The Late 18C Hwanghae-Gamsa's Utilization of Governing and Ritual Institutions in Haeju-Mok -Focused on "Haeyeong Ilgi"(Mae-Su Seo)- (18C말(末) 황해감사 서매수(徐邁修)의 집무와 해주목 관영시설의 이용 -"해영일기(海營日記)"서매수(徐邁修)를 중심으로-)

  • This study aims to analyze the late 18th century Hanghae-Gamsa's(黃海監司; the provincial governor of Hanghae-Do) utilization of governing institutions in Haeju-Mok(海州牧) focused on his duties and ritual ceremonies. Haeyeong-Ilgi("海營日記") which is Hangha-Gamsa's official diary written by Mae-Su Seo(1731-1818) is closely investigated for that purpose. The arrival ceremonies were held at Geumcheon and the Gyogwui(交龜; the change-over ritual ceremonies) were held at Geumcheon and Baecheon. Especially the arrival ceremony held at Haeju-Mok is very spectacular compared with other cities. Through this study it was able to confirm the place of regular and irregular ritual ceremonies held and the aspects of governing institutions' utilization in Haeju-Mok.

Analysis of Mugwort Oligosaccharides Utilized by Bifidobacteria (Bifidobacteria가 이용한 쑥의 올리고당 분석)

  • The water extract of mugwort was analyzed to see its growth-promoting activity for bifidobacteria and lactobacilli. The growth of bifidobacteria appeared to be enhanced by carbon source in the water extract of mugwort. Bifidobacterium longum seemed to utilize preferentially monosaccharides and oligosaccharides with 2-5 DP (degree of polymerization). The mugwort oligosaccharides were separated by charcoal-celite column chromatography and purified by Bio-gel $P_2$ column chromatography. HPLC chromatograms of the hydrolyzates of oligosaccharides showed that they were mainly composed of galactose and glucose.

  • 나선형 CT 혈관촬영에서 획득한 영상의 분석를 통해서 폐색전증이 의심되는 부위를 자동으로 검출하는 방법으로, 연구 대상은 20명의 환자를 대상으로 분석하였으며 CT 검사 후 방사선과 의사가 정상소견을 받은 환자 5명과 폐색전증이 있는 판독소견을 가진 15명을 대상으로 비교 분석하였다. CT 검사하는 동안에 조영제를 투입하면, 폐색전증이 발생한 부위는 조영제 양과 분포가 불균등하여 명암값이 낮게 검출된다. 검출방법으로는 전처리 작업으로 폐영역만을 분할하고, 분할된 폐영역에서 혈관을 찾기 위해 모폴로지기법를 적용하여 세선화(thinning) 작업을 진행한다. 다음 공정으로는 경계선을 찾아 local watershed를 적용하여 혈관을 검출하고, 검출된 혈관내에서 원형모델을 적용하여 모폴로지(morphology)을 통해 국소 부위의 미세한 농도변화를 인지하여 색전이 발생한 영역을 자동검출하였다. 본 논문의 자동검출시스템에서는 색전증이 있는 경우에 true positive의 발생빈도는 case 당 4.5개가 검출되었다. 정상인의 경우에도 혈류의 흐름, 혈류의 분기점, 노이즈로 인한 false positive의 빈도는 case 당 2.6개가 발생하여 전체적으로 false positive는 5.2개가 검출되었다. 본 논문은 false positive의 비율이 높게 검출되었지만 폐영역 CT 검사의 컴퓨터지원진단시스템(computer aided diagnosis)의 향후 연구과제에 방향을 제시할 수 있을 것이라 사료된다.

  • 제 3세대 이동통신 시스템인 UMTS는 인터페이스를 통해 전달되는 IP 패킷을 인터넷 망에 전송하기 위해 GPRS 시스템을 정의하고 있다. GPRS 시스템 중 게이트웨이 기능을 수행하는 GGSN은 이동망과 인터넷 망을 연결시켜주는 역할을 한다. Mobile IP 망에 가입된 가입자 또는 ISP 망에 가입될 가입자 간에 인터넷 서비스를 지속적으로 제공하기 위해 이동통신 망과 인터넷 당에 단일화된 하나의 라우팅 메커니즘이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이들 망 간의 패킷을 효율적으로 라우팅할 수 있는 IP-in-IP 방법을 제안한다. 그리고 제안한 방법에 따라 패킷 전송을 위한 기능, 처리 절차 및 메시지 구조를 설계하고 구현한다. 마지막으로 GGSN과 FA 시스템 간의 패킷 전송률, 그리고 GGSN과 FA/ISP 시스템을 동시에 연결한 상태에서 패킷 전송률을 살펴본다.

  • 본 논문에서는 통계적인 특징 추출 방법을 사용하여 샘물체로 필기된 한글을 고속으로 인식하는 방법을 소개한다. 대부분이 직선 성분으로 이루어진 한글의 특성을 이응하기 위하여 입력 영상으로부터 수평, 수직, 사선, 역사선의 방향 성분을 추출하며, 검은 화소의 밀도에 따라 동적으로 그물을 결정함으로써 획 간의 접촉 변형에 무관한 특징 벡터를 추출한다. 이와 같은 통계적 특징 추출 방법은 크기 정규화나 세선화 과정이 필요없으며, 또한 샘물체라는 필기 형태의 제약에 의해 정합 대상 부류의 수가 현저히 줄어들기 때문에 인식에 소요되는 시간을 상당히 줄일 수 있음은 물론, 인식률을 향상시켰다. 제안된 방법의 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 샘물체로 필기된 KS 완성형 한글 2,350자에 대해 실험한 결과, 평균 90% 이상의 인식률을 보이며, IBM PC 486(33MHz)상에서 문자당 평균 0.17초의 인식 속도를 보임으로써, 실용적인 고속 OCR 시스템의 개발 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다.

A Method for Finger Vein Recognition using a New Matching Algorithm (새로운 정합 알고리즘을 이용한 손가락 정맥 인식 방법)

  • In this paper, a new method for finger vein recognition is proposed. Researchers are recently interested in the finger vein recognition since it is a good way to avoid the forgery in finger prints recognition and the inconveniences in obtaining images of the iris for iris recognition. The vein images are processed to obtain the line shaped vein images through the local histogram equalization and a thinning process. This thinned vein images are processed for matching, using a new matching algorithm, named HS(HeeSung) matching algorithm. This algorithm yields an excellent recognition rate when it is applied to the curve-linear images processed through a thinning or an edge detection. In our experiment with the finger vein images, the recognition rate has reached up to 99.20% using this algorithm applied to 650finger vein images(130person ${\times}$ 5images each). It takes only about 60 milliseconds to match one pair of images.

A Study on the Changes in the urban structure of Pyongyang-Bu and the characteristics of Pyeong-an Gamyeong in the late Joseon Dynasty (조선 후기 평양부(平壤府)의 도시구조 변화와 평안감영의 특성)

  • This study aims to examine the changes in Pyongyang-bu during the late Joseon period and Pyeong-an Gamyeong through gazetteer, pictiroal maps and various literature. The results are as follows. To begin with, unlike other gamyeong, Pyongyang-bu had an exclusive government office facility from the beginning and had a different status because of the route for envoys from Ming. Therefore historical sites related to Gija were important. Second, the importance of Pyongyang city-wall increased even more through the Japanese Hideyoshi invasions in 1592 and the Manchu Invasion in 1636. However, since the post-war restoration was insufficient they focused on defense reducing the size of Pyongyang city wall. Third, as society stabilized, Pyongyangbu's finances were greatly secured. King Sukjong systematically reorganized Pyongyang city wall and facility of Pyongy-an gamyeong. The nothern wall in located high place, Gamyeong and storage in middle height and military force and guesthouse in the center of Pyongyang-bu. I-a and warehouse facilities in the far south were placed around the Daedonggwan. The urban structure that runs from Daedonggwan to Daedongmun was the same as other city. Another pertinent point is Pyeong-an gamyeong had more military facilities and rear garden and pavilion than before. In clunclusion, Pyeong-an gamyeong did not pass through three gates, but only through two gates. And it was characterized by more various space and having more pavilions than other gamyeong.

Quantification and Physicochemical Properties of Grape Seed Lipids (포도씨 지방질의 분획정량과 이화학적 특성)

  • This study was carried out to analyse the nutrient composition of grape seeds and to assess as a plant oil source. Mean values of nutrient contents were as follows: moisture 10.1%, crude protein 11.7%, crude fat 29.7%, crude ash 2.53%, total sugar 4.38 ${\mu}g/mg$, and reducing sugar 3.96 ${\mu}g/mg$. Linoleic acid was the most prominent fatty acid, showing 66.15%, and followed by oleic acid > palmitic acid > stearic acid. Mean contents of neutral-, glyco-and phospholipids were 85.4%, 6.50%, and 8.06%, respectively. Mean saponification value of crude fat was 187.5, showing elevated value than that of perilla oil. Antioxidative capacity of grape seed oil was marked by 12 and 50% higher values than those of perilla or sesame oils. Regardless of storage conditions, grape seed oil showed more lowered P.O.V than perilla and sesame oils. P.O.V of grape seed oil treated at $150^{\circ}C$ showed a lower value than those of perilla and sesame oils. The stability against oxidation may be related with the antioxidant substances contained in the grape seeds.

A Study on the Classification of Hand-written Korean Character Types using Hough Transform (Hough Transform을 이용한 한글 필기체 형식 분류에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, an alagorithm with six types of classification is suggested for the recognition system of hand-written Korean characters. After thinning process and truncating process for noise redection. The input images are used generalized by $64\times64$ size. The six type classification is composed of preliminary and secondary classification process by using the learning algoritm of multi-layer perceptron. Subblock Hough transform is used as local feature and sampling Hough transform is used as global feature. Experiment is conducted for 1800 characters which is written 31 times per each type by 10 persons. The 90% recognition rate is resulted by the preliminary classification of detection the final consonant and by the secondary classification of detecting the vowels.

Quality Characteristics and Antioxidant Effect of Sugar Preserved Wild Peach (Prunus persica L.) Juice by Enzymatic Treatment (효소 처리에 따른 야생복숭아(Prunus persica L.) 당절임액의 품질 특성 및 항산화 효과)

  • This study was to investigate the effects of enzyme on quality characteristics and antioxidant activities of wild peach (Prunus persica L.) juice. pH levels and S.S (soluble solid) values in all samples ranged from 3.86 to 4.13 and from 48.0 to $55.0^{\circ}Brix$, respectively. The TA (total acidity) values of control (not treatment enzyme) were higher than those of the others. The highest 'L', 'a' and 'b' values were observed on PWP (preserved wild peach (Prunus persica L.) juice of cellulase/pectinase (1:1, w/w) sample. Glucose (26.65 g/100 g) and fructose (17.42 g/100 g) in PWP product were determined, however sucrose and maltose were not detected. The predominating organic acid components analyzed in PWP sample were tartaric (32.36 g/100 g) and lactc acids (209.34 g/100 g), whereas citric acid, acetic acid and malic acid were not detected. Higher scores for taste, flavor, color and overall acceptance were found for PWP products compared to other samples. The total phenolic content (13.31 mg GAE/mg dry weight) analyzed using Folin-Ciocalteu's reagent, of PWP sample was higher than those of the others and the total flavonoid concentrations were also 10.95 mg CE/mg dry weight. The DPPH radical scavenging and ABTS radical scavenging activities in all samples ranged from 55.16 to 74.29% and from 39.59 to 82.79%, respectively. The antioxidant activities were affected by addition of enzyme. These results indicate that the use of the mixture of cellulase and pectinase could increase the quality, and antioxidant potentials of sugar preserved wild peach (Prunus persica L.) juice by enzymatic treatment.
