Design of Reliable Adaptive Fitter with Fault Tolerance Using DSP (DSP를 이용한 고장허용을 갖는 신뢰 적응 필터 설계)

  • LMS algorithm has been used for plant identifier and noise cancellation. This algorithm has been researched for performance enhancement of filtering. The design and development of a reliable system has been becoming a key issue in industry field because the reliability of a system is considered as an important factor to perform the system's function successfully. And the computing with reliability and fault tolerance is a important factor in the case of aviation, system communication, and nuclear plant. This paper presents design of reliable adaptive filter with fault tolerance. Generally, redundancy is used for reliability. In this case it needs computing or circuit for voting mechanism, or fault detection. Therefore it has simple computing, and practicality for application. And in this paper, reliability of adaptive filter is analyzed. The effectiveness of the proposed adaptive filter is demonstrated to the case studies of plant identifier and noise cancellation by using DSP.

  • This paper presents the method of determining state feedback gains of XPTOS for disk drive servomechanism based BESSEL filter prototype. A typical disk drive actuator can be modeled as second order dynamics for low frequencies. However, the response at higher frequencies shows resonant behavior which cannot be easily modeled. XPTOS consists of the nonlinear control region and the linear control region. In the linear control region, the poles of a second order nominal model of plant must be properly relocated by pole placement technique to attenuate resonant modes at high frequency and to attain minimum time state transition. It is difficult to select position to satisfy this object because velocity feedback gain is subjected to position feedback gain in XPTOS. Here poles of BESSEL filter prototype are selected to determine state feedback gains of XPTOS. Simulation results for disk drive servomechanism using XPTOS having state feedback gains by the proposed method are presented.

  • This paper proposes the effective method of the software based motion control by using lenear, exponential and bell type discrete filters for acceleration and deceleration of servo motors. Recursive filters are designed in discrete time domain which can reduce computation time and vibration of motors due to load disturbance. Also it deals with the method which decides the time constants of filters when a machine tool is driven at rapid, cutting and jog feedrate. Validity of the proposed method is verified by corner cutting experiments.

  • In the near future, military robots are likely to be substituted for military personnel in the field of battle. The power system of a legged robot is considerably more complex than the one used for a land vehicle because of the coordination and stability issues due to the large number of degree of freedom. In this paper, a servovalve-piston combination system for a straight-line motion of robot leg is modeled as three degree of freedom based on double inputs and single output transfer function. The output is the displacement of piston from neutral. The inputs are valve displacement from neutral and arbitrary load force in this system. LQR(Linear Quadratic Regulator) technique is applied in order to achieve robust stability and fast responses of the system. The Kalman filter loop, rejection of disturbance and noise, riccati equation, filter gain matrix, and frequency domain equality are analyzed and designed.

  • 외계행성 탐색시스템의 망원경-카메라 제어 시스템 및 소프트웨어 구성과 관측 유틸리티에 대해 소개한다. 망원경 제어 소프트웨어는 천문 위치보정, 포인팅, 돔 회전 등을 담당하는 PC-TCS 프로그램, 망원경 적경-적위 축 서보 제어를 담당하는 full-closed loop PID 컨트롤 프로그램, 포커서, 필터박스, 돔 셔터, 주경냉각, 온도 모니터 등의 보조 시스템을 제어하는 AUX controls 프로그램으로 구성된다. 카메라 제어 소프트웨어는 모자이크로 구성된 여러 CCD를 각각 독립적으로 제어하는 IC(Instrument Control) 패키지와 이들을 총괄 제어하는 ICS(IC Science) 패키지로 구성되며 망원경과 카메라 소프트웨어의 인터페이스 역할을 하는 TCS Agent 프로그램이 포함된다. 관측 진행을 돕는 유틸리티로서 관측제어 명령어 입력 및 관측 스크립트 구동 기능을 제공하는 OBS Agent 프로그램과 가이드 CCD를 이용한 시상 모니터링 및 자동초점조정 프로그램을 개발하여 활용하고 있다. 각 소프트웨어는 UDP, TCP/IP, RS-232, Redis server 등 다양한 인터페이스를 통하여 서로 통신하며, CCD 영상 자료 전달을 위해 RAM(Random Access Memory) 디스크와 Network File System(NSF)을 이용하고 있다.

  • A realization for EMG signal sensing and vertical control system of robotizing arm is presented in this paper. The system is realized that a fine EMG bio-signals of humans' arm muscle are detected by surface electrode sensor, making a high performance amplifier and filtering, converting analog into digital signal and driving a servomotor for robotizing arm. The system is experimented by monitoring multiple step vertical control angles of robotizing arm corresponding to EMG signals in moving arm muscles. The experimental result are that the vertical control level is measured to around 2 degrees and mean error is 5% approximately.

  • 웹 서비스는 사용자의 요청에 적합한 서비스 제공자의 정보를 제공하여 주는 시스템으로 사용자는 원하는 서비스를 웹 서비스에서 검색, 통합하는 등으로 새로운 서비스를 조합할 수 있다. 이러한 웹 서비스는 다양한 형태의 검색자원을 가질 수 있는데 HERMES는 웹 서비스 시각미디어 검색 시스템의 일종이다. 오늘날의 웹 서비스는 시맨틱 개념을 접목시켜 검색 성능을 향상시키고 정확성을 증대시키기 위해 온톨로지를 주로 활용한다. 시맨틱 개념의 핵심기술인 온톨로지는 단어와 관계들로 구성된 사전으로서 어느 특정분야에 관련된 단어들을 계층적 구조로 표현한 것이다. 본 논문은 온톨로지의 반자동 생성을 위해 Mining Extractor를 구축하여 HERMES를 개선하는 방법을 제안한다. Mining Extractor는 대상 도메인을 필터링하고 도메인간의 계층구조를 파악하여 온톨로지를 구축하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 워드넷(WordNet)과 데이터 마이닝 기법의 연관규칙을 적용하였다.

Performance Improvement of OFDM Receivers by Using Rational Oversampling of the Received Signals (수신신호의 비정수배 과표본화를 이용한 OFDM 수신기의 성능 개선)

  • In this paper, we propose a method to improve the performance of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) receivers by using oversampling the received signals. Demodulation of the received OFDM signals is to detect the amplitude and phase components of the subcarriers. From the oversampled OFDM signals, we can get redundant informations in frequency domain for the data, which are different in phase but the same in amplitude. By using these properties, we can obtain signal to noise ratio (SNR) gain by the oversampling ratio compared to the receivers which sampled with symbol rate. In this paper, we propose oversampled receivers whose oversampling ratio is expanded from integer to general rational number. Through computer simulations, we show the validity of the proposed methods by comparing the performance of the receivers with nonideal band-limiting filters.

  • This paper propose a position-speed controller with an estimator which can estimate states and disturbance. The overall control system consists of two parts: the position-speed controller and an estimator. The Kalman filter applied as state-feedback controller is an optimal state estimator applied to a dynamic system that involves random perturbations and gives a linear, unbiased and minimum error variance recursive algorithm to optimally estimate the unknown state. Therefore, we consider the error problem about the servo system modeling and the measurement noise as a stochastic system and implement a optimal state observer, and enhance the estimate performance of position and speed using that. Using two-degree-of freedom(TDOF) conception, we design the command input response and the closed loop characteristics independently. The servo system is to improve the closed loop characteristics without affecting the command imput response. The characteristics of the closed loop system is improved by suppressing disturbance torque effectively with the disturbance observer using a inverse-transfer matrix. Therefore, the performance of overall position-speed controller is enhanced. Finally, the performance of the proposed controller is exemplified by some simulations and by applying the real servo system.
