Abnormal Situation Analysis of Railway Point Machine Using Data Cube and OLAP (Data cube와 OLAP기법을 이용한 철도 선로전환기의 이상상황 분석)

  • 선로전환기는 분기기에서 철도의 궤도를 변경하는 핵심장치 중 하나로서, 해당 부품의 고장은 열차사고에 직접적인 영향을 미친다. 현재 철도 현장에서는 관리자가 모니터링 시스템을 통해 선로전환기의 장애 및 이상상황을 감시하고 지침서에 따라 관리를 수행한다. 본 논문에서는 실제 현장에서 발생하는 대규모의 선로전환기 이상상황 데이터를 대상으로 빅 데이터 해석학적 입장에서 심층 분석이 가능한 새로운 철도 유지보수 분석 시스템의 프로토타입을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 첫째, 유지관리시스템에 저장된 선로전환기 데이터와 이상상황 데이터를 정규화하고 추출하여 베이스 테이블을 생성한다. 둘째, 베이스 테이블 상의 속성들을 스타 스키마로 설계하여 철도 유지보수 큐브로 구축한다. 마지막으로, 매핑된 철도 유지보수 큐브와 오라클에서 제공하는 AWM을 활용해 다차원적이고 심층적인 OLAP(On-Line Analytical Processing) 분석이 가능하다.

  • 최근 철도는 다양한 분야에서 사용됨에 따라 그 중요성이 점차 증가하고 있다. 따라서 철도의 안전한 주행을 위하여 철도를 구성하는 요소 관리 역시 중요하다. 철도를 구성하는 요소 중 열차의 진행 방향을 결정하는 선로전환기의 비정상 상황 탐지는 열차의 탈선 등과 같은 대형 사고를 예방하기 위해 매우 중요한 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 Fast Shapelets 알고리즘을 이용하여 선로전환기의 전류 패턴을 분류할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 실험 결과, Fast Shapelets 알고리즘을 이용하여 선로전환기의 전류 패턴들을 자동으로 분류할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문은 듀얼듀플렉스구조로 설계된 한국형고속철도 열차제어시스템의 전자연동장치 선로전환기제어모듈에 대하여 안전성활동 체계에 따라 위험원을 도출하고 분석하여 선로전환기제어모듈에 대한 위험측고장률을 예측하였다. 시스템으로 인해 발생할 수 있는 리스크를 분석하여 리스크를 완화하기 위한 안전대책의 수준인 안전무결성레벨에서 제시하는 정량적인 기준을 만족하기 위한 위험측고장률예측을 선로전환기 제어모듈을 대상으로 연구하였다.

  • An electric point-machine which changes over a turnout so that it enables a train to be operated in the routine that a train is to proceed has been installed and used in most of the railways such as not only urban railways but also main-line railways. Most of the maintenance works in this electric point-machine is that the maintenance workers manually measure motor power, control power and display power in the site with the use of portable counters. Especially in case of NS or NS-AM electric point machine, the maintenance cycle is so frequent that during the operation casualty accidents caused by carelessness occurs as well as more staff is required for this measurement. In this paper we propose a system for monitoring the state of electric point machine installed in the site to improve maintenance efficiency and it is expected that this monitoring system confirms any measured values on electric point machines in real-time and improves maintenance efficiency.

  • In this thesis, the effect of switch maintenance improvement is confirmed after testing and operating the switch monitoring system that were researched and developed originally in order to improve method of electric switch maintenance. However, as in an automatic interlocking station where a ground crew was not placed, repair and inspection could not be carried out until the maintenance person comes in case of switch problems or maintenance. In order to improve this issue, control module was installed in a monitoring system which can communicate through a data radio to a remote computer. Thus, the monitoring device can receive control information which a remote computer commands during the operation of switches. Afterward, it shows information on the real-time status of swith, in particular, anomaly situation through user interface after the switch is operated. By improving performance of the monitoring system in this way which can be managed and controled at a remote place, the prompt countermeasure system in case of disruption will be built and as a result, efficiency and convenience of maintenance improvement will be expected to increase.

  • The electric point machine, which is used for the control of the turnout used to change the track of the train, is very important in the railway system. Various wired and wireless real-time monitoring systems are used to check the status of the point machine, but there is a possibility of malfunction due to sensor or network error. In this paper, a redundant monitoring system was designed that incorporates the point machine monitoring system and the CCTV camera control system to double check the operation of the point machine. In the point machine monitoring system, the operating state of the railway converter is monitored, alarmed and transmitted over the network. The CCTV camera control system, which received this information, was required to record the status of the turnout and the point machine in question and send it to the administrator. The manager of the railway line can check the conversion status of the railway through the monitoring screen for the railway line switcher first, and then confirm the switching status directly through the CCTV camera image, thereby improving the reliability of the point machine operation. It will also enable the safe and efficient operation of personnel for management. It is expected to contribute to preventing a derailment caused by a malfunction of the point machine.

The Improvement of Electrical Point Machine Wiring Set (선로전환기(NS)의 배선세트 개선)

  • An Electrical Point Machine (NS:New-type Switch), which is equipped and operated at railways in Korea, has been used since the 1960s after being imported from Japan. On the other hand, although the mechanical configuration has improved the position motor control circuit, the electrical connection has not been improved, so NS may have a problem, such as the interlocking system of automatic train operation. In addition, NS is the most vulnerable part in the railway system and a huge train accident may occur due to minor defects. The existing NS wiring set of the circuit controller should be checked only if fixed. Therefore, an excessive inspection time only by a Railroad Signal expert is required. In this paper, the improvement of electrical connection in a NS wiring set, such as the position motor control circuit, was developed and the prototype was installed at Seoul Metro in the distance to go section. The results can be used to help make appropriate adjustments. The improvement of the NS wiring set enhance the maintenance efficiency, passenger service and the stability of the signal system as well as reducing the maintenance cost.

The Site Installation Test of Single-Phase MJ81 Switch Point Machine Localization (단상 MJ81 전기선로전환기 국산품의 현장설치시험)

  • In this paper, we describe the performance results of the field installation test which is required to practicalize the single-phase MJ81 Switch Point Machine. This product has passed the certified test through performance improvement of driving parts in order to use 3 phase MJ81 Switch Point Machine, which is localized by taking over technology from Alstom and Cogifer when constructing Seoul-Busan rapid-transit railway, without change of the electrical equipment at track-side in domestic existing lines which single-phase 220V is used. KRRI and Samsung SDS have localized the single-phase MJ81 Switch Point Machine to improve the speed and safety of the conventional lines through the existing railway technology development project. For practicalization of this, we should, however, verify the performance through not only field installation test in real lines but also interface test with the interlocking. In this paper we verify the practicality of the domestic single-phase MJ81 Switch Point Machine through analysis on the performance result of the field installation test as well as the research contents for this test. Thereby, in Feb 2009 we have received an order from the Korea Rail Network Authority and are currently installing the single-phase MJ81 Switch Point Machine.

  • The control module controlling points has become high-tech. but the introduction of relevant company's inspection intervals and methods, and the adoption of the way which is used in relay interlock system became the cause of a failure by excessive and incorrect maintenance. The Human error in failure recovery process can cause vital accidents including train derailment, the points monitoring system could prevent this problem by monitoring points' operation condition in real time. After conducting the changed inspection intervals that applied the results of the criticality of each failure type, MTBF, MTTR, availability, maintainer's opinion, the work became simplified, and, the failure did not occur for 4 consecutive years in contrast to the previous annual average of 11 failures.

  • 본 논문에서는 단상 MJ81 전기선로전환기 국산화를 위한 구동부의 성능 개선 및 이의 시험에 대한 내용을 기술하고 있다. 한국철도기술연구원 및 삼성 SDS에서는 기존철도기술개발사업을 통해 기존선의 속도 및 안전성 향상을 위해 단상 모터 규격 및 신뢰성 등의 검토를 실시하였으며 국산화 개발의 타당성 검토 및 기능과 성능 규격을 제정하여 이에 따른 시험 절차를 체계화하였다. 또한 이와 병행하여 MJ81형 전기선로전환기에 사용 가능한 단상 220V 모터를 삼성SDS와 공동으로 개발 완료한 후, 종합시험장치에 개발품을 장착하여 총 20만회에 달하는 내구성 시험을 수행하여 성공적으로 성능을 입증하였다.
