Resonant Capacitor On/Off Control of Half-Bridge LLC Converter for High Efficiency Server Power Supply (고효율 서버용 전원 장치를 위한 하프-브리지 LLC 컨버터의 공진 커패시터 온-오프 제어)

  • In this letter, a simple control method of the HB LLC converter with one additional switch and capacitor in the primary side is proposed for wide-input-voltage applications with the hold-up time conditions. At nominal input, since the proposed method enables the HB LLC converter to operate with large transformer magnetizing inductance, it can reduce the conduction and switch turn-off losses in the primary side, which makes a high efficiency. On the other hand, during the hold-up time, since the proposed method increases the resonant capacitance by turning on one additional switch, the HB LLC converter can obtain high voltage gain.

  • This paper suggests one model, which can be monitor and control target system at anytime and anywhere by a WAP and ME based personal cellular phone(Feature phone) and internet connection. The suggesting model tried to overcome constraints of distance and mobility of conventional methods, TCP/IP based remote data monitoring system, which combine PDA and WLAN technologies. For the experiments of suggesting model, the target systems are constructed with individual modules, which need AC or DC power control. The development software for the control and monitor of local system use NI Labview for the easy-programming and confidence. Also, web server use APM setup for the general user. The mobile connection environments of personal cellular phone are programmed by use WML and mHTML language for the general access. Through the experiments, we have showed that suggesting model can overcome constraints of distance and mobility of conventional system.

  • This paper studies the security module for the reliable transmission of the meter reading and the control data between the remote terminals and the upper server-side in smart water grid. The proposed security module was implemented to make it attachable to the remote terminal without security function. In particular, unlike the smart grid of electric field, the low power is considered due to the use of battery power in the smart water grid, and the ARIA-GCM-128 symmetric key method is adopted taking into the account that the damp and constrictive environments by the installed meter location in the underground occur a communication obstacle on building of the large-scale network system. The encryption module of this paper was devised to ensure the safety between the reading data on the terminal and the control data from the upper server, and secure the stability of the remote meter reading system by taking protection against an arbitrary alteration or modification.

  • In this paper, an algorithm of extracting the features of home appliances and automatically building a database to identify home appliances is designed and presented. For the verification, a software library supporting this algorithm is implemented and added to an power management system server, which was already implemented to support real-time monitoring of home appliances' power consumption status and controlling their power. The implemented system consists of a system server and clients, each of which measures the power consumed by a home appliance plugged in it and transmits the information to the server in real-time over a wireless network. Through experiments, it is verified that it is possible to identify any home appliance connected to a specific client.

  • Recently, unmanned facilities have been introduced and operated in a way that reduces the cost and development of IT technology. Although unmanned facilities have advantages in terms of efficiency and economy, they have disadvantages such as failure of unmanned facilities and malfunctions, causing damage to facilities caused by intruders, and information leakage. In addition, it is necessary to visit the person in charge at all times to inspect the unmanned facilities, resulting in management costs. In this paper, we designed a system that checks the status of unmanned surveillance facilities in real time to check and automatically recover problems such as malfunctions, and to notify managers of situations by text messages in real time. The system to be designed consists of an integrated network video server (NVR) that receives and determines information on the operation status of the main equipment such as video, sound, and lighting, and a real-time text message using an SMS server.

  • The paper presents an intelligent space management system for ubiquitous computing. The system is basically a home/office automation system that could control light, electronic key, and home appliances such as TV and audio. On top of these basic capabilities, there are four elegant features in the system. First, we can access the system using either a cellular Phone or using a browser on the PC connected to the Internet, so that we control the system at any time and any place. Second, to provide more human-oriented interface, we integrate voice recognition functionalities into the system. Third, the system supports not only reactive services but also proactive services, based on the regularities of user behavior. Finally, by exploiting embedded technologies, the system could be run on the hardware that has less-processing power and storage. We have implemented the system on the embedded board consisting of StrongARM CPU with 205MHz, 32MB SDRAM, 16MB NOR-type flash memory, and Relay box. Under these hardware platforms, software components such as embedded Linux, HTK voice recognition tools, GoAhead Web Server, and GPIO driver are cooperated to support user-friendly intelligent space.

  • For the reduction of electric energy consumption and its efficient use at homes or buildings, a new work item proposal for new architecture and functional requirements of Energy Saving System (ESS) was proposed to IEC TC 100 and accepted as a new project, IEC PT 62654 in 2009. Recently, the final ballot for publication passed without negative votes and IEC TS 62654 was finally published in August 2012. For the verification of this standard, Prototype of ESS system composed of an ESS server, ESS clients, and portable ESS terminal were especially implemented in parallel with the standardization. Electric Power Control and Management (EPCM) protocol for the communication between ESS server and clients was also implemented, which supports self-configuration of ESS network, power consumption monitoring, remote power control, and additional functions for intelligent energy saving services.

  • 이 논문에서는 투자비용 감소를 위해 라즈베리파이와 아두이노로 구현한 IoT 플러그를 제안한다. 기존 연구에서는 노후화된 시설에 대해 큰 비용이 발생하며, 전력소모량을 측정하는데 오차가 있다. 노후 시설에 대한 투자비용을 줄이기 위해 가격이 저렴한 라즈베리파이와 아두이노를 이용하여 IoT 플러그를 구현한다. 라즈베리파이 상에 서버를 구현하고 사용자와 nodeMCU 사이의 통신을 담당한다. nodeMCU는 릴레이모듈과 스위치에 연결되어 자동/수동으로 전원을 제어할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문은 대용량에 적합한 새로운 DC/DC 컨버터에 관한 것으로써, PFM-SBC(Series-Boost Capacitor) 풀 브리지 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안된 회로는 스위칭 주파수에 따라 직렬 부스트 캐패시터의 전압을 증감하여 출력전압을 제어하는 방식이며, 50% 고정 시비율로 구동하기 때문에 기존 위상천이 풀 브리지 회로에 존재하는 환류 구간이 발생하지 않는다. 또한 넓은 부하 영역에 대해 영전압-스위칭이 보장되므로 효율 및 발열 특성이 우수하며, 출력 인덕터 전류 리플이 작은 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존 컨버터들의 특성을 분석하고, 제안된 회로의 이론적 해석 및 PSIM 모의실험을 수행하며, 이를 실제로 1.2KW급 서버용 전원장치 프로토 타입 제작을 통하여 제안된 SBC 풀 브리지 컨버터의 타당성을 검증한다.

위성광학카메라 원격명령 및 상태정보 시험 소프트웨어 설계

  • 지상시험에서 위성 카메라의 규격에 정의된 모든 원격명령과 상태정보 인터페이스를 확인하고 카메라의 기능 시험을 수행해야 한다. 위성 카메라는 많은 원격명령 및 상태정보 인터페이스를 정의하여 사용하므로 수작업으로 이 모든 인터페이스 및 기능을 시험하는 것은 무리가 있다. 따라서 빠르고, 정확하고, 꼼꼼하게 이를 점검하기 위한 시험 소프트웨어가 필요하다. 시험 소프트웨어는 모든 원격 명령을 카메라에 전송하고, 원격상태정보를 수신하여 명령의 동작여부와 카메라의 상태를 확인한다. 소프트웨어는 명령마다 임의로 파라미터를 세팅할 수 있어 정상적인 명령에 대한 카메라의 동작뿐만 아니라, 비정상 명령에 대한 처리 능력까지 살필 수 있다. 또한 시스템의 메모리에 데이터를 업로드 혹은 다운로드할 때는 데이터의 양이 많기 때문에 소프트웨어는 여러 서브 명령으로 나누어 전송하거나 수신하는 것이 필요하다. 메모리 업로드 다운로드를 위해 소프트웨어는 인터페이스 규격에 맞추어 헤더 정보를 생성하고, 데이터 분석을 위해 별도의 기능을 갖는다. 소프트웨어는 비주얼 C++과 네트워크 기반의 데이터소켓버스를 이용하여 설계하였다. 메인 GUI는 데이터소켓버스를 이용하여 로컬컴퓨터의 서버를 구동하여 카메라를 제어하고 영상데이터를 수신한다. 소프트웨어는 유저가 운용하기 쉽고, 모든 명령과 상태정보 인터페이스를 빠짐없이 점검하기 위해 기능별로 분류하였으며 명령과 연관된 상태정보를 함께 체크할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 시험시 카메라의 상태를 확인하기 위하여 전원상태, 온도, 기본 상태정보를 항상 모니터링하는 기능을 추가적으로 갖는다.
