In recent years, the electromagnetic enviroments are varied with the increase of power consumption and the spread of hoosehold electric appliances. Most of the interests to date have concentrated in the area of human health effects associated with exposure to power frequency electric and rmgretic fields, and thus the precise measurement and analysis are required. In this paper, the measurements and analysis of the extremdy low frequency(ElF) electric and magnetic fields produced by actual 22.9[kV] distribution lines were performed. The experiIrents have been carried rot by lateral rrofile, and the thooretical analyses were made by use of FIELDS program fer the sake of comparison with the experimental data. Electric and magnetic field intensity were strong under power distrib.rticn lines, and were inversely proportional to lateral distance. The pufiles of electric and magnetic fields were M and $\bigcap$ shapes, respectively. and the rreasured data were good in agreemnt with the thooretical results. Both the electric and magnetic field intensity were iocreased with increasing the measurement height.height.
In this study, the solution combustion method was employed to synthesize perovskite PZT ceramics. Multicomponent oxides can be prepared by the solution combustion synthesis using redox exothermic reaction of precursor solutions. The results of DTA/TG showed exothermic peaks in 214$^{\circ}C$ and 350$^{\circ}C$. Those were caused by the differences of the thermal decomposition behavior of oxidizer and fuel. The combustion reaction was completed at 370$^{\circ}C$ during heating procedure, but the product was not transformed into perovskite. The thermal decomposition behavior of both oxidizer and fuel were considered during solution combustion process at 600$^{\circ}C$, which showed tetragonal single phase PZT ceramics with 50 nm crystalline size. The lattice constant a was 3.997 ${\pm}$ 0.001 ${\AA}$ and the lattice constant c was 4.147${\pm}$0.001 ${\AA}$.

In order to investigate the polymorphism of wagnerite, the single phase of$Mg_3(PO_4)_2$ was synthesized by heating the stoichiometric mixture of $Mg_3(PO_4)_2$ and $MgF_2$ in a sealed platinum tube at $1040^{\circ}C$ (or 3 hours, One reversible inversion was detected at $1255^{\circ}C$ and the thermal decomposition was not observed until it reached the melting point. As a result, wagnerite is thermally stable enough to be used as pigments for glazes and plastics if substituted with divalent metal ions. The contractions of d-values in $Zn_4P_2O_8F_2$ and $Zn_3MgP_2O_8F_2$ phases were observed by the substitution with metal ions which resulted in intense purple, gold and green colors. Among the several attempts of charge - coupled sub-stitution, only $A^{1+}A_3^{2+}X^{5+}X^{6+}O_8_F2$ compositions were successful to synthesize the wagnerite phase.
Solid oxide fuel cells have a limitation in their low-temperature application due to the low ionic conductivity of electrolyte materials and difficulties in thin film formation on porous gas diffusion layer. These problems can be solved by improvement of ionic conductivity through controlled nanostructure of electrolyte and adopting nanoporous electrodes as substrates which have homogeneous submicron pore size and highly flattened surface. In this study, ultra-thin oxide films having submicron thickness without gas leakage are deposited on nanoporous substrates. By oxidation of metal thin films deposited onto nanoporous anodic alumina substrates with pore size of $20nm{\sim}200nm$ using dc-magnetron sputtering at room temperature, ultra-thin and dense ionic conducting oxide films with submicron thickness are realized. The specific material properties of the thin films including gas permeation, grain/gran boundaries formation, change of crystalline structure/microstructure by phase transition are investigated for optimization of ultra thin film deposition process.
[ $(BaSr)TiO_3$ ] thick films were prepared by tape casting method, using $BaTiO_3\;and\;SrTiO_3$ powder slurry in order to investigate dielectric properties i.e. dielectric constant, ${\varepsilon}_r$, Curie temperature, $T_c$. Grain growth within $(BaSr)TiO_3$ thick films was observed with increasing weight ratio of $BaTiO_3$. This observation can be explained by phenomena of substitution of $Sr^{2+}$ ion for $Bi^{2+}$ ion in the $BaTiO_3$ system. Also, the Curie temperature in $(BaSr)TiO_3$ thick films was shifted to lower temperature range with increasing $ SrTiO_3$. Furthermore, Curie temperature having maximum dielectric constant was in the range of $-40^{\circ}C\;to\;30^{\circ}C$, and hence sharper phase transformation occurred at Curie temperature. There occurred decrease in tunability and k-factor of $(Ba_{0.6}Sr_{0.4})TiO_3$ calculated from the dielectric constant, ${\varepsilon}_r$ above Curie temperature. In addition, above the $60^{\circ}C$, phase fixation was observed. This means that internal stress relief occurred with increasing $90^{\circ}$ domains.
Hydroxyapatite (HAp)/Gelatin (GEL) homogeneous composites of four different composition ratio were prepared by the co-precipitation process with synthetic HAp and GEL as a binder, HAP/GEL composites were molding by cold isostatic pressing and were sintering by various condition in air. Crystallinity and structure of sintered HAp/GEL composites were investigated by XRD and FTIR. Also, the compressive strength and the fracture surface of sintered specimens were measured by UTM and SEM. HAp/GEL composites showed a phase transformation to partially ${\alpha}$, ${\beta}$-tricalcium phosphate at the sintered condition of 1200$^{\circ}C$ for 3 h. The porosity of sintered body was in the range of 1.2-30.2%. The compressive strength of the sintered specimens was in the range of 16.2-60.1㎫, and its strength of sintered HAp/GEL comosites was higher than expected when the porosity was considered.
TiO$_2$, SiO$_2$, and PBA(Pseudo Boehemite Alumina) sol were prepared by sol-gel process. The particle sizes of these sol exhibited uniform 10∼30 nm. As the amount of SiO$_2$ sol increased, the temperature of phase transition (from anatase phase to rutile phase) was raised temperature than $600^{\circ}C$, which attributed to the enhanced photocatalyst properties. Also, the anatase phase was obtained with very small amount of the rutile phase from the addition of SiO$_2$ (10∼30 wt%) at annealing temperature of 120$0^{\circ}C$. The specimen with 20 wt% SiO$_2$ sol exhibited the maximum photocatalyst properties. But, the specimen with PBA sol did not affect photocatalytic activity due to the presence of rutile phase.

$Y_2O_3$ and $Nb_2O_5$ co-doped zirconia composites containing 10~30 vol% $Al_2O_3$ with two different particle sizes were sintered for 5 h at $1550^{\circ}C$ to evaluate low-temperature phase stability of the composite using X-ray diffractometry after heat-treatments for 1000 h at $250^{\circ}C$ in air or for 5 h at $180^{\circ}C$ in 0.3 MPa $H_2O$ vapor pressure. No tetragonal to monoclinic phase transformation during degradation, so called enhanced low-temperature phase stability, was observed for all composites. It is concluded that Nb addition to the composite for the phase stability is more effective than $Al_2O_3$ addition. The optimum combination of strength (670 MPa) and fracture toughness ($7.1{\textrm} {MPam}^{1/2}$) were obtained for the composite containing 20 vol% of $Al_2O_3$ with 2.8 $\mu$m to 0.2 $\mu$m, the flexural strength increases but the fracture toughness decreases.

Synthesis of PLT($Pb_{1-X}La_{2X/3}TiO_3$, x=0.1~0.3) powders was carried out by hydrothermal method. Optimal conditions for synthesis were $250^{\circ}C$ of reaction temperature, 8M-KOH solution of hydrothermal solvent and 12 hrs reaction time, and the monolithic $Pb_{1-X}La_{2X/3}TiO_3$ particles were obtained with the composition of x$\leq$0.2. The tetragonality(c/a) and the phase transition temperature were decreased by the increment of the $La_2O_3$ contents in PLT solid solutions, and the Curie temperature of the $Pb_{1-X}La_{2X/3}TiO_3$(x=0.2) was $400^{\circ}C$. The shape of the synthesized particles were nearly spherical and the size was in the 20~200 nm range.

A series of $LiNbO_3$ single crystals were grown by the Czochralski method from a congruent melt, a congruent melt with 0.05 mol% $Fe_2O_3$, a congruent melt with 6 wt.% $K_2O$ and a congruent melt with 6 wt.% $K_2O$ and 0.05 mol% $Fe_2O_3$ respectively. The growth of $LiNbO_3$ crystal from a congruent melt 6 wt.% $K_2O$ leads to nearly stoichiometric specimens. This is established by studying the following properties; XRD patterns, temperature dependences of the phase transition temperature, energy of the fundamental absorption edge, the shape of the absorption band of the $OH^-$vibration and linewidths of the ESR of $Fe_{Li}^{3+}$.
