화상회의 Simulator를 이용한 통신 품질의 감성공학적 평가

  • 본 연구는 고객 지향적 통시서비스 품질기준 정립을 위한 기초연구 과제로서 크게 통신 고객의 감 성파악 및 감성실험 부분으로 이루어졌다. 우선, 전형적 감성공학적 접근법에 의해 화상회의 시스템 을 사용할 때 느낄 수 있는 206개의 감성어휘가 추출되었으며 이를 어의적 기준과 상대적인 중요도를 기준으로 하여 10개의 주요 감성으로 정리하였다. 사용자의 불만사항 등으로부터 감성실험을 위한 설계변수를 추출하였으며 실험환경 구축을 위한 simulator가 구성되었다. 실험은 음성지연, 음성에코, 화면의 초당 프레임수 그리고 통화주제를 인자로 하는 2$^{4}$요인배치법에 의해 실시되었으며 16명의 피실험자와 Magnitude Estimation방법을 이용하여 파악된 각 감성이 주관적으로 평가되었다. 분산분석 결과, 음성지연은 모든 주요 감성들에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 화상프레임 수는 거리감과 안정성을 제외한 모든 사용자 감성에 주인자로 작용하였다. 또한 요인분석을 실시한 결과 동적인 요인과 정적인 요인으로 전체 감성을 구분지을 수 있었으며 속도감과 깨끗함이 각각을 대표하는 감성으로 나타났다. 주관적이고 복합적인 통신 사용자의 여러 감성을 단일 품질 평가지수로 나타내어 통신소비자의 시스템 선호도 평가에 사용할 수 있는 방법이 제안되었다.

A Classification of Port Similarity in Container Carriers' Perspectives (컨테이너 선사의 유사 항만군 분류에 관한 연구)

  • The number of calling ports has been decreased and the degree of inter- and intra-port competition has been increased, which is caused by the market trends that shipping liners have and operate their own terminals, strategic M & A frequency occurs among shipping liners, and container vessel size is increasing. The trends also cause shipping liners to change the evaluation factors for decision to call a particular port such as port preference, potential for growth, port competitiveness, etc. Since the decision of liners greatly influences the policies for port and terminal development, it is worth having interest in the evaluation factors. Therefore, this work intended to evaluate 8 major ports (Port of Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Busan, Rotterdam, Kaoshing, and Tokyo) with regard to liners' evaluation factors (calling port preference, potential for growth and port competitiveness) and to classify ports by similarity of evaluation factors with the methodologies of ANOVA analysis and Duncan test. The result shows implication for liners' viewpoint to evaluate major ports in the world.

Development of the Human Satisfaction Dimension for Customer-Oriented Quality Evaluation of Shoes (제화류의 고객지향적 품질평가를 위한 감성만족도 요소 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Although consumer needs for better products force manufactures to put emphasis on design, often development of a product has been done without the formal phase to consider human needs. In order to identify the implicit needs of customers and the areas of potential demand on a product, several analysis scheme such as QFD(quality function deployment) has been developed. For this, first of all, the methods for evaluating consumers satisfaction about their needs must be determined. However there were only few systematic methods on shoe design. In this paper we developed an innovative framework for human satisfaction evaluation of shoes. As a result, we uncovered 29 dominant human satisfaction dimensions for customer-oriented quality evaluation of a comfortable shoes. Here, 29 satisfaction dimensions were identified as the dimensions that represent the human sensitivity and psychological feeling on comfortable shoes. This study helped the designers and developers clarify the conceptual and abstract aspect of the design evaluation by proposing a more systematic and process-oriented method.

Analysis of Deep Learning-Based Pedestrian Environment Assessment Factors Using Urban Street View Images (도시 스트리트뷰 영상을 이용한 딥러닝 기반 보행환경 평가 요소 분석)

  • Recently, as the importance of walking in daily life has been emphasized, projects to guarantee walking rights and create a pedestrian environment are being promoted throughout the region. In previous studies, a pedestrian environment assessment was conducted using Jeonju-si road images, and an image comparison pair data set was constructed. However, data sets expressed in numbers have difficulty in generalizing the judgment criteria of pedestrian environment assessors or visually identifying the pedestrian environment preferred by pedestrians. Therefore, this study proposes a method to interpret the results of the pedestrian environment assessment through data visualization by building a web application. According to the semantic segmentation result of analyzing the walking environment components that affect pedestrian environment assessors, it was confirmed that pedestrians did not prefer environments with a lot of "earth" and "grass," and preferred environments with "signboards" and "sidewalks." The proposed study is expected to identify and analyze the results randomly selected by participants in the future pedestrian environment evaluation, and believed that more improved accuracy can be obtained by pre-processing the data purification process.

Influence of Empathy, Aggression, Self-Esteem on Social Preference and Social Impact in Preschoolers (유아의 사회적 선호도 및 영향력과 공감능력, 공격성 및 자아존중감의 관련성)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of empathy, aggression, and self-esteem on social preference and social impact in preschoolers. Methods: The participants were 307 five year olds who were recruited from day care centers and preschools located in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. Social preference and social impact was measured with peer nominations. Empathy and aggression were measured by teacher ratings. Moreover, self-esteem was asessed using self-reports. The data was analysed using Pearson correlation and hierarchial regression. Results: Findings indicate that social preference is associated with empathy, however, social impact was associated with physical as well as relational aggression. Conclusion/Implications: The findings suggest that the practice of physical and relational aggression may be related with peer status as early as preschool.

Image Quality Assessment Model of Natural Scene Based on Normal Distribution Analysis (일반 장면의 정규분포 분석을 기반으로 한 화질 측정 모형)

  • In this research, we specify the image consumers' preferred image quality ranges based on objective image quality evaluation factors and follow a method which measures preference of the natural image scenes. In other words, according to No-Reference, we select dynamic range, color, and contrast as factors of image quality measurements. For collecting sample images, we choose the preferred 200 landscapes which have over 30 recommendations by image consumers on the internet photo gallery. According to the scores of three objective factors of image quality measurements, the final expected score which means the image quality preference is measured and its total score is 100 points. In the main test, the actual image sample shows dynamic range 10 stop, LAB mean value L:54.7, A:2.96, B:-15.84, and RSC contrast 376.9. Total 200 image samples' normal distribution z value represents in dynamic range 0.21, LAB mean value L:0.15, A:0.38, B:0.13, and RSC contrast 0.08. In the standard normal distribution table, we can convert the z value as a percentage; dynamic range is 8.32%, LAB mean value is L:5.96%, A:14.8%, B:5.17%, and RSC contrast is 3.19%. And then, we convert the percentage values into the scores of 100; dynamic range is 91.68, LAB mean value is 91.36, and RSC contrast is 96.81. Therefore, we can conclude that the sample image's total mean score is 94.99 based on three objective image quality factors. Throughout our proposed image quality assessment model, we can measure the preference value of natural scenes. Also, we can specify the preferred image quality representation ranges and measure the expected image quality preference.

On the Transmission Quality of Wide-Band Telephony (전화 대역 확장에 따른 통화품질의 변화)

  • 150~7,000Hzd의 확대역 전화를 위한 전화 전송특성 설계지침으로 활용하기 위해, 확대역과 300~3400Hz 의 협대역 전화에 대한 통화품질 평가결과를 비교/분석하였다. 토화품질 평가는, 조정법에 의한 선호 라우드니스 레벨고 ㅏ동가 라우드니스 레벨 조정실험, 그리고 단음절 명료도평가로 구성되었다. 선호 라우드니스 레벨 조정실험의 결과, 협대역과 확대역 음성에 대한 피험자의 선호레벨이 각각 70.7dB 및 68.6dB로 약 2dB의 차이를, 피험자간 분산은 2.12와 6.11로 의미있는 차이를 보였는데, 이것은 음성대역의 확장에 따라 사용자들의분산이 크기 때문에 확대역 전화에서 수화음량 조절기능이 필요함을 증명한 결과이다. 그리고, 협/확대역 조건에서의 100개 단음절에 대한 명료도 실험 결과에서, 전체 명료도 점수간에는 통계적으로 의미있는 차이를 보이지 않았지만 단음절중 3,400Hz이상에서 많은 에너지를 갖는, 파열음 'ㅌ', 파찰음 'ㅈ', 'ㅉ', 'ㅊ', 그리고 마찰음 'ㅅ', 'ㅆ' 으로 시작하는 20개 단음절에 대한 부분명료도에 있어서 협대역과 확대역 조건간에 20%의 명료도 차이를 나타내었다. 또한, 비교 라우드니스 레벨 조정실험의 결과, 협대역과 확대역 사이의 평균 라우드니스 레벨 차이가 약 3.4dB (A)로 나타났는데, 이 결과는 국내 확대역 전화의 수화음량적격 설정에 지침으로 활용할 것이다.

  • This paper deals with Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) of 2.28 Memorial Park in Daegu. The park is located in center of the city. The results and discussions could be used as basic data for urban park planning and design, in CBD. A questionnaire was conducted for 15 days from May 11, to May 26, 2016, and a sample group consisting of 230 on site users. The behavior, satisfaction, and preference of space image, were surveyed. The behavior analysis, satisfaction, and image evaluation questionnaire were derived using previous studies, and reliability, factor analysis and multiple regression analysis were conducted using SPSS. As a result, the items were very reliable, causal factors were extracted, and the variables that affect satisfaction and image preference were able to be identified. In the 2.28 Memorial Park, user satisfaction and image evaluation value were very high in most items. As a result of the assessment, the green-water landscape factors and cleanness factors, which have the greatest influence on satisfaction and preference, should be continuously maintained. Due to the characteristics of the city center parks, the users of the parks also felt environmental problems in the urban areas, so the users assessed noise levels, plant species, and air quality at a low level. Therefore, to solve this, plans such as noise abatement and extension of green space should be ongoing.

Age differences of preference for humanoid AI speakers (얼굴형 인공지능 스피커에 대한 선호의 나이 효과)

  • In this study, we investigated age differences of preference and trust ratings when the appearance of an artificial intelligent speaker resembles a human face. The appearance of the artificial intelligent speaker was presented in seven levels from robot face to human face. In addition, face stimuli were divided into gender (male and female) and age (20s / 60s). Participants evaluated the reliability and likability of each face stimulus on a 7-point scale. The results show that younger adults tend to prefer the face that was halfway between the robot and the human face, while older adults evaluated that the perceived reliability and likability were higher when the stimuli resembled the human face. When asked to choose the most preferred of the four face categories, all participants chose a younger face. However, with additional conditions including emoticon face and empty condition, older adults still preferred human face, while younger adults preferred emoticon face and empty condition. Taken together, older adults are more receptive to human faces than robotic faces in the context of artificial intelligence speakers. Because artificial intelligent speakers can play an important role in the elderly living alone, the present study will be a good reference in the design and development of artificial intelligent speakers for the elderly users.

Coffee extraction temperature, extraction time and drinking temperature on the difference in coffee taste and preference study (커피 추출온도, 추출시간, 음용온도에 따른 맛의 차이 및 선호도 연구)

  • This study examined the effect of 3 evaluation factors(extraction temperature, extraction time and drinking temperature) on the 5 tastes (sour, sweet, malty, salty and bitter) of coffee. the aim of this experiment were threefold: i) to investigate the change of the 5 tastes depending on the each 3 evaluation factor ii) to examine the change of the 5 tastes depending on the extraction time, drinking temperature under fixing the group of extraction temperature iii) to research the preference for the taste of coffee depending on 3 evaluation factors. As a result, in relation to the evaluation factors, significance difference was made at the sour taste. And when extraction temperature was higher and extraction time was longer, the sour taste was felt stronger. To the contrary, when drinking temperature was lower, sour was stronger. When the extraction Temperature group was controlled, the sour and malty taste were stronger. The sour taste was stronger when drinking temperature was lower and delicate flavor was stronger when drinking temperature was higher. High preference was demonstrated at extraction temperature($98^{\circ}C$), extraction time(0 minute), drinking temperature($60^{\circ}C$) and higher malty taste.
