Performance Analysis of an Adaptive Sector System for Terrestrial Station in Ad-hoc Communication System Between Vessels (선박 간 ad-hoc 통신 시스템에서 육상국용 적응 섹터 시스템의 성능 분석)

  • A rapid increase of data amount, used in ship-to-ship transmission of safety and logistics information, ships in the inland sea have trouble transmitting real-time information transmission due to an increase in traffic load caused by data transmitted by land station and offshore ships. In this study, therefore, communication is carried out by adaptively controlling the detailed beam width based on the distribution of offshore ships in land station durable in marine environment. Then after the adaptive sector system enabling real-time communication support between ships concentrated in an inland sea and land station is applied, the performance verification is conducted based on the respective Call Blocking Rates of an omnidirectional antenna, fisted sector system, and adaptive sector system. The performance verification result shows that adaptive sector system has better performance than the fixed sector system as the density of ship, q value, increases, and that the smaller the beam width is, the better performance of adaptive sector system will be.

  • Seakeeping safety module in Korean e-Navigation system is one of the ship remote monitoring services that is employed to ensure the safety of ships by monitoring the ship's real time performance and providing a warning in advance when the abnormal conditions are encountered in seakeeping performance. In general, seakeeping performance has been evaluated by simulating ship motion analysis under specific conditions for its design. However, due to restriction of computation time, it is not realistic to perform simulations to evaluate seakeeping performance under real-time operation conditions. This study aims to introduce a reasonable and faster method to predict a ship's roll motion which is one of the factors used to evaluate a ship's seakeeping performance by using a machine learning-based surrogate model. Through the application of various learning techniques and sampling conditions on training data, it was observed that the difference of roll motion between a given surrogate model and motion analysis was within 1%. Therefore, it can be concluded that this method can be useful to evaluate the seakeeping performance of a ship in real-time operation.

  • 선박 및 선박에 승선하고 있는 인명의 안전을 확보하기 위한 해상인명안전협약(SOLAS)은 전파통신기술 및 항해기술의 비약적인 발전을 반영하기 위하여 이미 2000년에 SOLAS 제V장에 대한 전면개정을 채택하여 여러 가지 항해설비에 대한 성능기준 개정 및 새로운 종류의 항해설비의 설치를 요구한 바 있으며, 그 이후 최근까지도 다양한 항해설비에 대한 여러 가지 새로운 사항들을 논의 중에 있다. 이 자료는 SOLAS에서 요구되는 항해설비와 관련한 국제해사기구(IMO)의 협약 제.개정 절차, 2000년 개정시 새로이 도입된 설비의 소개, IMO의 최근 결정사항 및 현재 논의되고 있는 사항들에 대한 정보를 제공하고자 작성되었다.

  • 수치 계산으로 고속 활주선의 저항 성능을 평가하기 위해서는 활주 상태에서의 항주자세 예측이 무엇보다도 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 항주자세의 변화가 큰 고속 활주선의 경우에는 활주 자세에 따라 선저 바닥면에서 나타나는 압력 변화에 의한 동적 부양력 변화가 크므로 단순히 정지 중 흘수를 기준으로 계산되어진 유체력으로 항주자세를 예측하기 보다는 자세 변화에 따른 동적 부양력의 변화와 이에 의한 자세 변화를 반복 계산을 통해 수렴시키는 것이 요구되어진다. 본 연구에서는 선형화된 자유수면 조건의 포텐셜 수치 계산으로 유체 동압력인 부양력을 계산해내고 이를 유체 정역학적 힘으로 간주하여 부력과 선체중량과의 힘과 트림 모멘트 평형 관계를 만족시키는 방법으로 반복적인 계산을 통해 수렴된 활주 자세를 얻어내었다.

자율운항선박 원격제어 시스템 구현을 위한 실험선 데이터 수집현황

  • 자율운항선박 원격제어시스템 구현을 위해 첨단장비와 안전한 시설을 갖추고, 특수목적선 코드를 적용해 감항성능 및 안전성이 매우 우수한 9,196톤의 아시아 최대 실습선인 한나라호를 실험선으로 활용하고 있다. 현재 한나라호와 육상간 원격제어를 위한 H/W 시스템이 설치되었으며, 지난 n항차 동안 통신네트워크 즉, VSAT, LTE, WIFI를 통해 원격제어에 필요한 데이터를 송수신하였다. 본 연구에서는 송수신된 데이터 분석을 통해 한나라호와 육상 간의 원격제어 및 통신네트워크의 문제점 식별하고, 이에 대한 대안방안 등을 제시하고자 한다.

  • To reduce maritime accidents and improve safety for domestic ships, the government has developed and is operating the Korean e-Navigation Service. The ship collision and grounding monitoring service and the route planning service were developed based on the experience of captains and navigators who navigated large ships. However, in Korea, small ships account for a large portion of the users of these services, so there are various difficulties and additional requirements for applying services based on large ships to small ships. To improve this, a data science-based algorithm model using maritime digital traffic information is being developed for small ships, and it is important to evaluate the performance of the developed model and compare its accuracy with existing services. In this study, we propose a performance evaluation method for the developed algorithm model and study how to compare and evaluate its accuracy with existing e-navigation services.

  • A ship runs with various modes of motion due to waves. Among the modes, roll mainly influences on the safety of cargos and crew's fatigue. Therefore a ship equipped with anti-rolling devices are on an increasing trend. In this research, we developed a free running model ship to evaluate the performances of fin stabilizer and moving weight stabilizer. Also those performance tests were carried out through the proposed test procedure.

  • This paper intends to evaluate the seakeeping performance in consideration of nominal speed loss of ships in a seaway. Authors calculate the nominal speed loss in the Sea State of Beaufort Scale 6, 7 & 8 and obtain each response amplitude of ship;s motion by New Strip Method in consideration of them. This study presents some results of the seakeeping performance by the maximum dangerouseness of ships on each sea state.
