Mammoplasty is currently increasing not only for cosmetic surgery, but as well as for the recovery after breast cancer surgery. The prostheses inserted into the breasts of women who have undergone mammoplasty, hide the breast substances and it is becoming increasingly difficult to diagnose breast disease, and fear is growing by the concern of the prostheses bursting by the strap. So we want to develop a strap applicable to women with prostheses inserted, to determine the usefulness, and we also want to compare the utility by comparing the total area of the Inner and Outer parts of the breast and Posterior Nipple Line (PNL), after obtaining video by applying the existing strap and the developed strap to phantom of the prostheses inserted patient shape. When the pressure by the developed pressure, the total area increased by 10.09% from CC view to $9,813.797mm^2$, 3.88% from CC-ID view to $7,621.531mm^2$, PNL increased by 3.41% from CC view to $90.916mm^2$, 1.64% from CC-ID view to$75.357mm^2$. And the breast tissue of the thorax side increased 3.53% from CC view to $177.725mm^2$, and 6.57% from CC-ID view to $152.510mm^2$, and we could verify that the prostheses were completely eliminated in the CC-ID images of developed strap, compared with the existing strap.
Tennison was the first to recognize and to preserve the Cupid's bow by lowering the peak in the margin of the cleft. Randall had modified the Tennison's repair based on accurate measurements. Bardach's technique evolved from the basic concept of triangular flap cleft lip repair described by Tennison-Randall method. Precise measurements are used to define the dimensions of the equilateral triangular flap, which is created on the cleft side and is inserted into an equilateral triangular defect on the noncleft side. Two symmetrical vertical distances on either side of the cleft are thus formed. It is essential that the incisions in the skin correspond precisely with those on the muscles and mucosa, and that all layers are sutured with the use of the triangular flap, thus preventing vertical scar contracture. This procedure produces a symmetric, balance lip with a well-defined Cupid's bow, a symmetric vermilion, and a properly aligned orbicularis oris muscle. We had treated three patients with unilateral incomplete cleft lip by using Bardach's triangular flap method. The operation scars could be reduced comparing to Millard method because Bardach's method did not use the columella base and the alar base incision. And the flap design was more simple and accurate comparing to Tennison-Randall method. On the other hand, the postoperative scars on the philtrum pointed as a disadvantage of triangular flap method were cosmetically acceptable because the three patients had incomplete cleft lip. We have experienced that Bardach's triangular flap is a recommendable technique for the repair of unilateral incomplete cleft lip.
Craniofacial asymmetry was analyzed in 39 patients with complete unilateral cleft lip and palate(UCLP). The samples are devided into three groups nine below 9 years, twenty three from 9 years 1 month to 14 years and seven over 14 years group. Seventeen measurements were obtained from the tracing of PA X-ray cephalometric headfilms to evaluate the asymmetric characteristics and changes accdording to aging in UCLP. The obtained results were as follows. 1. Facial asymmetry in UCLP is variable(1.22-3.47 $mm/^{\circ}$) and the length from midsagitta1 reference line to maxillary 1st molar, to upper central incisor and the length of mandibular ramus showed significant asymmetry 2. Nasal septum and anterior nasal spine were deviated In the cleft side and the lower border of nasal cavity was 1ower in cleft side. 3. The deviation of nasal septum was continued significantly till after 14 years old.
To enhance the strength and formability of MCFC matrixes, alumina/${\gamma}$-LiAlO2 fiber-reinforced ${\gamma}$-LiAlO2 ma-trixes have been investigated. The MCFC matrixes with the thickness of 500~600 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ were prepared by tape-casting of the slurry containing 10~30wt% fibers, followed by heat-treating up to $650^{\circ}C$. The porosity of fi-ber-reinforced matrixes decreased with the content of fibers, while the appropriate porosity(50~60%) for MCFC matrixes could be attained by adding larger ${\gamma}$-LiAlO2 particles with the diameter of about 50${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ up to 50 wt%. The optimum length and content of the alumina fiber, both in the alignment of fibers and the enhancement of the strength, were found to be below 250${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and 20 wt%, respectively. On the other hand, the strength(156 gf/$\textrm{mm}^2$) of the ${\gamma}$-LiAlO2 matrix reinforced with ${\gamma}$-LiAlO2 fibers prepared in this study was improved by 20~40% in comparison with the alumina-fiber-reinforced matrix. It was also found that the alu-mina-fiber-reinforced matrix was completely corroded in molten carbonates but the ${\gamma}$-LiAlO2 was not.
This study was conducted to establish the proper techniques of the recirculating wick hydroponics for safe seed tuber proliferation of potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L. CV. Dejima). To achieve these, several intact tubers (5, 10 and 20 g) and cut seed-pieces (two or four) were treated in wick hydroponic system beds. A polystyrene box (31cm in width, 20cm in height, 51cm in length, and $0.031m^3$ in volume) was placed on a styrofoam hox. Eight wicks $(width\;1.5cm\;{\times}\;length\;40cm) $ were put into each polystyrene hox and the boxes were filled with perlite + peatmoss (1 : 2, v/v) medium. Top fresh weight per plant increased with increasing the tuber size from 10 to 30g/tuber. As the tuber size increases from 10 to 30 g/tuher in case of uncut tuber, the marketable tuber (>5g) production per plant increased from 83.8 to 141.8 g/plant and the marketable tuber (>5g) production per plant of cut tuber was slightly higher than that of uncut treatment. Total tuber yield ranged from 4.16 to $6.56kg/m^2$ and the percentage of seed tubers was greater than $97\%$ for all treatments. These results indicate that seed tuber should be cut to produce large tuber $(\geq10g)$ in the recirculating wick hydroponic system.

The corrosion of steel reinforcement in reinforced concrete bridge decks significantly affects the degradation of the capacity. Due to the advantageous characteristics such as high tensile strength and non-corrosive property, fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) has been gathering much interest from designers and engineers for possible usage as a alternative reinforcement for a steel reinforcing bar. However, its application has not been widespread, because there data for short- and long-term performance data of FRP reinforced concrete members are insufficient. In this paper, seven full-scale decks with dimensions of $4000{\times}3000{\times}240mm$ were prepared and tested to failure in the laboratory. The test parameter was the bottom reinforcement ratio in transverse direction. The decks were subjected to various levels of concentrated cyclic load with a contact area of $577{\times}231mm$ to simulate the vehicle loading of DB-24 truck wheel loads acting on the center span of the deck. It was observed that the glass FRP (GFRP) reinforced deck on a restraint girder is strongly effected to the level of the applied load rather than the bottom reinforcement ratio. The study results showed that the maximum load less than 58% of the maximum static load can be applied to the deck to resist a fatigue load of 2 million cycles. The fatigue life of the GFRP decks from this study showed the lower and higher fatigue performance than that of ordinary steel and CFRP rebar reinforced concrete deck. respectively.
High alumina cement(HAC) and polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) based macro-defect-free(MDF) cement composites were reinforced using short carbon fibers, 3mm in length, 1-4% in weight fraction and insoluble polymers such as polyurethane, epoxy, phenol resin, in order to increase mechanical properties and water stability. The specimens were manufactured by the low heat-press(warmpress) method. In addition, the interface and the cross-linking reaction of cement and polymers was also studied by the SEM and TEM. Flexural strength of HAC/PVA based MDF cementitious composites was proportionally decreased with increasing fiber contents due to the undensified structure around fibers. The flexural strength of insoluble polymer added specimen was decreased with increasing fiber contents, while water stability was dramatically improved. Epoxy resin added specimen showed the highest strength with increasing fiber contents, compared with other specimens. The water stability of fiber content 4% added specimen immersed in water presented about 95%, 87% at 3 and 7 days immersed in water, respectively. The interfacial adhesive strength of fiber-matrix was very much improved due to cross linking reaction of polymer and metal ions of cement. Tensile strength of insoluble polymers added composites as linearly increased with increasing the fiber contents. The epoxy resin added specimen also showed highest tensile strength. The 4% fiber added specimen presented 30~80% higher strength than controlled specimen.

The cylindrical ${\gamma}$-alumina pellets were prepared by forming, hydration, drying and calcination after mixing amorphous alumina and pore generating agent with water. Concentration of Fe(NO$_3$)$_3$ㆍ9$H_2O$ that was catalyst precursor was fixed and made mixing solution that changed concentration of $CH_3$COOH in range of 2.5~20%, and here ${\gamma}$-alumina pellets were immerged and were hydrothermaly treated for 3 h at $200^{\circ}C$. And then we investigated creation and change of crystal, pore characteristics, $N_2$ adsorption and desorption isotherms, changes of acid site and mechanical strengths etc. According to the concentration of $CH_3$COOH, the crystals grew to acicular shape of 0.5~2${\mu}m$ length, and crystal structure showed the pseudo-boehmite structure. When hydrothermaly treated in 10% $CH_3$COOH solution, pore volume between 100~1000 $\AA$ was highest by 0.86 cc/g, and width of hysteresis curved line due to $N_2$ adsorption/desorption appeared as was smallest. When concentration of $CH_3$COOH was in range of 5~15%, new C-H functional groups were formed. Mechanical strength of pellets was highest by 1.35 MPa when $CH_3$COOH concentration was 2.5%.
Purpose: Length measurement from maxillary anterior teeth root tip to nasal floor is incorrect in panoramic radiography. Comparison of cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and panoramic radiography should be helpful in determining the vertical length. Methods: Sixty nine patients were taken CBCT and panoramic radiography of the maxillary anterior. First measurement is length of parallel lines from the central incisor and lateral incisor root tip to nasal floor on CBCT. Second measurement is length of perpendicular lines from the central incisor and lateral incisor root tip to nasal floor on CBCT. Third measurement is length from the central incisor and lateral incisor root tip to nasal floor on panoramic radiographys. Results: In the first measurement of the maxillary central incisors, an average of $11.36{\pm}2.49$ mm in males and $10.49{\pm}2.17$ mm in females. In the second measurement of the maxillary central incisors, $10.41{\pm}2.42$ mm in males and $9.18{\pm}2.08$ mm in females. In the third measurement of the maxillary central incisors, $10.71{\pm}2.20$ mm in males and $9.27{\pm}2.10$ mm in females. In the first measurement of the maxillary lateral incisors, an average of $13.40{\pm}2.04$ mm in males and $11.96{\pm}2.20$ mm in females. In the second measurement of the maxillary lateral incisors, $11.25{\pm}1.82$ mm in males and $10.06{\pm}1.68$ mm in females. In the third measurement of the maxillary lateral incisors, $11.47{\pm}2.01$ mm in males and $10.13{\pm}1.70$ mm in females. Conclusion: The vertical length from root tip to nasal floor was longer in male than female (P>0.05). First measurement was longer than third measurement (P<0.05). This is the actual placement of the implant site measured on the vertical length than the length of the panorama means that there are a few more free. The first measurement was longer than 114% over the third measurement.
