In recent years, electronic games, home computers, and the internet have assumed an important place in our lives. This paper presents a review of the researches on the relation of computer game and children's and adolescent's development. Researches on the impact of computer game on perceptual and cognitive development including attention, spatial perception, numerical ability, problem solving are reviewed. The relation of computer game use and emotional, social and personality development and aggressive development, especially General Aggressive Model(GAM) are also explained. On the basis of this reviews, the future directions of research are discussed.

This study compares the relative effectiveness of private tutoring and self-directed learning on the formation of cognitive (academic achievement on Korean, math, and English) and noncognitive skills (friendship, self esteem, creative personality, and motivation) of primary and secondary school students in Seoul. The results show that private tutoring has positive but diminishing effects on cognitive skill formation with no effects on noncognitive skill formation, while self-directed learning has positive effects on both cognitive and noncognitive skill formation.

The importance of early childhood education has increased and early childhood education has become an important part of the education industry. Scientific and rational early childhood education can effectively promote the development of children's intelligence and is very important for the development of physical and mental health. As a rich and diverse game, educational games have been widely used not only to improve children's sense of cooperation and thinking, but also to help children develop awareness of competition and rules. Stability and personality formation stimulate young children's brain development and expect children's intellectual improvement.

Objective : We investigated how sensory processing patterns contribute to temperament and character traits in undergraduate students. Methods : A total of 107 undergraduate students were recruited in September 2022 via convenient sampling method. They completed the Adolescent/Adult Sensory Profile and the Temperament and Character Inventory. Multiple regression models were applied to analyze the effect of sensory processing quadrants (low registration, sensation seeking, sensory sensitivity, sensation avoiding) on each temperament (novelty seeking, harm avoidance, reward dependence, persistence) and character (self-directedness, cooperativeness, self-transcendence) traits. Results : Sensation seeking significantly predicted high levels of novelty seeking, reward dependence, persistence, self-directedness, and self-transcendence but low harm avoidance. Low registration predicted high harm avoidance but low levels of reward dependence, persistence, and self-directedness. Reward dependence was predicted by high sensory sensitivity and low sensation avoiding. Conclusion : This study demonstrated that sensory processing patterns affected novelty seeking, harm avoidance, reward dependence, persistence, self-directedness, and self-transcendence in young adults.

This study attempts to examine Egyptian agricultural development with regard to the social and political changes in the Egypt, and tries to explore the patterns of major crops and those spatial distribution nowadays. Also, land reclamation processes and farming activities are explained. Agricultural development in Egypt has been considerably affected by historical international trade, and those crops such as cotton and sugar cane have been especially protected and controlled as strategic crops by the Egyptian governments. The issues of land ownership have been varied with political environments by periods, but the controls to the strategic crops have been consistently maintained to a degree though some variations. since the 1990s, national liberalization programs also caused to change the agricultural policies which have affected the adjustments of crop production and land use. Spatial distribution of major crops and farming activities are examined in relation to natural environments by Delta, Middle and Upper Egypt, desert areas. The projects of land reclamation after 1952 are evaluated with the effects of government intervention, and the actors in use of the reclaimed lands are investigated.

Since the 1980s, the academic interests on the regional geography have been renewed. This trend is usually called 'Renaissance' of the regional geography. Given this context, to explore diverse theories and methodologies in the regional geography is of much significance. Particularly, to examine the regional geography in Germany widens the understanding of not only the history, strength, and weakness of the regional geography, but also the discipline's status in the field of geography. This paper discusses the regional geography in Germany before World War II, focusing on varieties of theories and methods as well as the historical trajectory of the German regional geography. This discussion may well be significant in that 'Laenderkunde' became an important paradigm in the discipline of geography in Germany during the pre-World War II period.

신호교차로 교통사고는 90년대 이후 도시가 발달하고 산업이 고도화됨에 따라 교통 혼잡 문제와 함께 심각한 사회문제로 대두되고 있다. 특히 신호교차로의 교통사고는 인적요인, 차량요인, 환경적 요인 등이 복합적으로 작용하여 발생하는데, 교통량의 집중과 도로의 기하구조, 운전자 과실 등이 교통사고의 주요 인자로 작용하고 있다. 본 연구에서 교통사고 예측모형을 개발하기 위해서 2003년부터 2006년도까지 실제 경기도의 신호교차로에서 발생한 교통사고자료를 기초로 하였다. 구체적으로는 시내가 아닌 지방부 성격을 지닌 일반국도를 대상으로 하였다. 지방부 일반국도의 신호교차로 교통사고 분석에 단순통계분석과 다중회귀분석을 사용하였다. 사고와 관계가 높은 신호주기, 방향별 접근 교통량, 회전교통량 둥과 같은 도로, 교통, 운영조건들로 변수를 정하여 교통사고 예측모형을 도출하였다. 본 연구에서는 도로조건, 교통조건, 운영조건들과 사고와의 관계를 이용하여 경기도 일반국도의 신호교차로 교통사고예측모형을 개발하였고, 이는 지방부 성격을 지닌 교차로에 적용이 가능하다고 판단된다.

인터넷의 발달과 온라인 음악서비스로 인해 많은 사람들이 손쉽게 원하는 곡들을 선택하여 청취할 수 있다. 수많은 곡들 중 자기가 선호하는 음악을 듣고 찾기엔 많은 시간이 필요할 뿐만 아니라 검색하기 위해 곡 제목이나 아티스트 및 연도에 관한 정보도 숙지해야 할 것이다. 또한 질의에 해당하는 키워드가 포함되는 리스트만 제공되는 기존 음악 다운 사이트의 환경을 개선하고자, 영국 헤리엇와트 대학 연구진의 결과를 토대로 한 성격유형을 매칭시켜 해당된 장르를 구하고 컨텐트 기반인 음색유사도를 통해 질의에 해당된 음악을 추천해 주는 시스템을 설계하고자 한다. 4Shared.com과 비교 분석하였고 누구나 아는 유명한 곡들보다 한번도 들어보지 못한 곡들을 추천함으로써 유용성에 대한 기대감을 높이고자 한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate and suggest directions and assignments of elementary school counseling based on positive psychology. For this purpose, the goal, contents, techniques and effects of counseling based on positive psychology were examined. Based on this review, the suggested implications for directions and assignments of elementary school counseling as follows; In connection with the directions of elementary school counseling, first, it was suggested that problem-focused counseling approaches centered a small number of problem children should be changed to strength based counseling approaches facilitating all children's whole development, happiness and well-being. Second, it was suggested that continuous and systematic counseling helps should be served to all children so that they can aware, experience and use their character strengths in their all lives at the inside and outside of their school. In connection with the assignments of elementary school counseling, first, increasing children's understanding on happiness, developing counseling programs for enhancing happiness and verifying their effects were discussed. Second, developing effective applying plans of positive counseling techniques and verifying their effects were discussed. Finally, making researches on our children's character strengths and interventions for developing their character strengths were discussed.

The Purpose of this article is to identify the specific characteristics of borderline disorder in adolescence to conceptualize the borderline state as an adolescent process different from borderline personality disorder in adult, and to classify them according to it's unique clinical feature, porcess and outcome. The development of borderline disorder in adolescent, epidemiology, comorbid disorders and differential diagnosis, pre-existing sub-classification systems, and etiology in theories of psychodynamics, biological theories, experimental studies, and follow-up studies are reviewed. The authors conceptualize the adolescent borderline state include all clinical states generated by re-emergence of unresolved rapproachement conflicts in adolescent, and propose that there are four subgroups in adolescent borderline state. (1) Borderline state as an adolescent process. (2) Borderline state associated with psychotic disorders (3) Borderline state as an initial stnge of typical borderline personality disorder (4) Borderline state associated with organic problems. Conceptually, borderline state in adolescence is not a simple continuation of primary failure of separation-individuation but a struggle for mastering unresolved separation-individuation conflicts in adolesance i.e., the second separation-individuation state, and if it fails this time, the struggle might continue into adult life as borderline personality disorder.
