Mineralogy and Genesis of Manganese Ores from the Eosangcheon Mine, Korea (어상주광산(魚上川鑛山)의 망간광석(鑛石)에 대(對)한 광물학적(鑛物學的) 및 성인적연구(成因的硏究))

  • The Eosangcheon manganese ore deposits occur as supergene weathering deposits along quartz porphyry dikes developed in the Ordovician Heungweolri dolomite and Samtaesan limestone formations. The manganese ores are composed of manganese oxide minerals and associated other minerals. Rancieite and todorokite are abundantly found, and birnessite, nsutite, pyrolusite and chalcophanite are found in minor quantities. Associated other minerals are calcite, gypsum, goethite, lepidocrosite, quartz, and sericite. Microscopic, chemical, X-ray powder diffraction, infrared absorption spectroscopic and differential thermal analyses have been made for manganese oxide minerals and associated other minerals. The relationship of birnessite and rancieite was studied by means of X-ray powder diffraction and infrared absorption spectroscopic analyses. It is assumed that these minerals are closely related to each other in crystal structure, but separate species. The manganese oxide minerals were formed mainly by replacement, precipitation from solution, and recrystallization in the supergene weathering environment. The trend of formation of manganese oxide minerals is: (Rhodochrosite)-(todorokite)-(birnessite, rancieite)-(nsutite, pyrolusite, chalcophanite).

A Qualitative Study on Bibliotherapy Program for the Sons and Daughters of the Dysfunctional Family (역기능 가정 자녀를 위한 독서치료 프로그램에 대한 질적 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the experience of dysfunctional family's sons and daughters in bibliotherapy program. To do this, this study collected its data through writings, speaking and term papers of 6 undergraduate students experiencing bibliotherapy program. The collected data were analyzed by phenomenological methods. As a result, the participants experienced 1) recognition of trauma and problems, 2) sympathy and identification, 3) self insight and self understanding, 4) expressing their will to recover trauma and finding solutions, 5) affirmative change, maturity and healing. And also they went through thinking and feeling dynamically in the bibliotherapy program. These results show that the bibliotherapy program helps dysfunctional family's sons and daughters solve their problems and trauma.

  • Stories have been studied as an important educational method in Christian education. In recent discussions on religious education, stories are positively evaluated in terms of stimulating children's unique fantasy, as opposed to visual media, and in terms of face-to-face direct communication. Our most profound and passionate orientation to the world is shaped by stories. This is because stories move us by moving us and shape our unconscious to act accordingly. However, the subjects that supply stories to children now are various mass media and consumer culture. The story it tells instills a secular worldview and makes us dream of a world completely different from the kingdom of God. Our children need a story to imagine the kingdom of God. This paper focuses on story-style sermons in children's worship and tries to deal with the Christian educational implications of story-style sermons. To this end, first of all, I would like to treat the Bible as a story according to the approximate concept of the story and the position of literary criticism who approached the Bible as a story. The second will deal with narrative preaching. First, we will look at narrative sermons for adults, and then deal with narrative sermons for children. The two narrative sermons were treated separately in the sense of considering the characteristics of children rather than being separated. Lastly, I would like to draw out the Christian educational implications of narrative preaching.

Validation and Reliability of the Sleep Problem Screening Questionnaire: Focusing on Insomnia Symptoms (수면 문제 선별 질문지의 신뢰도, 타당도 연구: 불면증상을 중심으로)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to develop a screening tool that is simple and easy to use for assessing sleep problems, including hypersomnolence, restless legs syndrome, and insomnia. We also examined the reliability and validity of this tool. Methods: We developed the Sleep Problem Screening Questionnaire (SPSQ), which consists of three sub-sections: insomnia (SPSQi), hypersomnolence (SPSQh), and restless legs syndrome (SPSQr). Subsequently, the participants, consisting of 222 patients with insomnia disorder and 78 healthy individuals, completed both the SPSQ and the comparative scale (Korean version of the Insomnia Severity Index). The analysis was then conducted using this data. Results: The SPSQ demonstrated good convergent and discriminant validity, as well as satisfactory internal consistency. A cutoff score of 6 on the SPSQi was found to be optimal for distinguishing individuals with insomnia. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that the SPSQ is a reliable and valid tool for screening sleep problems among general adult population. However, there is a limitation as a comparison and validation with scales related to restless legs syndrome and hypersomnolence were not conducted.

The effect of the 1:1 coaching and the example ideas with the GROW model on the creativity of new product development ideas (GROW모델을 활용한 1:1 코칭과 예시 아이디어가 신제품 개발 아이디어 창의성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is an experimental study to examine the effect of the 1:1 coaching and example ideas with the GROW model on the creativity of new product ideas. Participants were composed of 32 adults who did not know coaching and were not related to new product development-related industries, and the experiment was randomly assigned to 1:1 coaching group, example idea group, and control group. The ideas answered by the participants were evaluated by measuring novelty, appropriateness, and willingness to pay after the experiment, and 30 experimental data and 3 expert group evaluation data were used for the final analysis. As a result of the study, the 1:1 coaching using the GROW model had a significant effect on the creativity of new product ideas, and in particular, had a positive effect on novelty. The example idea group received the lowest score among the three groups, including the control group, in novelty and suitability, and was found to have a negative effect on idea creativity. Based on these results, implications and limitations for the use of coaching in the work or situation of presenting creative ideas were discussed, and suggestions for follow-up studies were made.

  • 미국 미쉬간주 앤 ·아버시에 거주하고 있는 한국 이주민 중 성인 50인을 대상으로 실시된 본 조사의 목포는 (1) 그들의 영양 섭취상태파악과 (2) 외국에서의 식생활 영위에 있어서 경험하는 식습관의 변화나 문제점 등을 연구함에 있다. 열량, 단백질, 지질, calcium, 철분, vitamin A, $B_{1}$, $B_{2}$, C, Niacin섭취량이 24-hourdietary recall방법에 의하여 추산되었다. 연구 목적 (2)를 위하여는 식품 섭취 빈도조사와 별도의 질문지를 작성하여 사용하였다. 여자의 calcium섭취량을 제외하고는 피 조사자의 모든 영양소 섭취량은 조리시 손실량과 Sampling error를 위한 안전율을 가산하고도 충분한 것으로 나타났다. 피 조사자들이 성공적인 식생활을 영위함에 있어서 당면하는 대표적인 두 가지 문제점들은 (1) 낯설은 식품에 대하며 저항감을 느끼는 개인에게는 결과적으로 선택할 식품의 폭이 좁아진다는 첨과 (2) 가족 구성원중 어른과 아이들이 미국 음식에 적응하는 속도와 정도가 다르므로 주부가 음식 장만에 어려움을 겪고 있다는 점 등으로 나타났다.

An Analysis of the Vowel Formants of the Young Females in the Buckeye Corpus (벅아이 코퍼스에서의 젊은 성인 여성의 모음 포먼트 분석)

  • The purpose of this paper is to measure the first two vowel formants of the ten young female speakers from the Buckeye Corpus of Conversational Speech [1] automatically and then to analyze various potential factors that may affect the formant distribution of the eight peripheral vowels of English. The factors that were analyzed included the place of articulation, the content versus function word information, the syllabic stress information, the location in a word, the location in an utterance, the speech rate of the three consecutive words, and the word frequency in the corpus. The results indicate that the overall formant patterns of the female speakers were similar to those of earlier works. The effects of the factors on the realization of the two formants were also similar to those from the male speakers with minor differences.

  • 최근 우리나라 소 사육농가에서 육성 및 자우에서 빈번하게 일어나는 세균성 및 바이러스성 설사병은 익히 알려져 있어 주의 깊게 관찰되어 치료와 예방을 잘하고 있으나, 정작 원충성인 콕시듐 설사병에 대해서는 간과하기 십상이다. 따라서 우리 대동물 임상수의사들도 특히 우상바닥 재료로 왕겨를 사용하는 농가들에 대해 관심깊게 봐두어 짚고 넘어가야 하지 않으면 아니되는 질병인 콕시듐증에 대해 정리하여 소개하고자 한다. 소 콕시듐병은 주로 포유기나 이유직후의 어린 소에서 발생하며, 포자층(Sporozoa)류에 속하는 Coccidia 원충(Potozoa)인 아이메리아(Eimeria) 및 Isospora속의 원충에 기인한 접촉성장염으로 장점막의 상피세포 파괴로 인한 급성출혈성 설사, 빈혈을 주 증상으로 하는 질병이며, 만성으로 될 경우는 성장지연과 생산성의 저하를 나타낸다.

Long Term Follow-up of Children with Facial Asymmetry: A Case Report (안면 비대칭을 보이는 아이의 장기 추적 관찰 : 증례보고)

  • Mandibular fractures occur with high incidence among various fractures in maxillofacial region in children. Jaw fractures in children should be approached differently than in adults because bone growth continues throughout childhood. As far as displacement of the fragment is not severe, or if it is condyle that is fractured, closed reduction and additional intermaxillary fixation can be considered. Functional exercise is also required to prevent ankylosis of temporomandibular joint. Several complications, particularly malocclusion and facial asymmetry due to growth disturbances, can occur after condylar fractures. If growth disturbances take place after mandibular fractures, catch-up growth may occur in some patients, thus, periodic observation is necessary. In case of persistent growth disturbances, functional devices may be used to prevent severe facial asymmetry. This case report describes the long-term follow-up of two patients with facial asymmetry after mandibular fracture.

  • 정보생산을 촉진하는 새로운 형태의 사이버공간이 나타나면서 지식의 창출과 지식을 얻는 형태가 변화하고 있다. 최종사용자에게 웹 애플리케이션을 제공하는 컴퓨팅 플랫폼인 web 2.0의 도입으로 손쉽게 자신이 필요한 정보를 분류할 수 있는 웹 컨텐츠가 활발히 제공되고 있으며 제공된 컨텐츠를 활용하여 수많은 정보 속에서 자신만의 보석을 찾아 손쉽게 지식을 쌓아 관리를 하고 있다. 이러한 지식공유서비스는 무분별한 정보, 중복된 지식, 그리고 단순한 관리로 인해 자신이 원하는 지식을 얻기란 쉽지 않은 것이 사실이다. 본 논문에서는 온라인상의 정보를 탐색하기 위해서 인터넷을 이용하던 네티즌들이 정보생산자로서 참여하는 공간으로 등장한 '지식공유서비스'를 기반으로 지식 창출 및 관리자로서 시니어를 활용하여 지식의 수용자로서 유아들을 위한 NIE (News In Education) 활용 교육 체계를 제안한다. 뉴스는 유아부터 성인까지 활용될 수 있는 좋은 교육 자료로서 NIE를 통하여 사고력, 논리력, 표현력, 창의력 등 여러 영역에 걸친 능력을 향상시킬 수 있다. 특히 유치원이나 학교의 교과과정에 맞추어 이러한 능력들을 더욱 배가 시킬 수 있다는 점에서 NIE가 더욱 각광받고 있다. 본 연구는 미디어 융합의 결과로 인터넷 뉴스를 활용해 생활과 분리되지 않은 통합교육을 할 수 있는 SCORM 기반의 유아용 콘텐츠를 생성하여 유아 교육에 활용하고자 한다. 또한, 유아용 NIE 교육 콘텐츠는 시니어들을 NIE 강사로 양성하였을 때 학습 자료로도 활용된다. 시니어들을 NIE 강사로 양성함으로써 시니어의 일자리 창출 및 지역사회 통합과 1세대인 여성시니어와 3세대인 아동 간의 세대통합을 이끌어 낼 수 있도록 하는 것에 목적을 두고 시니어 NIE 콘텐츠를 생성하고자 한다. NIE에 생성되는 지식을 생성하고 관리하기 위한 지식 솔루션으로 위키의 기능을 추가하여 개발하고자 한다. 위키를 사용하므로 개별적으로 존재하던 지식을 공동의 지식으로 공유할 수 있으며 의견을 하나로 통합하는 과정에서도 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것이다. 위키를 이용한 시니어 NIE 콘텐츠에서는 교수 학습 계획안 및 NIE 아이디어를 공동 작업을 통하여 효율적으로 지식을 생성할 수 있으며 여러 사람들이 여러 단계를 거치면서 하나의 정제된 지식을 생성하게 되므로 양질의 교수 학습 계획안이나 NIE 아이디어를 창출할 수 있을 것이다.
