Street-view images, which are omnidirectional scenes centered on a specific location on the road, can provide various obstacle information for the pedestrians. Pedestrian network data for the navigation services should reflect the up-to-date obstacle information to ensure the mobility of pedestrians, including people with disabilities. In this study, the object detection model was trained for the bollard as a major obstacle in Seoul using street-view images and a deep learning algorithm. Also, a process for updating information about the presence and number of bollards as obstacle properties for the crosswalk node through spatial matching between the detected bollards and the pedestrian nodes was proposed. The missing crosswalk information can also be updated concurrently by the proposed process. The proposed approach is appropriate for crowdsourcing data as the model trained using the street-view images can be applied to photos taken with a smartphone while walking. Through additional training with various obstacles captured in the street-view images, it is expected to enable efficient information update about obstacles on the road.

Objective : Multisensory integration (MSI) is the essential process to use diverse sensory information for cognitive task or execution of motor action. Especially, visual and somatosensory integration is critical for motor behavior and coordination. This study was designed to explain spatial and temporal characteristics of visual and somatosensory integration by neurophysiological research method that identifies the time course and brain location of the SI process. Methods : Electroencephalography (EEG) and event-related potential (ERP) is used in this study in order to observe neural activities when integrating visual and tactile input. We calculate the linear summation (SUM) of visual-related potentials (VEPs) and somatosensory-related potentials (SEPs), and compared the SUM with simultaneously presented visual-tactile ERPs(SIM) Results : There were significant differences between the SIM and SUM in later time epochs (about 200-300ms) at contralateral somatosensory areas (C4) and occipital cortices (O1&O2). The amplitude of the SIM was mathematically larger than the summed signals, implying that the integration made some extra neural activities. Conclusion : This study provides some empirical neural evidence of that multisensory integration is more powerful than just combing two unisensory inputs in the brain and ERP data reveals neural signature relating to multisensory integrative process. Since this study is preliminary pilot study, larger population and criteria are needed for level of the significance. Further study is recommended to consider issues including effect of internally-driven attention and laterality of interaction to make the evidence by this study solid.

This study is aimed at enhancing mobility rights for the transportation underprivileged that has been made light of relatively compared to normal people. In order to do this, we've suggested having ITS (Intelligent Traffic System) built and improving satisfaction through the test operation of its main system. The existing sound signal device for the visually handicapped has one problem with managing it. Because, the people in charge of it had to visit each problematic site directly to maintain and fix some problems every time it was out of order. Moreover, it couldn't provide sustainable services about voice guidance and the visually handicapped had to control it by either confirming the location of buttons that were installed on the pillar of traffic light and then pressing one of them or using a remote controller on their own. In order to improve such inconveniences, we have created a new typed sound signal device for the visually handicapped by applying the cutting-edge wireless technology based on ergonomics considering actual road situations. Such technology enables it report the status of signal device and light to them by using its voice guidance system automatically every time they have access to it. Additionally, we've already introduced it to a couple of test areas and then known the fact that they recognized traffic situation more conveniently and safely compared to the existing sound signal device. That is above average in terms of satisfaction. In addition to that, we've provided LTS (Location Tracking System - Location-based service intended for elementary students) by utilizing the existing wireless infrastructure and founded the fact that about 87% of their parents were satisfied with the service based on LTS.

Seamless wireless communication network access technology enables users to guarantee service continuity. Hence, it is necessary for disaster situations in which network service may be interrupted. The Multi-path router is a technology to improve network stability and strengthen field operability, particularly in a disaster environment where network failure can occur by providing high-performance data transmission using multi-communication networks and network security by VPN-based wireless IP. In this paper, a prototype system for an MPR-based wireless communication network was proposed to improve the operation performance for disaster field investigation applications. A comparative experiment was performed on various data transmission performances with the existing single wireless communication network. In addition, another experiment was conducted by measuring the data packet transmission and receiving performance in the existing/new wireless communication system first and then assessing the UDP transmission performance in a single router environment to understand the transmission capability of the new MPR. The experimental results showed that the sending and receiving performance was improved by approximately double that of the existing single wireless communication system. The proposed prototype system is expected to allow users to share and disseminate collected on-site data more quickly and efficiently during a disaster site investigation.
The study aims to develop a assessment tool to provide the in-home disabled in a local community with appropriate services in consideration of physical, emotional, social and environmental circumstances. After collection of assesment data of 200 in-home disabled through use of the tool, a desire-extracting algorithm was developed to provide a service to real needs through the use of decision tree analysis on data mining. The study was conducted for Five months from June 2006 through October 2006, and it is divided into development of an assessment tool and extraction of real needs through the use of the tool. The basic framework of the development of the tool was established through the examination of related literature, the subjective satisfaction of the assessment tool and items were developed through the use of a focus group and experts, and verification was implemented through the use of statistics to confirm the validity of the tool. As remote sensing technologies are evolving, and more satellites are orbited, the demand for using satellite data for disaster monitoring is rapidly increasing. Although natural and social disasters have been monitored using satellite data, constraints on establishing an integrated satellite-based near real-time disaster monitoring system have not been identified yet, and thus a novel framework for establishing such system remains to be presented. This research identifies constraints on establishing satellite data-based near real-time disaster monitoring systems by devising and testing a new conceptual framework of disaster monitoring, and then presents a feasible disaster monitoring system that relies mainly on acquirable satellite data. Implementing near real-time disaster monitoring by satellite remote sensing is constrained by technological and economic factors, and more significantly, it is also limited by interactions between organisations and policy that hamper timely acquiring appropriate satellite data for the purpose, and institutional factors that are related to satellite data analyses. Such constraints could be eased by employing an integrated computing platform, such as Amazon Web Services(AWS), which enables obtaining, storing and analysing satellite data, and by developing a toolkit by which appropriate satellites'sensors that are required for monitoring specific types of disaster, and their orbits, can be analysed. It is anticipated that the findings of this research could be used as meaningful reference when trying to establishing a satellite-based near real-time disaster monitoring system in any country.
In recent years, artistic programs considering both physical and psychological changes in old age have been implemented in various fields. These programs include participatory activities such as painting, play, singing, photography, dance, cartoon animation and so on. It is known that culture and art education programs lead people to emotional growth and social interaction. In particular, culture and art education for the elderly tends to affect positively on the quality of life. However, there are still lack of teaching methods and curriculums in the filed. It is considered that cartoon has a great potential as a teaching method of culture and art education for elderly. This study aims to discuss ways to vitalize the role of cartoon using the qualitative data of four elderly participants in culture and art education programs. The case study analyses reveled that cartoon program for the elderly not only plays a role to make their daily lives more enthusiastic but also provides a social passage to communicate to world. The Cartoon program designed for the elderly was a tool to reveal their inner world to others, and shed new light on their past memories, and long for the precious moments in life. At the same time, it was a meaningful time to lessen the depth of loneliness in old age, and even to heal their physical disability and emotional conflicts. The hardest part of drawing an cartoon was when it did not turn out as they wished. Based on the study results, the researchers explored the therapeutic usefulness of cartoon for the elderly, and discussed the ways to activate it in the field of elderly welfare.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among poverty, family structure and functioning, burdens of adult roles and socio-emotional problems. It was especially focused on the relationship between the burden of adult roles and socioemotional problems among children in poverty. The Structural Equation model was employed for analyses. The Theoretical model was established based on previous researches related to poverty and adult roles (for example, parentification and parentified children). Data came from the first wave of 'Seoul Panel Study of Children; SPSC' and subjects consisted of 1,807 4th grade elementary school students and their parents who were located at K-Gu in Seoul. The survey was carried out from October 25th to November 20th in 2005. The Results of the Structural Equation model were congruent with the theoretical expectations. To find a more appropriate model, three kinds of structural models were hypothesized and analysed. In the most appropriate model which had a good model fit, poverty and family structure impacted on socio-emotional problems directly and indirectly. The relationship between poverty and socio-emotional problems was mediated by family functioning and burdens of adult roles. The same mediation process existed between family structure and socio-emotional problems also. In brief, children in poverty or those who have a single parent are more likely to have impaired family functioning, which is likely to cause higher burdens of adult roles. In turn, those who have higher burdens of adult roles are more likely to have socioemotional problems. In conclusion, various theoretical and practical implications for social work practice focusing on the burdens of adult roles or caretaker roles among children in poverty were discussed.

Special theaters were created to provide a sense of immersion and spectacles due to differentiated screens, sound, seating facilities, and advanced services, and also expanded screens. The purpose of this study is to perform comparative analysis of the technical characteristics formats shown in special theaters(3D film, 4DX, IMAX, ScreenX, and VR) in order to identify and find ways to overcome the technological limitations in production. The various formats show differences in field of view depending on the exhibition technology and these differences affect the mise-en-scene, narrative, and editing of the film and consequently result in changes in the production environment and process. Therefore, directors and creators must understand the technological features and limitations of the new formats before making their approach. However, a new format encounters limitations on production sets due to the decline of technical education and succession. In situations where shooting with a special camera is essential, the particular characteristics of each format should be carefully considered from the planning stage but financial problems arise due to increase in production period and cost. To overcome these various obstacles, it is essential to first identify problems and present alternatives through in-depth research on the production set of each format. Finally, this research aims to explore the prototype of each format and analyze the current state of production technology with formats that have not been adapted to the market trends by combining with the other formats and showing that they can survive in new ways.

Congenital Missing Teeth(hypodontia, oligodontia) is the developmental absence of one or more teeth. It has been reported as being the most common anomaly of dental development in human, relatively common in the permanent dentition. In a recent review, Vastardis has quoted incidence ranges of $1.6%{\sim}9.6%$ in the permanent dentition. Brook has quoted a prevalence of $3.5%{\sim}6.5%$ in most populations, with severe hypodontia, defined as the absence of six or more teeth, having a prevalence of $0.3{\sim}0.4%$. The most commonly affected teeth are third molars, followed by maxillary lateral incisor, and second premolars. The etiology is unknown, several hypotheses include trauma, nutritional deficiency, infection, metabolic abnormalities, systemic disease and genetic influence. The multiple congenital missing is commonly associated with specific syndrome or severe systemic abnormalities such as cleft lip & palate and Down's syndrome. These cases present that children have multiple congenital missing teeth in the permanent dentition, without any systemic disease. Management of this condition must be considered orthodontic and prosthodontic treatment comprehensively. In these cases, children were treated by space maintainer or orthodontic appliance and follow-up checked.
