Clustering Method based on Genre Interest for Cold-Start Problem in Movie Recommendation (영화 추천 시스템의 초기 사용자 문제를 위한 장르 선호 기반의 클러스터링 기법)

  • Social media has become one of the most popular media in web and mobile application. In 2011, social networks and blogs are still the top destination of online users, according to a study from Nielsen Company. In their studies, nearly 4 in 5active users visit social network and blog. Social Networks and Blogs sites rule Americans' Internet time, accounting to 23 percent of time spent online. Facebook is the main social network that the U.S internet users spend time more than the other social network services such as Yahoo, Google, AOL Media Network, Twitter, Linked In and so on. In recent trend, most of the companies promote their products in the Facebook by creating the "Facebook Page" that refers to specific product. The "Like" option allows user to subscribed and received updates their interested on from the page. The film makers which produce a lot of films around the world also take part to market and promote their films by exploiting the advantages of using the "Facebook Page". In addition, a great number of streaming service providers allows users to subscribe their service to watch and enjoy movies and TV program. They can instantly watch movies and TV program over the internet to PCs, Macs and TVs. Netflix alone as the world's leading subscription service have more than 30 million streaming members in the United States, Latin America, the United Kingdom and the Nordics. As the matter of facts, a million of movies and TV program with different of genres are offered to the subscriber. In contrast, users need spend a lot time to find the right movies which are related to their interest genre. Recent years there are many researchers who have been propose a method to improve prediction the rating or preference that would give the most related items such as books, music or movies to the garget user or the group of users that have the same interest in the particular items. One of the most popular methods to build recommendation system is traditional Collaborative Filtering (CF). The method compute the similarity of the target user and other users, which then are cluster in the same interest on items according which items that users have been rated. The method then predicts other items from the same group of users to recommend to a group of users. Moreover, There are many items that need to study for suggesting to users such as books, music, movies, news, videos and so on. However, in this paper we only focus on movie as item to recommend to users. In addition, there are many challenges for CF task. Firstly, the "sparsity problem"; it occurs when user information preference is not enough. The recommendation accuracies result is lower compared to the neighbor who composed with a large amount of ratings. The second problem is "cold-start problem"; it occurs whenever new users or items are added into the system, which each has norating or a few rating. For instance, no personalized predictions can be made for a new user without any ratings on the record. In this research we propose a clustering method according to the users' genre interest extracted from social network service (SNS) and user's movies rating information system to solve the "cold-start problem." Our proposed method will clusters the target user together with the other users by combining the user genre interest and the rating information. It is important to realize a huge amount of interesting and useful user's information from Facebook Graph, we can extract information from the "Facebook Page" which "Like" by them. Moreover, we use the Internet Movie Database(IMDb) as the main dataset. The IMDbis online databases that consist of a large amount of information related to movies, TV programs and including actors. This dataset not only used to provide movie information in our Movie Rating Systems, but also as resources to provide movie genre information which extracted from the "Facebook Page". Formerly, the user must login with their Facebook account to login to the Movie Rating System, at the same time our system will collect the genre interest from the "Facebook Page". We conduct many experiments with other methods to see how our method performs and we also compare to the other methods. First, we compared our proposed method in the case of the normal recommendation to see how our system improves the recommendation result. Then we experiment method in case of cold-start problem. Our experiment show that our method is outperform than the other methods. In these two cases of our experimentation, we see that our proposed method produces better result in case both cases.

  • As brand has increasingly influenced on marketing activities, local government, agricultural enterprises, and individual farmhouses autonomously develop and promote their own brands in the field of agrifood. Among developed brands, however, it could be possible for products with having no competitiveness and continuous control to lapse in the marketing. This study aimed to try develop to brand equity model in order for agri-food brands to evaluate and complement in the agricultural company. For doing this, ERRC were administered to interview the brands experts to discuss rice. The results of the analyses indicated that the areas with attribute weight of assets may consider bonding with customers for enhancing the value in the brand equity.

셀레늄 급여원에 따른 쇠고기의 육색 안정성 비교 연구

  • 유기셀레늄급원을 달리하여 쇠고기 육색 안정성에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. Myoglobin의 함량은 대조구와 시험구에서 각각 6.39%, 14.18%로 대조구가 시험구에 비하여 낮은 결과를 보였으며, Oxy-Myoglobin의 함량은 반대로 대조구 89.07%, 시험구 83.47%로 시험구가 대조구에 비하여 낮은 결과를 보였다(p<0.05). 그러나 Met-myoglobin 함량은 대조구가 4.56%이였고 시험구가 2.35%로 대조구가 높은 결과를 보였다. 보다 정확한 결과를 평가하기 위해서는 시료를 Met화 시킨 후 측정해 볼 필요성이 대두되어 도축후 $4^{\circ}C$에서 14일 및 21일간 숙성한 시료를 $20^{\circ}C$에서 48시간 산화시킨 후 측정 육색소 화학적 조성을 비교한 결과, 육색소 화학적 조성을 비교한 결과로 Myoglobin 함량은 저장 14일차와 21일차에서 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았으나, Oxy- myoglobin은 저장 14일차와 21일차 모두 유기셀레늄 강화 버섯 폐배지 급여구가 대조구와 무기셀레늄 급여구에 비하여 높은 결과를 보였다. Met-myoglobin함량에 있어서는 대조구와 무기셀레늄구가 유기 셀레늄구와 유기셀레늄강화 버섯 폐배지 급여구에 비하여 높은 결과를 보였다(p<0.05). 유기셀레늄 강화 버섯 폐배지 급여구가 대조구나 유기셀레늄구에 비하여 Oxy-myoglobin production이 유의적으로 높았으며, Met-myoglobin Activity는 유기 셀레늄 급여구가 가장 높았으며, 그 다음으로는 유기셀레늄강화 버섯폐배지 급여구가 높았다(p<0.05). 이러한 결과는 소매상품 으로 제조 판매시 Oxy-Mb이 Met-Mb으로의 전환을 억제하여 이상적인 육색을 장시간 유지할 수있을 것으로 판단된다.조직감과 염도에서 매우 좋게 평가되었다. 이러한 결과는 제조 가능한 식염첨가최저수준은 0.5%이상임을 보여주었다. 따라서 로인 햄의 제조에 필요로 되는 식염의 첨가량은 0.5${\sim}$1.5% 범위로 평가된다. 차후의 연구로는 저염 로인 햄의 경우 품질의 저하를 보완할 수 있는 기능성 첨가물이나 가공기법이 필요할 것으로 보인다.97.22로 가장 낮았고, 기타 처리구는 1.19${\sim}$1.59의 처리를 보이고 있는데 비하여, 대조구(100) 대비 증체율에서는 생봉독 처리 2구에서 103.30으로 3.30%가 높았다.양성이 무엇보다 중요하다. 특히 지역자원 활용 소스 중심의 문화관린 산업의 seeds 발굴과 향토상품의 상품화와 네트워크 조직망 구축을 위한 지역중심의 복합 생활문화 공간이 필요할 것이며, 이를 촉진키 위한 mentor academy시스템 접근을 통해 점점 고령화되어 가고 있는 재래시장에 대해 차별적 특성이 반영된 종합적이고 체계적 접근 방법연구가 필요하다./TEX> 자체기술개발, 선진기술 도입, 산업간 및 산업내 기술확산, 국제기술협력 ${\rightarrow}$ 기술혁신의 촉진 ${\rightarrow}$ 총요소생산성과 기업경쟁력(자원 및 역량, 프로세스 경쟁력, 품질경쟁력, 시장경쟁력, 고객성과, 시장성과, 재무성과)의 제고 ${\rightarrow}$ 가격경쟁력(임금, 금리, 물류비용, 환율 등)과 비(非)가격경쟁력(디자인, 에프터서비스, 품질, 운송 등)의 제고 ${\rightarrow}$ 국가경쟁력의 제고 ${\rightarrow}$ 국제수지 흑자 ${\rightarrow}$ 성장 ${\rightarrow}$ 물가 및

Developing Upcycled DIY Kit Made from Subway Billboard Material (지하철 광고판을 활용한 업사이클링 DIY의생활소품 키트 개발)

  • The main purpose of this research was to develop upcycled DIY kits made from subway billboard material to make living products. This study was conducted based on the following four stages of design process: research and analyses, DIY kits' design direction establishment, completion of DIY kits, and implementation and evaluation. Through this study, we developed DIY kits for pouches, tissue cases and pencil cases. In the implementation and evaluating stage, we chose to make pouches because it includes zipper attachment process. Implementation was conducted by recruiting four high school students and four female adults. As a result, we found the following: First, the participants were able to make pouches in less than an hour. Second, pouch making has a moderate degree of difficulty. Third, video instructions should be slowed down. Forth, materials need to be improved. Fifth, environmental awareness was improved by using unfamiliar subway billboard materials. The upcycled DIY kits, developed as a result of this study, can be used as eco-friendly education sources for secondary school students as well as for adults' healing hobby.

  • Higher quality level is generally perceived by customers as improved performance by assigning a correspondingly higher satisfaction score. Usually, the quality level is measured by process capability indices. The index is used to determine whether a production process is capable of producing items within a specified tolerance. The third generation index $C_{pmk}$ is more powerful than two useful indices $C_p$ and $C_{pk}$. which have been widely used in six sigma industries to assess process performance. Most evaluations on process capability indices focus on point estimates, which may result in unreliable assessments of process performance. In this paper, we consider better testing procedure on assessing process capability index $C_{pmk}$ for practitioners to use in determining whether a given process is capable. It is easy to use the proposed method for assessing process capability index $C_{pmk}$. Whether a process is clearly normal or nonnormal, our bootstrap testing procedure could be applied effectively without the complexity of calculation. A numerical result based on our proposed method is illustrated.

  • VE is used as a powerful tool to add value to facilities by improving functionality and reducing costs. By identifying the client's requirements in the VE process and reflecting them in the quality model, the developed alternatives meet the client's requirements. However, there is no process to verify how the developed alternatives reflect the needs of the client through functional analysis, idea generation and evaluation. The purpose of this study was to develop, verify, and prove the effectiveness of a methodology for evaluating client satisfaction with alternatives developed during the VE Job Plan. The KANO model, which can identify the satisfaction and dissatisfaction of requirements in product planning, was set as a methodology for alternative verification procedures of VE, and was improved and applied to the purpose of this study. As a result, the alternative evaluation method developed in this study was found to be useful. It is expected that the KANO model will be used to evaluate the satisfaction of VE alternatives in the VE Job Plan analysis.

  • The purpose of this paper is to imply for the assessing framework of next generation Enterprise Portals'(EPs) function through the lens of organizational knowledge creation. As the emerging "suite" products such as Smart Enterprise Suite (SES) converges EPs with collaboration and content management, EPs are no longer just a gateway to information and content. EPs are emerging as the center of convergence for many complementary technologies. Considering that this trend is common and knowledge creation is one of key goals of EPs, it is important to assess EPs' function through the knowledge creation process. This paper reviews literatures to set initial assessing elements of EPs' function, then adopts Delphi Technique to prove and categorize the elements according to the knowledge creation process. The samples are consisted of 7 professional knowledge management consultants at Entrue Consulting Partners, LG CNS. This paper may be significant in providing a new vision to the evaluation of EPs by combining a theoretical model with a practical situation.

  • Smart television(TV) is replacing the traditional television model and the importance of user experience(UX) is rising. User experience evaluates the emotion state of users such as immersion, pleasure, and interest. User experience together with usability is a principle to be considered as for designing a smart television. It contributes to improve user satisfaction and lead to the long-term purchase. User experience is more difficult to measure than usability, because UX evaluation requires to biological and psychological techniques. However, the disadvantages of these physiological and psychological techniques require high experimental costs and the restriction of experimental environment. The objective of this paper is first to review conventional methods regarding UX evaluation and suggests a new method for measuring the UX of smart TV which detects keywords related emotional representation. The text is acquired from purchase postscripts of smart TV in the Internet shopping malls. This method costs less than the questionnaire survey to detect emotion.

Studies on the Main Level-Grading Factors for Establishment of LFQC (Liquid Fertilizer Quality Certification) System of Livestock Manure in Korea (가축분뇨 액비품질인증제도 구축을 위한 목표요소에 관한 연구)

  • Establishment of the LFQC (Liquid Fertilizer Quality Certification) system is very urgent issue for recycling livestock manure as renewable resources in Korea faced with environmental problem of manure application to land due to intensive livestock farming. In this study, we investigated relevant laws and regulations on livestock manure fertilizer, certifications of eco-friendly agricultural products, government policies on livestock manure management to establish reasonable direction of Korean LFQC (Liquid Fertilizer Quality Certification) system. As a result from this study, the liquid fertilizers in 'LFQC' system could be classified as three levels according to the usage patterns in field; 1st. Individual Farm Level (IFL), 2nd. Joint Farm Level (JFL), and 3rd. Commercial Level (CML). And finally, we found some characteristics in 'Main Level-Grading Factors' of liquid fertilizer such as fertilizing value, harmfulness, stability, uniformity, economic effect, storage potential, commercial value, functionality. Those items were considered to be the key factors for the establishment of 'LFQC' system. More research on 'Evaluation Standards' for concrete guideline and on the 'Main Level-Grading Factors' be needed to complete Korean LFQC system.

The With-Profits Strategies for Life Insurance Companies -Focused on the Case and Empirical Analysis of Life Insurance Companies in the UK- (생명보험회사의 배당 전략에 관한 연구 -영국 생명보험회사의 사례 및 실증분석을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyse the advantages of with-profits and make a proposal for invigorating with-profits business. The data of life insurance companies in the U.K. is used and correlation and regression are employed. The implications are drawn from the analysis. The results and implications of this paper are summarized as follows. Firstly, the with-profits policies increase premium income. There is no positive relationship between with-profits policies and operating costs. The companies that are financially sound sell more with-profits policies than those not solvent. Secondly, with regard to implications for insurance companies, they can make full use of with-profits policies for marketing purpose and the main product in the product portfolio. Finally, with regard to implications for the policyholders, the with-profits policies are not expensive by comparison with the without-profits policies. The with-profits policies provide benefit to the policyholders on a solvency basis.
