A UML Profile for Specifying Component Design as MDA/PIM (컴포넌트 설계를 MDA/PIM으로 명세하기 위한 UML프로파일)

  • Component Based Development (CBD) is appealing as a technology to improve the productivity of software development through component reuse. Model Driven Architecture (MDA) is a new development paradigm which automatically generates application by transforming design models incrementally. Since both reusability of CBD and model transformation of MDA increase software productivity. integration of two technologies is desirable. To enable this technology integration, we need to devise a UML profile for specifying component design as a PIM. In this paper, we first define a meta-model for components, and propose a UML profile which is used to specify elements of component design as PIM. Since the proposed profile is based on Meta Object Facility (MOF) from which is MDA is derived, it is consistent and compatible with existing MDA methods and tools.

  • In line with the advanced wireless communication technology, M2M (Machine-to-Machine) communication has drawn attention in industry. M2M communication features are installed and operated in the fields where human accessibility is highly limited such as disaster, safety, construction, health and welfare, climate, environment, logistics, culture, defense, medical care, agriculture and stockbreeding. In M2M communication, machine replaces people for automatic communication and countermeasures as part of unmanned information management and machine operation. Wireless M2M inter-device communication is likely to be exposed to intruders' attacks, causing security issues, which warrants proper security measures including cross-authentication of whether devices are legitimate. Therefore, research on multiple security protocols has been conducted. The present study applied SessionKey, HashFunction and Nonce to address security issues in M2M communication and proposed a safe protocol with reinforced security properties. Notably, unlike most previous studies arguing for the security of certain protocols based on mathematical theorem proving, the present study used the formal verification with Casper/FDR to prove the safety of the proposed protocol. In short, the proposed protocol was found to be safe and secure.

Design and Implementation of Architecture for Convergence of Home Network Services and Data Broadcasting Services (홈네트워크 서비스와 데이터방송 서비스의 컨버전스를 위한 구조 설계 및 구현)

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of architecture for convergence of home network services and data broadcasting services based on UMB and ACAP middleware; the one is used for interoperability of home networked devices, and the other for data broadcasting services. The proposed architecture provides TV-centric user interface capable of managing home network services and data broadcasting services together using a remote controller and TV sets TV applying Java TV Xlet interface and HAVi user interface for home network services like data broadcasting services. Besides, we define the service proxy for accessing home network services in a set-top box and the service broker for providing data related to home network services in a home server. Finally, the application manager in ACAP middleware manages the lifecycle of home network services through service events from the service proxy to the application manager.

  • An ontology as the core element of Semantic Web is a formal specification of a conceptualization of shared domain knowledge. The use of well-defined ontologies can increase the quality of interoperable information systems in the area of Semantic Web. However, in practice, it is not easy to develop high-quality ontologies which have no errors. Therefore, with methodologies for ontology design, various methods or tools for ontology analysis supporting for error-detection might be very helpful for ontology developers. In this paper, we propose a novel approach for analyzing the core constructs of ontology based on the Formal Concept Analysis and develop a tool that supports error-checking ontologies. Our approach can serve not only as a guidance to modify the existing ontologies, but also as a valuable tool in developing high-quality ontologies.

  • Sensor Registry System (SRS) has been devised for maintaining semantic interoperability of data on heterogeneous sensor networks. SRS measures the connectability of the mobile device to ambient sensors based on positions and only provides metadata of sensors that may be successfully connected. The step of identifying the ambient sensors which can be successfully connected is called sensor filtering. Improving the performance of sensor filtering is one of the core issues of SRS research. In reality, GPS sometimes shows the wrong position and thus leads to failed sensor filtering. Therefore, this paper proposes a new sensor filtering strategy using geographical embedding and neural network-based path prediction. This paper also evaluates the service provision rate with the Monte Carlo approach. The empirical study shows that the proposed method can compensate for position abnormalities and is an effective model for sensor filtering in SRS.

  • According as internet and Information-Communication technology develop with the fast speed, Electronic Catalog that is used B2B or B2C electronic commerce is important element middle who can express well special quality of corporation's goods and product most effectively from internet space. But, several problems that creation of Electronic Catalog and standard absence about application that can say as importance technology base in electronic commerce and market newcomers who is constructing each other dissimilar system and take part in electronic commercial transaction can not use Electronic Catalog information exchange and transaction are happening. So that this treatise can use Electronic Catalog document that user who define Electronic Catalog document structure that can process information of goods configurationally and takes part in transaction is defined in electronic commerce hereupon, integration style Electronic Catalog system design and embody. This system did useful information that can not get from various advantage and catalog document such as business all-in-one and interoperability in different environment that Web Services through interlock with Web Services has so that can get Web Services.

  • Starting with the "Smart Grid National Road Map" in 2010, the Smart Grid 2030 was introduced through the basic plan and implementation plan of the intelligent power grid with the goal of building the world's first national smart grid. In this paper, we intend to build a power domain ontology based on the power business platform based on the upper and lower conceptual models of the "Smart Grid Interoperability Standard Framework and Roadmap", the standard of implementation plan. Ontology is suitable for expressing and utilizing the smart grid conceptual model because it considers hierarchical structure as knowledge defines the properties of entities and relationships between entities, but there is no research related to them. Therefore, in this paper, the upper ontology was defined as a major category for smart grid-related fields, and the lower ontology was defined as detailed systems and functions for the upper ontology to construct the ontology. In addition, scenarios in various situations that could occur in the power system were constructed and significant inference results were derived through inference engines and queries.

  • Electronic Medical Record(EMR) is medical record that has been saved electronically onto a computer. The standardization activities for EMR is actively underway as it may not only improve the overall quality of the medical services but as the value of medical big data (medical & IT convergence area) is being considered very important. One of the most important issues is ensuring the necessary and effectiveness of EMR standardization to the stakeholder. Researchers did an empirical study to find out how the doctors perceived the EMR standardization from both technical and economical perspective. The results of the empirical analyses showed that system quality and an economical value had a positive effect on perceived usefulness and intention to adopt EMR standardization, yet interoperability have only affected the perceived usefulness. Additionally, the economical value seemed to be the most important variable in forming a consensus in the need of EMR standardization.
