  • The high-density fiber composite manufacturing method by the extrusion molding method has the characteristic that continuous production is possible, and the product is molded through a mold forming a specific cross-section. OPC is used as a defect material, an appropriate amount of SiO2 is supplied for CaO reaction activity, and high density and high strength are expressed through steam and autoclave curing. However, due to the use of organic reinforcing fibers, the flame duration exceeds the regulations during the non-combustible performance test, making it difficult to secure performance. In this study, the product was produced by mixing alkali-resistant organic fiber and fly ash having voids as a binder by replacing the existing polypropylene fiber. appeared to be possible.

  • Extreme loads such as impact and explosion have higher strain rate than static loading condition. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate mechanical properties at high strain rate in order to apply fiber reinforced cement composites to ensure safety performance against impact and explosion. In this study, the compressive properties of fiber reinforced cement composites by strain rate were evaluated.

  • This paper evaluates experimentally the explosion proof of fiber reinforced cement composite(FRCC) panels with various fibers of 2 % volume fraction subjected to contact explosions using an emulsion explosive. As a results, the proportion of the total damage in FRCC panels is not biased scabbing on the rear side with contrast to plain panels, which means that the local damage of FRCC panels was significantly controlled. The experimental results presented useful information for prediction of limited thickness on the local damage subjected to contact explosions through comparison with existing damage evaluation prediction equations.

  • In this study, it evaluate the tensile properties of polyamide fiber reinforced cementitious composite and hooked steel fiber reinforced cementitious Composites by strain rate. Polyamide fiber reinforced cement composites (PAFRCC) and Hooked Steel Fiber Reinforced Cement Composite(HSFRCC) were fabricated. Each specimen was reinforced with 1.0 and 2.0vol% fiber. The length of the reinforced fiber was 30 mm for both fibers, and the tensile test specimen was made in dumbbell shape. As a result, the tensile strength of fiber in polyamide fiber and the mechanical bonding between fiber and matrix in hooked steel fiber are considered to be the main factors affecting tensile behavior of fiber reinforced cement composite.

  • In this study, the direct tensile properties of amorphous metallic fiber-reinforced cement based composites according to the strain was evaluated. A thin plate-shape amorphous metallic fiber with 15mm and 30mm in length was used. And fiber-reinforced cement based composites were prepared with contents of 1.0, 1.5, 2.0%. The direct tensile test was conducted under the conditions of $10^{-6}/s(static)$ and $10^1/s(dynamic)$ strain rate. As a results, amorphous metallic fiber with a length of 15mm was observed in pull-out behavior from the cement matrix because of the short fiber length and large portion of mixed fiber. On the other hand, amorphous metallic fiber with a length of 30mm were not pulled out from matrix because the bonding force between the fiber and matrix was large due to rough surface and large specific surface area. However, fracture occurred because thin plate shape fibers were vulnerable to shear force. Tensile strength, strain capacity and toughness were improved due to the increase in the fiber length. The dynamic increase factor of L15 was larger that of L30 because the bonding performance of the fiber-matrix interface is significantly affected by the strain rate.

  • The results of an experimental study on the manufacture and the mechanical properties of carbon fiber rekforced silica fume . cement composites and light weight fly ash . cement composites are presented in this paper. 11s the test results show, the flexural strength, fracture toughness and ductility of CF reinforced silica fume . cement composites were remarkably increased by the increase of carbon fiber contents. And the workability of the fly ash . cement composites were improved, but the compressive and flexural strength and bulk specific gravity of them are decreased by increasing the ratio of fly ash to cement. And the compressive and flexural strength of the fly ash cement composites by cured under the hot water were improved than those by mositure cured. Also, the manufacturing process technology of lightweight fly ash . cement composites in replacement of general autoclaved lightweight concrete was developed and its optimum mix proportions were proposed.

  • The function of reinforcing fibers used in building materials is to maintain resistance to bending loads and to function for cracking caused by drying shrinkage. High-density fiber-cement composites are mainly used for linear plates and are used to increase bending resistance. Therefore, tensile properties, bonding strength with cement hydrate, alkali resistance, and the like are required. Recently, as the non-combustible performance has been strengthened, a function to minimize the occurrence of sparks during high-temperature heating has been added. Therefore, the use of organic fibers is limited. In this study, a study was conducted to replace polypropylene used as reinforcing fiber with hemp fiber with excellent heat resistance. Hemp fibers have excellent heat resistance, good affinity with cement, and excellent alkali resistance. Based on the total volume of polypropylene fibers used in the existing formulation, the non-combustible performance was compared and evaluated by using hemp fibers instead of the polypropylene fibers, and basic physical properties such as flexural strength were tested. As a result of conducting a non-combustibility and physical property test using hemp fibers with a fiber length of 7 mm using 2 % and 3 % by weight, it was found that there is no remaining time of the flame, and the flexural strength can be secured at 95 % level of the existing polypropylene fiber.

  • In this study, the tensile properties of single and hybrid fiber reinforced cement composite according to strain rate was evaluated. Experimental results, in the strain rate 10-6/s, fiber reinforced cement composite showed improved of tensile strength and decrease of strain at peak stress as SSF volume content increased. In the strain rate 101/s, the single and hybrid reinforced cement composite's tensile properties are improved, because of the improved bond strength between the fiber and matrix. And hybrid fiber reinforced cement composite showed high energy absorption capacity, because the SSF prevented the cracking and fracture of the surrounding matrix when during the HSF pull-out.
