As Korea has been rapidly transformed to be a multi cultural society, it becomes essential for nursing provider to develop cultural competency. The purpose of this study was to identify impact of self-reflection, critical thinking disposition and multi cultural experience on nursing student's cultural competence. A convenience sample of 148 nursing students was obtained from a university in Gyeonggi Province. Data was analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple regression. Significant relationships were found between self-reflection, critical thinking disposition, multi cultural experience and cultural competence in nursing student. The result of multiple regression indicates that critical thinking disposition (${\beta}=0.27$, p=.005), self-reflection (${\beta}=0.21$, p=.040) were the most consistent predictors of cultural competence and explained 26.0%. Thus, it is necessary to develop multi cultural education program including self-reflection and critical thinking disposition. The findings suggest the necessity to explore further various factors affecting the cultural competence and to conduct research for establishment a theoretical model.

The need for cultural diversity education is increasing due to the increase in awareness and importance of cultural diversity education in the current education field in the era of globalization. The purpose of this study is to apply knowledge, understanding, attitude and ability to perform cultural diversity education to storytelling for teachers who are responsible for cultural diversity education in Shandong Y middle school in China by applying in - depth interview method I tried to understand their experiences and the actual situation of the school scene and tried to suggest the direction of correct cultural diversity education. As a result, we conducted a systematic study on cultural diversity in terms of academic competency, and an abstract attitude that accommodates cultural diversity in reflective instruction, and a cultural diversity in practical teaching ability. Therefore, the cultural diversity education of middle school teachers are well understood or the attitudes toward the cultural diversity education and such perception are free from diverse work areas, teaching experience, and cultural diversity education. In addition, the degree of implementation of culture diversity education was relatively lower than the level of awareness. And although many teachers provide culture diversity education on the site, they usually provide cultural diversity education in schools with learning activities presented by the curriculum guidelines. In this paper, we describe the limitations and discuss the improvement method.

Establishing career goals and making a career choice is the most crucial task for college students. This study aims to identify the motive of college students' career choices and analyze the relationship between career capabilities and career decision-making in order to provide basic materials that can assist college students in the career decision-making process. To do this, a survey was conducted among college students attending a D university in Busan. A total of 326 survey responses were selected for analysis, and path analysis was conducted using SPSS 25 and AMOS 25. The results of the study are as follows. First, intrinsic motivation for career choice and extrinsic motivation for career choice were found to affect career consideration and career management capabilities, respectively, with statistical significance. Second, career consideration and career path management capabilities influenced both concreteness and confidence, which are elements of career decision-making with statistical significance. Intrinsic motivation for career choice and extrinsic motivation for career choice affected concreteness and confidence in career decision-making with career consideration and career management capabilities as parameters. These findings imply that in order to increase the concreteness and confidence in the career decision-making of undergraduate students, it is necessary to strengthen their career consideration and career management capabilities. As the unemployment rate of youths rises and the types and specialization of jobs increase amid uncertainty in the future employment conditions, undergraduate students face increasing difficulties in career decision-making. The results of this research are expected to be used as basic materials for the career decision-making of undergraduate students, which will assists in career path consultation and guidance in universities.

This study examined the effects of STEAM program on preservice science teachers' communication competency and further explored their experiences of and reflection on STEAM program. The study design is one group pretest-posttest with mixed methodology using both quantitative and qualitative data. The STEAM program consists of three stages: introduction of STEAM, participation in STEAM activities, and reflection on the STEAM program. The preservice science teachers improved their communication competency after the STEAM program (p < .01). The preservice science teachers represented statistically higher scores on the three subscales of communication competency: Interpretation ability, self-presenting ability, and understanding others' viewpoints. In addition, the preservice science teachers reflected on their STEAM experiences. During the first stage of 'Presentation of the Problem Situation,' the preservice science teachers mentioned that they roused their curiosity due to everyday experience-related, social issues or present issues. In the stage of 'Creative Design,' the preservice science teachers mentioned that they selected the final idea through mutual consent of the members, the practical possibility of everyday life, the previous experience-based decisions, or persuasive power. Further, about 87.5% of preservice science teachers mentioned that they were fully engaged in the 'Emotional Learning' stages due to the application of integrated thinking, everyday related issues, and communication among group members. About 85% of the preservice science teachers mentioned that they could challenge new problems in future situations.

This study was approached as a method of reflective observation to build practical knowledge about home economics by reevaluating the experience of participating in the national development of the 2022 revised home economics curriculum through self-questioning, review, and reflection. The results are as follows: First, "all learners will still live in an unpredictable future society and choose the best actions to better themselves, their surroundings, and the world." Second, the value of home and education in the overall curriculum structure is "home economics education are life lessons that help future generations develop the competence necessary to lead a better life." Third, "in order to ensure the sustainability of all humanity and the world in the future society, the area of intentional learning that helps young people choose and lead better lives should be the core, and home economics education should focus on 'Good life Literacy'.

The purpose of this study is to derive implications of preservice mathematics teacher education in Korea by analyzing the case of edTPA used in the preservice teacher training process in the United States. Recently, there has been a growing interest in promoting professional competencies considering not only the cognitive dimension related to knowledge development of preservice mathematics teachers but also the situational dimension considering reality in the classroom. The edTPA in the United States is a performance-based assessment based on lessons conducted by preservice teachers at school. This study analyzes the professional competencies required of preservice mathematics teachers by analyzing handbooks that described the case of edTPA in which preservice mathematics teachers in the United States participate. The edTPA includes planning, instruction, and assessment tasks, and continuous tasks are performed in connection with classes. Thus, the analysis is conducted on the points of linkage between the description of evaluation items and criteria in the planning, instruction, and assessment tasks, as well as the professional competencies required from that linkage. As a result of analyzing the edTPA handbooks, the professional competencies required of preservice mathematics teachers in the edTPA assessment were the competency to focus on and implement specific mathematics lessons, the competency to reflectively understand the implementation and assessment of specific mathematics lessons, and the competency to make a progressive determination of students' achievement related to their learning and their uses of language and representations. The results of this analysis can be used as constructs for competencies that can be assessed in the preservice in the organization of the preservice mathematics teacher curriculum and practice training semester system in Korea.

Many scholars, clinicians and faculties of music therapy have dealt various issues on educational and clinical curricula for training music therapists. Depending on the philosophical orientations of educational institutes, the emphasis are different. The purpose of this paper is to examine and identify the areas for competency for gaining qualification in music therapy by reviewing the definitions of music therapy from the academic and professional perspectives; discipline-based, practice-based, and intrapersonal competency. The unique characteristics of music therapy as a professional discipline should be reflected in its curriculum and training content. Educational strategies need to be formulated to strengthen intrapersonal competency. The paper also discussed the consequential gains accordant with intrapersonal competency such as personal self-help skills using musical resources and coping with burnouts.

The Study on the Film, as the one of the main fields in the cultural studies, has the significant meaning in analyzing our society in that culture represents the realities of the present society. Film is the metaphorically expressed text and the specific space where a variety of discourses cross. The director's social consciousness projected in the film must have the ultimate significance through the dialectic relation between the intention of the director and the interpretation of the audience, not through the his one-sided message to the audience. This paper focuses on the analysis of the movie 'The Host', which is evaluated to show the meaningful social phenomena related to 'disaster' among the recent movies in Korea. The Host which is characteristic of 'the open structure' can be referred to as the film reflecting the imperial order prevalent in the colonial society.

This study was conducted to develop core competence model for bancassurance personnel. Prior studies have conducted both FGI and specialist workshops to explore and define the necessary competencies for bancassurance personnel. As a result, 17 such competencies have been identified. A survey involving 105 bancassurance personnel from affiliated banks was conducted to compare perceived importance with retention levels of the aforementioned required competencies. SPSS 20.0, T-test, Borich analysis, and The Locus for Focus model were utilized to confirm education priority and for statistical analysis. The bancassurance personnel competencies that were rated as high in importance and retention were as follows: relationship building, interpersonal understanding, proactive execution of duties, and introspective self-confidence. In chronological order, the educational priorities for the required competencies were found to be as follows: professionalism, proposal capability, achievement orientation, and relationship building.

In this study, we identified the effects of Self-Reflective Note(SRN) strategy, which used on 'college mathematics' courses, operated as a liberal arts curriculum course in university. For this purpose, we used SRN strategy on 'college mathematics' 3 classes, 'college mathematicsII' 1 class enrolled 95 students, and then analyzed the data. For identifying a change of students' learning, we conducted surveys related to the affective domain, core competencies, satisfaction. From this, we identified the followings. First, the interest, self-confidence, future expectation of students who attended classes in which SRN strategy is used are positively changed. Second, core competencies(self-directed ability, communication ability) of students who attended classes in which SRN strategy is used are improved. Third, the students who attended classes in which SRN strategy is used evaluated such as mathematics learning using the strategy help their mathematics study. Fourth, the students who attended classes in which SRN strategy is used evaluated such as the strategy improved their learning habit, supplemented their weakness, and activate realistic communication between professor and them.
