This study analyzed the annotations of Taoist literatures in "Haedong-munheon-chongnok", "Gyujang-chongmok", "Nupango" and "Hongssi-dokseorok", which were annotated classified bibliographies compiled in Joseon Dynasty. Based on the analyses, the study explored the perspectives from which the annotations were written since Taoism was considered to be heretical from a Confucian point of view. With respect to writing the annotations of Taoist literatures, it was general that the annotations were written objectively about Taoism, rather than relying on a Confucian perspective. Yet, Hong Seok Ju, who wrote "Hongssi-dokseorok" clearly expressed his opinions about the pros and cons of Taoism. Overall, it would be well appreciated that the annotated bibliographies in Joseon Dynasty retained objectivity in Taoist literatures regarded as heresy at that time.

The purpose of this paper is to identify woodblocks which were engraved in the providences in the mid Chosun dynasty, especially ones engraved under the auspices of Yu Heui-chun(柳希春), but not listed in $\boxDr$Kosachwalyo 攷事撮要$\boxUl$. This could be done by the analyzing $\boxDr$The Diary of Miam 眉巖日記$\boxUl$ written by Yu Heui-chun. It is a book which recorded daily life of eminent scholar and official covering political, social and cultural aspects, books and family matters. There were two categories of books published under the auspices of Yu Heui-chun. One is the books written by his grandfather in law, Choi Bu(崔溥), which were $\boxDr$Keumnamjip 錦南集$\boxUl$ collective works of Choi Bu, and $\boxDr$Pyohaerog 漂海錄$\boxUl$, essays on travelling across China. The other is the books for children, $\boxDr$Sinjeung Yuhap 新增類合$\boxUl$ for teaching characters and $\boxDr$Sog Mong-gu 續蒙求$\boxUl$ for moral education. These woodblocks have to enlisted in the woodblock catalogs. The analysis shows that most of these woodblocks by Yu Heui-chun were not recorded in either of two $\boxDr$Kosachwalyo 攷事撮要$\boxUl$ editions published in 1575 and 1585. In this respect, $\boxDr$The Diary of Miam$\boxUl$ proved itself to be of great significance in terms of bibliography studies.

The writer investigated the academic values of the titles based upon book annotations included in Gunseo-pyogi, or An Annotated Catalog of books written and edited by the goverment. This paper examined various types of evaluative methods adopted in Gunseo-pyogi, and then compare them to the modern general library criteria of book selection. The writer found the fact that the academic qualifies of books listed in Gunseo-pyogi were even more excellent than the modern criteria for good books in the point of level of authors and contents.

The purpose of this study is to compare the books exchange between china and Joseon dynasty. Books, ancient and modern are an essential part to publish, propagate, administer the books which is a matter of grave concern among nations. Also they are the most important information and the symbol of the government power. As a result the rulers had brought many necessary books from China and it is a national policy to govern in Joson dynasty. This study will discuss the introduction of chinese books from the Annals of the Joson Dynasty, especially from the first king of the Joson Dynasty, Yi Seong-gye to the ninth king. At that times, Joson Dynasty had attempted to reign various policies. So many books related with the absolute authority of China. In accordance with the book classification method in ancient china, they are have been categorized. Furthermore, it should have been a important clue to check the influence by being brought many books from China.

The purpose of this these is aiming at making an investigation on the existing local publications which were including woodblock catalogs in the early Choson Dynasty and analysing the bibliographical matters. The overall findings of this study can be summarized as follows : First of all, publications contained in the woodblock catalogs are composed of 1292 titles. With the exclusion of 278 titles duplicated in Yongnamch' aekp'an-gi(221 titles) and Tong-gyongjapki(57 titles), there are one thousand fourteen titles in the woodblock catalogs in Kosach' waryo(989 titles) and Yongnamch' aekp'an-gi (25 titles). Secondly, publications which are included in woodblock catalog and being handed down to the present are composed of 160 titles. Excepting 43 titles which are duplicated in the woodblock catalogs containing Yongnamch' aekp'an-gi(33 titles) and Tong-gyongjapki(10 titles), there exist 117 titles. Thirdly, looking at the publications handed down to the present on the basis of location, 10 titles were published in five areas in Kangwon-do, 45 titles in 17 regions in Kyonsang-do, 33 titles in 10 areas in Cholla-do, 4 titles in 4 different areas in Chungchong-do two different areas in Pyongan-do, 1 titles in one area in Hamgyong-do, the other titles in three regions in Hwanghae-do.

1631년 정두원이 명나라로부터 가져온 네 권의 과학서와 한 편의 보고서 가운데, 치력연기(治曆緣起)라는 책과 서양공헌신위대경소(西洋貢獻神威大鏡疏)가 강화도의 외규장각에 소장되고 있었다. 이 점에 유의하여 강화도 외규장각에 소장되어 있었던 천문학 및 수학 관련 서적을 조사해 보았다. 외규장각 소장 도서의 목록에 해당하는 외규장각형지안(外奎章閣形止案)을 조사하여, 소장 도서의 내역과 소장 상태의 변천을 알아낼 수 있다. 그 결과 서양공헌신위대경소는 1791년 신해박해 때 천주교 서적으로 오인되어 소각되었고, 치력연기는 1866년 병인양요 때 프랑스 해군에 의해 소각되었음을 알 수 있었다. 외규장각에는, Napier의 대수(logarithm)에 관한 아이디어가 반영되어 있는 쟈크 로우(Rho)의 주산(籌算)이란 책이 소장되어 있었고, 조선조 양대 물시계에 관한 보고서인 흠경각영건의궤(欽敬閣營建儀軌)와 보루각중수의궤(報漏閣重修儀軌)가 있었으며, 조선 국왕들이 천문에 관해 작성한 어제 및 어필이 소장되어 있었으며, 천문류초(天文類抄)와 천기대요(天機大要)와 같은 널리 사용되던 천문 및 음양학관련 서적이 소장되어 있었다. 특히, 1866년 프랑스 해군에 의해 약탈되어 현재 프랑스 파리 국가도서관에 소장되어 있는 천상열차분야지도는 숙종석각의 탁본으로 추정된다. 현재 10여 개의 탁본이 국내외에 남아 있으나, 최근 프랑스로부터 반환되게 된 외규장각 도서 내역에 천상열차분야지도가 포함되지 못하였다. 이와 관련하여 약간 토의하고자 한다.

This study is carried out to investigate the printing culture in current Chollanamdo province. Searching the publication in Naju during the Chosun dynasty, 89 titles were found, where publication had begun from early Koryo dynasty. Active Publication was initiated from the era of King Jungjong and many books were published in 16th and 19th centuries. Many Confucian books were published dominantly in the first half of the Chosun dynasty, and collective literature and genealogical records in the later half. In the first half of the dynasty, most of books were published by the order of a king, the officer of province, or an individual, and, in the later half, increasingly collective literature and genealogical records were published by an individual or a family. Also woodblocks were used in the first half of the dynasty, wooden types in the later half.

This corpus-driven research expounded the compilation of the most frequently occurring academic words in the domain of syntax and compared the extracted wordlist with Academic Word List(AWL) of Coxhead(2000) and General Service List(GSL) of West(1953) to examine their distribution and coverage within the syntax corpus. A specialized 546,074 token corpus, composed of widely used must-read syntax textbooks for English education majors, was loaded into and analyzed with AntWordProfiler 1.4.1. Under the parameter of lexical frequency, the analysis identified 288(50.5%) AWL word forms, appeared 16 times or more, as well as 218(38.2%) AWL items, occurred not exceeding 15 times. The analysis also indicated that the coverage of AWL and GSL accounted for 9.19% and 78.92% respectively and the combination of GSL and AWL amounted to 88.11% of all tokens. Given that AWL can be instrumental in serving broad disciplinary needs, this study highlighted the necessity to compile the domain-specific AWL as a lexical repertoire to promote academic literacy and competence.
