A Study on Determinations of Survey Station in Marine Ecosystems Based by Impact Prediction of Environment Impact Assessment in Coastal Development Projects (연안개발사업 환경영향평가 영향예측 결과에 근거한 해양생태계 조사정점 선정방안에 관한 연구)

  • In case of executing surveys in marine ecosystems, the most important things are scientific selection measures of survey stations that can represent various ecosystems characteristics in subjected areas. The situations show a lot of differences that understand characteristics of marine ecosystems in targeted areas according to selection methods and positions in survey stations. Investigation ranges and station numbers in marine ecosystems are classified according to project characteristics and scales. But, currently a clear divisions or objective standards are not. Therefore, this study tried to provide selection measures of survey station in scientific and objective marine ecosystems through precise analysis among environmental impact statements of coastal development projects until now. In this study, impact scopes of marine ecosystems correspond to physical impact predictions by undertaking projects. Impact ranges were divided into three(physical impact ranges) coastal waters. In case of proposing numbers of survey stations according to this survey ranges, numbers of investigation stations due to minimum survey scopes in targeted projects applied 20~30% of all numbers in survey stations. Number of survey stations due to average investigation scopes within physical impact ranges applied 60~70% of all numbers in investigation stations. Numbers of survey stations due to maximum survey ranges within physical impact scopes applied 10~20% of all numbers in survey stations. So, improvement measures were deducted. Finally, according to prediction ranges in impact of various coastal development projects, several kinds of conclusions are suggested. And, it is thought to be able to use as fundamental database to select investigation stations in marine organisms through this study.

Assessment of Ecological Grade Based on Polychaete Fauna in the Western and Southern Coast of Korea (우리나라 서·남해안에서 출현하는 다모류를 통한 해역의 생태등급 산정)

  • This study examined ecological grade of tidal flats at 59 sites along the west and east coast of Korea from January 1998 to December 2002. Assessment of ecological grade based on 7 headings includes biological and human geographical factors, such as species diversity and richness, utility value of species, possibility of damage and reservation conditions of coastline. Total of 181 species with 37 families of 14 orders were listed in this study. The highest scores (ecological grade I) showed at these five sites, Hagampo in Chungnam, Ui-do and Geomun-do in Jeonnam, Bijin-do and Maemul-do in Gyungnam. Half of thestudy sites belong to ecological grade II and 19 sites showed ecological grade III. Singyeong in Gyeonggi, Janghang in Chungnam, Gyehwado and Gomso in Jeonbuk, Dadepo in Busan were assessed as ecological grade IV. Grade V (the worst) was not found in this study.

  • Rising rate of IT industry in world economy, major countries strengthen IT education. Especially, Owing to SW become significant in IT industry, curriculums of school to enlarge SW education are made in major country. Korea Association of Information Education have studied a new curriculum and suggest a new plan that content of information education classify by 'computer system', 'SW production' and 'fusion activity'. Therefore we study on a curriculum for information of SW production of elementary and middle school. In this paper we firstly suggest object to achieve on information of SW production of elementary and middle school. Next we suggest teaching learning method and evaluation method on them. we expect that the object to achieve on information of SW production we suggest will contribute to develop the curriculum of ICT subject.

  • This paper conducted the study on the electromagnetic and mechanical applicability of CNT-coated glass fiber for wind blades. Large-size wind blade has the serious pending problems to meet the target, such as interfering radar signals, increasing weights, and increasing repair costs. In this paper, we are suggesting the CNT-coated glass fiber in order to overcome these problems. First, the CNTs were strongly coated on the surfaces of glass fiber by suggested coating process, and the CNT-coated glass fiber/epoxy composites were fabricated by Va-RTM process. We designed and fabricated a radar absorbing structure using the CNT-coated glass fiber, which showed over 90% radar absorbing performance between 8.3 and 12.1 GHz frequency. In addition, we confirmed the improvement of mechanical properties on the strength and modulus of tensile, compressive, and in-plane shear.

  • To improve the reliability of a safety assessment using a fire simulation in domestic PBD, the evaluation method of ASET considering the uncertainties of the input parameters and numerical model of fire simulation was carried out. To this end, a cinema and officetel were selected as the representative fire spaces. The main results were as follows. Considering the uncertainty of the heat release rate, which has the greatest effect on the major physical quantities presented in the life safety standard, significant changes in temperature, CO, and visibility occurred. In addition, when the bias factors reflecting the uncertainty of the numerical model were applied, there were no significant changes in temperature and CO concentration. On the other hand, the visibility was increased considerably due to the low prediction performance of smoke concentration in FDS. Finally, the reason why the physical quantity determining the ASET in domestic PBD is mainly visibility was discussed, and the application of uncertainty of the input parameters and numerical model in a fire simulation was suggested for an accurate ASET evaluation.

  • The importance of evaluation of farming performance has been increasing with the progress of farm size and capitalization, and with the introduction of the concept of the 6th industry to agriculture. In this research, ROIC(Return on Invested Capital) tree technique was examined as a new method for analyzing operations performance of supply chain for farm produce. Current practices of production and distribution of blueberry, model crop, were investigated and ROIC tree for blueberry has been set up from the survey of the supply chain. Then, it was simulated with real values collected from the participants in the supply chain and the previous studies using a spreadsheet program. The resulting ROIC value was compared with those of other industries and the conventional performance analysis method. Features of the evaluation technique were identified and it was proposed how to apply it to agricultural field in the future.

  • For the enhancement of ECT reliability on the primary water stress corrosion cracks of nuclear steam generator tubes, of which the occurrence is on the increase, it is important to comprehend the signal characteristics on crack morphology and to select an appropriate probe type. In this paper, the sizing accuracy and the detectability for the inner wall axial cracks of tubes were quantitatively evaluated using the following specimens: the electric discharge machined notches and the corrosion cracks which were developed on the operating steam generator tubes. The difference of eddy current signal characteristics between pancake and axial coil were also Investigated. The results obtained from this study provide a useful information for more precise evaluation on the inner wall axial tracks oi stram generator tubes.

  • 강우가 발생하거나 관개를 함에 따라 농경지의 토양침식물, 잔류 비료나 농약 등의 비점오염원은 지표 및 지하 유출과 함께 거동함으로써 지표수 뿐 아니라 지하수 수질에도 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 특히, 최근 고부가가치 농산물 수요의 증가로 전국적으로 시설재배 농업이 확대되고 있으나 시설재배 내에서의 비점오염원 유출특성에 관한 연구는 미흡하다. 따라서 시설재배 농업과 관행농업의 비점오염원의 거동 및 지하침투 오염부하를 비교 평가하고 비점오염원을 저감하기 위한 적절한 방안 마련이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 시설 및 관행재배 지역의 지하침투 오염부하량을 평가하기 위하여 주변 영향이 배제되어 시설재배와 관행재배의 비교 평가 가능한 포장 및 광역 단위 시험포장을 선정하고 모니터링 시스템을 구축하였다. 먼저 필지 단위와 광역 단위 단위에서의 모니터링 시스템을 설계하고, 수문 및 수질 분석 항목을 설정하였다. 이를 바탕으로 관행재배지에서의 물수지 모니터링을 위하여 기상 및 강우량, 지하수위, 토양수분, 관개 및 배수량을 측정하기 위한 장비를 설치하고, 토양수 및 지하수의 물질 수지 분석을 분석하기 위한 토양수, 지하수, 논담수 등의 수질 샘플망을 구축하였다. 또한 시설재배지에서의 물수지 모니터링을 위하여 기상, 지하수위, 토양수분 및 관개량을 측정하기 위한 장비를 설치하고, 토양수 및 지하수의 물질 수지 분석을 분석하기 위한 토양수, 지하수, 관개용수 등의 수질 샘플망을 구축하였다. 향후 본 시험 포장에 대한 지속적인 모니터링과 샘플링 실시하여 다양한 항목에 대한 조사 및 분석이 이루어진 다면 시설재배지 비점오염원 모니터링 및 정량화 기술개발을 통해 시설재배지에서의 비점오염에 대한 정량적 자료구축이 가능할 것으로 판단되며, 기초적인 자료를 제공함으로써 국내 농업비점오염총량 추정 기술에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • This study was conducted to propose the way to develop and strengthen competitiveness of the Korean paper industry by analysing current competitiveness and the factors which determine and influence it. Delphi method was employed to identify determining factors of international competitiveness of Korean paper industry and evaluate the level of competitiveness. The competitiveness both in the domestic and foreign markets was evaluated by analysing each product market faced by the Korean paper industry in light of each of the determining factors. Based on the Delphi survey results, in order of importance, product quality, manufacturing cost, transportation and storage, timely delivery, supply of raw materials, and marketing were identified as the factors determining international competitiveness. Among them, it was revealed that Korean paper industry has a certain level of competitiveness in the factors such as product quality and timely delivery service while supply of raw materials and manufacturing costs were found to be inferior to overseas manufacturers in both domestic and foreign markets.

Preference Factor Analysis of Greening Plan for Under Space of Elevated Rail Track Considering Cognitive Psychological Characteristics (심리적 인지특성을 고려한 교량하부 녹화유형별 선호요인 분석)

  • This study presents a greening plan for the under space of elevated rail tracks to reducing landscape impairment and improve the streetscape. This study focuses on a section of the Daegu Metro line number 3 that includes a concentration of high-rise apartments and commercial areas. First, different types of planting were categorized for the under space of the elevated rail track, and then images of each planting type were created using a 3D simulation tool to evaluate the visual characteristics. The landscape images and related adjectives were assessed using a survey. As a result, rows of flower trees received the highest evaluation, and 'harmony' was identified as the most important factor affecting the railscape preference. These results can be important data for establishing an efficient greening plan for the under space of elevated rail tracks.
