 주보호로 적합한 시스템이라고 볼 수 있다. 본 논문 변압기의 내/외부사고유형에 따른 전자기계식과 디지털 보호계전기의 동작특성을 컴퓨터기반의 해석 S/W를 이용하여 모델링과 동작특성에 대한 분석을 통해 보호계전기 동작특성의 신뢰성검증과 전력계통을 시뮬레이션하기 위해 구성하였다. 특히, 비율차동특성 보호 알고리즘을 계전기별로 모듈화하기 위한 기본 구조설계에 초점을 맞추었고 외부사고에 대해 각 보호계전기 동작특성을 비교함으로써 보호계전기 응답특성에 검증하는 기초 데이터를 생성하는 과정도 기술하였다.

인류의 역사는 앞으로 400여일이 지나면 새로운 천년을 맞이하게 된다 세계는 2000년을 기점으로 도약하기 위하여 VISION 2000을 제시하는 등 세기말을 바쁘게 지내고 있다 그러나 희망으로 다가오는 2000년은 시한폭탄이 되어 다가오고 이다 그것은 산업사회에서 정보화 사회로 이전되면서 우리가 모르는 사이에 디지털 시대에 살게 되었기 때문이다 디지털의 세계에서는 메모린의 절약과 표현의 간소화를 위하여 연도표기를 마지막 2자리 숫자로 사용하여왔다 그로인해 2000년이 되면 컴퓨터에서 처리되는 연도가 '00'으로 되어 1900년과 구별되지 않게 되었다 은행거래 각종공과금 계산의 오류는 물론이고 산업계 전역에 설치되어 있는 자동화기기의 RTC(Real Time Clock)오동작으로 국가 기반시스템까지 마비될 가능성을 파생시켰다 이러한 Y2K 문제(일명: 밀레니엄버그)는 크게 하드웨어 시스템 소프트웨어 애플리케이션 비정보처리계시스템(자동화기기)등 4가지 종류에서 발생하고 있다 본고에서는 이들 4가지 종류에 맞는 해결안을 마련하고 실현하는 구체적인 계획을 제시함을 물론 이어 최정적으로 이를 다시 통합해서 테스트하는 3단계방식으로 Y2K 문제를 해결하도록 제안하고자 한다.

지난 세기말까지는 통신의 주된 기능이 음성 전달에 머물렀지만 금세기에 들어와서는 동영상을 위시한 다양한 정보들이 생산되고 유통되며 소비되고 있다. 데이터 트래픽은 음성 트래픽을 오래 전에 추월하고도 매년 기세가 꺾일 줄 모르고 기하급수적으로 증가 중이다. 이러한 정보화 시대를 뒷받침하는 여러 요소가 있으나 광전송 기술의 공로도 결코 작은 것이 아니며 앞으로도 누구나 최소한의 비용으로 무한한 정보를 생산하고 유통하며 향유하는데 선도적 역할을 할 것이다. 돌이켜보면 1960년대에 유리로 된 광섬유를 통해 신호를 전송하는 아이디어가 나왔으며 1970년대 말에 광섬유 전송이 실용화 되었다. 그리고 1980년대에 광증폭기 기술이 등장하여 1990년대 후반에 광섬유선로 하나를 여러 신호가 공유하는 WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) 기술이 마침 시작된 트래픽 폭발을 뒷받침하여 빠른 속도로 확산되었다. 이제는 거의 무한대로 여겨지던 광섬유의 대역폭도 아껴 써야 하는 시대가 다가오고 있다. 한편 기존 광전송망의 에너지 소모, 비용, 상면적 등의 확장을 최소화하면서도 계속 증가하는 트래픽을 수용하여야 한다. 본고에서는 최근에 표준화가 이루어져 시장이 열리고 있는 100G급 기술을 중심으로 광전송 기술의 최근 동향을 요약하였다.

This study is focused on 'mysticism' in fashion which is recently marked as one of the cultural phenomenon emerging at the end of the century, First of all the concept of 'mysticism' and 'occultism' are reviewed to define the mysticism in fashion. Mysticism as a cultural phenomenon is also examined in historical and social context. With these theoretical basis articles which were publshed in 1990s from Korean newspapers and magazines which reported cultural phenomenon related to mysticism are analyzed and categorized. Finally these categories are applied to fashion phenomenon and 'mysticimsm in fashion' is analyzed and clearly examined as a fashion trend. As a result mysticism in fashion that has arose as an end of the century phenomenon within the historical and social context could be categorized into five groups such as 'primitive religion' ' Christianity ' 'oriental philosophy' 'universe' and 'magic and witchcraft'.

(1) 21세기 우리나라가 선진국에 진입하여 초일류 국가로 발돋움하기 위해서 반드시 해결해야 할 과제는 지식기반사회로의 성공적인 이행과 디지털 경제 시대에의 능동적인 대응임. (2) 지식기반사회 그리고 디지털 경제시대는 정보와 지식이 가치 창출과 경쟁력의 핵심 원천인 동시에 경제활동의 중심이 되며, 이러한 지식과 정보를 창출 획득, 활용 할 수 있도록 하기 위한 인적자원개발 관리가 국가 발전의 핵심 전략임. (3) 대다수 OECD 회원국에서는 이미 지난 세기말부터 지식기반사회로 이행하기 위한 국가 발전의 핵심 전략으로 인적자원개발 관리에 관심과 정책을 총집결하여 왔으며, 국가 차원의 교육개혁추진과 관련부처의 통폐합 등 인적자원개발 관리체제를 재구축 하였음. (4) 부존자원이 전무하여 사람에 의존할 수밖에 없는 우리나라도 다각적으로 인적자원개발 관리에 관심을 보이고, 정책을 펼쳐왔지만 아직 국가 차원의 인적자원개발 관리체제가 미흡하여 정책의 일관성이 결여되어 있을 뿐만 아니라 곳곳에 인적자원개발 관리의 비효율 비능률이 초래되고 있음.

최근 제조업과 공작기계 기술에 있어 세계를 지배하는 추세는 CIM (computer integrated manufacturing)의 도입이다. 그 이유는 CIM을 도입하여 발전시키고 개발시키는 국가에 대해서 장기적인 경제적, 사회적 이익을 주기 때문인 것이다. 이러한 추세는 제조업과 공작기계 분야에 컴퓨터와 관련된 기술의 개발과 응용에 있어 다음의 5가지 영역으로 구분된다. 즉, 일체화된 제조 소프트웨어 시스템 (integrated manufacturing software system), 그룹 기술 (group technology), 구획식제온 (cellular manufacturing), 공작기계의 컴퓨터제어 및 시험, 그리고 컴퓨터 제어식 산업 로봇(robot) 및 가변 제조(flexible manufacturing)이다. 미국에서 이러한 각 분야에 행해지고 있는 예로 응용되고 있으며, CIM이 가져다 주는 경제적, 사회적 이익을 추구 하는 국가들에 의해 많이 연구되고 있다. 이러한 노력은 이십세기말 이전에 이들 국가의 제조 업에 대단한 변화를 가져올 것이다.

세기말이 다가오면서 '역사의 종말'이니 '문화의 종말' 또는 '과학의 종말' 등 '종말'이라는 낱말로 끝나는 책들이 쏟아져 나오고 있다. 특히 '과학의 종말'이라는 의미는 20세기에 과학이 제시한 기본적인 문제들이 모두 해결된 것처럼 해석되기 쉽다. 그래서 오늘날 과학에서는 미결사항으로 정리하고 공백을 메우는 일만 남은 것처럼 비치고 있다. 그러나 과학자들에게는 아직도 과학이 해결하지 못한 수수께끼가 얼마든지 있다. 사람이 늙는 원인은 무엇일까? 3파운드 무게밖에 안되는 우리의 뇌가 의식현상을 어떻게 만들어내는 것일까? 우주의 종말은 어떻게 될 것일까? 우주에는 과연 종말이 없는 것일까? 불과 몇해 전만해도 답변할 수 없는 질문으로 여겼던 이런 문제들을 현재 과학자들은 온갖 상상력을 모두 동원하여 정력적으로 추구하고 있다. 월간 과학과기술은 현대과학이 아직도 풀지 못한 수수께끼들을 선별하여 새해의 새로운 읽을거리로 연재한다.

In a turn a century, the skepticism, mysticism and eroticism used to prevail, the people becoming anxious, expectative and doubtful about an oncoming age. The costumes tend to become more exciting and erotic in the fashion. This thesis is on understanding “What would 21 century's clothes be\ulcorner” after analyzing the specific points in an end of the century. The characteristics found from 16th century to 20th century are going to the extremes in the shapes, consistent appearance of bustle style costumes and excessive ornaments which are closely interrelated with one another. I expect the fashion in 21st century would be changed in two ways. Firstly, going to the extremes and stressing on the buttock would be going down in the end of 1999. Secondly, the comfortable clothes highest in function and technology, and also friendly to the environment, might be the main stream, rather then outwardly good looking clothes, because spirit and environment is much more emphasized than the mode by the social impact or pressure in the next era. Ornament in late nineteenth century Art Nouveau movement, especially abstract ornament in Viennese Art Nouveau, has a very complex aesthetical background. Ornament, for them was not just decorations in outer appearance, but a determinant element of formal languages. Abstract ornament in Viennese Art Nouveau has its theoretical and aesthetical bases in the Interpretation of nature, that is, the theory of the abstract ornament was founded on a new interpretation of nature, which, in its turn, was derived from the differentiational selection of the contemporary views of nature. The modernity of abstract ornament consists in the very fact that it was founded on a new interpretation of nature. This study alms at reviewing how the new interpretation of nature by abstract ornament criticized, rejected and accepted the contemporary views of nature. The overall tendency of this study is to synthesize and analyze the historical background of Viennes Art-Nouveau in regard to aesthetic theories of nature. The analysis method of this study is interpretation of written documents which are related to the issue.
