  • A firm's competitive capabilities become greater when the firm has a specific knowledge. There are many studies have been examined how to accumulate the firm specific knowledge and to get the competitive capability on the various perspectives. This study suggest that the conceptual framework on the absorptive capability through reviews on the knowledge management theory. And it also suggests that the proposition about the technological capability building process through the in depth case study on a small and medium sized company in a LCD industry. This study found the following major characteristics about the absorptive capability building and knowledge creating process. First, it is required to building an absorptive capability rapidly that the harmony of local capabilities, integrative capabilities, and intensity of effort. And the most important factor is the intensity of effort in a small and medium sized firm with a weak knowledge base. Second, it is required to develop an innovative new product that the utilization of expeditious learning mechanism based on the exploration and exploitation process. Finally, complementary assets are needed to proactive exploration and exploitation. Based on the findings, the theoretical and managerial implications are derives and the further research directions are proposed.

  • 21세기는 삶의 질 향상과 산업의 선진국형으로의 발전, 그리고 생활형태의 자동화, 정보화 등으로 전력수요가 급격히 증가할 것으로 예상되어 이에 대처하고자 765kV 송전선로 건설을 추진하고 있다. 765kV 송전선로는 345kV 송전선로의 약 5배에 해당하는 전력 수송능력을 가지고 있어 국토가 협소하고 발전단지와 수요지가 멀리 떨어져 있는 우리나라에 적합한 설비라 할 수 있다.

  • Power-line communication technology is proposed to identify cables of power distribution systems. It can extend the application area of power-line communication. Distribution line cable circuits have only a limited ability to carry higher frequencies. Typically power transformers in the distribution system prevent propagating the higher frequency carrier signal. The proposed method uses the limited propagation ability to identify the cable. A novel power cable identification system is designed and implemented. The system consists of a transmitter and a receiver with power-line communication module. Some experiments are conducted to verify the theoretical concepts. Also some simulations are done to help and understand the concepts by using Simulink simulator.

  • In this study, the role and function of Edutech, as well as the application and expectations in the field of future vocational competency development, were gathered to define Edutech as a comprehensive working definition. Based on this redefinition of Edutech, this study analyzes Edutech technology trends and examines the level of actual technology applied to education and vocational training based on written interviews with experts, and finds out significant implications from the point of view of vocational training. Finally we propose an Edutech-based Vocational Education and Training Model.

  • To determine the influence of qualification on field and currency, the model is presented that there is the connection between job competence and job fit about the function of qualification. To find out this connection, the study is being done and based on this, a clue of qualification on field and currency is tried to figure out. First, in case of national technical qualification holders in Machinery field, the type of the function of qualification(signal, guide, screen functions) of job competence and job fit shows correlation between them. Second, the job competence and job fit of the owner of national technical qualification in Machinery field is mostly affected by signal function. Thirdly, the mediating effect of job competence on the effect of the function of qualification on job-fit is showed by the types of function of qualification. Guide function does not have any mediation effect, but signal function and screen function have the mediation effect. Especially, out of all, signal function is the most affecting factor of mediating effect. Lastly, the model of the relationship between subordinate factors by types of function of qualification on job competence and job fitis presented.

  • SUGVs (Small Unmanned Ground Vehicles) are being used to conduct dangerous missions, such as EOD (explosive ordinance disposal), counter-terrorism operations, fire extinguishing and fire-fighting reconnaissance, reconnaissance of disaster areas, and surveillance of contact areas. Technology leading countries, the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Israel, have developed and operated various SUGVs for use in the military and civilian fields. The developed system was upgraded further based on additional requirements associated with data collected during the actual operation. The development trends of technology leading countries are an important indicator for the future development of SUGVs. In this study, the development trends and missions of SUGVs operating in the technology leading countries were analyzed. Based on the development trends of SUGVs in these countries, this paper discusses the features and design characteristics needed for the development of SUGVs in future military and civilian domains.
