  • 최근 통신망과 모바일 디바이스의 급진적인 진화에 맞물려 가전분야의 휴대단말기 산업을 포함하여, 비 IT 분야의 미래 유망산업으로 분류되는 자동차, 의료, 선박, 국방 및 항공기 산업에서도 사용자 단말 및 시스템 내부의 구성요소들에게 이동체 내에서 인터넷과의 끊김 없고 안정적인 통신이 보장되는 서비스를 제공하기 위한 기술들이 요구되고 있다. 이러한 요구에 적절히 대응할 수 있는 기술이 모바일 게이트웨이이며, 최근 멀티홈드(multi-homed) 모바일 게이트웨이를 지원할 수 있는 다양한 기술 표준이 활발히 제정되고 있다. 이에 본 고에서는 모바일 게이트웨이 시장 동향, 끊김 없는 망 연동기술 표준 및 네트워크 이동성 제공 표준 동향에 대해 살펴본다.

Risk Classification of Vessel Navigation System using Correlation Weight of Marine Environment (해양 환경 요소 상관관계 가중치를 이용한 선박 항행 시스템의 위험도 분류)

  • Various algorithms and system development are being required to support the advanced decision making of navigation information support system because of a serious loss of lives and property accidents by officer's error like as carelessness and decision faults. Much of researchers have introduced the techniques about the systems, but they hardly consider environmental factors. In this paper, We collect the context information in order to assess the risk, which is considered the various factor of the sailing ship, then extract the features of knowledge context, which is to apply the weight of correlation coefficients among data in context information. We decide the risk after the extract features through the classification and prediction of context information, and compare the value accuracy of proposed method in order to compare efficiency of the weighted value with the non-weighted value. As a result of experience, we know that the method of weight properties effectively reflect the marine environment because the weight accurate better than the non-weighted.

  • 해양에 설치된 항로표지는 선박의 안전한 항해를 위해 위치 정보를 제공하고, 항로표지에 부착된 센서를 통해 다양한 해양 정보를 수집하고 있다. 하지만 항로표지는 육지와 멀리 떨어진 해상이라는 특수한 작업환경으로 인해 항로표지 유지보수를 위한 많은 시간과 비용이 발생하게 된다. 현재 항로표지에 부착된 센서를 통해 다양한 정보를 수집하고 있지만, 정상 데이터와 비정상 데이터를 구분할 수 있는 정보가 없어 고장진단에 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 항로표지 센서 고장진단을 위해 머신러닝 비지도학습 중 하나인 K-means 알고리즘을 활용하여 정상 데이터와 비정상 데이터로 군집화하였으며, 분류가 잘 되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 향후 연구방향으로는 2개의 클러스터로 구분된 데이터가 실제로 정상 데이터인지, 비정상 데이터인지에 대한 비교·분석이 필요하다.

An Analysis on Competitive Advantage by Types of Vessel between Korea and China in the EU Market (한중 간 조선산업 선종별 경합도 분석)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze competition status of Korean and Chinese vessels in the EU market. To achieve this purpose, this study uses Market Share Index, Export Bias Index, Trade Specialization Index, Export Similarity Index, and Market Share Expansion Ratio-Export Similarity Deepening Ratio as analyzing method. The statistical data used in this study are obtained from the trade statistics for 5 years(2005-2009) produced by Korean International Trade Association. The results of this study show that Korean ships are less competitive than Chinese ones in the EU export market in that Korea does not export various kinds of ships but export some restricted kinds of vessels even in the competitive ship, implying that Korea has been gradually losing its competitiveness. These results suggest that Korea should improve the competitiveness of shipbuilding industry by pursuing such differentiated strategies as exporting high value-added vessels while keeping on maintaining Korea's dominance over its competitive ships to overcome China's competitive advantage in the EU region.

  • Recently, a container shipping volume has increased dramatically and continued on a trend of rapid growth, and so the number of container handled at the port increase. therefore, it's increasing about concern of harbor automatism to save distribution costs in harbor. harbor automatism classifies into four large automatism's, gate automatism by using RFID that trailer come with burdening the container to be loaded on ships go though with RFID and Quay-Side container crane automatism that treats cargos loading on ships and automatism of CG that loads containers from yard, and automatism of container transporters that carries containers in between gates. To increase the using efficiency of harbor, detecting exact location of yard crane is very important matter. In this paper, propose about yard crane automatism applied UWB Location system and the development direction.

  • Anti-Roll Tanks, also called Sloshing Tanks, is a rather common and sometimes an efficient method of limiting the roll angles. The important parameters, when considering using anti-roll tanks, are positioning, size, duct area, flow control device etc. Measurement by the PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) was conducted to investigate the flow characteristics around control damper and inlet area of duct for three kind of inclined angle $(\alpha=0^*,\;10^*\;and\;20^*)$. Flow behaviors such as instantaneous and time-mean velocity vectors are investigated. Furthermore, to reveal boundaries between flowing and stagnant zones and to extract velocity profiles at any selected sections of the lower duct for passive anti-rolling tanks system.

  • The structural model of midship section is within the scope of STEP AP218. It supports to represent the ship structure, but most of shipyards and classification societies exchange the information using 2D drawings at the present. To translate the 2D information into the ship structure model of STEP AP218, we analyze the 2D midship section information of KR-TRAS of Korean Register of shipping, and include the transverse members information with the 3D model. We also define the mapping table and the mapping relationships between two data structures. With this mapping table we develop the translator for the midship section, and visualize the translated ship structure model using a STEP viewer. The ship structure model can be used to exchange information between design departments, and through the lifecycle of design, analysis, and maintenance.

Study on the Vessel Traffic Safety Assessment for Routeing Measures of Offshore Wind Farm (해상풍력발전단지의 대체통항로 통항안전성 평가에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we analysed vessel traffic volume and patterns of traffic flow for ships using areas where included wind farm site and adjacent waters of Daejeong Offshore Wind Farm, and estimated traffic volume by classified navigational routes according to suggestion of rational routeing measures on the basis of classified patterns after installation of offshore wind facilities. Also, we assessed vessel traffic safety for each designed routeing measures on the basis of estimated traffic volume and proposed requisite countermeasures for the safe navigation of ships. With a result of analysing patterns of traffic flow, the current traffic flow was classified by 8 patterns and the annual traffic volume was predicted to 8,975 ships. On the basis of these, expected the vessel traffic volume according to designed four routeing mesaures after installation of wind farm. As result of assessing vessel traffic safety by using powered-vessel collision model of SSPA on the basis of the estimated traffic volume, the value of collision probability was less than safe criteria $10^{-4}$. Thereby we made sure usability of the designed routeing measures for the safe navigation of ships.

Estimating the Behavior Path of Seafarer Involved in Marine Accidents by Hidden Markov Model (은닉 마르코프 모델을 이용한 해양사고에 개입된 선원의 행동경로 추정)

  • The conduct of seafarer is major cause of marine accidents. This study models the behavior of the seafarer based on the Hidden Markov Model (HMM). Additionally, through the path analysis of the behavior estimated by the model, the kind of situations, procedures and errors that may have caused the marine accidents were interpreted. To successfully implement the model, the seafarer behaviors were observed by means of the summarized verdict reports issued by the Korean Maritime Safety Tribunal, and the observed results converted into behavior data suitable for HMM learning through the behavior classification framework based on the SRKBB (Skill-, Rule-, and Knowledge-Based Behavior). As a result of modeling the seafarer behaviors by the type of vessels, it was established that there was a difference between the models, and the possibility of identifying the preferred path of the seafarer behaviors. Through these results, it is expected that the model implementation technique proposed in this study can be applied to the prediction of the behavior of the seafarer as well as contribute to the prioritization of the behavior correction among seafarers, which is necessary for the prevention of marine accidents.
