  • The objective of the current study was to engage in an in-depth discussion and analysis about the process of overcoming hardships in students that play varsity sports as student athletes and who grew up under incomplete family structures, To achieve this end, the current study conducts a narrative inquiry into the subjects, which found the following: First, in terms of improvement and expansion of interpersonal relationships, the student athletes were able to change their personalities to be more confident and active in their daily routines. Second, in forming positive emotions through playing sports, the student athletes were able to actively search for ways to overcome difficult situations and self-regulated their emotions. Third, in relation to improvement of problem-solving skills, the student athletes were able to find the most effective ways to overcome hardships caused by their broken family situations, in addition to exhibiting advanced problem-solving skills that enabled them to find courses that are most adequate for solving future problems.

  • The purpose of this paper is to explain MacIntyre's critique of moral pluralism of modern society and reveal the limits of his critique of liberalism. It is a distinctive feature of the social and cultural order that we inhabit that disagreements over central moral issues are peculiarly unsettleable. Debates concerned with the value of human life such as those over abortion and euthanasia, or about distributive justice and property rights, or about war and peace degenerate into confrontations of assertion and counter-assertion because the protagonists of rival positions invoke incommensurable forms of moral assertion against each other. We usually call this situation 'modern moral pluralism' and concede as the natural outcome of the activities of human reason under free institution. But in After Virtue, MacIntyre vigorously criticizes modern moral pluralism. The main cause he took which brought about this state of affairs was the failure of 'the Enlightenment project'. According to MacIntyre, the Enlightenment project which has dominated philosophy for the past three hundred years promised a conception of rationality independent of historical and social context, and independent of any specific understanding of man's nature or purpose. But not only has that promise in fact been unfulfilled, the project is itself fundamentally flawed and the promise could never be fulfilled. In consequence, modern moral and political thought are in a state of disarray from which they can be rescued only if we revert to an Aristotelian paradigm, with its essential commitment, and construct an account of practical reason premised on that commitment. But one of the deepest difficulties with the argument of After Virtue is that the very extent of its critique of the modern world seems to cast doubt on the possibility of any realistic revival under the conditions of modernity of the Aristotelianism which MacIntyre advocates. Especially when we consider we are not only the characters found in our narratives but also we ourselves are the author of our own narratives. Moral pluralism is not seen as disaster but rather as the natural outcome of the activities of human reason under enduring free institutions.

  • The purposes of this study were to explore the relations of preschoolers' narrative representation profile types to diurnal cortisol regulation pattern at home. Fourteen story stems from the MacArthur Story Stem Battery (MSSB, Bretherton, et al., 1990) were administered to 40 preschoolers(22 boys, 18 girls, aged 5) recruited from 8 kindergartens in the Seoul and Gyeonggi areas. And also, their saliva cortisol was collected. The children's responses were aggregated into 5 dimensions, based on content themes and performance scores, which included emotions expressed and narrative coherence using the MacArthur Narrative Coding System(Robinson, et al., 2004). Data were analyzed by means of cluster analysis. Five response profiles emerged over the course of this research: Prosocial, Anxiety, Dyregulated aggression, Restricted, and Avoidance profiles. Cortisol at home showed decrease diurnal cortisol regulation patterns, however it showed a difference according to narrative response profiles. Restricted, Prosocial, and Avoidance profiles showed decrease diurnal cortisol regulation patterns. Anxiety profiles showed flat pattern, and Dyregulated aggression profile showed rising diurnal cortisol regulation pattern. These results show the preschoolers' internal representation may affect the diurnal cortisol reaction in daytime.

  • Beside fire resistance, for Phenolic Composites(here-in-after PCs), in actual, moisture resistance are also needed when they are applied to components in wet uses such as in Naval vessels and in off-shore operations where direct water contact may be expected. PCs have so-called 'Micro-porous' when they are made by normal GRP manufacturing techniques, which causes much larger amounts of water absorption in them to higher level of around $7\%$. So, this figure, which indicate impending disaster in a polyester matrix laminate, has made some specifiers suspicious of the effect of the water on mechanical performance of PC in 'wet' service. To solve this problem, a large amount work has been carried out by workers in UK and US. This paper is an attempt to explain that the effect of the high water absorption of PCs is not the disaster that some 'prophets' may foretell. Let's open our next door fur better society much safetyfied by our own efforts with PCs. like in UK.

  • The purpose of this Paper is a studying the soteriology of the film 'The End of Evangelion'(1997). In many religions the human being is recognized as negative and defect existence, on this count human being needs the salvation. Therefor the word salvation implies the meaning of liberation or overcoming. On this point Christianity, Buddhism, and Islam are of one accord. The christianity sees the original sin as the human limits, and the buddhism points out the ignorance(無明, ajnana) of human being. The soteriology of the film 'The End of Evangelion' is similar to the above-mentioned religions. For that the terminology of 'the Human Complementation Project' is used in film. In many religions the salvation is fulfilled in this world, in other words 'now' and 'here' are emphasized fot the accomplishment of the salvation. • I do not think that the role of jewel case in modern society is simply to perform the role of storing and storing contents. Depending on the circumstance and environment, it may show some special performance with its contents. In order to obtain such a result, So I came to think about a new type of case design and wanted to find the starting point in the cultural contents which is the mainstream of modern society. I have focused on 'story' of many cultural prototypes. and adopted 'Heungbujeon', a classical literature which can share case and image, and popular recognition. After the design process, I made sample. so the research on the fusion of cultural contents can be both creative and popular. I think it can be another development direction of modern craft.

  • This study investigated the types of analogies that 7th graders generated to explain three states of matter, the difference of analogies by achievement level, and the misconceptions that might be induced from the analogies. The results revealed that many students made the enriched and storytelling analogies with concrete materials or events from their everyday experiences. However, they made analogies without considering causal relationship such as the change of particular arrangement based on latent heat or molecular movement. The students of high achievement level considered the arrangement and the movement of molecules and made the enriched and storytelling analogies more than the students of low achievement level. The students made the analogies that might induce misconceptions such that the molecules don't move in solid state or the particles could be changed according to the states.
