고속로용 U-10Zr 금속핵연료 노내 조사시험 : I. 핵연료시편 저조 및 노외 특성시험

  • KALIMER 고속로의 기본 핵연료인 U-l0Zr 핵연료봉의 노내 성능시험을 위해, 러시아의 BR-10 연구용 고속원자로에서 핵연료노내조사 Program이 1997년부터 수행되고 있다. 1 차년도에는 핵연료 시편의 설계 및 제조와 금속합금 핵연료의 균질도, 밀도, 열전도도 등의 노외 특성 시험이 수행되었다. U-l0Zr 핵연료심은 Arc 용해로 제조되었는데, 합금의 구성 원소들은 비교적 균일하게 분포되었다. 핵연료 시편은 2 개가 제작되었는데, BR-10 원자로에서 각각 연소도 1.08 % 및 2.15 %까지 연소된 후, 조사 후 검사가 수행될 것이다. 금속핵연료는 대개 낮은 연소도에서 급격한 변화틀 보이기 때문에, 본 핵연료 노내조사시험 Program의 결과는 금속핵연료봉의 성능해석 모델 개발에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • The performance test result of the Arm Fire Device(Ignition Safety Device) for solid rocket which prevents accidental ignition was described. The results of the closed bomb test and the igniter test of the classical mechanical arm fire device and the advanced electro-mechanical arm fire device were presented, and according to the igniter test result it was realized that the electro-mechanical arm fire device has an advantage in aspect of the action time.

PREPREG 제작 방식에 의한 압력용기(STEB)의 시험 및 고찰

  • 국내에서는 시도되지 않았던 조립식 맨드렐 및 prepreg 제작 방식을 적용하여 filament winding machine으로 압력 용기(STEB)를 제작, 음향 방출 측정 장비 및 strain gage 등을 부착한 수압 시험으로 압력용기의 구조적 건전성 예측 및 파열 압력을 측정하여 성능을 분석하였다. 동일한 winding pattern 및 조건하에 prepreg winding과 wet winding 방식을 적용하여 제작한 압력 용기의 성능을 비교하였고, prepreg winding의 설계 조건, 공정 변화를 통해 제작한 압력 용기의 파열 압력 및 형태를 분석하였다. 이러한 winding 조건들에 따라 제작된 압력용기는 최종적으로 PR(Performance ratio) 값을 산출하고, 이를 통하여 prepreg 제작 방식의 장단점, 제작에 필요한 설계 조건 및 기초 자료 등을 고찰하여 보았다.

  • This study introduces the process of the field test of ETCS that has been performed by six enterprises for selecting the type of ETCS that will be applied to the internal tall roads. The main communication modes of six enterprises are active RF(radio wave)type and IR(optical wave)type. In this study, communication modes and systems, which are being used by each enterprises, have been compared and analyzed. Besides this, the configuration and the basic performances of the system have been checked. After those, the contents of the field performance test classified by the items of the test and the results of the test, finally, have been analyzed. Through analyzing the test, it is found that an enterprise using IR type and two enterprises using RF type satisfied the standards of the test and the others failed to meet the standards. However, the enterprises seem to be becoming stable by a large number of tests and the effort for improving from general point of view. Although the methods of performance evaluation in this field test considered enough patterns that are used in the present highway or Hi-Pass, there might possibly be some problems in the results because Korea Highway Corporation had decided the method and the number of times of the test according to their own standards about the various situations that can happen. Therefore, it will be needed to develop the method of standards for testing the performance which can be correspond with driver's behavior that can actually happen on the highway or the methods of transportation management.

  • In this paper, flexural test, girder-connection test and barrier-connection test for the pultruded composite bridge deck of hollow section, were carried out and its structural characteristics were evaluated. In the flexural test specimen, deflection was measured at center of the span and strains were measured at various locations to see the structural behavior up to the failure. In addition, finite element analysis was performed for the flexural test specimen and the results were compared with experiments, and load carrying capacity was evaluated. Also, field load test was conducted for the demonstration plate girder bridge and other field applications were described.

  • LiDAR plays a key role in autonomous vehicles, where it is used to detect the environment in place of the driver's eyes, and its role is expanding. In recent years, there has been a growing need to test the performance of LiDARs installed in autonomous vehicles. Many LiDAR performance tests have been conducted in simulated and indoor(lab) environments, but the number of tests in outdoor(field) and real-world road environments has been minimal. In this study, we compared LiDAR performance under the same conditions lab and field to determine the relationship between lab and field tests and to establish the characteristics and roles of each test environment. The experimental results showed that LiDAR detection performance varies depending on the lighting environment (direct sunlight, led) and the detected object. In particular, the effect of decreasing intensity due to increasing distance and rainfall is greater outdoors, suggesting that both lab and field experiments are necessary when testing LiDAR detection performance on objects. The results of this study are expected to be useful for organizations conducting research on the use of LiDAR sensors and facilities for LiDAR sensors.

A study on performance of the recycle asphalt mixtures using the foamed asphalt method (폼드 아스팔트 공법을 이용한 재활용 아스팔트 혼합물의 성능 연구)

  • The base asphalt mixtures that used the waste recycle asphalt correcting from the four different overlay construction sites in Seoul city were made using the foamed asphalt method. The sample mixtures were made in different ratio of the recycle asphalt and new asphalt material and the performance of the mixtures of the different ratio was investigated in the laboratory. The laboratory tests includes the Marshall test, the indirect tensile test, the resilient modulus test, the creep test and the wheel tracking test. The test of the recycle foamed asphalt mixtures(RFA) were compared with the those of the recycle hot mix asphalt(RHA) mixtures. The performance of the RFA is comparable to that of the RHA. On the other hand, the indirect tensile strength of the RFA in dry condition is lower than that of RHA and the indirect tensile strength of the RFA in wet condition is much lower than that of the RHA.
