Solar Energy Prediction Based on Artificial neural network Using Weather Data (태양광 에너지 예측을 위한 기상 데이터 기반의 인공 신경망 모델 구현)

  • Solar power generation system is a energy generation technology that produces electricity from solar power, and it is growing fastest among renewable energy technologies. It is of utmost importance that the solar power system supply energy to the load stably. However, due to unstable energy production due to weather and weather conditions, accurate prediction of energy production is needed. In this paper, an Artificial Neural Network(ANN) that predicts solar energy using 15 kinds of meteorological data such as precipitation, long and short wave radiation averages and temperature is implemented and its performance is evaluated. The ANN is constructed by adjusting hidden parameters and parameters such as penalty for preventing overfitting. In order to verify the accuracy and validity of the prediction model, we use Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) and Mean Absolute Error (MAE) as performance indices. The experimental results show that MAPE = 19.54 and MAE = 2155345.10776 when Hidden Layer $Sizes=^{\prime}16{\times}10^{\prime}$.

  • We have analyzed characteristics for the structure of $Al_{0.25}/Ga_{0.75}/As/In_{0.15}/Ga_{0.85}$/AS/GaAS pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistor (PHEMT) by photoluminescence (PL) and photoreflectance (PR) measurements. By the PL measurement at 10 K, we observed el-hl transition peak at 1.322 eV and e2-hl transition peak at 1.397 eV in the InGaAs quantum well. We calculated value of 23 meV, the difference between the first energy level and the second energy level of a valence band by dependence of temperatures. Also, (e2-h2) transition signal was observed at 300 K by PR measurement. From the PR measurement, we recognized that the transition was dominated the second energy level of conduction band than the first energy level of conduction band due to band filling. The other hand, PL signal of the first energy level of conduction band was dominated because of the electron screening effect.

  • The life history of Obelia bicuspidata Clarke, 1975 (Hydrozoa, Campanulariidae) was studied in its habitats, Jak-yk Island, Korea and in the laboratory It grows mainly attaching to the under sides of small rocks immersed in muddy shores, or the shade surfaces of oyster shells. The hydoids liberate medusae. The medusa buds develope twice per year, during from March to June and from September to October The optimum water temperature for the hydroids is between 4$^{\circ}C$ and 8$^{\circ}C$ and at the temperature above 9$^{\circ}C$ the hydroids begin to degenerate. In August the surface water temperature is around $25^{\circ}C$ and the hydrothecae are all disappeared. The hydroids grow best during from February to May. The medusae are small, 0.3 mm high, 0.45 mm wide and require about 9 days at room temperature (about 2$0^{\circ}C$) for mature after releasing. Obelia bicuspidata turned out to be boreal species in this work.

  • The electrochemical behavior of cadmium electrode for the nickel-cadmium battery system has been studied by cyclic voltammetry, controlled potential electrolysis and X-ray diffraction method. Cathodic polarization curve for cadmium hydroxide electrode prepared by electrochemical pretreatment of metallic cadmium showed two peaks. It has been found that cadmium hydroxide was reduced to cadmium metal at the first peak potential, whereas very activated metal of cadmium which was strongly oriented (002) rather than (101) was formed at the second peak potential. It was also found that the cadmium formed at the second peak potential reacted rapidly with oxygen. Therefore, it could be presumed that the cadmium recombination reaction with the oxygen was chemical, and could be represented as $2Cd + O_2 + 2H_2O\;{\longrightarrow}\;2Cd(OH)_2$.

  • Since joining the OECD Development Assistance committee in 2010, the Republic of Korea has been continuously striving to promote its international standing. A new era of cooperation is about to open between Korea and Central Asia, with the $25^{th}$ anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between Korea and Central Asia, and the welcoming the $80^{th}$ anniversary of the Koryoin (Korean) immigration in 2017. Central Asia is also attracting attention with a rapidly growing economy based on the endowed resources. Therefore, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, among others, were investigated in the following statuses: politics, diplomacy, economy, official development assistance and national strategies. In particular, this study suggests the South Korea's Country Partnership Strategy for Forest with the nations by analyzing the forest environment and forest policy regime, and both forest cooperation strategies: 'Ecotourism Projects using a Walnut Forest' in Kyrgyzstan and 'Projects Restoring Forest and Securing Fuel Woods of Degraded Land in Tugai' in Tajikistan.

  • With the rapid growth of the Internet, millions of indiscriminate advertising SMS are sent every day because of the convenience of sending and receiving data. Although we still use methods to block spam words manually, we have been actively researching how to filter spam in a various ways as machine learning emerged. However, spam words and patterns are constantly changing to avoid being filtered, so existing machine learning mechanisms cannot detect or adapt to new words and patterns. Recently, the concept of Lifelong Learning emerged to overcome these limitations, using existing knowledge to keep learning new knowledge continuously. In this paper, we propose a method of spam filtering system using ensemble techniques of naive bayesian which is most commonly used in document classification and LLML(Lifelong Machine Learning). We validate the performance of lifelong learning by applying the model ELLA and the Naive Bayes most commonly used in existing spam filters.

Effective Object Recognition based on Physical Theory in Medical Image Processing (의료 영상처리에서의 물리적 이론을 활용한 객체 유효 인식 방법)

  • In medical image processing field, object recognition is usually processed based on region segmentation algorithm. Region segmentation in the computing field is carried out by computerized processing of various input information such as brightness, shape, and pattern analysis. If the information mentioned does not make sense, however, many limitations could occur with region segmentation during computer processing. Therefore, this paper suggests effective region segmentation method based on R2-map information within the magnetic resonance (MR) theory. In this study, the experiment had been conducted using images including the liver region and by setting up feature points of R2-map as seed points for 2D region growing and final boundary correction to enable region segmentation even when the border line was not clear. As a result, an average area difference of 7.5%, which was higher than the accuracy of conventional exist region segmentation algorithm, was obtained.

Thermal Effects on Stoichiometric LiTaO3 Single Crystal (정비조성 LiTaO3 단결정에 대한 열처리 효과)

  • Ferroelectric $LiTaO_3$ single crystals, grown by the Czochralski method, were thermally treated at temperature $1000^{\circ}C\;and\;1100^{\circ}C$. Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) study of stoichiometric $LiTaO_3$ and thermally treated $LiTaO_3$ crystals has been investigated by employing an X-band spectrometer. From the $Fe^{3+}$ EPR spectra, it turned out that there is no change of site location and local site symmetry around $Fe^{3+}$ impurity ion between stoichiometric and thermally treated $LiTaO_3$ single crystals. We confirmed that the ionic state of $Fe^{3+}$ ion changed after thermal treatment. The EPR parameters of $Fe^{3+}$ ion in $LiTaO_3$ single crystals are determined with effective spin Hamiltonian.

  • We report the crystal growth and the electro-optic characteristics of $CdS_{1-x}Se_{x}$ thin films. $CdS_{1-x}Se_{x}$ thin films wire deposited on the alumina plate by electron beam evaporation technique in pressure of $1.5{\times}10^{-7}$ torr, voltage of 4kV, current of 2.5mA and substrate temperature of $300^{\circ}C$. The deposited $CdS_{1-x}Se_{x}$ thin films were proved to be a polycrystal with hexagonal structure through X-ray diffraction patterns. $CdS_{1-x}Se_{x}$ photoconductive films showed high photoconductivity after annealing at $550^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes. And the films have been investigated the Hall effect, photocurrent spectra, sensitivity, maximum allowable power dissipation and response time.

  • When MOS devices is exposed to radiation, radiation effects of P-type MOS capacitor can cause modulation and/or degradation in devices characteristics and its operating life. The oxide layer is grown in $O_2$+T.C.E. and its thickness ranges from 40 to 80 nm. Irradiations on MOS capacitor were performed by Cobalt-60 gamma ray source and total dose ranges from $10^4$ to $10^8$ rads. The radiation effect on electrical conduction characteristics(I-V) in MOS capacitor was measured as a function of gate oxide thickness and total dose. From the experimental result, I-V characteristics is found to be influenced strongly by total dose in irradiated p-type MOS capacitors. The ohmic current is dependant on of total dose in irradiated P-type MOS capacitors. This results are explained using surface states at interface radiation-induced traps.
