Design Improvement Based on the Analysis of Informational Materials for University Hospital Inpatient Hospitalization (대학병원 입원생활 안내문의 현황 분석과 디자인 개선 제안)

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze the current status of hospital life guides in Korean and overseas hospitals, draw problems, and propose a design improvement. in order to improve the visual convenience and efficiency of information delivery of hospital life guidelines. As a result of examining and analyzing the current status of the notice on hospital life in 16 hospitals at home and abroad, problems such as information selection without certain standard, increase of items due to unnecessary items, and forms that do not consider the convenience for notice use were discovered. In order to solve them, this study suggested a survey questionnaire for finding detailed improvements, and it divided the participants into two groups of 50 patients/nurses and 50 nurses in each. The study carried out a user awareness investigation and survey on the efficiency and understanding of information, number and importance of items, and color and form, and then made another sample notice to conduct a detailed survey on color and form. As a result, the study could identify that important items for each users were different. It is considered that a new design with improved visual convenience of users and efficiency of information delivery, by applying layout and graphic elements as well as selecting information that meets consumer demand, will be proposed based on this.

  • 현재 3차원 그래픽 가속기에서 성능 향상에 대한 문제점으로 대두되고 있는 것은 실제 화면에 그려지는 정보가 저장되는 프레임버퍼에 대한 접근 지연이다. 따라서 본 논문은 기존 픽셀 캐쉬가 포함된 래스터라이져 구조에서 캐쉬 읽기 접근 실패 시 발생하는 패널티와 이에 따른 프레임버퍼에 대한 지연이 발생하는 문제점을 개선하고자, 기존 래스터라이져를 래스터라이져와 합성기로 구분하고 그 사이에 캐쉬 읽기 접근 실패 시 프레임 버퍼에서 정보를 읽어오지 않는 깊이 캐쉬와 색상 캐쉬가 쌍을 이룬 픽셀 캐쉬 메모리 시스템으로 구성된 개선된 3차원 그래픽 가속기 구조을 제안하고 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과 제안하는 3차원 그래픽 가속기 구조가 기존 구조에 비해 캐쉬 접근 실패율이 약 $23\%$ 감소하였으며, 평균 메모리 접근 사이클이 $10\%-13\%$ 감소하였으며 이는 상당수의 프레임버퍼에 대한 접근 지연을 감소시킨 것이다. 합성기와 메모리 간의 대역폭은 약 $10\%$ 증가하지만 파이프라인의 작업에는 영향을 미치지는 않는다.

  • Cracks in reinforced concrete structures are the most common type of damage and are used as important analytical data to understand the fracture behavior characteristics of structures. Currently, there is a problem that most of the crack investigation relies on visual inspection, therefore many researchers have proposed image analysis techniques to improve the problem. In this study, we proposed a crack evaluation method to be applied at an indoor experimental level using image analysis method. The image analysis technique using color is for distinguishing a boundary surface between objects existing in an image, and is a method for separating similar colors into one region based on a predefined color. In this study, to improve the accuracy of image analysis, blue paint was applied to the concrete surface and bending experiments were performed. The image analysis method was able to measure the crack width with superior accuracy compared to the crack diameter, and at the same time, it was also possible to analyze the deflection of the beam. Both the crack and deformation were able to confirm the accuracy similar to the existing measurement method, and it was found that the image analysis method was very excellent in terms of applicability.

감귤과피 유색미의 취반 특성

  • 우리나라에서 생산되는 감귤은 지리적 기후 조건으로 내한성이 강한 만다린계 온주밀감이 주종을 이루나 최근 과잉생산으로 인한 가격하락과 수입자유화에 따른 대처의 일환으로 경쟁력이 높은 품종을 장려 보급하고 있다. 감귤의 국내 연간 생산량은 56만 톤으로 과일 전체 생산량의 약 30%를 차지하며 과실의 약 20%가 과피로서 그 일부가 한약재로 쓰이나 대부분이 버려지고 있다. 감귤의 과피에는 carotenoids, bioflavonoids, pectin 및 terpenes가 풍부하게 함유되어 있으며, 천연에서 발견되고 있는 약 300여종의 carotenoids계 색소 중 115종이 감귤에 존재한다. 감귤 과피의 주요 carotenoids로는 비타민 A의 역할을 하는 $\beta$-carotene과 cryptoxanthin을 비롯한 $\beta$-citraurin이며 천연 착색제로 활용되고 있다. 또, 주요 bioflavonoids로는 모세혈관의 수축을 촉진시켜 고혈압 예방과 이로 인한 각종 질환을 방지하는 작용을 가진 hesperidin과 혈액내 LDL 콜레스테롤의 양을 줄이는 작용이 알려진 naringin이 있다. 그 외의 감귤 flavonoids도 항산화작용, antimutagen 활성, 항암, 항알레르기 및 항바이러스 효과가 알려져 있다. 밀감 과피의 bioflavonoids는 약 60여종이 분리되어 그 구조가 밝혀져 있으나 90% 이상이 hesperidin이다. 또 과피유에는 $\delta$-limonene을 주성분으로 하는 휘발성 향미성분이 함유되어 있어 향미 개선제로서의 활용이 기대되고 있다. 본 연구는 최근 식생활의 서구화로 쌀 위주의 식생활에 많은 변화를 가져와 쌀 소비량은 해마다 줄어들고 있는 반면 기능성을 가미한 쌀의 소비가 늘고 있음을 감안하여, 우리나라 제주도에서 생산되고 있는 감귤 과피의 물 균질액을 쌀에 코팅하여 아름다운 색상과 기능성을 지닌 유색미를 제조함과 동시에 그 취반 특성을 조사하였다. 그 결과 유색미의 색상은 진노랑(L*; 63.6, a*; -7.87, b*; 46.35)으로 취반 후에도 유사한 색상을 나타내었다. Total carotenoids는 감귤과피에서는 10.74mg%, 과피의 물 균질액에는 0.46mg%이었으며 유색미에는 0.l2mg%, 유색미 취반에는 0.05mg%를 나타내었다. Hesperidin은 과피, 물 균질액, 유색미 및 유색미 취반에서 각각 2173.l2mg%, 108.65mg%, 21.73mg% 및 8.67mg%이었으며, naringin은 각각 1468.40mg%, 73.38mg%, 14.62mg% 및 5.87mg%를 나타내었다. 감귤과피의 유리아미노산은 asparagine이 94.22mg%로 가장 높았으며, methionine이 24.88mg%, alanine이 19.64mg%, ${\gamma}$ -aminoisobutylic acid가 15.37mg%로 이들 4종의 아미노산이 전체 유리아미노산함량의 70%를 나타내었다. 유색미 취반에는 백미 취반에 비하여 총 유리아미노산의 함량이 15%정도 증가되었으며, 그 중에서 glutamic acid는 2.5 배가 증가되었다. 감귤과피의 주요 무기질은 K(652.60mg%)와 Ca(222.50mg%)로 전체 무기질 함량의 86%를 차지하였으며 유색미 취반은 백미 취반에 비하여 K는 2.3배, Mn는 76%, Ca, P, Mg은 16~26%, Fe는 13%가 각각 증가되었다. 취반의 경도, 점착성 및 깨짐성은 유색미 취반과 백미 취반간에 차이가 없으나 응집성과 탄력성은 유색미 취반에서 높았다. 색상에 대한 기호도, 구수한 맛 및 종합적인 기호도는 유색미 취반에서 높았으며 단맛, 쓴맛은 백미 취반과 차이를 보이지 않았다.

Estimate Saliency map based on Multi Feature Assistance of Learning Algorithm (다중 특징을 지원하는 학습 기반의 saliency map에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose a method for generating improved saliency map by learning multiple features to improve the accuracy and reliability of saliency map which has similar result to human visual perception type. In order to overcome the inaccurate result of reverse selection or partial loss in color based salient area estimation in existing salience map generation, the proposed method generates multi feature data based on learning. The features to be considered in the image are analyzed through the process of distinguishing the color pattern and the region having the specificity in the original image, and the learning data is composed by the combination of the similar protrusion area definition and the specificity area using the LAB color space based color analysis. After combining the training data with the extrinsic information obtained from low level features such as frequency, color, and focus information, we reconstructed the final saliency map to minimize the inaccurate saliency area. For the experiment, we compared the ground truth image with the experimental results and obtained the precision-recall value.

Illumination Mismatch Compensation Algorithm based on Layered Histogram Matching by Using Depth Information (깊이 정보에 따른 레이어별 히스토그램 매칭을 이용한 조명 불일치 보상 기법)

  • In this paper, we implement an efficient histogram-based prefiltering to compensate the illumination mismatches in regions between neighboring views. In multi-view video, such illumination disharmony can primarily occur on account of different camera location and orientation and an imperfect camera calibration. This discrepancy can cause the performance decrease of multi-view video coding(MVC) algorithm. A histogram matching algorithm can be exploited to make up for these differences in a prefiltering step. Once all camera frames of a multi-view sequence are adjusted to a predefined reference through the histogram matching, the coding efficiency of MVC is improved. However general frames of multi-view video sequence are composed of several regions with different color composition and their histogram distribution which are mutually independent of each other. In addition, the location and depth of these objects from sequeuces captured from different cameras can be different with different frames. Thus we propose a new algorithm which classify a image into several subpartitions by its depth information first and then histogram matching is performed for each region individually. Experimental results show that the compression ratio for the proposed algorithm is improved comparing with the conventional image-based algorithms.

  • In this paper we have presented a two dimensional model based tracking system using improved chamfer matching. Conventional chamfer matching could not calculate similarity well between the object and image when there is very cluttered background. Then we have improved chamfer matching to calculate similarity well even in very cluttered background with edge and corner feature points. Improved chamfer matching is used as likelihood function of particle filter which tracks the geometric object. Geometric model which uses edge and corner feature points, is a discriminant descriptor in color changes. Particle Filter is more non-linear tracking system than Kalman Filter. Then the presented method uses geometric model, particle filter and improved chamfer matching for tracking object in complex environment. In experimental result, the robustness of our system is proved by comparing other methods.

Parametric Image Generation and Enhancement in Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasonography (조영증강 초음파 진단에서 파라미터 영상 생성 및 개선 기법)

  • This paper proposes image processing techniques that improve usability and performance in a diagnostic system of the contrast-enhanced ultrasonography. For a methodology for visualizing diagnostic parameter data in an ultrasonic medical image, an expression of transition time data with successive pixel values and a method of generating a lesion diagnostic parameter image with four categorized values are presented. We also introduce a MRF-based image enhancement technique to eliminate noises from generated parametric images. Such parametric image generation technique can overcome the difficulty of discriminating dynamic change in patterns in the ultrasonography. The technique clarifies the contour of the region in the original image and facilitates visual determination of the characteristics of the lesion through four colors. With regard to this MRF-based image enhancement, we define the energy function of consecutive pixel values and develop a technique to optimize it, and the usability of the proposed theory is examined through experiments with medical images.

Adaptive Video Enhancement Algorithm for Military Surveillance Camera Systems (국방용 감시카메라를 위한 적응적 영상화질 개선 알고리즘)

  • Surveillance cameras in national border and coastline area often occur the video distortion because of rapidly changing weather and light environments. It is positively necessary to enhance the distorted video quality for keeping surveillance. In this paper, we propose an adaptive video enhancement algorithm in the various environment changes. To solve an unstable performance problem of the existing method, the proposed method is based on Retinex algorithm and uses enhanced curves which is adapted in foggy and low-light conditions. In addition, we mixture the weighted HSV color model to keep color constancy and reduce noise to obtain clear images. As a results, the proposed algorithm improves the performance of well-balanced contrast enhancement and effective color restoration without any quality loss compared with the existing algorithm. We expect that this method will be used in surveillance camera systems and offer help of national defence with reliability.

Segmentation of Immunohistochemical Breast Carcinoma Images Using ML Classification (ML분류를 사용한 유방암 항체 조직 영상분할)

  • In this paper we are attempted to quantitative classification of the three object color regions on a RGB image using of an improved ML(Maximum Likelihood) classification method. A RGB color image consists of three bands i.e., red, green and blue. Therefore it has a 3 dimensional structure in view of the spectral and spatial elements. The 3D structural yokels were projected in RGB cube wherefrom the ML method applied. Between the conventionally and easily usable Box classification and the statistical ML classification based on Bayesian decision theory, we compared and reviewed. Using the ML method we obtained a good segmentation result to classify positive cell nucleus, negative cell Nucleus and background un a immuno-histological breast carcinoma image. Hopefully it is available to diagnosis and prognosis for cancer patients.
