Runoff Characteristics Analysis in the ImJin-River Basin (2005년 임진강 유역의 유출특성 분석)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 임진강 유역을 대상으로 2005년에 발생한 유출특성을 분석하는데 있다. 임진강 유역은 유역전체 면적중 2/3이상이 북한지역에 위치하고 있어서 전체적인 수문관측 자료를 수집하기 어려운 상황에 있으나, 가용한 수문관측 자료 및 유량측정성과를 이용하여 5개 지점에 대한 유출특성을 분석하였다. 임진강 유역에서는 30분 단위의 연속적인 우량 및 수위관측(건설교통부)을 하고 있으며, 기상청에서는 1시간 단위의 기상관측을 하고 있다. 우량 및 수위자료의 수집과 검토를 통하여 유역면적우량과 5개 수위관측소의 수위를 최종 확정하였다. 그리고 2005년에 측정한 유량측정성과를 통하여 유량측정성과에 대한 불확실도, 기본 수리특성 분석, 수위-유량관계곡선식을 개발하여 유량을 산정하였다. 산정된 유량은 월별, 주요 호우사상별 유출률 분석을 통하여 합리적인 유출률 범위내에서 재 조정절차를 거쳐 최종 유량을 확정하였다. 산정된 유출률은 57.0%(영중)${\sim}$72.1%(적성)의 유출률을 보였으며, 2004년 임진강 유량측정용역 보고서의 유출률과 비교한 결과 일부지점을 제외하고는 비교적 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. 임진강 유역의 일부인 설마천 시험유역에서의 2005년 연간 유출률은 60.9%로 상기의 값은 매우 타당하다고 할 수 있다. 그리고, 남북한 수문자료의 공유 및 기술적 교류, 유역 전체의 정밀한 수문관측 및 신뢰성 있는 수문자료 생성이 이루어진다면 보다 정확한 유출특성 거동을 분석할 수 있을 것이며, 효과적인 치수 및 이수계획의 수립 등 수자원 개발을 위한 기반을 확보할 수 있을 것이다.수리모형실험과 연계하여 댐 설계에 효율적으로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 전망된다.지는 것으로 평가되었다. 그러나 본 연구결과를 통하여 투수성 포장과 지하수에 관련된 매개변수의 집적과 분석결과는 현장기술 적용 시 매개변수의 유용한 선택과 도시유역의 물 순환 건전화 대안기술 적용에 효과적인 방법론을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.첨두홍수량을 저류하기 위해서 상대적으로 넓은 저류면적이 필요한 것으로 나타난다. 대등한 수위감소값의 홍수저감효과를 발휘하기 위해서 본 연구에서는 On-Line 저류지 면적은 Off-Line 저류지에 비 두배 이상이 필요한 것으로 보여졌다.들에 관한 정보는 종종 현장관측에서 조차 무시되는 경우가 많다. 이에 본 연구에서는 수질모형의 매개변수 중 특히 수리특성에 관련된 매개변수들이 수질에 미치는 영향을 파악하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위해 적용된 수질모형은 QualKo를 사용하였으며, 대상 하천은 낙동강 본류 경남구간 시점 부근인 회천 합류 전부터 낙동강 본류 경남구간 종점 부근인 밀양강 합류 전까지의 경남 오염총량관리 기본계획 시 구축된 모형 매개변수를 바탕으로 분석을 수행하였다. 일차오차분석을 이용하여 수리매개변수와 수질매개변수의 수질항목별 상대적 기여도를 파악해 본 결과, 수리매개변수는 DO, BOD, 유기질소, 유기인 모든 항목에 일정 정도의 상대적 기여도를 가지고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이로부터 수질 모형의 적용 시 수리 매개변수 또한 수질 매개변수의 추정 시와 같이 보다 세심한 주의를 기울여 추정할 필요가 있을 것으로 판단된다.변화와 기흉 발생과의 인과관계를 확인하고 좀 더 구체화하기

Bivariate Frequency Analysis of Rainfall using Copula Model (Copula 모형을 이용한 이변량 강우빈도해석)

  • The estimation of the rainfall quantile is of great importance in designing hydrologic structures. Conventionally, the rainfall quantile is estimated by univariate frequency analysis with an appropriate probability distribution. There is a limitation in which duration of rainfall is restrictive. To overcome this limitation, bivariate frequency analysis by using 3 copula models is performed in this study. Annual maximum rainfall events in 5 stations are used for frequency analysis and rainfall depth and duration are used as random variables. Gumbel (GUM), generalized logistic (GLO) distributions are applied for rainfall depth and generalized extreme value (GEV), GUM, GLO distributions are applied for rainfall duration. Copula models used in this study are Frank, Joe, and Gumbel-Hougaard models. Maximum pseudo-likelihood estimation method is used to estimate the parameter of copula, and the method of probability weighted moments is used to estimate the parameters of marginal distributions. Rainfall quantile from this procedure is compared with various marginal distributions and copula models. As a result, in change of marginal distribution, distribution of duration does not significantly affect on rainfall quantile. There are slight differences depending on the distribution of rainfall depth. In the case which the marginal distribution of rainfall depth is GUM, there is more significantly increasing along the return period than GLO. Comparing with rainfall quantiles from each copula model, Joe and Gumbel-Hougaard models show similar trend while Frank model shows rapidly increasing trend with increment of return period.

Characterization of Brugmansia mosaic virus Isolated from Brugmansia spp. in Korea (국내 브루그만시아에서 분리한 Brugmansia mosaic virus의 특성)

  • In May 2013, an angel's trumpet leaves showing mosaic and malformation symptoms were collected from Suwon city, Gyeonggi-do. An analysis of the collected sample by transmission electron microscopy observation showed filamentous rod particles of 720-800 nm in length. On the basis of the these observations, we performed PCR against three reported Potyviruses (Brugmansia mosaic virus, Colombian datura virus and Brugmansia suaveolens mottle virus), and the sample was positive for BruMV. Pathogenicity and host range test of BruMV was determined by mechanical inoculation. Solanaceae (tobacco, tomato and eggplant) and Amaranthaceae (ground cherry) appeared typical virus symptoms. To determine coat protein of this virus, we designed specific primer pairs, and performed PCR amplification, cloning, and sequencing. Phylogenetic analysis showed that BruMV-SW was most closely related to BruMV isolate SK. Comparison of the BruMV-SW coat protein nucleotide sequences showed 92% to 99% identities to the other BruMV isolates.

Determination of Parameters for the Clark Model based on Observed Hydrological Data (실측수문자료에 의한 Clark 모형의 매개변수 결정)

  • The determination of feasible design flood is the most important to control flood damage in river management. Concentration time and storage constant in the Clark unit hydrograph method mainly affects magnitude of peak flood and shape of hydrograph. Model parameters should be calibrated using observed discharge but due to deficiency of observed data the parameters have been adopted by empirical formula. This study is to suggest concentration time and storage constant based on the observed rainfall-runoff data at GongDo stage station in the Ansung river basin. To do this, five criteria have been suggested to compute root mean square error(RMSE) and residual of oserved value and computed one. Once concentration time and storage constant have been determined from three rainfall-runoff event selected at the station, the five criteria based on observed hydrograph and computed hydrograph by the Clark model have been computed to determine the value of concentration time and storage constant. A criteria has been proposed to determine concentration time and storage constant based on the results of the observed hydrograph and the Clark model. It has also been shown that an exponent value of concentration time-cumulative area curve should be determined based on the shape of watershed.

  • 지적재산권은 기술개발의욕 자극을 위해 새로이 물건이나 사상 등의 창작자에게 일종의 배타적 독점권을 부여한 것으로서 1980년대 이후 국제적 관심이 고조되기 시작하였는데, 두 차례의 석유파동 이후 기술이 국제 경쟁력의 주요 결정요인으로 등장하던 시기에 한국을 비롯한 개도국들이 선진국의 기술을 모방하여 첨단기술제품 분야에서 경쟁적 우위를 확보하자 자신들의 경쟁력 확보를 위해 선진국들이 자신들의 통상교섭력을 바탕으로 GATT/UR 등 국제적 협상을 통해 지적재산권 보호문제를 통상문제로 확대시킨 것이다. 이러한 지적재산권에 대한 통상문제와 관련하여 가장 문제가 되는 국가는 역시 미국인데, 미국은 통상법 301조 중 지적재산권 보호에 적용되는 Special 301조를 이용하여 지적재산권 보호에 대한 실효성을 확보하였으며, 당초 제품수입상의 불공정거래행위에 적용하던 관세법 337조를 지적재산권을 침해하는 수입 판매행위에도 적용할 수 있도록 개정함으로써 그 보호수단을 더욱 강화하였는데, 이에 따라 우리도 적절한 대응방안의 모색이 요구되고 있다. 우선 정부의 입장에서는 대내적으로 원천기술 및 개량기술 개발을 통한 기술의 해외의존도 축소, 인센티브 도입 등 직무발명제도 활성화, 해외특허권 취득확대를 위한 중소기업의 해외출원비용 지원, 심사관의 전문화롤 통한 심사의 처리속도 및 질 향상, 특허기술정보 이용체제 개선을 위한 특허청의 정보전산화 및 산업기술정보원 톡허정보센타와의 유기적인 협조체제 구축, 기업의 특허분쟁대응능력 향상을 위한 전담부서 마련 및 국제특허분쟁 전문변리사 양성 등의 대안을 마련할 필요가 있으며, 대외적으로는 PLT협약 등 차후에 있을 국제협약에의 적극적인 참여를 통한 우리나라의 이익도모, 남북 가교역할의 강화 및 한 미 양국간의 법제적 차이에 대한 오해불식, 해당 산업에 영향을 줄 수 있는 로비 활동의 활성화 등의 대안이 필요하다. 또한 기업의 입장에서는 사전적으로 과감한 연구개발투자를 통한 산업재산권 확보, 기술 법률 언어능력을 고루 갖춘 특허전문가의 확보, 국제특허분쟁에 대한 대응체계 구축, 특허권 분쟁발생 방지를 위한 책임소재의 명확화 등의 근본적인 대책과 국제특허분쟁 차단을 위한 철저한 선행기술 조사, 해외기술의 개량 및 이용 촉진을 위한 크로스-라이센스의 활성화, 부실특허권에 대한 적극적인 무효심판청구, 제소정보에 대한 조기 입수, 설계변경이나 특허무효자료조사 등 침해회피 방법의 준비, 위험특허에 대한 철저한 예비조사 등의 부수적인 대책을 마련할 필요가 있으며, 일단 특허분쟁이 발생한 경우에는 당해 분쟁의 자사 생산 제품과의 관련여부 검토, 사건에 필요한 광범위한 정보 수집을 위한 전담팀 구성, 제소인의 특허권에 대한 면밀한 법률적 검토, 제소자에 대한 정확한 정보파악 및 최종 대응방안에 대한 신속한 결정, 자사의 특허를 이용한 제소자에 대한 역제소 등의 대응방안을 강구할 필요가 있는 것이다.

A Derivation of the Representative Unit Hydrograph from Multiperiod Complex Storm by Linear Programming (선형계획법(線型計劃法)에 의한 대표단위도(代表單位圖) 유도(誘導))

  • This paper presents an algorithm to derive the representative unit hydrograph for the real environment of a watershed. For a given watershed, the conventional methods give several different unit hydrographs by storm events. In this study the LP model is somewhat modified based on the previous study by Mays et also as follows: the objective function is designed to minimize the sum of weighted residuals. An additional constraint of moving average is added to prevent the unit hydrograph from the occurence of oscillation which was not active in Mays's paper. Configuration of rainfall matrix was improved to reduce its dimension in accordance with Diskin's review point. In spite of the superiority of LP approach in terms of representativeness, all the methods were very sensitive to the validity of baseflow separation and rainfall-loss. Several methods of the separations for rainfall excesses and direct runoffs were applied and no preferred methods were identified. This is the matter of judgement considering catchment and rainfall characteristics. This algorithm was applied to a real watershed of the Wi stream in the Nak-dong river. Compared with the IHP results by conventional methods, this optimized representative unit hydrograph demonstrated relatively smaller and shorter values in terms of the peak discharge and the basin lag respectively, and the oscillation of its falling limb successfully eliminated owing to the additional constraints of moving averages.

  • General reliability assessment of levees embankment is performed with safety factors for rainfall characteristics and hydrologic and hydraulic parameters, based on the results of deterministic analysis. The safety factors are widely employed in the field of engineering handling model parameters and the diversity of material properties, but cannot explain every natural phenomenon. Uncertainty of flood analysis and related parameters by introducing stochastic method rather than deterministic scheme will be required to deal with extreme weather and unprecedented flood due to recent climate change. As a consequence, stochastic-method-based measures considering parameter uncertainty and related factors are being established. In this study, a variety of dimensionless cumulative rainfall curve for typhoon and monsoon season of July to September with generation method of stochastic temporal variation is generated by introducing Monte Carlo method and applied to the risk assessment of levee embankment using reliability index. The result of this study reflecting temporal and regional characteristics of a rainfall can be used for the establishment of flood defence measures, hydraulic structure design and analysis on a watershed.

An Analysis of First Flush Phenomenon of Non-point Source Pollution during Rainfall-Runoff Events from Impervious Area (불투수성 지역의 강우유출수에 대한 비점오염물질의 초기유출현상 분석)

  • In this study, trend analysis was performed by various runoff analysis method of Non-point Pollution Source(NPS) at the impervious area. The characteristics of rainfall at impervious area appeared to be influenced by rainfall strength and it appeared that first flush phenomenon occurs often if rainfall strength acts largely. It is judged that the measure is required to be prepared against that now that concentration difference of non-point pollution source appeared to be big by precedent number of days of no rainfall. As the result of calculating Decrease Rate (DR) by first flush of non-point pollution source, it is judged that it is important to prepare the measure against the pollutants about initial rain and it is necessary to calculate the capacity of non-point pollution source processing facilities regarding that now that the non-point pollution source integrated at impervious area showed the characteristics that are flowed out in high concentration by initial rain in case of non-rainfall considering the characteristics of non-point pollution source at impervious area. When taking 50% of non-point pollution source as the standard for decrease rate that was evaluated previously, it appeared as 15~60 min in case of TSS and it appeared as 30~90 min in case of organic compound, but the characteristic whose decrease rate is below 50% also appeared even till rainfall-runoff ends. Based on that, it is judged that it could be used as the reference when designing the structural BMPs facilities later.

Development and Application of Detection Method for Aphanizomenon flos-aquae not Usable as a Food Materials in Korea (식품 중 사용금지 원료인 Aphanizomenon flos-aquae 검출법 개발 및 응용)

  • Anatoxin-a, saxitoxin and neosaxitoxin are produced by Aphanizomenon flos-aquae that is a sort of the cyanobacteria phylum. Therefore, it is not permitted for food materials in Korea. Traditionally, the classification of cyanobacteria has been based on morphological characters such as trichome width, cell size, division planes, shape, and the presence of character such as gas vacuole. But, some diagnostic features, such as gas vacuole or akinetes, can show variation with different environmental or growth conditions and even be lost during cultivation. Therefore, we developed detection method for functional foods containing Aph. flos-aquae by PCR. To design the primer, 16S rRNA region of Aph. flos-aquae, Spirulina laxissima, and Spirulina spp. registered in the GeneBank (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov) have been used and for comparative analysis, BioEdit ver. 7.0.9.0. was used. As a result, we was design AFA-F1/AFA-R1 (363 bp) primer for the differentiation Aph. flos-aquae from chlorella, spirulina, green tea, and spinach. Also, it could be distinguished chlorella and spirulina products those are made to contain 1% Aph. flos-aquae.

Land-use Enhancement Benefit According to Flood Safety (치수안전도에 따른 토지이용의 편익 분석)

  • This study analyzed the effect of land-use enhancement benefits with the flood safety which it is not quantified in the flood damage analysis, Korea. The land-use enhancement benefits mean the enhancement of land-use value according to the rise of flood safety of the protected area by the flood control projects and we performed the analysis of land-use enhancement benefits with the publicly announced land price which can objectively represent the land-use value of a specific area. We verified the statistical significance of the floating rate of land price according to the effects of flood control projects and the characteristics of a river through the analysis of variance. As a result of the verification, the increase of land-use value was represented by the net annual average floating rate of land price. The flood safety was classified as flood damage potential and flood prevention capacity. The flood damage potential was classified according to the rate of urbanization and flood prevention capacity was represented by the conditional annual non-exceedance probability obtained from the frequency analysis with uncertainty for the flood discharge. The study areas were small urban cities and we calculated the conditional annual non-exceedance probabilities of 200-year flood event for the levees constructed with the conditions of 10- and 50-year design frequency. The result was shown that the net annual average floating rate of land price would be raised nearly 5 times for 10%-increase of the conditional annual non-exceedance probability in small city areas.
