Development of high performance liquid chromatography assay method of diosmin capsules (디오스민 캡슐의 HPLC 분석법의 개발)

  • British Pharmacopoeia (BP 2013), the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP 39) and the Korean Pharmacopoeia (KP XI) contain monographs for the quality control of raw diosmin using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). However, official monographs detailing pharmaceutical formulations for diosmin are not available in foreign pharmacopoeias. In the KP XI, ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy-which is less specific than HPLC-is reported for the testing of diosmin capsules. In this study, we present an alternative HPLC assay for such testing that is more specific than UV-Vis methods. Method validation was performed to determine linearity, precision, accuracy, system suitability, and robustness. The linearity of calibration curves in the desired concentration range was high ($r^2$>0.999), while the RSDs for intra- and inter-day precision were 0.15-0.29 % and 1.05-1.74%, respectively. Accuracies ranged from 101.2-103.2 %, while the retention time and peak area RSDs were 0.37 % and 0.06 %, respectively. Additionally, the plate number and asymmetry factor values for diosmin were 3591.293 and 1.35, respectively. Since the intermediate-precision and robustness of the assay were satisfactory, this method will be a valuable addition to the Korean Pharmacopoeia (KP XI).

Estimation of CyberKnife Respiratory Tracking System Using Moving Phantom (동적 팬톰을 이용한 사이버나이프 호흡동기 추적장치의 위치 정확성 평가)

  • In this study, we evaluated accuracy and usefulness of CyberKnife Respiratory Tracking System ($Synchrony^{TM}$, Accuray, USA) about a moving during stereotactic radiosurgery. For this study, we used moving phantom that can move the target. We also used Respiratory Tracking System called Synchrony of the Cyberknife in order to track the moving target. For treatment planning of the moving target, we obtained an image using 4D-CT. To measure dose distribution and point dose at the moving target, ion chamber (0.62 cc) and gafchromic EBT film were used. We compared dose distribution (80% isodose line of prescription dose) of static target to that of moving target in order to evaluate the accuracy of Respiratory Tracking System. We also measured the point dose at the target. The mean difference of synchronization for TLS (target localization system) and Synchrony were $11.5{\pm}3.09\;mm$ for desynchronization and $0.14{\pm}0.08\;mm$ for synchronization. The mean difference between static target plan and moving target plan using 4D CT images was $0.18{\pm}0.06\;mm$. And, the accuracy of Respiratory Tracking System was less 1 mm. Estimation of usefulness in Respiratory Tracking System was $17.39{\pm}0.14\;mm$ for inactivity and $1.37{\pm}0.11\;mm$ for activity. The mean difference of absolute dose was $0.68{\pm}0.38%$ in static target and $1.31{\pm}0.81%$ in moving target. As a conclusion, when we treat about the moving target, we consider that it is important to use 4D-CT and the Respiratory Tracking System. In this study, we confirmed the accuracy and usefulness of Respiratory Tracking System in the Cyberknife.

Performance verification methods of an inertial measurement unit in flight environment using the real time dual-navigation (실시간 다중항법을 이용한 관성측정기의 비행환경 성능 검증 기법)

  • Abstract It is necessary to verify the properties of an inertial measurement unit in the flight environment before applying to military applications. In this paper, we presented a new approach to verify an inertial measurement unit(IMU) in regard to the performance and the robustness in flight environments for the high-dynamics vehicle systems. We proposed two methods for verification of an IMU. We confirmed normal operation of an IMU and properties in flight environment by using direct comparison method. And we proposed real time multi-navigation system to complement the first method. The proposed method made it possible to compare navigation result at the same time. Therefore, it is easy to analyze the performance of an inertial navigation system and robustness during the vehicle flight. To verify the proposed method, we carried out a flight test as well as an experimental test of flight vibration on the ground. As a result of the experiment, we confirmed flight environment properties of an IMU. Therefore, we shows that the proposed method can serve the reliability improvement of IMU.

Passports Recognition using ART2 Algorithm and Face Verification (ART2 알고리즘과 얼굴 인증을 이용한 여권 인식)

  • 본 논문에서는 출입국자 관리의 효율성과 체계적인 출입국 관리를 위하여 여권 코드를 자동으로 인식하고 위조 여권을 판별할 수 있는 여권 인식 및 얼굴 인증 방법을 제안한다. 여권 이미지는 기울어진 상태로 스캔되어 획득되어질 수도 있으므로 기울기 보정은 문자 분할 및 인식, 얼굴 인증에 있어 매우 중요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 여권 영상을 스미어링한 후, 추출된 문자열 중에서 가장 긴 문자열을 선택하고 이 문자열의 좌측과 우측 부분의 두께 중심을 연결하는 직선과 수평선과의 기울기를 이용하여 여권 여상에 대한 각도 보정을 수행한다. 여권 코드 추출은 소벨 연산자와 수평 스미어링, 8방향 윤곽선 추적 알고리즘을 적용하여 여권 코드의 문자열 영역을 추출하고, 추출된 여권 코드 문자열 영역에 대해 반복 이지화 방법을 적용하여 코드의 문자열 영역을 이진화한다. 이진화된 문자열 영역에 대해 CDM 마스크를 적용하여 문자열의 코드들을 복원하고 8방향 윤곽선 추적 알고리즘을 적용하여 개별 코드를 추출한다. 추출된 개별 코드는 ART2 알고리즘을 적용하여 인식한다. 얼굴 인증을 위해 템플릿 매칭 알고리즘을 이용하여 얼굴 템플릿 데이터베이스를 구축하고 여권에서 추출된 얼굴 영역과의 유사도 측정을 통하여 여권 얼굴 영역의 위조 여부를 판별한다. 얼굴 인증을 위해서 Hue, YIQ-I, YCbCr-Cb 특징들의 유사도를 종합적으로 분석하여 얼굴 인증에 적용한다. 제안된 여권 인식 및 얼굴 인증 방법의 성능을 평가를 위하여 원본 여권에 얼굴 부분을 위조한 여권과 노이즈, 대비 증가 및 감소, 밝기 증가 및 감소 및 여권 영상을 흐리게 하여 실험한 결과, 제안된 방법이 여권 코드 인식 및 얼굴 인증에 있어서 우수한 성능이 있음을 확인하였다.권 영상에서 획득되어진 얼굴 영상의 특징벡터와 데이터베이스에 있는 얼굴 영상의 특징벡터와의 거리 값을 계산하여 사진 위조 여부를 판별한다. 제안된 여권 인식 및 얼굴 인증 방법의 성능을 평가를 위하여 원본 여권에서 얼굴 부분을 위조한 여권과 기울어진 여권 영상을 대상으로 실험한 결과, 제안된 방법이 여권의 코드 인식 및 얼굴 인증에 있어서 우수한 성능이 있음을 확인하였다.진행하고 있다.태도와 유아의 창의성간에는 상관이 없는 것으로 나타났고, 일반 유아의 아버지 양육태도와 유아의 창의성간의 상관에서는 아버지 양육태도의 성취-비성취 요인에서와 창의성제목의 추상성요인에서 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 창의성이 높은 아동의 아버지의 양육태도는 일반 유아의 아버지와 보다 더 애정적이며 자율성이 높지만 창의성이 높은 아동의 집단내에서 창의성에 특별한 영향을 더 미치는 아버지의 양육방식은 발견되지 않았다. 반면 일반 유아의 경우 아버지의 성취지향성이 낮을 때 자녀의 창의성을 향상시킬 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상에서 자녀의 창의성을 향상시키는 중요한 양육차원은 애정성이나 비성취지향성으로 나타나고 있어 정서적인 측면의 지원인 것으로 밝혀졌다.징에서 나타나는 AD-SR맥락의 반성적 탐구가 자주 나타났다. 반성적 탐구 척도 두 그룹을 비교 했을 때 CON 상호작용의 특징이 낮게 나타나는 N그룹이 양적으로 그리고 내용적으로 더 의미 있는 반성적 탐구를 했다용을 지원하는 홈페이지를 만들어 자료 제공 사이트에 대한 메타 자료를 데이터베이스화했으며 이를 통해 학생들이 원하는 실시간 자료를 검색하여 찾을 수 있고 홈페이지를 방분했을 때 이해하기 어려운 그래프나 각 홈페이지가 제공하는 자료들에 대한 처리 방법을 도움말로 제공받을 수 있게 했다. 실

Effects of Salt Concentration on Motility and Expression of Flagellin Genes in the Fish Pathogen Edwardsiella tarda (염 농도가 어류 병원체 Edwardsiella tarda의 운동성과 편모발현에 미치는 영향)

  • E. tarda, a fish pathogen, can survive in seawater under relatively high salt conditions as well as in fish under physiological salt conditions. Bacterial growth under different salt concentrations may influence the expression of genes involved in bacterial structure and physiology. The growth rate of E. tarda culture in high salt (3.5% NaCl) was similar to that in low salt (1.0% NaCl, physiological salt concentration). Interestingly, the strain moved much faster in low salt conditions than in high salt conditions. Electron microscopic observation demonstrated that the bacterial cells grown in high salt had less or no flagellation. Obvious flagellation was observed in the parental strain E. tarda CK41 grown in low-salt condition. Two putative genes coding flagellin were identified in the E. tarda genome sequences. The amino acid sequence comparison of each gene revealed 93% identities. A flagellin gene was PCR amplified and cloned into a cloning vector. Using an E. coli protein expression system, a part of flagellin protein was overexpressed. Using the purified protein, an anti-flagellin antibody was raised in the rabbit. Immunoblot analyses with flagellin specific antibody demonstrated that E. tarda CK41 expressed falgellin in low salt conditions, which is consistent with the results seen in motility assay and microscopic observation. This is the first report of salt regulated flagella expression in E. tarda.

Toward an Evaluation Framework of Library Services: Re-examination of LibQUAL+TM (도서관 서비스 품질평가 도구로서 LibQUAL+TM에 대한 재평가)

  • While $LibQUAL+^{TM}$ is in the headlines of many articles focusing on library service evaluations, little research has been conducted to study the relationship between the $LibQUAL+^{TM}$ factors and the adoption of library services. It remains unclear whether the factors of $LibQUAL+^{TM}$ have any effect on its adoption. A framework was adapted from Icek Ajzen's theory of planned behavior and proposed to extract factors affecting the adoption of library services. The factors were examined via data collection from a Web-based questionnaire survey with college students in the United States. Factor analyses and multiple regression analysis were conducted. Findings show that the intention to use library services is explained by attitude toward library service quality. The attitudinal factors that are significant are (1) perceived personal control, (2) perceived affect of service, and (3) perceived comprehensiveness of information. The relative importance among the factors is also represented by the numbered sequence. However, perceived timeliness of information access and the perception of library as place do not have a significant effect on the intention. This study extends the research on library service evaluation, and provides a new evaluation framework by applying adoption behaviors.

GPR Exploration of Non-metallic Water Pipes Linked with Network RTK (네트워크 RTK와 연계한 비금속 상수관의 GPR 탐사)

  • GPR is used for non-destructive investigations, ground investigations, and underground facilities exploration at construction sites. In this study, the applicability to GPR exploration of water pipes linked to Network RTK was presented. Data on the water supply pipes in the study site were acquired using GPR, and the location and depth of buried water pipes could be measured. The accuracy was evaluated from the GNSS observation performance and showed a deviation of -0.16m ~ 0.15m. This satisfied the equipment performance of the public survey work regulation, suggesting that the exploration of water pipes using GPR is possible. Because GPR does not require grounding installation, as in conventional metal pipe detectors, it will increase the efficiency of work for underground facility exploration. Exploration using GPR can acquire the location and depth of metallic and non-metallic underground facilities, so it can be utilized in the construction of a GIS system. If a comparison of the exploration characteristics is carried out, it will be possible to present various uses of underground facility exploration using GPR.

Improvement on Psychological Stability of the Elderly by Using Companion Robot (반려동물형 로봇을 이용한 고령자 심리 안정의 향상 방안)

  • This study is on the elderly people's use and experience of pet robots (companion robots). Applying companion robots for the elderly's daily lives can enhance their quality of life. Leisure is main activity of the elderly who are out of work. Therefore, the quality and diversity of leisure can affect the quality of their life. Companion Robots could provide them with more advanced and interesting experiences. Around the world, population aging becomes one of the most important trends in each country. The social and economic burden of aging is serious challenge on sustainability of the world, including S. Korea. The authors examine use of Companion Robots for elderly (from 50 years old to 90 years old). In this experiment, the authors study and measure many factors including system quality, interface quality, displeasure, enjoyment, willingness to reuse, perception on new technology. In regression analysis, intimacy(t=-2.006, p<.05) is significant factor on displeasure of Companion Robot. In another regression, displeasure of Companion Robot (independent variable) is significant factor on enjoyment(t=-3.327, p<.01) and willingness to reuse(t=-2.636, p<.01). Therefore, when elderly one feels less displeasure of Companion Robot, he/she feels more enjoyment and willingness to reuse. As a result, the elderly who don't familiar to new technology could improve quality of life and leisure activity by using companion robot.

A Design and Implementation of Floor Detection Application Using RC Car Simulator (RC카 시뮬레이터를 이용한 바닥 탐지 응용 설계 및 구현)

  • Costs invested in road maintenance and road development are on the rise. However, due to accidents such as portholes and ground subsidence, the risks to the drivers' safety and the material damage caused by accidents are also increasing. Following this trend, we have developed a system that determines road damage, according to the magnitude of vibration generated without directly intervening the driver when driving. In this paper, we implemented the system using a remote control car (RC car) simulator due to the limitation of the environment in which the actual vehicle is not available in the process of developing the system. In addition, we attached a vibration sensor and GPS sensor to the body of the RC car simulator to measure the vibration value and location information generated by the movement of the vehicle in real-time while driving, and transmitting the corresponding data to the server. In this way, we implemented a system that allows external users to check the damage of roads and the maintenance of the repaired roads based on data more easily than the existing systems. By using this system, we can perform early prediction of road breakage and pattern prediction based on the data. Further, for the RC car simulator, commercialization will be possible by combining it with business in other fields that require flatness.

Efficient Processing of Multidimensional Sensor stream Data in Digital Marine Vessel (디지털 선박 내 다차원 센서 스트림 데이터의 효율적인 처리)

  • It is necessary to accurate and efficient management for measured digital data from various sensors in digital marine vessel. It is not efficient that sensor network process input stream data of mass storage stored in database the same time. In this paper, We propose to improve the processing performance of multidimensional stream data continuous incoming from multiple sensor. We propose that we arrange some sensors (temperature, humidity, lighting, voice) and process query based on sliding window for efficient input stream and found multiple query plan to Mjoin method and we reduce stored data using SVM algorithm. We automatically delete that it isn't necessary to the data from the database and we used to ship diagnosis system for available data. As a result, we obtained to efficient result about 18.3% reduction rate of database using 35,912 data sets.
