Wake distribution data of stem flow fields have been accumulated systematically by model tests. If the correlation between geometrical hull information and wake distribution is grasped through the accumulated data, this correlation can be helpful to designing similar ships. In this paper, Neuro-Fuzzy system that is emerging as a new knowledge over a wide range of fields nowadays is tried to estimate the wake distribution on the propeller plan. Neuro-Fuzzy system is well known as one of prospective and representative analysis method for prediction, classification, diagnosis of real complicated world problem, and it is widely applied even in the engineering fields. For this study three-dimensional stern hull forms and nominal wake values from a model test ate structured as processing elements of input and output layer, respectively. The proposed method is proved as an useful technique in ship design by comparing measured wake distribution with predicted wake distribution.

National investment was performed in the research and development of renewable energy because of climate change by air pollution, exhaustion of energy sources, energy security, and so on. Biodiesel fuel of the renewable energy is highlighted as friendly environment energy, it is possible to operate in regular diesel engines when it is blended with invariable ratios without making any changes. Emission factors have been estimated for commercial ship from various research institutes; however, it is difficult to develop emission factors for military vessels. In this work, biodiesel blended fuel emission factors for sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide were quantitatively estimated from propulsive diesel engine installed on naval vessel using fuel property analysis. In addition, exhaust emissions were quantitatively calculated on the basis of fuel consumption rate with biodiesel content by percentage.
It have been known that the probability of accidental happening in towing-barge is higher than that of other merchant vessels. Because the towing-barge is restricted in thier manoeuvring ability due to its towingline. A report from ministry maritime affairs and fisheries said that the rate of collision accident for towing-barge is $40\%$ high than other transport system in sea A number of researches have been carried out to improve the safety policy in the towing-barge sen transportation system by the gorvernment This study examined the safety status in domestic towing-barge sen transportation system The registration status, safety operational policy and post accidental data were also examined. A survey research of experts relating to towing-barge operation also was carried out to find the detailed of safety status. This study would be applicable to set up safety policy for towing-barge marine transportation system.

This study proposes a statistical procedure for analyzing container ship operation data that can help determine fuel consumption patterns. We first investigate the features that affect fuel consumption and develop the prediction model to find current fuel consumption. The ship data can be divided into two-type data. One set of operation data includes sea route, voyage information, longitudinal water speed, longitudinal ground speed, and wind, the other includes machinery data such as engine power, rpm, fuel consumption, temperature, and pressure. In this study, we separate the effects of external force on ships according to Beaufort Scale and apply a partial least squares regression to develop a prediction model.

KAERI has developed DUPIC nuclear fuel with the refabrication of spent PWR fuel discharged from domestic nuclear power plant by a dry process at M6 hot-cell in IMEF To verify the performance of DUPIC nuclear fuel, irradiation test at the operating conditions of commercial power plant is essential. Since the HANARO research reactor of KAERI does not have fuel test loop(FTL) for irradiating nuclear fuel under high temperature and high pressure conditions, DUPIC fuel cannot be irradiated in the FTL of HANARO. In the 13-th PRM among Korea, Canada, USA and IAEA, AECL proposed that KAERI fabricated DUPIC fuel can be irradiated in the FTL of the NRU research reactor without charge of neutrons. The transportation quantity of DUPIC fuel to Canada is 10 elements(about 6kg). This transportation package is classified as the 7-th class according to "recommendation on the transport of dangerous goods" made by the United Nations. In case of air shipment, until now, there is no proper air transportation cask for DUPIC fuel. In case of sea transportation is possible but requires very high cost.high cost.

As the international standardization of 5G element technologies (e.g., 5G vertical satellite, direct communication functions between 5G NR (New Radio)-based devices) required not only in 5G verticals but also in autonomous navigation services is currently underway, it is expected to be utilized for autonomous navigation services while utilizing the economic size advantages of the scale of international standard-based solutions through 3GPP international standardization of marine communication services related to autonomous navigation vessels. In order to establish the ecosystem of ICT convergence market related to autonomous navigation vessels and to preoccupy core communication technology based on international standards, it is necessary to develop digital communication systems and gateways that have global compatibility, (2) secure core element technology based on next generation communication, and (3) promote international standardization for internationalization of related technologies. For this, data analysis and standard technology should be developed through service analysis by distance. Currently, the requirements for the operation of autonomous navigation vessels can be classified into three categories.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate port use and the distribution of risk factors in 15 major ports in Korea, delineating the risk of each port after classifying the ports into four risk groups based on estimated risks. The placement of response vessels is then analyzed accordingly. Based on the results, danger was estimated to be especially high in ports where large-scale petrochemical facilities are located, such as Yeosu Gwangyang ports (1.85), Ulsan port (1.33) and Daesan port (1.25). The ports showing the next highest degree of danger were Pusan (0.95) and Incheon (0.83), which have significant vessel traffic, followed by Mokpo (0.71) and Jeju (0.49), which expanded their port facilities recently and saw an increase in large vessel traffic. Next is Masan (0.44), for which many fishing permits in the vicinity. When the relative ratios of each port were graded based on the Yeosu Gwangyang Ports, which showed the highest risk values, and risk groups were classified into four levels, the highest risk groups were Yeosu Gwangyang, Ulsan, Daesan and Pusan, with Incheon, Mokpo, Jeju, and Masan following. Pyeongtaek Dangjin, Pohang, Gunsan, and Donghae Mukho were in the mid-range danger group, and the low risk groups were Samcheonpo, Okgye, and Changsungpo. Among these, all response vessel placement ports specified by current law were above the mid-range risk groups. However, we can see that ports newly included in mid-range risk group, such as Mokpo, Jeju, and Donghae Mukho, were excluded from the pollution response vessel placement system. Therefore, to prepare for marine pollution accidents these three ports should be designated as additional response vessel placement ports.

A gigantic ship is constructed by assembling various types of ship blocks, each block being made by cutting and piecing the steel-plates together. The steel-plate piling process as the initial stage of ship construction sorts and manages the steel-plates according to the ship blocks that the steel-plates are used to make. The steel-plate piling process poses some problems such as process delay due to piling errors, safety vulnerability due to the handling of extra heavy-weight objects, and the uncertainty of work plan due to lack of information management in the pile spaces. We constructed a steel-plate piling process system based on the context-aware computing to resolve such problems. We built simulation system that can simulate the piling process and then established a smart space within the system by using tags, sensors and a real-time location system in order to collect context information. Workers receive an appropriate or intelligent service from the system.
With the development of artificial intelligence, artificial intelligence is being introduced to automate systems throughout the industry. In the maritime industry, artificial intelligence is being applied step by step, through the paradigm of autonomous ships. In line with this trend, ABS and DNV have published guidelines for autonomous vessels. However, there is a possibility that the risk of artificial intelligence has not been sufficiently considered, as the classification guidelines describe the requirements from the perspective of ship operation and marine service. Thus in this study, using the standards established by the ISO/ IEC JTC1/SC42 artificial intelligence division, classification requirements are classified as the causes of risk, and a measure that can evaluate risks through the combination of risk causes and artificial intelligence metrics want to use. Through the combination of the risk causes of artificial intelligence proposed in this study and the characteristics to evaluate them, it is thought that it will be beneficial in defining and identifying the risks arising from the introduction of artificial intelligence into the marine system. It is expected that it will enable the creation of more detailed and specific safety requirements for autonomous ships.
