A Study of Metadata for Composite Electronic Records Archiving: With a Focus on Digital Components of E-Learning Contents (복합전자기록물 아카이빙을 위한 메타데이터에 관한 연구 - 이러닝 콘텐츠의 디지털 컴포넌트를 중심으로 -)

  • Electronic record types are becoming diverse, and "composite electronic records," which are made up of various types of electronic records associated with functionality or user interaction that does not exist in current electronic document formats, are increasing. To ensure a continuous access to composite electronic records, metadata construction is a prerequisite for electronic records archiving. In this paper, we propose a metadata that can support archiving of composite electronic records associated with interactive functionality. The common elements were derived from an analysis of both domestic and international file format registry projects, and metadata elements related to functional requirements were identified from the analysis of the records on nursing education e-learning contents. We proposed the metadata elements for archiving composite electronic records, which consist of 25 high-level elements and 138 subelements.

Cognitive Mechanisms of Collaborative Learning and Technology Supports (협동학습의 인지적 기제와 테크놀로지의 지원)

  • The main goal of this paper is to understand the underlying cognitive mechanisms of collaborative learning and how it can be supported by technology. The paper first overviews changes in conceptions of learning and distinguishes different types of joint works including collaborative learning. Cognitive mechanisms of collaborative learning are examined in terms of resource pooling, facilitation of constructive activities, knowledge co-construction, and supports for monitoring and regulation. Socio-emotional mechanisms of collaborative learning moderate the directions and strengths of these cognitive mechanisms. Technology supports these mechanisms in a number of different ways. Seven major supports technology provides for collaborative learning are discussed. A deeper understanding of the cognitive mechanisms of collaborative learning can help us to harness the benefits of collaborative learning better and also to develop more sophisticated tools supporting collaborative learning.

Text Mining Analysis of Customer Reviews on Public Service Robots: With a focus on the Guide Robot Cases (텍스트 마이닝을 활용한 공공기관 서비스 로봇에 대한 사용자 리뷰 분석 : 안내로봇 사례를 중심으로)

  • The use of service robots, particularly guide robots, is becoming increasingly prevalent in public institutions. However, there has been limited research into the interactions between users and guide robots. To explore the customer experience with the guidance robot, we selected 'QI', which has been meeting customers for the longest time, and collected all reviews since the service was launched in public institutions. By using text mining techniques, we identified the main keywords and user experience factors and examined factors that hinder user experience. As a result, the guide robot's functionality, appearance, interaction methods, and role as a cultural commentator and helper were key factors that influenced the user experience. After identifying hindrance factors, we suggested solutions such as improved interaction design, multimodal interface service design, and content development. This study contributes to the understanding of user experience with guide robots and provides practical suggestions for improvement.

  • In The increasing use of computers and high-speed Internet network has greatly influenced education, causing a veering away from the typical and traditional way of delivering instruction. Specifically, the various kinds of Web-based multimedia technology, the interactive activities on the Internet, and satellite broadcasting technology are accelerating the emergence of a virtual-lectures-based educational model, which transcends time and space. Such virtual lectures make it possible for the entire teaching-learning process to be done in a virtual learning environment, thus giving rise to problem regarding learning guidance, feedback, and appraisal. In this paper, we propose a system for attendance appraisal for learner participation degree based virtual lecture, an appraisal element in virtual learning environments. This appraisal model can set the elements of virtual learning environments in such a way as to reflect in the attendance appraisal of the opened virtual learning environment information regarding the learner's participation in class. In addition, this model motivates the learners to actively participate in the virtual learning environment and to support instructors by accomplishing the activities that are needed for attendance appraisal.

The effects of e-learning characteristics on e-learner's scholastic performance (이러닝 특성이 학습자의 학업성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • RThe main object of this study is to stipulate the relation between e-learning characteristics and e-learner's scholastic performance through the integrated study model of perspective of educational technology and information technology. Using e-learning system quality, e-learning contents characteristics and interaction as independent variable, e-learner's scholastic performance as dependent variable and learning motivation as mediator, this study has examined the relationship among these variables. Two hundreds and twelve undergraduates in cyber university participated in the survey and filled out questionnaires related to this study. The main results are as followed. First, content's quality, technical quality and the support of school affairs have a significant effect on the e-learner's scholastic performance. Second, Learning motivation plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between e-learning characteristics and e-learner's scholastic performance. The meaningful implication of this study is that to improve e-learner's scholastic performance, we have to offer e-learners more customized various learning plans, learning contents and interaction between e-learners and e-learning systems.

Performance Enhancement of Ion-Exchange Membranes Using Nanomaterials (나노물질을 이용한 이온교환막의 성능 향상)

  • Ion-exchange membrane (IEM), is a key component that determines the performance of the electro-membrane processes. In this review, the latest research trends in improving the performance of IEMs used in various electro-membrane processes through modification using carbon-based and metal-based nanomaterials are investigated. The nanomaterials can be introduced into IEMs through various methods. In particular, carbon-based nanomaterials can strengthen their interaction with polymer chains by introducing additional functional groups through chemical modification. Through this, not only can the ion conductivity of IEM be improved, but also the permselectivity can be improved through the sieving effect through the layered structure. Meanwhile, metal-based nanomaterials can improve permselectivity through sieving properties using the difference in hydration radius between target ions and excluded ions within a membrane by using the property of having a layered or porous structure. In addition, depending on the characteristics of the binder used, ion conductivity can be improved through interaction between nanomaterials and binders. From this review, it can be seen that the properties of IEMs can be effectively controlled using carbon-based and metal-based nanomaterials and that research on this is important to greatly improve the performance of the electro-membrane process.

  • 1990 년대 후반 이후 스마트 의류 연구는 기능성 및 인간 친화적인 측면으로의 접근 필요성이 증가됨에 따라 기능 및 사용자 중심의 연구로 진행되어 오고 있다. 이에 따라 최근 스마트 의류의 발달은 사용자 애플리케이션을 중심으로 세분화되어 개발되고 있다다변하는 의류 시장에서 스마트 의류 상품기획은 기존의 의류 상품기획과 같이 소비자 트렌드 중심의 경향과 함께 소비자의 특성을 파악하는 연구의 필요성이 대두되어 그 중요성은 날로 부상하고 있다. 그러나, 기존의 스마트 의류의 연구는 기능성, 사용성 기반의 연구자 중심의 개발이 이루어지고 있어, 소비자 중심, 마켓 중심의 연구가 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 스마트 의류 기획에 있어 가장 밀접한 관련이 예상되는 의복 및 의복행동 라이프 스타일과 디지털 라이프 스타일을 중심으로 라이프 스타일의 유형을 분석하고, 라이프 스타일에 따른 스마트 의류 수용도와 인지도를 조사하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 추후 스마트 의류의 수요가 가장 높을 것으로 예상되는 20 대, 30 대를 중심으로 이루어졌으며, 라이프 스타일에 따른 스마트 의류의 수용도와 인지 여부 및 스마트 의류의 선호도를 조사하여 그 결과를 제시하였다.그 결과 소비자 라이프스타일은 유행추구형, 감각적 정보추구형, 실용적 기능추구형의 세 유형으로 도출되었으며, 유행추구형 집단이 스마트 의류에 대한 인지도가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 유행추구형은 엔터테인먼트 의류군을 선호하였으며, 스마트 의류 속성 중 외관을 다른 집단에 비해 중시하는 경향을 보였다. 감각적 정보추구형은 감성교감의류 및 생체 신호 측정의류의 선호도 및 필요성을 높게 인지하고 있었으며, 실용적 기능 추구형은 생체 신호 측정의류 및 환경과의 상호작용 하는 의류에 대해 선호하는 경향을 나타내며, 스마트 의류의 필요성을 다른 집단에 비해 높게 느끼고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 스마트 의류의 인식 및 선호도 등 상품화에 실질적인 평가 자료를 제시함으로써, 추후 스마트 의류의 상용화에 있어 시장 가능성 및 상품화를 위한 스마트 의류 기획 방향을 제시한 것에 의의가 있다.

Influence on the Tweet Credibility and Attitude Toward Tweet of Tweet Content, Function and Involvement (트윗의 내용과 기능 그리고 관여도가 트윗 신뢰도와 태도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine what variables influence on tweet credibility and attitude toward tweet. For this, the present research used the tweet content(information/opinion), tweet function(without URL and RT/URL/RT) and involvement(low/hight) as independent variables and applied a triangular research design which are in-depth interview, survey and computer usability testing software. Main findings are as follows. First, the participants read tweets listed in order regardless of tweet content, function and involvement. Second, there was a significant main effect of the tweet content on the tweet credibility and an interaction effect of those three independent variables on the attitude toward tweet. Finally, the in-depth interview showed that information is perceived to be more credible than opinion and URL>RT>just information or opinion are listed in order on the tweet credibility.

  • The purpose of this paper is to review changes in articular cartilage properties from the joint immobilization. Joint immobilization is accompanied not only by many disorders including rheumatologic disorders, degenerative disorders, trauma and fracture but treatment for disorders. Articular cartilage are sensitive to mechanical events. Immobilization is associated with cartilage degradation that may cause joint pain and reduced range of motion. An understanding of the effects of immobilization on the articular cartilage will help to plan of physical therapy program

  • Food intake and body weight are determined by a complex interaction of regulatory pathways. Leptin, the product of the ob gene, is a recently discovered hormone secreted by adipocytes, that signals the amount of adipose tissue energy stores to the brain and exerts major effects on energy homeostasis and neuroendocrine function. In addition, leptin has recently been shown to affect reproductive function in rodents and humans. The study of leptin and its effectors in the hypothalamus may provide important insights with respect to the interplay of several hypothalamic neuropeptides in regulating feeding as well as the interaction of genetics and environment in the regulation of energy homeostasis. In this review we summarise the action of leptin in the regulation of food intake and highlight a working model of the effects of environmental factors on the leptin system.
