수년전까지만 해도 국내에서는 서지에 관한 관심이 거의 없었다. 그러므로 국내의 경우도 수출만을 전념하고 내수쪽은 관심을 갖지 않았었다. 그러나 근래 국내의 서지에 관한 관심이 고조되고 있으며 대부분이 필요성을 느끼기 시작하고 있다.

The field of bibliometrics and its applications are extensive. This paper deals with firstly the origin and development as well as definition of bibliometrics, secondly the research areas and basic laws in the field, thirdly the various techniques used in bibliometric analyses according to the fundamental bibliometric data : publications. references and citations, and producers of scientific publications, and finally the applications of bibliometric techniques, including those in librarianship and information management, and those in the study of science and scientists.

본 연구에서는 웹 환경에 적합한 서지 기술을 위해 LC에서 개발한 BIBFRAME을 분석하고, BIBFRAME이 개방형 서지 데이터의 생성에 적합한지를 검토하였다. 그리고 BIBFRAME의 등장 배경 및 특징을 FRBR 모형과 비교하였다. 그 결과 BIBRAME은 1)서지 객체의 지적 내용과 물리 매체를 구분하고 있었는데, FRBR의 제1그룹보다 단순한 구조를 지니고 있었다. 2) 인명전거와 주제전거를 포함하는 넓은 개념으로 전거를 정의하고 있었으며, 서지데이터 작성자의 관점과 이용자의 관점을 함께 고려하였다. 3) 다양한 외부 데이터와의 연계 및 개별 도서관에 특화된 데이터를 추가할 수 있는 주석 개념을 도입하였다. BIBFRAME은 MARC 레코드에서 변환하거나 직접적으로 서지데이터를 작성하는 방안이 모두 가능하며, 웹 환경에 적합하다고 판단된다.

피뢰기란 뇌서지 및 개폐서지로 인한 과도적 이상전압으로부터 전력설비의 기기를 보호하는 장치이다. 종래에는 주로 전력시설물을 그 보호대상으로 하고 있었으나 최근에는 건축물의 내부에 사용하는 정보통신기기를 보호하는 기술도 발달하고 있다. 본론에서는 고압기기를 보호대상으로 하는 피뢰기에 대하여 살펴보겠다.

본 논문에서는 차세대 서지 기술 방법인 BIBFRAME의 적용성을 향상하기 위한 사전 연구로, 공공도서관의 서지 데이터 필드를 분석하여 사용빈도가 높은 주요 필드를 선정하고 각 필드별 태그의 의미를 제시한다. 주요 필드 선정은 실제 사용 중인 최신 서지 데이터를 대상으로 분석을 진행하며, 이를 통해 공공도서관의 다양한 KORMARC 서지 데이터 필드 중 BIBFRAME 변환을 위한 주요 데이터 필드를 추출한다.

서지란 line또는 회로를 따라서 전달되며 급속히 증가하고 서서히 감소하는 특성을 지닌 전기적 전류, 전압 또는 전력의 과도파형이다. 비가오거나 번개가 치는 날이면 전기가 끊어지거나 전화가 불통이 되는 경우를 많이 겪게 되고 전등이나 전기기기의 스위치를 켜는 경우 오디오의 음이 찌그러지거나 TV의 화면이 떨리는 것도 경험하게 됩니다.

오래전부터 정보자원, 특히 서지정보에 대한 기술 형식으로 널리 이용되어온 MARC은 급변하는 정보환경에 적응하기 위해 노력하고 있다. MARC은 이미 구축되어 있는 대규모의 정보자원과 포괄성으로 인하여 각종 정보자원에 대한 메타데이터로서 역할을 충분히 수행할수 있으리라 판단된다.

Library of Congress introduced BIBFRAME as a new bibliographic framework to enhance web accessibility of bibliographic records and their integration to Web of data. This study introduces BIBFRAME model and its current status, reviews BIBFRAME classes and properties, and presents a mapping between MARC21 and BIBFRAME. The study aims to help the understanding the deployment of BIBFRAME in bibliographic description. BIBFRAME categorizes bibliographic entities into Work-Instance, and employs RDF/XML and URIs to identify resources and specify semantics of the resources on the Web. It also suggests an Annotation entity to provide additional information produced by users and external organizations. BIBFRAME is significant in that it presents a new paradigm of bibliographic description and expands users' information discovery in the context of Linked Data. Continuous researches are required to support its content model agnostic application to diverse resource type, which may entail a modification of BIBFRAME model and vocabulary. It also calls for guidelines for using the complicated vocabulary in a coherent way.
