In recent years, fast growing cities in Korea are showing signs of being vulnerable to more disasters as their population and facilities increase and intensify. In particular, fire is one of the most common disasters in Korea's cities, along with traffic accidents. Therefore, in this study, we analyze what type of factors affect the fire that threatens urban people. Fire data were acquired for 10 years, from 2007 to 2017, in Jinju, Korea. Spatial distribution pattern of fire occurrence in Jinju was assessed through the spatial autocorrelation analysis. First, spatial autocorrelation analysis was carried out to grasp the spatial distribution pattern of fire occurrence in Jinju city. In addition, correlation and multiple regression analysis were used to confirm spatial dependency and abnormality among factors. Based on this, OLS (Ordinary Least Square) regression analysis was performed using space weighting considering fire location and spatial location of each facility. As a result, First, LISA (Local Indicator of Spatial Association) analysis of the occurrence of fire in Jinju shows that the most central commercial area are fire department, industrial area, and residential area. Second, the OLS regression model was analyzed by applying spatial weighting, focusing on the most derived factors of multiple regression analysis, by integrating population and social variables and physical variables. As a result, the second kind of neighborhood living facility showed the highest correlation with the fire occurrence, followed by the following in the order of single house, sales facility, first type of neighborhood living facility, and number of households. The results of this study are expected to be useful for analyzing the fire occurrence factors of each facility in urban areas and establishing fire safety measures.

Research trends can be usefully used to determine the importance of research topics by period, identify insufficient research fields, and discover new fields. In this study, research trends of urban spaces, where various problems are occurring due to population concentration and urbanization, were analyzed by topic modeling. The analysis target was the abstracts of papers listed in the Korea Citation Index (KCI) published between 2002 and 2019. Topic modeling is an algorithm-based text mining technique that can discover a certain pattern in the entire content, and it is easy to cluster. In this study, the frequency of keywords, trends by year, topic derivation, cluster by topic, and trend by topic type were analyzed. Research in urban regeneration is increasing continuously, and it was analyzed as a field where detailed topics could be expanded in the future. Furthermore, urban regeneration is now becoming a regular research field. On the other hand, topics related to development/growth and energy/environment have entered a stagnation period. This study is meaningful because the correlation and trends between keywords were analyzed using topic modeling targeting all domestic urban studies.

In the era of Corona, companion animals provide a lot of comfort to people, and the Pet Pam group, who thinks of companion animals as family members, has appeared. There is also the Pet Pour phenomenon, in which young consumers spend less on their pets and spend on their companion animals. Despite these changes in the times, pet products, including pet food, are still highly dependent on imports. In addition, since domestic standards for cosmetics and supplies for companion animals have not been established, they rely only on cosmetic safety standards and regulations. In addition, the terminology for domestic pet cosmetics has not been established yet. Currently, only the Animal Protection Act related to companion animals has been amended in the domestic law, but in the case of Japan, the Companion Animal Feed Safety Act came into effect in June 2009. In the United States, the federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Control Act covers pet cosmetics and supplies. Germany, which has strong animal protection laws, has various national regulations on food and feed, and detailed national regulations are also provided on the website of the Food Safety Administration. National policies and environments should be established to manage and develop the companion animal industry in Korea as in such a country, and it is considered essential for the development of companion animal cosmetics and various companion animal industries.
Vitamin A (Vit A) is a lipid-soluble vitamin required for diverse normal body functions, including good vision, reproduction, growth, development, and cellular differentiation. The therapeutic effects of Vit A have been demonstrated for the treatments of inflammation, low immunity, and cancer. The present review discusses the scientific evidence for establishing the 2020 Dietary Reference Intakes for Koreans (KDRI) for Vit A, issues caused by unit change of Vit A, and suggestions for the 2025 KDRI revision. Due to the changes in the standard bodyweight observed in several age groups, the 2020 KDRI had minor revisions as compared to the 2015 KDRI. In the 2015 KDRI, the Vit A unit has changed from retinol equivalent (RE) to retinol activity equivalent (RAE) and the activity of carotenoids became half with RAE compared to RE due to this unit change. Since the Vit A intake of Koreans relies heavily on plant-based carotenoids, the dietary intake of Vit A in Koreans as determined by considering the RAE was much lower than values obtained with RE. The analysis for Vit A intake by the Korean National Health and Nutrition Survey only reflects intakes of retinol and beta-carotene. Thus, it would be necessary to include the consumption of other provitamin A, such as alpha-carotene and beta-cryptoxanthin. Moreover, assessing the amounts of Vit A in foods should be customized to Korean diets since there are seasonal variations in the carotenoid concentration of plants. Moreover, other factors such as age- and sex-specific intake data and considerations of baseline micronutrient status, body mass index, and dietary patterns should be considered for developing more precise KDRI. In particular, the Vit A requirement needs to be met by consuming diverse foods, including animal foods.

The purpose of this study was to identify groups depending on the four years of changing trajectories in self-efficacy and its relationship with life satisfaction and interpersonal competence of adults with disabilities who were aged above 25. The 1st to 4th year of the second wave from Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled (PSED) was used to identify the groups and explore their relationship with life satisfaction and interpersonal competence through growth mixture modeling. The results identified three latent classes according to changing trajectories in self-efficacy: a 'high level-increasing group', an 'average level-increasing group', and a 'low level-stable group'. These three groups showed different characteristics in life satisfaction and interpersonal competence. For example, life satisfaction for groups decreased from the 'high level-increasing group' to the 'low level-stable group' and interpersonal competence increased in both 'high level-increasing group' and 'average level-increasing group', whereas it was stabilized in the 'low level-stable group'. These findings suggest that the life satisfaction and interpersonal competence of adults with disabilities are associated with their self-efficacy.

An intrusion detection system is a technology that detects abnormal behaviors that violate security, and detects abnormal operations and prevents system attacks. Existing intrusion detection systems have been designed using statistical analysis or anomaly detection techniques for traffic patterns, but modern systems generate a variety of traffic different from existing systems due to rapidly growing technologies, so the existing methods have limitations. In order to overcome this limitation, study on intrusion detection methods applying various machine learning techniques is being actively conducted. In this study, a comparative study was conducted on data preprocessing techniques that can improve the accuracy of anomaly detection using NGIDS-DS (Next Generation IDS Database) generated by simulation equipment for traffic in various network environments. Padding and sliding window were used as data preprocessing, and an oversampling technique with Adversarial Auto-Encoder (AAE) was applied to solve the problem of imbalance between the normal data rate and the abnormal data rate. In addition, the performance improvement of detection accuracy was confirmed by using Skip-gram among the Word2Vec techniques that can extract feature vectors of preprocessed sequence data. PCA-SVM and GRU were used as models for comparative experiments, and the experimental results showed better performance when sliding window, skip-gram, AAE, and GRU were applied.
Lung adenocarcinoma accounts for about 40% of all lung cancers. With the recent development of gene profiling technology, studies on mutations in oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes, which are important for the development and growth of tumors, have been actively conducted. Companion diagnosis using next-generation sequencing helps improve survival with targeted therapy. In this study, formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues of non-small cell lung cancer patients were subjected to hematoxylin and eosin staining for detecting genetic mutations that induce lung adenocarcinoma in Koreans. Immunohistochemical staining was also performed to accurately classify lung adenocarcinoma tissues. Based on the results, next-generation sequencing was applied to analyze the types and patterns of genetic mutations, and the association with smoking was established as the most representative cause of lung cancer. Results of next-generation sequencing analysis confirmed the single nucleotide variations, copy number variations, and gene rearrangements. In order to validate the reliability of next-generation sequencing, we additionally performed the existing genetic testing methods (polymerase chain reaction-epidermal growth factor receptor, immunohistochemistry-anaplastic lymphoma kinase (D5F3), and fluorescence in situ hybridiation-receptor tyrosine kinase 1 tests) to confirm the concordance rates with the next-generation sequencing test results. This study demonstrates that next-generation sequencing of lung adenocarcinoma patients simultaneously identifies mutation.
While Korean piano pedagogy has seen a remarkable growth, the relatively weak attention to intermediate level has emerged as a pending problem. The limited literature review, specifically the lack of playing Korean original works, has been considered as a serious issue. To emphasize the usefulness of Kim Kukjin's "Pieces of Korean Melody for Piano" as an intermediate work, this study presents practical teaching guidelines by classifying of difficulty in his 25 pieces and providing step by step learning goals and teaching plan. The difficulty stage was based on Jane Magret's 10-step classification table for comparison with other intermediate piano literature, and this study more specifically classified Kim's pieces according to Korean melody, rhythm, and texture. As a result of the difficulty classification, it was found that the pieces from stages 4 to 10 was organized to systematically and comprehensively learn step by step from the most basic progression to Korean 'Jangdan' rhythm patterns, various articulations and decorations that express 'Sigimsae' of Korean Traditional Music, and heterophony texture. In addition, this study proposed the order of pieces for the effective teaching according to the characteristics and difficulty of the pieces. This study suggests that the findings lead to the expansion of Korean intermediate literature study and the revitalization of Korean original works teaching method.
The traditional retail industry significantly changed over the past decade due to the mobile and online technologies. This change has been accompanied by a shift in consumer behavior regarding purchasing patterns. Despite the rise of online shopping, there are still specific categories of products, such as "Processed food" in Mongolia, for which traditional shopping remains the preferred purchase method. To prepare for the inevitable future of retail businesses, firms need to closely analyze the performance of their offline stores to plan their further actions in a new multi-channel environment. Retailers must integrate diverse channels into their operations to stay relevant and adjust to the shifting market. In this research, we have analyzed the performance data such as sales, profit, and amount of sales of offline stores by using clustering approach. From the clustering, we have found the several distinct insights by comparing the circumstances and performance of retail stores. For the certain retail stores, we have proposed three different strategies: a fulfillment hub store between online and offline channels, an experience store to elongate customers' time on the premises, and a merge between two non-related channels that could complement each other to increase traffic based on the store characteristics. With the proposed strategies, it may enhance the user experience and profit at the same time.
It is possible to provide Smart Tourism Service through the development of information technology. It is necessary for the tourism industry to understand and utilize Big Data that has tourists' consumption patterns and service usage patterns in order to continuously create a new business model by converging with other industries. This study suggests to activate Jeju Smart Tourism by analyzing Big Data based on credit card usage records and location of tourists in Jeju. The results of the study show that First, the percentage of Chinese tourists visiting Jeju has decreased because of the effect of THAAD. Second, Consumption pattern of Chinese tourists is mostly occurring in the northern areas where airports and duty-free shops are located, while one in other regions is very low. The regional economy of Jeju City and Seogwipo City shows a overall stagnation, without changes in policy, existing consumption trends and growth rates will continue in line with regional characteristics. Third, we need a policy that young people flow into by building Jeju Multi-complex Mall where they can eat, drink, and go shopping at once because the number of young tourists and the price they spend are increasing. Furthermore, it is necessary to provide services for life-support related to weather, shopping, traffic, and facilities etc. through analyzing Wi-Fi usage location. Based on the results, we suggests the marketing strategies and public policies for understanding Jeju tourists' patterns and stimulating Jeju tourism industry.
