복식은 자연환경을 포함한 각 시대의 정치ㆍ경제ㆍ문화ㆍ종교적 요인과 상호 작용하여 구체적으로 표현되어 왔다. 그 시대의 문화를 표현하고, 시각적 혹은 비언어적(non- language) 상징으로, 즉 복식 그 자체로서 언어의 전달과 상징성을 표현함을 의미한다. 따라서 복식은 지각되는 상황을 규정하는데 도움을 주기 때문에 의복상징이 나타내는 의미를 이해하는 것은 중요하다.(중략)

The moral instruction expresses and conveys a abstract objects so called moral. And it pursues occurrence of moral meaning contained a emotion. In these respects, there is a resemblance between moral instruction and artistic symbolic language. Meanwhile, the poetry are a typical form of artistic symbolic language, and especially poetic symbolism is a representative and possible way that expresses accepting a meaning of abstract objects. Then a moral instruction needs to be poetic symbolism. The poetic symbolism that a moral instruction intends to resemble is a linguistic expression, but at the same time that is a expression beyond a linguistic limitation for conveying the metaphysical meaning. For this, the poetic symbolism reveals visible and concrete vehicles that imply invisible and metaphysical tenor. At this point, poetic symbolism is characterized with sameness, implicitness, polysemy, context, allness. The poetic symbolism having these characters appears personal symbol of poet as combined with creative imagination, and is experienced poetic meaning as combined with creative imagination of reader. The moral instruction as a poetic symbolism offers learning experience similar to poetic experience. The moral instruction as a poetic symbolism would be constructed not a logical or prosaic explain but symbolic form that can draw various moral meaning. For this construction, first, we might find a symbolic media for materialization of teaching contents. Second, moral teaching should be constructed to be searching moral meaning of symbolic media. Third, moral teaching should be constructed to be interpreting moral meaning of symbolic media. When teacher can construct moral instruction as possible as similar to poetic symbolism, student can learn moral meaning combined with emotion through their response and interpretation to the teaching. It is very similar to good poem that is sympathized and accommodated poet's theme by reader.

패션잡지에 실린 패션 및 뷰티 관련 상품의 광고들은 현시대의 미의 이상을 제시하고, 상품소비를 통해 이를 성취할 수 있음을 제안함으로써 신체와 관련한 미적 상징성을 보여준다. 본 연구의 목적은 신체수정을 위한 상품의 특성과 상징적 의미를 확인하는 데 있으며, 이를 위해 여성잡지 Vogue와 남성잡지 GQ 광고 중 화장품과 바디케어 용품 광고를 선정하여, 이를 신체의 특성, 즉 색상, 볼륨과 비율, 형태와 구조, 텍스쳐, 향의 측면에서 구분하여 조사하였다. 그 결과, Vogue와 GQ 모두 다양한 종류의 신체수정을 위한 상품광고를 선보이고 있었으며, 상대적으로 Vogue가 GQ보다 더 많은 양과 종류의 상품 광고를 보이고 있었다. 신체의 특성에 따른 상품의 비중을 보면, Vogue는 신체의 색상과 관련한 시각적인 면이 높게 나타났고. 반면, GQ는 신체의 골격과 형태미, 볼륨과 비율, 그리고 향과 같은 덜 시각적인 면에서의 상품비중이 높았으며, 텍스쳐와 관련한 상품은 비슷한 비율로 나타났다. 이들 상품광고의 텍스트와 이미지에서 보이는 특성은 다기능성. 자연성, 개별성으로 구분할 수 있으며, 세계적 미의 추구, 젊음과 건강 이데올로기, 젠더 무경계화라는 상징적 의미를 내포하고 있다.

본 연구는 낭만주의 화가 프란시스코 고야의 작품 <아들을 먹어치우는 사투르누스>의 영감을 토대로 춤연극 를 제작하였다. 따라서 제작과정에 나타난 움직임의 상징적 의미와 언어적 소통의 다섯 가지 분석을 시도하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 표현주의를 대표하는 고야의 작품 <아들을 먹어치우는 사투르누스>에 나타난 공포와 괴기 속에 드러난 소통과 상징성은 움직임의 표현적 이미지에 하나의 'signal'적(的) 소통으로 직결되었다. 둘째, 프란시스코 고야가 나타낸 인간의 잔인성, 참혹함이 춤연극 제작을 통해 다른 의미로의 해석이 가능했다. 이것은 움직임 상징성과 역동적 에너지가 갖는 의미와 해석의 다양성으로 인식된다. 셋째, 정적이미지의 그림요소와 색채가 갖는 상징성은 춤연극의 언어적 유희와 움직임의 다섯 가지 상징적 이미지 체계로 정리되었다.

본 연구에서는 기존의 펜형 장치에 진행된 촉감 연구들이 진동이나 역감의 제시에 그쳤던 것에 반해, 더욱 일반화된 펜형 장치에 상징적 의미를 포함한 정보를 전달할 수 있는 촉감 패턴을 생성하는 방법을 제시한다. 상징성이 강한 시각적 아이콘을 촉감 패턴으로 변환하기 위해 점에서 이미지와 의미를 연상해 내는 별자리의 구성방식을 분석하여 이미지를 점으로 간략화하고, 촉감 제시 장치의 핀과 연동시켜 패턴화하였다. 아울러 본 연구의 효용성을 검증하기 위해 펜형 장치를 사용하는 PDA 응용 프로그램인 스케쥴러를 개발하여 생성한 촉감 패턴을 적용하였다. 본 연구는 임의적 배치 형태인 점자와 달리 촉감 패턴 자체가 상징성을 가질 수 있다는 점에서 일반인이 더욱 직관적으로 사용할 수 있다는 장점이 있으며 향후 적용한 응용 프로그램으로 사용성에 대한 검증이 필요하다. 또한 그 응용으로 일반적인 OS용 아이콘을 촉감화하거나 시각 장애인과 일반인이 모두 사용할 수 있는 Caller ID서비스, 게임 등 여러 가지 방향으로 활용할 수 있다.

The purpose of the study is to understand the symbolic meaning of jewelry. Among various characteristics of symbols, the symbolic meaning represents the correlation between meanings. Wearing jewelry is an instinctive action that can be witnessed from ancient civilizations. Man used jewelry for various purposes, as an ornament, an amulet, a symbol of wealth or power or as a token of love. In this study, I have researched the symbolic meaning of jewelry in its historic background focusing on rings that show the strongest symbolic characteristic among jewelries. Whereas the symbolic meaning of jewelry was strongly accentuated in the ancient and medieval times, it was gradually weakened in the modern time. Also, while jewelry in the ancient and medieval times showed commonness and universality, jewelry in modern time expressed individuality. Although the meaning of jewelry changed progressively by interacting with the external environment, jewelry has always roused sense and symbolism from our hearts and has acted as a means to express ideas and emotions of human beings.

In Jungian psychology, creation myths regard as the story of unconscious and preconscious processes(projection of archaic identity) which describe not necessary the origin of our cosmos, but the origin of man's conscious awareness of the world. Therefore projections have nothing to do with matter itself but experience of one's own unconscious. Jung emphasizes importance to understand projection in individual's conscious experience rather than in philosophical doctrine. The purpose of this thesis is to explore unconscious process of creation myths with egg symbolism in clinical cases to present universal feature of Cosmic/alchemical egg. Psychologically, creation myths retold when human mind needs new order. Depending on the attitude of ego, it can be sudden expansion of consciousness or contamination of ego by unconscious. In this study, 'chaos(messa confusa)' in creation myths as archaic identity, experience of uroboros or infant, and nigredo state in alchemy. 'Separation of primordial parents' as beginning of consciousness refers to separatio operation in alchemical process. 'Light' as attainment of consciousness. Discussion of psychological meaning of egg starts with amplification which include the concept of cosmic/alchemical/philosophical egg. Egg symbolism in this study refers to emergence of egg, tapas/brooding of egg, and separation of egg. Emergence of egg as a state of preconscious totality, psychic wholeness conceived as the thing which came before the rise of ego consciousness. Discussion of conceptssuch as Shiva bindu, hiranyagharba, germ of gold, Tathāgatagarbha follows. 'Tapas/brooding of egg' as concentration of all psychic energy into one point for self reflection. Discussion includes The I Ching Hexagram 61, image of brooding egg identified with inner truth, Wonhyo's concept of jikwansasang, and Gnostic idea of Ennoia, introverted act of thinking, as well as the concept of 'Night Sea Journey'. 'Separation or hatching of egg' regarded as the idea of sudden illumination, Phanes, the shining God, and "sun-point," in alchemy. Birth of fledgling as birth of new personality. As a conclusion, psychological meaning of cosmic egg/creation myths is the story of separating from 'Not-I'(unconscious, object, undifferentiated) to 'I'(ego, subject, differentiated) which shares the same meaning as individuation process.

과거부터 사람들은 달을 인지해왔으며, 인류는 지속적으로 달을 관찰하고 탐구를 멈추지 않았다. 지역문화와 민족문화가 다르기 때문에 달의 이미지에 관한 다른 이해를 바탕으로 미술, 건축, 종교 등에 반영되어 왔다. 영화기술의 발전과 더불어 다양한 영상콘텐츠에도 달이 등장해왔다. 하지만 달에 대한 상징성 연구가 미흡하여 영상콘텐츠에서의 달 이미지 활용에 어려움이 있어왔다. 때문에 본 연구를 통해 영상콘텐츠에서 표현된 달 이미지를 연구하여 달의 의미를 분석하고 표현 방법에 대한 전문성을 높이고자 한다. 연구방법은 첫째, 지역 및 문화별 달의 의미를 제시한다. 둘째, 달과 여성의 이미지 사이의 관계를 이론적 배경으로 제시한다. 셋째, 달의 여성상징적 의미에 관한 영상콘텐츠 작품 사례를 분석하였다. 연구결과 동서양 신화에 등장하는 달의 여성상징은 영상콘텐츠에서 등장인물의 이름과 디자인의 활용 등이 주를 이루었다. 본 연구를 통해 달에 대한 상징에 대한 동서양의 특징을 도출하고, 향후 영상콘텐츠 작품 창작에 활용되기를 기대한다.

The configuration analysis for the image appeared in the storyboard as the 1st stage to change the scenario to the image expressed the visual phenomenon image starting from the literalism. The simultaneity of description on the interpretative level of the narrative description may describe various information multiple simultaneously, the relationship has been presented as a lot of these information has been weaved as one episode. The incident time of narrative description as the scene described mainly objectively and illustratively has been used usefully to present the accurate information for characters or incidents. The time series of narrative description appeared as one episode by expressing various spaces or images under the continuity of flow according to the time. The collision image seen from the angle of internal ignition played a role to create the meaning colliding into each other or interconnecting symbolic effects appeared as respectively fragmented image, the continuity of space played a role of expressing the different symbol when the image of completely different space is connected to one context, the continuity of time as well makes a different symbolism by interpreting symbols appeared as each images under the flow of time. These results show that the narrative description may be expressed in accordance with the narrative structure from the viewpoints of narrative description, but the internal ignition may be interpreted through the cultural and periodical background widely known in those years based on the experience and information capability the audiences are keeping not by any descriptive structure. Images appeared in the internal ignition appeared by colliding into each other or amplifying mutually no related scenes and revealing the overall symbolism by reinterpreting again.

The purpose of this study is to examine the various concepts related to tall buildings, the history of skyscrapers, and their symbolism of our time. First, skyscraper is a word used to describe a very tall building, and the "tall" is a relative concept dependent on time and place. There is no firm height cutoff of skyscrapers, and their practical meaning depends on both time and place. Second, there is academic disagreement over which building should be considered the first skyscraper. Skyscrapers in the modern sense began to emerge in the late nineteenth century. From this point, the world's tallest building was always in the United States (especially, New York and Chicago). However, since the late 1990s, the skyscrapers in Asian countries have taken the title of world's tallest building. Third, skyscrapers are not simply tall buildings, but symbolic images. They are symbols of capitalism, finance, and ambition. The symbolism of the skyscraper has three dimensions, such as the symbolism of height (size), capital (corporate power), and landscape.
