This study aimed to examine the dilemma of rural China under rapid urbanization process after economic reform, by paying attention to the problem of the order of village community and the expression of individual desires depicted in the film with a rural background. To this end, the narrative analysis, which is suitable for exploring the story structure and expression style of the text, was conducted to examine the community order and ethics, patriarchy and paternity, and the expression of desires of subject. In the film, closed space and villagers, who are disciplined by community customs, local culture, and formality of the rule of manners, are depicted. The film is covered in a form of mystery movie dealing with the deaths of members of the village community. However, the film talks about the rise of the Imaginary desire of subject against the symbolic rules of community order and ethics through the puzzle pieces story according to the perspectives of the characters. In conclusion, through the narrative analysis, it was possible to examine the implications of weakened communal discipline and paternity of the countryside by the rapid urbanization of China, and implications of the lethargy and neurosis of the subjects.

With the advent of the post-COVID19 era, people must maintain social distancing to quarantine. However, this rule deprives people of freedom. Therefore, this study proposes a new normal plan for urban park design using drive-thru to recreate space for people to maintain and enjoy their previous lives while complying with quarantine rules. Olympic Park has a large floating population, and is one of the places where drive-thru is available. Therefore, the study designed this place to be the only cafe that could be operated if other cafes were shut down due to social distancing. The cafes in the park were designed into five spaces based on Olympic Park's flag motifs. The results were as follows. The cafe's name is CUPPY (Cup+Coffee), while each logo letter is expressed using the colors of the Olympic flag: blue, yellow, black, green, and red. The cafe spaces were divided into five continents (Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania, and America), as symbolized by the Olympic flag, with the driving route shaped like the Olympic logo to match the five spaces. Human beings need change and adaptation in various fields to live in a post-COVID19 era that they have never experienced before. Just as the New Normal changes with time, and should, research is essential for presenting a New Normal in urban park design that reflects this disaster situation following the COVID-19 crisis. On this very point, we expect that this research will serve as a reference for urban park design. Additionally, it is believed that continuous suggestions and research will be necessary to apply the model to more diverse environments.

The flower arrangement that human beings interact with the natural plants have characteristics according to their historical background and ethnicity and different aspects of culture related of the flower arrangements have been created by human inspiration and formative ability. The Korean flower arrangement is a product of civilization which originated in the natural environment of the four seasons. As background with the natural unity ideology, the Korean Flower Arrangement makes the life and philosophy of the naturalistic nature that flows in the mind of our nation to the relaxing beauty suited on cultures of ages by the Virtue, the Will, and the Vitality. The Literary Flower Arrangement is, based on the higher human personality and poetic sentiments as ideologies of our traditional oriental philosophy, the formative art made for aesthetic implications of philosophy by consisting plants' characters and tastes without expression of technical skills. In this study, focused on pine tree, in order to clarify that the flower arrangement of our spiritual culture is the Literary Flower Arrangement, make Identifying aesthetic characteristics through, the backgrounds and sources of being expressed by the Literary Flower Arrangement, poetic feelings, symbolism, metaphor, the formative form of flower arrangement, decoding of the flower arrangement genes, and the same time deduce the record of literary work and classify it each era, and establish the Literary Flower Arrangement theory which is the essence of Korean flower arrangement.

Museum is the carrier and symbol of history and cultural accumulation, and the museum cultural relics are clues with the spirit of history. Moreover, the museum cultural and creative products are portable history. Museum has changed form the traditional "object-basic" model to the modern "people-basic" model, which pays more attention to its living inheritance. Therefor, the museum cultural and creative products is also the way of expression of its living inheritance. This paper analyzes the opportunities and difficulties of cultural and creative products of Chinese museums by means of network survey, field survey and expert interview. In order to improve the design method of cultural and creative products. By exploring the cultural connotation, broadening the functional factors, innovating the design factors and creating the empathy factor between products and people to explore and the verify. Trying to make up the imperfect design methods of cultural and creative products in small and medium-sized museums which leads to the lack of function, innovation and communication of cultural and creative products. We try to attract more people's attention, spread traditional culture and realize the resonance between people and objects.

The purpose of this study was to develop a music teacher training program for global citizenship education and explore its effects on the participants' capacity for global citizenship. The program focused on multicultural education, including diversity and tolerance, among various topics in global citizenship education and consisted of practice to develop lesson plans for middle school music classes as well as theory about music in diverse sociocultural environments. The results showed that this program positively affected the participants' attitudes about a music teacher's role in the multicultural classroom. This program enabled participants to identify and reflect on any prejudice they may have against diversity and multiculturalism and to consider the role of music teachers in multicultural learning environments. The program also helped the participants develop greater self-efficacy as music teachers in multicultural environments and see music as a symbolic expression and a social and cultural product. Finally, the participants showed their positive attitude toward transformative pedagogy and considered various topics in global citizenship education beyond diversity and multiculturalism through multilateral understanding and exploration about music based on theory and practice in global citizenship education.

Filmic spaces are not only a core expressive factors that can embody both internal and external meanings of films, but also play an important role for initiating dramatic context in terms of narratives. They establish visible environment in which provocative incidents occur and characters' behaviors are induced, include characters' psychology or emotional meanings of narratives and provoke tensions through symbolic meanings and the implicit function of surface background. This paper, therefore, analyzes the film, , by focusing on the dramatic function of narrative space. This film provides insights and thoughts through deep philosophical reflection, by escaping from the convention of such a genre, through deep philosophical reflection, by escaping from the convention of such a genre, though it belongs seemingly to the crime thriller genre using Mexico's drug cartel as it main material. In the film, narrative spaces are responsible for emotions invoking dramatic tensions beyond provocative incidents and the elaborately planned and controlled mise-en-scene absorbed audiences' attention by organizing ultimate suspense. In conclusion, flow and dramatic lingering imagery of this film might be achieved by power of scenes rather than plot factors. This study thus explained the correlation between narrative spaces and dramatic immersion, by analyzing spaces appearing in and visualized construction. It is hoped that this will further extends the pattern of researches on dramatic immersion, which have been primarily focused on plots and characters.

This paper analyzes the performances of actor Song Kang-Ho in the background of interdisciplinary and integrated film acting, using performance rather than acting as a general term. If the act is a concept limited to acting training or acting skills, performance is a broad concept that includes expressions, movements, and emotions. The performance on the screen can be explained in the context of film and can be extended to the social attitude of acting. In addition, I used the term screen in terms of representation rather than film referring to medium. Song Kang-Ho expressed the performances of various characters in more than 30 films. Although his facial expressions, gestures, and voices suitable for individual characters in various genres are represented in various ways, personality inherent in the actor Song Kang-Ho integrates persona with character. What drives it is the social attitude of screen performance. As a sign, acting is an ideological construct and foregrounds a character who describes a certain social and historical moment. Song Gang-Ho as actor, persona and character, who asserts the popularity, speaks to society and makes discourse. His comic performance is always confronting the tragedy of life, his face is the spirit of the times, and it expands into social meaning. The face of the close-up does not laugh at all, the gesture symbolized by the curved rear view is exaggerated disorderedly and disturbingly, and the voice using dialect accent does not follow the standard of the vocal.

This study is designed to explore the persuasion strategies applied to the student recruitment advertising of the Korean universities. Advertising is a "mirror" of a consumption culture in the sense that an advertising message is composed of the major consumption values (as the persuasive appeals) and the major premises of the consumption culture (as the persuasive premises). Furthermore, the analysis of the persuasive appeals and premises in advertising reveals the ideologies that govern the consumption culture. Thus, this study attempts to explicate the value systems and ideologies of Korean universities in the society by a semiotic decoding of their advertising text. Semiotic approach to "decoding advertising text" allows us to classify advertising signs and sign systems in relation to the way they are transmitted. To achieve this goal, this study investigates three research questions: ① What are the major persuasive appeals appeared in the university advertising? ② What are the persuasive premises underlying those persuasive appeals? ③ What are the ideologies that govern those persuasive appeals and premises in Korean university advertising? The study result reveals 15 major persuasive values and premises along with the four major ideologies governing the symbolism of Korean universities.

The terminology "human body" simply means a physical body but also more often, as an object in art works, carries symbolic concepts incorporating the whole history of human lives. Human body has been employed as an artistic object capturing physical body, delivering artist's idea expressing life indicators from different standpoints of times and places. This point of view about human body in art works has in fact rather short history since 1960's when modern thinking paradigm focusing upon rationality and reasoning has begun declining and on the contrary when the body used to be the servant of the mind and soul for a long time has begun attracting artist's attention as a real entity from the viewpoint of dichotomy. During the 1960's, frequent performances in Pop art and of Fluxus showed that the human body has been an important media for artistic communication after importance of body performances had been raised in Action painting in 1940's. The human body became a more determined media in body art works that had got into stride after Yves Kline's conceptual works applying body and its traces. These kinds of art works have continued and consolidated into the Feminism came into blossom in 1980's and into fragmentated and disembodied body art trend in 1990's. Through development of trends in body works, human body now might well be regarded as a clue provide from individual identity with implication over the world. This thesis is to analyse in semiotic way main works of Kiki Smith who is a representative artist devoting to Feminism and proposing extended significance of human body. In the analysis process of works done by two great artists with histrorical background of art trend in order to find and open an significance horizon of human body, semiotics and bodism are therefore perceived as pertinent and applied as basic tools. The first stage of analysis is to get the significances emerged in between expression part and contextual parts, which are separated structually from the most basic level. The study deals with body works furthermore in the way of structual cohesion of the expression and the context from the view of A J. Greimas' Structural Semantics and tried to build up a basic frame for the extended significances of human body. This thesis is, on the other hand, to attempt to contribute for extension of disembodied and fragmentated body discussed in the structural semantic frame earlier by Julia Kriesteva who delivers abjection concepts and phenomenology of Maurice Merleau-Ponty who enables to overview relationship between the body and the world from the viewpoint of Bodism, further into interpretation level. The other works are Kiki smith's that showed epics about death in mid-1980's, detailed humbleness of vulnerable human body exposed to dichotomy and fragmentation in 1990's and religion and mythology incorporating wouln healing in 2000's and henceforth. Through the analysis of Kiki Smith's representative work 'Pee body', it is verified and confirmed that fragmentated body showed beyond boundary gap of the human body and ultimately tends to imply human healing owing to divine maternity. Bodily symbols in Kiki Smith's are extended to the universal world to imply human life and death on the one hand and religion and mythology of human wound and divine healing one the other hand. This thesis through these process and results of analysis is in a broad context, to emphasize that human body as objectified text has a key indicator role to understand world as well as semiotic extension in art works in late 20th century so that we might confirm bodily symbol as a cultural context constitutes a section of contemporary visual arts.

This study examined and analyzed ancient writing and poetry regarding cases of appreciating plants by using pots in a garden of a palace or private houses by ancestors, and examined shape and planting method of plant species and potted plants, arrangement and preference of potted plants. As for the method of the study, description research method which examines and interprets poem and painting based on potted plants. The results of this study is summarized like the following. First, the plants which were favorably used for potted plants include 19 kinds such as Prunus mume, Pinus densiflora, Pinus pumila, Phyllostachys spp., Camellia japonica, Punica granatum, and Gardenia jasminoidesa, and as for herbs, 12 kinds such as Chrysanthemum monifolium and Nelumbo nusifera . Second, the species which were specially arranged into artificial shapes include Prunus mume and Pinus densiflora. The two plants made the shape of severe curves of stems such as Wangpi. Gyuban, and Bangan, and there are Pinus densiflora dwarfed potted plant whose roots are stretched on Prunus mume grafted into a strange stump and an oddly shaped stone. For the beauty of the dwarfed tree shape, pine cones are added to an old Pinus densiflora or Parthenocissus tricuspidata is planted to stems, and additional method of making moss on the soil, which is called 'Jongbunchuigyeong'. As for planting method, water culture, planting on a stone, planting on a charcoal, and assembled planting are expressed in poetry. Third, as for external space for potted plants, a place where a king stays, a bed room for a king, surrounding areas and gardens of private houses, and step stones were used as a space which adds artistic effects. Potted plants are placed on a table in a library, on a desk, on a drawer, and near a pillow as a small items in a room, and scholars enjoyed original characteristics and symbolism of the potted plants. Fourth, at the time of flowering of Prunus mume, poetry event was held to enjoy the tree and writing poetry begun. And at the time of flowering of Chrysanthemum monifolium, the flowers were floated in a liquor glass or shadow play was enjoyed. Fifth, potted plants played the role of garden ornaments in elegant events of a palace, the gentry, wedding ceremony, and sacrificial rites. Sixth, potted plants were used as tributes between countries, donation to a king, or a gift of a king. In addition, there were many cases where scholars exchanged potted plants and there is the first record of giving a potted plant in 'Mokeunsigo' by Mokeun Isaek, scholar in the late era of Goryeo. Seventh, at the time of flowering Prunus mume, Chrysanthemum monifolium, Gardenia jasminoides, Nelumbo nusifera, and Narcissustazetta var. chinensis, they enjoyed the particular fragrance and express it into poetry. Eighth, plant species from southern parts such as Camellia japonica, Daphne odora, Gardenia jasminoides, Citrus unshiu, Phyllostachys spp., Punica granatum, Rosa rugosa, and Musa basjoo, or foreign plant species, and species weak against the cold were utilized as pot plants for enjoying green trees indoors in northern central province in harshly cold winter.
