삶의 질을 구성하는 사회공간적 요소들은 현실 세계의 각 영역들, 즉 물질적, 생태적, 상징적 영역들에 상응하는 입지. 환경, 장소라는 3가지 개념들로 범주화될 수 있다. 이들은 삶의 질의 구체적 내용들, 즉 기본수요에의 접근, 생태적 안전의 보장, 그리고 공동체적 정체성의 확보와 관련된다. 본 논문은 이와 같이 ‘삶의 질’을 위한 공간을 3가지 영역으로 유형화하고, 이의 구체적 지표들을 설정하여, 대구시민들을 대상으로 설문조사한 결과를 분석하였다. 또한 본 논문은 이러한 3가지 사회공간적 요소들을 종합적으로 고려하는 공동체의 개념을 제시하고, 삶의 질을 고양시키기 위한 공동체적 생활정치를 강조한다.

몽골은 역사상 유목 목축업이 성장 발전한 이래 지금까지 5000년 이상 축산업을 주요 산업으로 삼고 있는 지역이다. 몽골인들에게 가축사육은 가장 익숙한 산업으로서 고대사회부터 모든 생활의 기반을 제공하였다. 이것은 가축이 몽골인들의 정치ㆍ사회ㆍ경제 정신의 기초가 되었다는 것을 의미한다. 그러므로 목축은 정치사ㆍ사회생활ㆍ문화발전에 이르기까지 몽골인들의 모든 삶과 밀접한 관계를 가지고 발전해 왔다.(중략)

Generally, regime shift occurs less frequently than policy change and/or government change. Regime shift needs alterations and changes along the three critical components which constitute a domestic regime: (1) the character of the socioeconomic coalition that rules the country; (2) the political and economic institutions through which power is acquired and exercised; and (3) the public policy profile that give political direction to the nation. This paper tries to examine characteristics of the welfare regime of Korea, and explore policy reform options for the welfare regime shift in Korea. From the viewpoint of livelihood security perspective, I firstly tries to examine development process of Korean welfare regime and specify the main characteristics of that regime. Secondly, I present three policy reform options: (1) reform of the formal political institutions such as electoral system and government type; (2) restructuring of the composition of government expenditure structure; and (3) reduction of the informal employment. These three policy reform options are related to the alteration of socioeconomic coalitions and the changes of the political and economic institutions. Instead of concluding remarks, I finally suggest two debate topics to the round table discussion.

‘스스로 변하지 않으면 아무 것도 바꿀 수 없다. 바뀌지 않으면 아무 것도 성취할 수 없다’끊임없는 변화와 발전을 위한 노력이 있어야만 원하는 바를 얻을 수 있다고 확신하는 최기선 인천광역시장의 말이다. 30년 가까이 정치생활을 이끌어 오는 동안 최기선 시장은 무수히 많은 고난과 역경과 마주서야 했다. 그럴 때마다 그는 정직과 성실을 바탕으로 정의를 위해 스스로 헌신하기로 주저하지 않았다. 그리고 3번의 인천시장을 맡아 오는 동안, 정치적 욕심(?) 마저도 뒤로하고 오로지 인천의 발전과 인천시민의 복지를 위해 최선을 다했다. ‘서민에게 힘이 되는 시장’이 되고자 항상 서민의 목소리에 귀 기울이고 서민의 생활에 눈길을 주는 최기선 시장이기에, 인천시민의 압도적인 지지로 민선시장 자리를 계속해서 지키는 일은 당연한 귀결인지도 모르겠다. 서민의 생활안정과 더불어, 인천을 21세기의 첨단 정보 · 관광 · 무역 도시로서 국제의 중심에 우뚝 서게 하겠다는 야무진 계획을 추진하고 있는 최기선 시장이야말로 이시대가 필요로 하는 행정가, 정치인이 아닐까

오늘날의 세계는 정보통신의 발달에 따라 정보화사회로의 이행이 가속화되고 있으며 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화, 기후, 법률, 교통, 생활등 국가전반에 걸쳐 모든 분야에 컴퓨터를 활용한 대변혁이 일고 있다. 즉 세계는 탈공업화 사회로 부터 정보화 사회로 급변해 가고 있으며 정보 및 지식이 사회 운영의 근간이 되는 사회로 도래됨에 따라 컴퓨터는 이미 생활에 없어서는 안될 중요한 도구로 등장하게 되었다.

'최선을 다하는 삶이 아름답다.' 결과도 중요하지만, 충실하게 엮어 가는 과정을 더욱 소중하게 생각하는 유종근 전라북도지사의 생활신조다. 경제학자이자 경제 행정가로서 국제적으로 이름을 날리던 유지사가 정치에 입문한 것은 군부독재에 맞서는 과정에서 자연스럽게 현실정책의 문제, 그리고 정치적인 문제까지 관심을 갖게되면서이다. 그래서 유지사는 도민과 함께 해 온 지난 5년여 동안, 도민의 소득 수준을 전국 상위권으로 향상시키고, 전라북도를 문화ㆍ환경ㆍ복지ㆍ관광 등 모든 분야에서 삶의 질이 앞서가는 퓽요로운 지역, 세계에서 가장 살기 좋은 지역으로 만들기위해 아름다운 최선을 다해 왔다. 도민과 하나된 힘으로 '새천년 새전북인' 운동을 내실있게 추진해 가겠다는 유지사의 확신과 자신감에 찬 모습에서 발전된 전북의 모습이 느껴져 왔다.

동해 남부 연안에 위치한 울산 정자연안은 울산공단으로부터의 폐수와 생활오수 유입 뿐 아니라, 위로 월성 원자력 발전소, 아래로는 고리 원자력 발전소가 위치하고 있어 수질이 점차 악화되고 있는 곳으로서 생물상의 변화가 예상되므로 정치망에 어획되는 어류를 대상으로 종조성 및 양적변동을 밝힐 필요성이 높아졌다. 어류 군집의 구조를 정확히 파악하기 위해서는 정량적인 채집이 이루어져야 한다. (중략)

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the changes of laser doppler flowmeter output associated with stage of root development. Laser Doppler Flowmeter was done in 40 elementary students aged between 7 and 8 years and in 20 adults aged between 23 and 24 years. Among 40 elementary students, 20 had apical foramens with $1{\sim}2mm$ diameters and another 20 had ones with larger diameters than 2mm. The LDF values were analyzed with ANOVA and paired t-test. The results were as follows. 1. Immature root apecies group had a higher tendency than mature root apecies group in LDF values, but there was no statistical significance (p>0.05). 2. There was no statistical significance in LDF values comparing groups with immature root apecies (p>0.05). 3. There were no significant differences between right and left central incisors in LDF values (p>0.05).

The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of North Korea defectors' living experiences in South Korea on their self-perceptions and perceptions of South Korea. For this purpose, a questionnaire was distributed to 66 defectors with no living experiences at all and 99 defectors with living experiences of an average of 2.7 years in South Korea. They were asked to rate their own as well as South Koreans' values, personality, attitudes toward sexual misbehavior, gender stereotypes. Also, they evaluated the society of South Korea and its political control. The results indicated that those defectors with living experiences tended to perceive more negatively their own and South Koreans as well, and yet that they were less negative for sexual misbehavior and weaker for gender stereotypes. Also, results suggested that living experiences led defectors to perceive South Korea in a more negative way. Those findings were discussed in terms of changes in culture.
