  • 본 해설에서는 공기저항을 감소하기 위하여 위에서 열거한 점들을 고려한 공기역학적인 연구를 행함으로써 항력계수를 0.153까지 낮게한 Ford사의 프루우브IV 개발과 그 결과에 대하여 서술하고자 한다. 우선 일반적인 공기역학적 설계를 위한 연구에 대하여 서술하고 풍동실험을 반복한 결과로 보완된 부분에 대하여 설명한후 최종적인 차에 대한 풍동실험 결과를 서술하는 순서로 한다.

Cancelled Predication and Target-Shifting (취소된 서술 행위와 표적 이동)

  • In Kang(2017), Jinho Kang persuasively criticized the attempt of Peter Hanks using his concept of cancelled predication to solve the Frege-Geach problem. According to Kang, Hanks had successfully shown the incoherence of Scott Soames's concept of neutral predication, but if it is true, then Hanks's concept of cancelled predication also falls into the same incoherence. I agree with Kang that Hanks faces the same incoherence, and I think that Hank's answers are unconvincing. As I see, however, it is possible for Hanks to overcome Kang's criticism. In this paper, I will reply to Kang's criticism by using conceptual resources in Hanks's own theory. In particular, the idea is that the final predication is compositionally explained by the type it belongs to without having truth-values because cancelled predication itself gives rise to target-shifting toward the type. By doing so, Hanks can successfully solve the Frege-Geach problem even though he let some remarks about cancelled predication unclear and confusing. In addition, it will be revealed that his notation is misleading as well.

A Study of Teachers' Perception and Status about Descriptive Evaluation in Secondary School Mathematics (중등 수학과 서술형 평가의 현황 분석 연구)

  • In today's secondary school mathematics curriculum, assessment is to be focused on evaluating the student's mathematical thinking rather than finding the correct solution to the problem. A descriptive evaluation method is therefore introduced to the school districts and suggested as an alternative assessment method in K-12 school mathematics. Descriptive evaluation method is widely available for use in schools, but there are barriers to using it since the teachers are forced to use the method by the school districts. In this research, we surveyed 120 secondary school mathematics teachers in Seoul and the surrounding metropolitan area to understand the status and the perception about using descriptive evaluation. The goal of the study was to find and understand the direct implications of using the new assessment method in secondary mathematics classes. The study showed that most of the mathematics teachers used the descriptive assessment method during their regular exam periods which is given twice per semester. Most of the open-ended problems used for descriptive evaluation were medium or high level math questions which were graded by the teachers at least 3 times to ensure objective evaluation. The teachers stated that objectivity in grading, administrative situation, and development of descriptive problems were the difficult barriers in descriptive evaluation. The teachers in the survey also commented that teachers' administrative responsibility should be reduced and that school environment in general should be improved for the new assessment method to become successful. Finally, the study showed that development of more descriptive problems with specific grading guidelines need to be developed for each grade level.

  • 공간 데이터베이스 시스템에서의 질의처리 과정 중 질의 재작성 과정에 의해 다중 블록 질의가 단일 블록으로 변환되면 공간 서술자와 비공간 서술자가 OR와 AND에 의해 연결되어있는 복잡한 CNF가 생성된다. CNF 내의 공간 서술자는 공간연산의 정제단계의 수행 비용이 비공간 연산에 비해 상당히 많이 들기 때문에 비공간 서술자와는 다른 최적화 기법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 공간 서술자가 포함된 복잡한 CNF를 수평적으로 분리하여 질의를 재작성하고 수행순서를 재조정하는 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 원시 CNF를 수행 비용이 상대적으로 적은 전처리 단계의 CNF와 이에 비해 수행비용이 많이 드는 후처리 단계의 CNF로 분리하고 질의를 재작성 한 후 비용 모델에 의거해서 실행 트리를 최적화 한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 기법은 질의 최적화 단계에서 공간연산의 단계별 실행특성을 감안한 효율적인 실행 계획 생성이 가능하다는 장점이 있다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to substantially analyse the patterns of complements considering the aspects of not only syntax but also morphology since the concept of complement has been used as a term to analyse the components of a sentence. However, it cannot be denied that there seemed to be limitations due to the partial explanation or different explanations of the same sentence. Thus, this paper aims at dealing with the close relation between sentential components and suffixes to examine the sentence patterns; subject, predicate, object, complement, and adjunct focusing on the terms of complement which has been seen problematic due to incomplete explanations and different interpretations of the same sentence. Finally, this paper synthesises various opinions of many scholars and integrates them to get explicit and practical patterns of complement of a sentence based on not only syntax but also morphology through close relation between sentential components and morphological suffixes.

An Examination of the Alignment between 2007 Mathematics Curriculum and Constructed-Response Assessment (서술형 평가 문항 분석 : 수학과 교육과정의 성격 및 목표와의 적합성을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how constructive-response questions in regular test was in aligned with the nature and goals of 2007 Curriculum Amendment. For this purpose, data were collected and analysed by using the framework for mathematical task and the cognitive demand of tasks suggested by Smith & Stein(1998) and mathematical proficiency suggested by National Research Council(2001). In particular, it aimed to reveal the overall picture of the level of cognitive demand and the proportion of mathematical proficiency of constructed-response items created by secondary mathematics teachers. The findings from the analysis showed that 70 percent of the constructed-response items were at low-level and the rest at high-level in terms of cognitive demand. Also, the constructed-response assessment focused on conputing (89%), understanding(45%), applying(30%) and least reasoning(17%). Most of the constructed-response items included computing and were algorithmic.

  • 시맨틱 웹의 기반인 온톨로지는 검색, 추론, 지식표현 등 다양한 분야에서 사용하고 있다. 하지만 잘 구성된 온톨로지를 개발하는 것은 시간적, 물질적으로 많은 자원이 소모된다. 온톨로지를 자동으로 구축하면 이러한 소모를 줄일 수 있는 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 자연어처리를 온톨로지 자동 구축에 사용하기 위하여 자연어의 서술부분을 온톨로지의 서술어로 변환할 수 있는 서술어 온톨로지를 제안한다. 그리고 제안된 서술어 온톨로지를 사용하여 자연어 문장의 서술어 부분을 온톨로지의 predicate 로 변환하는 알고리즘을 소개한다. 또한 제안된 온톨로지를 온톨로지 언어인 OWL을 사용하여 구축하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 말단가스의 온도, 압력 그리고 농도가 변화함에 따라 어떻게 자동점화가 일어나는지를 서술하는 chemical kinetic model에 대하여 서술한다. 먼저 자동점화 현상을 화학적으로 modelling하는데 두가지 다른 접근방식에 대해 서술하고 각각 model의 예측치와 실험치와의 상관관계를 알아본 후, 마지막으로 두 model을 비교하여 본다.

  • In this paper, we propose visual Impairment descriptions for MPEG-21 digital item adaptation. The proposed visual impairment descriptions include low vision impairment and color vision deficiency. It is symptom-based description so that the description is systematic enough to sufficiently describe user's any kind of visual impairment characteristics and easy enough to describe for any user with visual impairment. In this paper, we performed some experiments with the proposed description in MPEG-21 digital item adaptation. The experiments showed that the proposed description Is effective to adapt visual resources In digital item for users with visual impairment and to give enhanced visual accessibility to them.

  • The descriptive grade evaluation system is adopting to solve the problems of pre-exiting system that refers to marks and ranks. However, it increases the work load and creates inconsistencies of the grade evaluations due to teachers subjective evaluations. In this Paper, I suggest a grade evaluation system, applying the Fuzzy reasoning on web for teachers to evaluate students more effectively. Teachers can input the results of the accomplishment assessments. It also evaluates with the Fuzzy reasoning to attain the final evaluation of the subjects. The system also creates descriptive evaluation sentences by abstracting some sentences for evaluation utilizing the properties of the Fuzzy reasoning rules.
