A Investigation of Bed Material for Effective River Management (효율적인 하천 관리를 위한 하상재료조사)

  • 하도에서의 하천정비 및 안전하도 유지를 위해서는 하상변동 특성을 면밀히 파악하는 것이 중요하다. 상류유역에서 하천으로 내려온 유사(流砂)는 하천의 흐름과 생태환경에 영향을 미친다. 이중 하천흐름은 사련(ripple)이나 사구(dune)의 형성에 영향을 미쳐, 하천의 지형변동인 사주에 영향을 주고 하천 식생의 성장과 발달에 직 간접적으로 간섭하게 된다. 또한, 교량, 취수장의 취수장애, 호안블럭의 침식 등과 같이 수리구조물의 안정에 영향을 주게 된다. 하천의 유사량 변화에 따라 생태계의 서식환경이 변하게 된다. 또한, 저수지에서 유입 유사량의 변화에 따라 저수지의 용적이 변하게 되어 댐의 설계 및 운영에 많은 영향을 끼치게 되며 특히 저수지 탁수관리에 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에는 4개 대권역의 주요지천 및 댐 직 하류하천 지점 중 적정구간을 선택하여 하상재료조사를 실시하였다. 하상재료 조사는 하도를 구성하는 모래와 자갈의 물리적 성질 중 유사의 이동량 및 하상의 변동, 하도설계 등에 관련 있는 입도분포, 비중 등을 측정하며 자갈하천은 표층 하상재료를 조사하고, 모래 재료는 체분석, 실트이하 재료는 BW관 등을 이용한 침강속도 분석을 실시한다. 주요지점의 중 남강의 안의 수위 우량관측소 지점의 상 하류 2km 구간을 200m마다 21개 지점의 하상재료를 채취하여 입도분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 남강 안의지점의 표층은 여느 하천과 마찬가지로 상 하류 굵은 자갈로 구성되어 있으며 전형적인 자갈하천의 특성을 보었다. 상류200m(2000m)에서는 최소 50mm(10mm), 최대 440mm(75mm), 평균입경은 174mm(34.7mm) 이었고, 하류200m(2000m)에서의 표층입경은 최소 8mm(25mm), 최대 50mm(110mm)이며 평균입경은 27.3mm(62.5mm)로 구성되어 있었다. 전체적으로 상류지역의 입경이 하류지역보다 큰 것을 관찰할 수 있었으며 유수 흐름의 일시적인 저항이 발생하는 안의교 지점의 자갈 입경이 인근 부근보다 큰 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

Design and Implementation of Electronic Medical Record System Based on HL7-CDA for the Exchange of Clinical Information (임상 정보교환을 위한 HL7-CDA 기반의 전자의무기록 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • For the sharing and exchange of information between medical clinics, the clinical document has to be built on a standardized protocol such as a HL7-CDA. But it is difficult to exchange information between medical clinics because clinical document such as electronic medical record that include text and image, have different structure of document and type of expression. In this paper, we propose the electronic medical record system based on HL7-CDA that can share and exchange clinical information between medical institute. For this purpose, we have to design the schema of the clinical document architecture after we select the essential items of medical record and define templates. The proposed system can minimize integrating process and save parsing time when clinical information exchange and refer, by converting electronic medical record to base64 encoding scheme and integrate it in a XML document.

  • Reusable software component is an ultimate goal for the software development. Component based development is focused on advanced concepts rather than passive manipulation or class library with source codes. However, the primary component construction in component based development lead to an additional development cost and effort for reconstructing the new software component within a component model. Java application provides several features based on component model. But, we only have an opportunity to develop the smallest reuse units or the restricted set of GUI components. It cannot contributed as a component and only used in the specific domain component with high cost and efforts. In this paper, we apply java component model to the existing java application and extract javabeans through extending the component scalability. We also discuss the algorithm for transformation mechanism from legacy class to javabeans with a partial of business logic.

  • 하천의 치수안정성 확보 및 수심유지, 생태복원 등과 같은 다양한 요구를 충족하기 위한 보의 성능 개선에 대한 연구가 필요하며, 계단형 보는 재료에 의한 폭기효과 및 서식처 효과 등의 환경적요소를 내포하고 있다. 기존 연구는 표면류 흐름특성을 검증하고 유량변화에 따른 하류단 도수발생위치 변화를 분석하는 등 계단형 보에 대해 수리특성을 정량화한 연구가 대부분이며 흐름변화에 따른 유속장에 관한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 기능성 친환경 횡단 구조물 유형 중 하나인 계단형 보의 안정성 검토를 위한 수리적 특성을 분석하고자 함으로써 구조물 안정성에 영향을 줄 수 있는 자체 및 하류 보호공 주변의 유속 분석을 통한 흐름 특성을 검토하고 설계시 외력 고려를 위한 자료를 제공하기 위한 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 계단형 보모형에 대해 수리모형실험을 수행하였다. 폭 0.24 m, 총 길이 3.70 m, 높이 0.30 m인 순환실험수로를 이용하였으며, 계단형 보 모형은 5단으로 단 높이 2 cm와 단 길이 5 cm이며, 보 높이는 10 cm, 보 길이는 25 cm 모형으로 실험하였다. 하류에 전도식 게이트를 설치하여 하류 수위를 증가시키면서 보 하류부에서 발생하는 완전도수부터 하류수심이 보 높이를 초과하는 잠김흐름 조건에 대해 실험하였다. 측정기법은 입자영상측정계(Particle Image Velocimetry; PIV)를 이용하였으며, 상류영역부터 하류영역에 대해 보 주변 흐름의 순간적 유속분포를 확인하였다. 또한 측정된 전반적 흐름 양상에 대해 통계적 수리분석을 수행하였다. 흐름특성에 대한 연구는 향후 계단형 보의 물받이 길이 및 보의 적정 규모 설계시 중요한 자료가 될 것으로 기대한다.

An Analysis of the Characteristics of Ecological Aesthetics in Patricia Johanson' Landscape Design (패트리샤 요한슨 (Patricia Johanson) 작품의 생태미학적 특성 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the ecological aesthetic features and the implications for ecological landscape design by analyzing the design philosophy and ecological artworks of Patricia Johanson, an ecological artist. Literature review and a field visit were conducted to investigate Johanson's four art projects that express the functional purpose, artistry, and locality of symbiosis with nature and restoration of ecosystem habitats. As the results of analysis, first, Johanson's work created 'functional art work' and 'artistic infrastructure'. Second, the historical and regional characteristics were expressed artistically and symbolically. Third, Johanson is characterized by connecting humans and nature through the publicity of works of art, and raising the awareness of preservation of nature and environment among the community and children. Johanson's innovative works can provide inspiration for landscape architects pursuing functional and sustainable landscape design.

  • Artificial Organism-used application areas are expanding at a break-neck speed with a view to getting things done in a dynamic and Informal environment. A use of general programming or traditional hi methods as the representation of Artificial Organism behavior knowledge in these areas can cause problems related to frequent modifications and bad response in an unpredictable situation. Strategies aimed at solving these problems in a machine-learning fashion includes Genetic Programming and Evolving Neural Networks. But the learning method of Artificial-Organism is not good yet, and can't represent life in the environment. With this in mind, this research is designed to come up with a new behavior evolution model. The model represents behavior knowledge with Classification Rules and Enhanced Backpropation Neural Networks and discriminate the denomination. To evaluate the model, the researcher applied it to problems with the competition of Artificial-Organism in the Simulator and compared with other system. The survey shows that the model prevails in terms of the speed and Qualify of learning. The model is characterized by the simultaneous learning of classification rules and neural networks represented on chromosomes with the help of Genetic Algorithm and the consolidation of learning ability caused by the hybrid processing of the classification rules and Enhanced Backpropagation Neural Network.

Correction Algorithm of Errors by Seagrasses in Coastal Bathymetry Surveying Using Drone and HD Camera (드론과 HD 카메라를 이용한 수심측량시 잘피에 의한 오차제거 알고리즘)

  • This paper presents an algorithm for identifying and eliminating errors by seagrasses in coastal bathymetry surveying using drone and HD camera. Survey errors due to seagrasses were identified, segmentated and eliminated using a L∗a∗b color space model. Bathymetry survey using a drone and HD camera has many advantages over conventional survey methods such as ship-board acoustic sounder or manual level survey which are time consuming and expensive. However, errors caused by sea bed reflectance due to seagrasses habitat hamper the development of new surveying tool. Seagrasses are the flowering plants which start to grow in November and flourish to maximum density until April in Korea. We developed a new algorithm for identifying seagrasses habitat locations and eliminating errors due to seagrasses to get the accurate depth survey data. We tested our algorithm at Wolpo beach. Bathymetry survey data which were obtained using a drone with HD camera and calibrated to eliminate errors due to seagrasses, were compared with depth survey data obtained using ship-board multi-beam acoustic sounder. The abnormal bathymetry data which are defined as the excess of 1.5 times of a standard deviation of random errors, are composed of 8.6% of the test site of area of 200 m by 300 m. By applying the developed algorithm, 92% of abnnormal bathymetry data were successfully eliminated and 33% of RMS errors were reduced.

  • The Riparian Buffer Zone(RBZ) is a sustainable social-ecological system created in the middle zone between water and land. For the RBZ, close communication with the local community is important, and it is necessary to promote it as a communicative environmental planning process. In this study, for the RBZ project, three strategies are presented as a communicative act to understand and implement planning. First, government-led projects were avoided and improved to a process in which citizens and stakeholders participated together, centered on local partnership. Second, it was intended to introduce design criterias in terms of enhancing the function of ecosystem services that citizens can sympathize with, and to increase acceptance and awareness through the planning of preferred spaces and facilities. Third, after a balanced plan for habitats, water cycle-based ecological environment, ecological experience and open space, citizens felt the restoration effect and value as an ecological resources, and a system was prepared to participate in the operation and management. This study will work as a process model based on citizens's participation. In addition, it will be possible to provide lessons for the change of the policy paradigm for the RBZ and the implementation of similar projects in the future.

A Study on the Design of the Appraisal System of Permanent Archival Institutions : Focused on the Seoul Metropolitan Archives (영구기록물관리기관의 재평가체계 설계 연구 서울기록원을 중심으로)

  • This study aimed to design an evaluation system applicable to permanent record management institutions, focusing on the Seoul Archives, in order to implement the reevaluation of permanent record management institutions. As a process for this, an area for evaluating evidence, administrative, and historical values was established and detailed evaluation factors were derived. In order to effectively apply the set evaluation factors, the evaluation procedure was designed by dividing them into three stages. In the first stage of law-based evaluation, long-term preservation was determined by identifying the position and legal form of policymakers that can be immediately evaluated according to clear standards. Records that have not been determined for long-term preservation were reorganized into evaluation factors, such as record management standards, official document classification tables, pledges, and policies, which are the second stage of business function-based evaluation, and then comprehensively applied to review the validity of long-term preservation of held records. In the second stage of evaluation, records that were not judged as long-term preservation were judged by applying historical events, cultural assets, and collection policies in the subject-based evaluation stage, which is the third stage of evaluation. The designed evaluation system can find significance in minimizing the arbitrariness reflected in the evaluation and increasing the efficiency of the evaluation, and it has been confirmed that it is possible to evaluate comprehensively reflecting the various contexts and values of the records. In addition, a re-evaluation system suitable for permanent records management institutions was established by combining balanced macro-evaluation and micro-evaluation.

Change Process of the Zoo in the Seoul Children's Grand Park (서울 어린이대공원 내 동물원의 변화과정)

  • This study aims to analyze the change process in order to set the improvement strategies for the zoo in the Seoul Children's Grand Park. The zoo can be reviewed through three significant time periods with noticeable changes. As a framework to analyze the major changes that happened in the zoo, this study looks at the changes in terms of the planning aspect as well as the animal welfare and program operation aspect. The findings are as follows: first, the era of general theme park turned out to have focused on exhibiting animals to meet visitor demands by expanding the zoo area of the zoo without enlarging stockyards for the animals. Second, the environmental park era created a zoo having entertaining and educational functions by arranging animal houses with the concept of zoological taxonomy and introducing animal behavioral enrichment, animal welfare programs and visitor participatory programs. The era of the zoo as an Urban Cultural Park improved old animal houses and facilities for the welfare of the animals and increased educational programs to preserve species and provide environmental education. The current status of the zoo turns out not to meet the conditions for creating an ecological zoo, which is the overall goal for contemporary zoos. The improvement strategies based on the analysis through three different eras are three-fold. First, the zoo needs to improve the boundary conditions of the animals to showcase animal wildness through landscape immersion. Second, the zoo should provide a shared environment for animals from the same habitats by changing the classification methods from the existing polyphyletic taxon to a classification that considers ecological habitat. Third, the zoo needs to develop various ecological education programs by supplementing specialists in professional education.
