Real-time Hand Pose Recognition Using HLF (HLF(Haar-like Feature)를 이용한 실시간 손 포즈 인식)

  • 인간과 컴퓨터간의 전통적인 인터페이스는 인간이 요구하는 다양한 인터페이스를 제공하지 못한다는 점에서 점차 사용하기 불편하게 되었고 이는 새로운 형태의 인터페이스에 대한 요구로 이어지게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 추세에 맞추어 카메라를 통해 인간의 손 제스처를 인식하는 새로운 인터페이스를 연구하였다. 손은 자유도가 높고 3차원의 view direction에 의해 형상이 매우 심하게 변한다. 따라서 윤곽선 기반방법과 같은 2차원으로 투영된 영상에서 contour나 edge의 정보로 손 제스처를 인식하는 데는 한계가 있다. 그러나 모델기반 방법은 3차원 정보를 이용하기 때문에 손 제스처를 인식하는데 좋으나 계산량이 많아 실시간으로 처리하기가 쉽지 않다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 손 형상에 대한 대규모 데이터베이스를 구성하고 정규화된 공간에서 Feature 간의 연관성을 파악하여 훈련 데이터 모델을 구성하여 비교함으로써 실시간으로 손 포즈를 구별할 수 있다. 이러한 통계적 학습 기반의 알고리즘은 다양한 데이터와 좋은 feature의 검출이 최적의 성능을 구현하는 것과 연관된다. 따라서 배경으로부터 노이즈를 최대한 줄이기 위해 피부의 색상 정보를 이용하여 손 후보 영역을 검출하고 검출된 후보 영역으로부터 HLF(Haar-like Feature)를 이용하여 손 영역을 검출한다. 검출된 손 영역으로부터 패턴 분류 과정을 거쳐 손 포즈를 인식 하게 된다. 패턴 분류 과정은 HLF를 이용하여 손 포즈를 인식하게 되는데 미리 학습된 각 포즈에 대한 HLF를 이용하여 손 포즈를 인식하게 된다. HLF는 Violar가 얼굴 검출에 적용한 것으로 얼굴 검출에 좋은 결과를 보여 주었으며, 이는 적분 이미지로부터 추출한 HLF를 이용한 Adaboost 학습 알고리즘을 사용하였다. 본 논문에서는 피부색의 색상 정보를 이용 배경과 손 영상을 최대한 분리하여 배경의 대부분이 Adaboost-Haar Classifier의 첫 번째 스테이지에서 제거되는 방법을 이용하여 그 성능을 더 향상 시켜 손 형상 인식에 적용하였다.

  • The human being receives a new information from outside and the information shows gradual oblivion with time. But the information remains in memory and isn't forgotten for a long time if the information is read several times over. For example, we assume that we memorize a telephone number when we listen and never remind we may forget it soon, but we commit to memory long time by repeating. If the human being received new information with strong stimulus, it could remain in memory without recalling repeatedly. The moments of almost losing one's life in an accident or getting a stroke of luck are rarely forgiven. The human being can keep memory for a long time in spite of the limit of memory for the mechanism mentioned above. In this paper, we propose a model to explain the mechanism mentioned above using a neural network and fuzzy.

  • Introduction : Animal studies cannot be applied directly to Occupational Therapy(OT) intervention protocol. However, animal models still provide essential evidences and knowledge to improve OT practice and to develop OT theories as well as human studies do. The purpose of this scholarly paper is to explore the potential of animal models to inform OT theory and practice particularly as it relates to neuroscience. Body : The animal models provide related knowledge for a better understanding of the mechanism of diseases and related neural networks. Based on this knowledge, researchers can test their hypothesis of neural disease. In addition, accumulated animal studies contribute to introduce the new approaches to human diseases and to improve the effectiveness of treatment. Conclusions : Animal models of neurological disease are critical and have the potential to improve OT practice and theory in many ways. Therefore, OT researchers need to pay more attention to animal models in addition human studies.

A Study on the influence of Visual Mental model in human to percept product form (제품형태 지각에 있어서 시각적 멘탈모델의 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Human does information processing more efficiently using mental model at his understanding process. if We know what mental model is, we will know how to percept that. Similarly is it used visual mental model to percept visual object\ulcorner If it is true, we will analysis how man to understand. In this research, we have one experimentation to timid out that is true. So we did experimentation to know how man to understand new products by visual mental model. So we use 2700cc car's side view as stimuli. To A Subjects, we give them to see re\ulcorner size view before 120% ratio. To B Subject, we give them to see 120% ratio. After a experimentation, It is true that we make hypothesis that A Subjects percept this stimuli too long then B Subjects. Accordingly it proves human to use visual mental model to percept visual object. The result of experimentation, a testee use preliminary stimulus as basis of evaluation. It means that he use mental model as basis of evaluation of main stimulus. Accordingly development of new design can afford more strategic approach. Industrial designer who want to strategic approach can forced on high-weighted form attribute as consumer gives.

  • Most people react emotionally and are impressed for natural seen such as act, paint, sculpture, music, science, discovery, act include movie, opera. For empathy, people should make efforts feeling about sense from watching by themselves. Usually we are looking for meaning from art and intend to relate wth the content of music, drama, paint, and movie. The trend of statical order in modern design is strong in this time. However, we need to research the motive order for progressive design. And also, designer who want to give motive order to something must need to study motive order in design. This thesis explains the way of effective approach so that designer can apply the thinking such like bring in emotion. Also this research introduces the way of thinking to do progressive imagination and try to research through case study.

  • One of the words that describe unique features of human beings is "Homo Ludens (Playing Man)". As humans enjoy abundant and prosperous lives and the quality of life is further improved, play is increasingly becoming a central value of human life. As part of play, ocean leisure is getting popular these days, and in turn demands for ocean leisure-related products in Korea, most of which are dependent on foreign markets, are growing. Therefore, it is required that local companies are quick to turn their eyes on the fast developing market. This research aims to help develop a design concept for bodyboard, more suitable for the domestic market, by analyzing products and reflecting customers' needs. The findings of this study are as follows: first, it is desirable that the target of bodyboard in domestic market is young people aged between 14 and 29 and its price ranges from 40,000 to 100,000 won; second, a tube-type bodyboard is appropriate for beaches in Korea mostly with small and gentle waves, as also shown in a survey that over 65% of those surveyed prefer a tube-type bodyboard, and lastly, the CMFF (Color, Material, Form, and Function) strategy was newly developed in this study in order to create new concept bodyboards.

  • Constructivism gave many implications to science education but at the same time it has brought confusion about its implication to the field of science education. Hermeneutics has possibilities of being able to reduce confusion as well as opening a new horizon. Hermeneutics seeks the meaning of 'real understanding' through the concepts of horizon, hermeneutical circle, and fusion of horizons. Both hermeneutics and constructivism have positive attitude to students' pre-understanding and accept contextualization of knowledge. Thus, they both can criticize traditional teaching method and propose an alternative. Moreover, hermeneutics approaches human understanding holistically with the concept of horizon, and pays attention to the circularity of the process of human understanding. As a result, hermeneutics can open a new horizon and give new discourse to science education and contribute to the development of research and practice of science education.

A Study on the 'Zombie Narrative' in Modern Korean Novels (한국 현대 소설에 나타난 '좀비 서사'에 관한 고찰)

  • The content that is actively consumed in popular culture today is definitely the 'Zombie Narrative'. 'Zombie' is soon positioned as a unique character that reveals the times in which we live in conjunction with the uniqueness of Korean society. Zombies, however, are rarely narrated in traditional Korean modern novels though science-fiction novels constructively deal with them. This paper focuses on the existence of 'zombie', which seldom appears in modern novels. The paper also aims to illuminate the literary value of the 'zombie narrative' that is explosively consumed in modern society. In the main part, I talk about the horrors of 'ignorance' appearing in the existence of zombies in relation to those of the problem concerning "unknown". As one of the crucial characteristics of the zombies, moreover, the "absence" of the "thinking" was considered in terms of "ignorance" in relation to the concept of "Banality of evil" raised by Hannah Arendt. This paper also pays attention to the possibility of a new solidarity between zombies and humans depicted in novels. This possibility can be seen as a search for solidarity between humans and zombies, beyond the solidarity between humans who survived from zombies. The paper enlightens a new relationship between a captor and a captive that dichotomous scale impossibly explains and presents a possible new story. As discussed above, as this study searches for the existence of 'zombies' that seldom appear in contemporary Korean novels, it clearly signifies the literary value of 'zombies' and further possible narratives concerning 'zombies'. Furthermore, this study appreciates the extension of the existing 'zombie narrative' researches, which has been mainly focused on films.

Prior to study, I was to analyze the feature of Digital Art in order to using Digital Art, Interactivity make communication between humans and the art as well as cause audience participation, and take a role of bridge between human and space. A study was base on the relationship between human and space, space and Digital Art, Digital Art and human taken the focus interaction between human and space, and Interactivity of Digital Art. This paper analyze reciprocal action for utilize Digital Art in indoor space design, and this paper study expression about indoor design base of interactive.

기술과 자유로운 상상의 연결 패러다임

  • 의사는 인간의 생명을 구하는 권한이 있으니까 마치 생명을 죽이는 권한도 포함된 것 같은 생각에 그야말로 막강한 권한을 가진 것 같이 보인다. 오늘의 한국에서는 과거와 달리 의사의 사회적 위상에 많이 떨어져 있지만 아직도 미국이나 독일 같은 선진 사회에서 의사의 위상은 준신에 가깝게 높고 그의 말과 판단이라면 비록 건강에 관한 이슈뿐만 아니라 삶에 대한 지혜로도 존중되고 수용된다. 의사의 사회적 위상이 높아진 것은 의학이라는 특수한 학문과 이와 연결된 의술의 그동안의 엄청난 발달과 무관하지 않다. 역사적으로 보면 고대 희랍시대부터 의학은 인간의 질병을 고치고 생명을 건강하게 보존하는 특별한 지식 그리고 이 지식을 기반으로 응용되는 치료기법으로 기예 (techne)라는 존칭으로 불리었다. 즉, 건강의 회복이라는 실질적인 목적을 가진 지식과 테크닉을 합친 이른바 귀중한 실천 (praxis)이다. 의학에 대한 낙관적인 전망은 시대와 문화가 바뀌면서 또한 의학 자체가 좀 더 발달하면서 도전을 받는다. 20세기에 들어서서 인간의 생명을 위협하고 또 고통을 주는 질병의 종류와 양상이 변하고, 의 과학이 앞으로 인류의 병들을 퇴치시킬 수 있다는 기대에 차질이 생기게 되었다. 미국 같은 선진국에서는 일찍이 1960년도 말부터 의학교과목 개혁의 일환으로 인문학의 과목들을 같이 가르치기 시작했다. 대표적인 과목들이 윤리학, 철학, 역사, 문학 등이다. 인문학의 보강은 의학과 기술과 인간성의 연결을 위해 의사들이 쓸 수 있는 인지적 도구 (cognitive tools)를 갖추게 하는 목적에서이다. 인문학의 도입으로 의사들이 인간의 삶을 좀 더 깊게 이해하고 풍부한 인간성으로 지식과 기술을 환자에게 적용할 수 있기 위해 각자의 마음과 머리 속에 포용통합능력을 발달시키자는 데 있다. 즉 의사들의 의식과 자유로운 상상력이 확장되면서 새로운 정체성을 갖게 되는 것을 바라는 것이다. 선진국의 의학교육에서 이 같은 교육이 좋은 의사를 만든다는 신념을 굳혀가고 있다. 성과를 증명하는 연구결과가 없어 아직도 회의적인 반응도 있으나 이와 같은 교육이 윤리적 상황에 대한 예민도를 높이는 것은 확실하다. 연세대학교 의과대학은 기독교 이념이 기본 교육철학이다. 인간성을 강조하고 의사들이 자신의 인간성을 개발 강화하는 교육이 하나님의 사랑을 의사 지신의 인간성과 그의 인간애로 내재화 시킬 수 있다면 그리스도의 정신을 의학과 의술에 연결시키는 고귀한 목적을 이룰 수 있는 길이라고 생각한다.
