The purpose of this article is to examine the research trends of 'bibliography' in Korea. By utilizing citation analysis methods, total 1,321 cited references of the 51 articles published by ${\ulcorner}Journal of the Institute of Bibliography{$\lrcorner}$ in 2000 and 2001 are analysed. This analysis is focused on an article's subjects and authors'occupations, the numbers and journal categories of its cited references. Also, this study observes the nationalities and languages of cited references and various items related to authors of cited references. The most of findings of this study are similar to the previous studies. However, it could find that there are minor differences from the existing literatures, in respect to subject areas, the number of cited references and the forms of cited references. In conclusion, this study recommends that bibliographers's collaborative works with related fields such as history and library and information science need to be strengthened, and that qualitative apaches as well as citation analysis methods might be beneficial for further expansion of academic scope of 'bibliography'.

계량서지학이 도서관 정보학 분야에 응용된 지 20년이 지난 지금, 이론 및 실무에 남긴 발전적 기여를 고찰함과 동시에, 컴퓨터를 비롯한 정보기술의 발달로 계량서지학의 가치와 중요성은 한층 더 폭넓게 인지되고 있다. 본 연구는 계량서지학의 개념 정리와 그 특성을 분석함으로써 다양한 이론적 근거 및 장$\cdot$단점을 파악하여 향후 연구방향 설정에 기초를 제시함을 그 목적으로 한다. 문헌구조를 분석하는 군집분석(cluster analysis), 동시인용분석(co-citation analysis), 인용문맥분석 (citation context analysis), 다차원축적기법(multidimensional scaling technique) 등에 대한 최근의 연구 동향 및 추이를 분석함으로써 도서관 실무 혹은 정보시스팀에 계량서지학의 실제 응용을 제시하였다. 아울러, 계량서지학의 3대법칙-Lotka's law, Brandford's law, Zipf's law-의 발달 단계, 상관관계 및 응용분야를 연구함으로써 전반적인 도서관 관리와 이론정보학의 연구방향을 설정하고 있다.

종래에는 중국이나 일본에 관한 연구에 종속되어 부가적인 것으로 취급되어 오던 한국학이 한국의 선진 공업국화와 경제적인 국제 지위의 향상에 힘입 어 한국 연구가 세계적으로 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이제 본고를 통해 서방국 가 중에서는 한국 연구에 가장 앞서 있다고 할 수 있는 미국에서의 한국학 의 발달 과정을 살펴보고 한국학에 종사하는 학자.전문인들의 단체에는 어떤 것이 존재하며, 또한 이들 전문인들의 공식적 커뮤니케이션 경로로서의 1차 학술잡지, 단행본, 총서, 박사학위 논문 등의 현황을 구체적으로 고찰하였다. 또한 한국학을 연구하는 학자.전문인들의 연구의 결실이라고 할수 있는 1차 자료들이 정보의 재생산과 효과적인 정보 활용을 위해 서지적인 통정이 조 직적으로 이루어지고 있는가를 고찰하기 위하여 현존하는 연구안내서, 서지, 그리고 한국관계 자료를 소장하고 있는 미국의 저명한 도서관과 그 도서관 에서 발행하고 있거나 이미 발행한 장소목록 등을 구체적으로 상술하였다. 본 연구를 통해 첫째, 미국에서의 한국학은 한국의 정치, 경제, 사회, 역사등 사회과학 분야에서는 강세를 보이고 있으나, 회화, 조각, 무용, 민속 그리고 종교와 같은 인문과학 분야에서의 한국학은 매우 미미한 것임을 알수 있었 다. 둘째로, 미국의 한국학 관계자료의 서지적 통정면에서는 현행서지와 초 록 서비스는 거의 부재의 상태임이 드러났다. 따라서 한국학 관계자료의 신 속한 접근을 위한 현행서지나 색인서비스가 이루어져야 한다는 것이 밝혀졌 다고 하겠다.

We propose semantic model that is possible to apply for the bibliographic metadata of domestic digital library by analysing bibliographic metadata models like MARC, DC, MODS, JeromeDL's metadata model MarcOnt as the representative case of semantic digital library and FRBR model as the conceptual model.

This research suggests the standard reference needed for constructing the bibliographic descriptive national science citation index(KSCI). There are several types of analysis: the APA style, the MLA style, the Chicago Manual Style, and the Korean major periodical's style in Library and Information Science. The core elements are author, title, and issue. We propose the Author-Date system, and Note and Bibliography form. For citation of books only available online, the URL must be included as a part of the citation along with its record of most recent access, and retrieval.

This study aims to improve bibliographic data of public libraries by linking service data, which are produced out of library service programs. Service data collected from the seven award-winning public libraries were selected and analyzed. A Bibliographic Framework is used for linking bibliographic data and service data. Interfaces are also suggested for the two-way data linking. The results can be used to obtain 1) selective and value-added bibliographic data, 2) bibliographic data updated continuously throughout the lifecycle, 3) structured service data for preservation and sharing, and 4) bibliographic data linked to the additional external linked data.

According to the Library Act enacted in 1963, the national bibliography of Korea has been publishing annually since 1965. Unlike countries around the world that have been promoting the continuous development of national bibliography and service innovation, Korean national bibliography is rarely used due to service degradation and structural problems of data. The national bibliography has great significance as a symbol that reflects a country's knowledge culture, as it is a comprehensive records of publications published domestically or related to the country. This study intends to propose a data construction and operation strategy for improving the Korean national bibliography. To this end, this study (1) analyzes trends and key contents of international guidelines for national bibliography, (2) examines the meanings and sustainability of national bibliography at current information environment, and (3) suggests detailed operational strategies to improve the quality and service of Korean national bibliography. Data was collected and utilized through case studies, interviews with stakeholders including national library staffs, and literature reviews.
