  • A construction project of Incheon 2nd bridge, which is connected between the Incheon Song-Do New Town and the Incheon International Airport in Young-Jong-Do, have been proposed by the private capital in 1999. But the optimal span width in the bridge main span have not been decided in spite of the three investigations into the feasibility of ship's safe transit in this planned bridge. In this paper, we study the optimal main span width according to the traffic volume in the future traffic and the ship maneuverability of maximum size aspect. The result cf this study, Incheon 2nd bridge main span design is required to design two-way traffic scheme and 1,000m span width, which will satisfy the safe transit from the viewpoint of the traffic volume in the future traffic and the ship maneuverability maximum size.

  • 최근들어 항만건설 및 선박블록 운송의 증가로 대형 부선을 예인하는 예부선과 침몰 선박 인양 및 해상교량공사 등을 위한 해상크레인 운송선단의 통항이 매년 증가 추세에 있다. 우리나라에서 이들 선박의 주 항로는 남해와 서해 연안으로, 이 지역은 도서가 산재해 있고 협수로가 많은 지형적 특성과 연안으로 근접하여 항해 시 강한 조류의 영향을 받으며, 또한 어망과 조업중인 어선들과 많이 조우하게 된다. 특히, 돌발적인 해양 기상적 특징을 포함하고 있다. 이러한 영향에 따라서 이 해역을 통항하는 예부선 및 해상크레인 선단의 조종성능이 크게 저하되어 해양사고의 위험성이 고조되고 있다. 이에 따라서, 이 연구에서는 해상크레인의 연안해역 예항시 안전하게 항해할 수 있는 적절한 조종 방법을 고찰하여 안전운항에 기여하고자 한다.

  • 해상교통관제서비스는 그 수요자인 항해자들의 요구사항을 만족시키는 것이 최우선 과제이다. 본 연구에서는 인청항 VTS를 이용하는 선박들을 대상으로 관제서비스 이용자 만족도 조사를 실시한 결과를 중점적으로 분석하였다. 우선 선박통항량과 항행안전정보 제공의 상관관계를 분석하였고, 그 중 유용한 정보에 어떤 것들이 있는지 알아보았다. 이러한 분석을 토대로 선박 통항량 폭주 시 효율적인 관제서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 관제사의 탄력적 배치 및 고객의 요구에 부응하는 맞춤형 관제정보제공 체제를 구축하여야 한다는 결론을 도출하였다.

  • Since special sea area for traffic safety has been established in 1988, there has been only deep water line for deep draft vessels and no other ships' routeing measure for special sea area on Yeosu Bay. In this work, we suggest several solutions to secure ship's safety and to eliminate dangerous factors which exists in present ship traffic system. Consequently, this work is to propose improved marine traffic system in future.

  • There has been only a deep water route for deep draft vessels without any other routeing system in Yosu Bay despite of the rapid change in ship's size and increase in the traffic volume since the specified area for traffic safety was established in 1988.   • Many electric power cables span the sea in Korean archipelago. Lots of shipping routes were established between the islands in the same area and ships frequently sail under the cable which cross the seas. Sometimes electric power cables were accidently broken by sailing ships and catastrophic damage of island industry followed thereby. If navigators have detailed knowledge about the height of electric power cable, the ship's sailing condition will be greatly improved. But at the present time, navigators have limited data about the electric power cable. Those are the horizontal distance between pylons, the height of pylons and minimum height of electric power cable. This study introduced the calculating methodology to find out the height of cable at any position between pylons. The ship's tracks were recorded and traffic safety was assessed by statistical method in relation to cable height.

  • Globally, several countries with sea are using eco-friendly energy resources through offshore wind power development by overcoming the weak point of the existing power generation method. The sea has the advantage of being able to develop large scale wind farms in wide waters, but the installation of marine structures threatens the safe operation of vessels. Accordingly, a standard guideline for safe navigation by analyzing the mutual effects between ship routes and offshore wind site was presented by the PIANC. Nonetheless, the standard guideline calculated the same safe distance in all situations. Therefore, this study developed a calculation model for an optimal safe distance between ship routes and offshore wind sites by reflecting the ship's maneuvering, encounter situations, environmental force, traffic density, offshore wind power generators, and channel types. As a result of the validation simulation, the developed model showed that the optimal safe distance was secured.

  • To support anti-collision between ship to ship and sea-search and sea-rescue work, ship automatic identification system(AIS) that can both send and receive messages between ship and VTS Traffic control have been adopted. And port control system can control traffic vessel service which is co-operated with AIS. For more efficient traffic vessel service, ship recognition and display system is required to cooperated with AIS. In this paper, we propose ship detection system which is co-operated with AIS by using background estimation based on image processing for on the sea or harbor image extracted from camera. We experiment with on the sea or harbor image extracted from real-time input image from camera. By computer simulation and real world test, the proposed system show more effective to ship monitoring.

  • A huge marine accident causes a loss of valuable lives, property and the serious environmental contamination. In the IMO, active discussions about a potential occurrence possibility of marine accidents and appropriate place(place of refuge) to minimize the damage are being developed as appropriate transferring vessels which has a worry of a secondary marine environmental pollution from a previous marine accident Our country has a great potential et marine accidents due to the foreign vessel in distress because there is a huge vessel traffic amounts of the passage since which locate with in the important navigation connects the Asian region. and North America centering around north Pacific Ocean Also, we need the minimize the secondary damage from accident which occurs in domestic ports as transferring safe쇼 place when it is needed In this paper, analyzed and investigated a designated the place of refuge that analyze foreign cases, and will make a efficient and reasonable investigating plan of interior place of refuge.
