In this study, the field applicability of the recently constructed multifunctional fishway in Seomunbo, Yeongcheon-si, and Gyeongsangbuk-do were examined. The analysis variables were R/C slab (S1) and R/C+S/C slab (S2), the underground passage standard areas (width × length) were 1.4 m × 0.2 m, 1.4 m × 0.3 m, and 1.4 m × 0.6 m, and the flow velocities were 0.8, 1.2, and 1.6 m/s. As a result of the analysis, the safety of the design of Seomunbo was evaluated. The analysis showed compared to the Seomoon Weir fishway, the maximum stress of S2 decreased by 24 - 32%, the bending moment of the underground passage decreased by 16 - 33%, the maximum stress of the sidewall decreased by 20 - 36%. In addition, the bending moment of the upper slab decreased by 17 - 33%, the maximum stress of the upper slab decreased by 9 - 28%, and the bending moment decreased by 19 - 33%. Complementation was required in the following percentages: 18% and 14% for the maximum stress and bending moment of the underground passage, respectively, 15% and 17% for the maximum sidewall stress and bending moment, respectively, and 11% and 16% for the upper slab maximum stress and bending moment, respectively. The results showed that S2 was superior to that of the Seomoon Weir fishway, and the underground passage size of 1.4 m × 0.3 m was superior to those of 1.4 m × 0.2 m and 1.4 m × 0.6 m, and R/C+S/C slab was superior to that of R/C slab. The findings are expected to be useful for constructing and designing the multifunctional fishway.

In this study we review the representations used for emphasizing the significance and requirement of mathematics in Chinese and Korean mathematics text(算學書). Especially, we study four terms; first 六藝之一(육예지일, one of the six arts), second 伏義(복희, Fuxi) 周公(주공, Zhougong) 孔子(공자, Kongzi) 孔門(공문, Kongmen), third 道(도, dao) (색, ze) 微奧(미오, weiai) 精微(정미, jingwei), forth 經世之實用(경세지실용, usefulness in the real life). Through these representations that can be seen in the many mathematics text, we consider the author's efforts to improve the mathematics.

Out of total 39 documents to research musial theory appearing in the introduction of ancient score and anthology in 19th century, ancient scores including introduction were $\ulcorner$GeumboJeongseon(琴譜精選)$\lrcorner$ $\ulcorner$ChilhyeonGeumbo(七絃琴譜)$\lrcorner$ $\ulcorner$HyeongeumOeumTonglon(玄琴五音統論)$\lrcorner$ $\ulcorner$HyeongaGuebeom(絃歌軌範)$\lrcorner$ and $\ulcorner$JukchwiGeumbo(竹醉琴譜)$\lrcorner$ and anthologies were $\ulcorner$GyobangGayo(敎坊歌謠)$\lrcorner$ $\ulcorner$SeungpyeongGok(昇平曲)$\lrcorner$ $\ulcorner$GagokWollyu(歌曲源流)$\lrcorner$ and $\ulcorner$GeumokChongbu(金玉叢部)$\lrcorner$. The results of this study are summarized as followings ; First, the introduction of ancient score reads that musicians should have inherent character and right mind and harmonious sound exerts influence on human being. It emphasized that the proper expression of music is the stabilized mind and right idea. Second, the introduction of anthology lays stress on proper meaning, that is, lyrics that is not indecent nor loose. It asserted that right lyrics should not be pressing nor frivolous, but rather slow. Lastly, the introduction of both ancient score and anthology commonly present 'recovery of ancient music'. It was confirmed that the ultimate purpose of intellectuals and musicians in 19th century was to aim at slow, but harmonious and right music.

직물은 유연하여 외력에 의해 쉽게 굽힘, 비틀림 등의 변형이 일어난다. 이러한 특성 중 직물의 굽힘은 태, 봉제성, 드레이프성 등의 중요 인자로서 지금까지 여러 연구들이 직물의 구조에 관련하여 굽힘강성을 분석하려는 시도가 계속되어 왔다. 이러한 연구의 최초의 시도로서 1930년대 Peirce가 직물을 선형탄성체로 가정한 후 외팔보법을 적용시켜 굽힘길이로 굽힘강성을 나타내었으며[l] 현재까지도 이 시험법이 시행되어 오고 있다. (중략)

In First-Order Logic the English expressions, 'any', 'every', 'all', and 'each' are treated on a par but have different meanings in the natural language usages. Especially the expression 'any' is typically used only in the negative contexts, which linguists have paid attention to and attempted to provide an adequate explanation of. I shall show that the explanations so far mainly from linguists are not satisfactory and revive the philosophical insights concerning the logical features of 'any' provided by Zeno Vendler in 1962. I shall claim that the expression 'any' has what Vendler calls the 'freedom of choice' as its primary meaning and denotes what Kit Fine calls an 'arbitrary object'. It will be shown that the logical features of 'any' are manifested more evidently in the analysis of the Korean expression 'amwu'. I believe that this analysis has significant philosophical implications. As an instance I shall show that we can take a fresh perspective on the problem which involves the universal generalization rule and the preface paradox.

In this study, the prediction of performances and emissions of the gasoline engine of a light passenger car has been accomplished. The method of characteristics including friction, heat transfer, area change and entropy gradients was used to analyze the flow in the intake and exhaust systems. For in-cylinder calculation, the single-zone model was adopted for the periods of the intake, exhaust, compression and the expansion of the burnt gas and the 2-zone expansion model was applied to the period of combustion process. The simulation program was verified by comparison with the experimental values both for the naturally aspirated engine and the turbocharged engine showing good agreements. Using the simulation program, multi-valve system and turbocharging were examined as a means of increasing engine Performances.

In this study, as a means of increasing engine power, turbocharging was applied to the gasoline engine of a light passenger car which was originally naturally aspirated. Also the catalytic convertor was applied to improve the exhaust emission characteristics. The comparison of the performance characteristics between the burbocharged engine with catalytic convertor and the naturally aspirated engine was made over the wide range of operating conditions. The results showed considerable increase of the output performances at full load condition by trubocharging while slight losses were observed at part load conditions.

온라인상의 쇼핑에서 사용후기에 관한 많은 연구가 진행 중이지만, 사용후기를 보는 원인에 관한 분석에 대해서는 아직 부족함으로 연구를 진행하였다. 온라인상이기 때문에 가지는 위험 중에서도 사용후기를 통해서 어떤 위험을 가장 많이 가지고 있는지에 대해 우선 알아볼 필요성이 있을 것 같다. 이의 연구결과 기능적 위험을 가장 크게 지각하고 있었기 때문에 사용후기를 보는 이유로서의 근거가 될 수 있을 것이다. 둘째, 의류에 관련된 논문들을 보면 온라인상에서 구매를 꺼려하는 이유가 직접 눈으로 보고 만질 수 없다는 기능적 위험을 가장 크게 가지고 있었다. 그렇기 때문에 대리 시용구매를 할 수 있는 사용후기를 이용하여 의류제품을 온라인상에서 구매하는 것이 영향을 미치는 것인지에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 본 연구 결과, 긍정적인 후기를 보고 구매하려는 의도가 나타났었고 부정적인 후기를 보고 구매하지 않으려하므로 사용후기가 구매함에 있어 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로 사용후기를 중심으로 메시지를 보고 메시지에 대한 태도와 제품에 대한 태도, 그리고 구매의도 뿐만 아니라 메시지의 유형에 따라서 구전 의도나 사이트 재방문 의도라는 구매 행동에도 차이가 날 것이라고 추측했다. 연구 결과를 보면 유형별로 각각 다르게 영향을 미치고 있었으며, 부정적인 메시지로 인해 제품에 대한 좋지 않은 태도를 가지게 됨으로써 제품을 구입하려는 사이트 재방문 의도는 나타나지 않았다.

Korean historical constellations and their names are similar to Chinese ones. Although Korean historical astronomy is influenced by China, they have distinct differences in each shape and names of the constellations. We, therefore, compare Bocheonga (步天歌) of the early Joseon dynasty (朝鮮, $1392{\sim}1910$) preserved in Gyujanggark (奎章閣) with that of the Sui dynasty ((隋代, $581{\sim}618$ of China written by Wang Ximing(王希明) in terms of star charts and descriptions of the contents. We find out that the two books are partly different all over the books. First, there are definite differences in preface, three area of constellations (三垣) in the heaven, and the description of the Milky Way. Second, some of constellations show different in shape, the number of stars. Especially connecting pattern in some constellations shows different in each other. Third, Joseon Bocheonga describes their colors for some stars. These mean that Joseon has a unique tradition of star maps unlike Chinese one. We also summarize the differences and distinctive characteristics of Joseon star charts compared with Chinese ones.

The simulation program which predicts the gas behavior in a spark ignition engine has been developed and verified by the comparison with the experimental results foy the MPI engine, naturally aspirated and turbochared engines with a carburettor. First paper describes the calculations of the behavior of gas in the intake and exhaust system. The generalized method of characteristics including friction, heat transfer, area change and entropy gradients was used to analyse the pipe flow The constant-Pressure model was applied for the analysis of the flow through engine valved, and the constant-pressure perfect-mixing model was applied for the flow at manifold junction. The concept of the sudden area change was used for the muffler and catalytic convertor. Fer the plenum chamber in an MPI engine, constant-pressure model and constant-volume model were both examined. Through the comparison of predicted results with experiments, the simulation program was verified by showing good prediction of the behavior of IC engine qualitatively and quantitatively under wide range of operating conditions.
