Development of Car Following Model of Adaptive Cruise Controlled Vehicle Considering Human Factors (인간공학적 요소를 반영한 첨단차량 추종모형)

  • Conventional car following models are controlled when the velocity of following vehicle is equal to preceding vehicle without consideration of relative distance. Also, since the car following models are hardly consider the driver's behaviors and the environmental factors in driving, the models can't be adopted in reality. Hence, we developed the car following model applying Human Factors to consider driver's safety and comfortness. We simulated to compare the suggested model with the existing model, GGM(General GM). As results of simulations, the GGM model followed the preceding vehicle when the velocity of following vehicle was equal to preceding vehicle without relation of relative range. The other side, when the relative range was less or over than safety range, the suggested model made the relative range equal to safety range. Accordingly, we could be sure that the model would decrease the driver's discomfort and intensify the safety on driving without unnecessary waste of road. We identified that the suggested model is more realistic than the conventional GGM model.

A Study on relative distance estimation for asynchronous FDD using Two-way ToA (비동기식 FDD에서 Two-way ToA를 통한 상대거리 측정에 관한 연구)

  • The relative distance estimation technique is important to Location-Based Service(: LBS) in a wireless communication environment. In this paper, we propose a scheme for measuring the relative distance by utilizing a frame structure of a physical layer in asynchronous Frequency Division Duplexing(: FDD) when the Internal and external infrastructure for position measurement cannot be used. The proposed method is suitable for continuous distance measurement. The test results showed that the proposed method has the accuracy of less than 10 meters on average.

  • 재료의 열확산계수를 비접촉적인 방법으로 구하기 위하여 광열편향법에 대한 3차원 모델을 해석하였다. 이 방법은 가열빔이 재료에 광학적으로 흡수될 때 검사빔의 초기궤적이 시편과 시편주의 매질의 온도상승으로 인하여 나타나는 굴절지수의 구배에 의하여 검사빔이 편향되는 원리를 이용하는 것이다. 기존의 연구에서는 주로 가열빔과 검사빔의 상대거리를 변화시키면서 편향의 위상각을 측정하여 열확산계수를 결정하였다. 하지만 본 연구에서는 고정된 상대거리에서 가열빔의 변조주파수를 변화시키면서 편향의 위상각을 계산하여 열확산계수를 구할 수 있는 관계식을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 열확산계수 결정 방법은 다른 방법에 비하여 실험과 해석이 간단하고 비교적 측정하기가 어려운 상대거리에 영향을 받지 않는 방법이다.

Analysis of Aerodynamic Efficiencies of Fighter Aircraft in Close Formation Flight Using a Panel Method (패널법을 사용한 근접 편대비행 전투기 공력효율성 분석)

  • 편대비행 항공기들은 선행항공기에서 발생시킨 후류의 영향으로 후행항공기의 공력효율이 증가하는 것으로 잘 알려져 있다. 비점성 비회전 유동장에 관한 연속방정식을 지배방정식으로 사용하는 패널법은 비교적 빠른 시간 이내에 항공기의 공력특성 변화를 계산할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 편대비행 항공기들 사이의 항공기들 사이의 흐름방향 거리는 스팬길이의 2.5배로 위치시키고, 수평상대거리는 스팬길이의 -0.4~0.3배로, 수직상대거리는 스팬길이의 -0.25, -0.15.0.15.0.25배로 변화시키며 계산을 수행했다. 연구결과 선행항공기와 후행항공기의 수평상대거리 변화의 경우 주날개들이 안쪽으로 겹침이 발생하고, 수직 상대거리가 가까울수록 더 큰 공력성능 향상을 얻을 수 있었다. 편대비행 하는 후행항공기의 공력성능 향상은 선행 항공기로부터 발생한 익단 와류의 올려흐름 영향에 기인한 것이다. 선행항공기로부터 발생한 익단와류는 후행항공기의 모멘트 특성을 변화시켜 비행안정성에 영향을 미치게 된다. 향후 연구에서는 선행항공기로부터 발생한 와의 영향이 후행항공기의 모멘트 특성에 미치는 영향을 연구 할 것이다.

Vertex-based shape coding based on the inter-segment distance (블록간 상대거리에 의한 정점기반 모양정보 부호화 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a new coding method based on the distance between vertex segments for vertex positions in the vertex-based shape coding. The pixel lines are divided into the segments of a fixed length, and the segments that have vertex pixels are called vertex segments. We analyze the probability distribution of the relative distance between vertex segments and prove that it depends only on the ratio between the number of vertices and the number of segments. Considering the coding efficiency and implementation complexity, we choose a particular ratio to make a code table. For each input image, the segment size is chosen according tothe ratio, and the relative segment distances are entropy coded. It is shown that the proposed method is efficient for the images with many vertices.

Ranging Enhancement using Frequency Offset Compensation in High Rate UWB (고속 UWB에서 주파수 편이 보상을 사용한 거리추정 성능향상)

  • UWB signal with high resolution capability can be used to estimate ranging and positioning in wireless personal area networks. The clock frequency differences of nodes have serious affects on asynchronous ranging methods to estimate locations of mobile nodes. The specification of high rate UWB describes successive TWR method with the estimation of a relative clock frequency offset. In this paper, we complete the ranging equations using relative frequency offset and time information, and propose a method to estimate the exact frequency offsets. We evaluate the ranging algorithms with simulation. The results show that the performances of the algorithms using frequency offsets are very close without noise. But, at noise environment, the method of exact frequency offsets shows better performance than that of relative frequency offsets.

Monocular Vision based Relative Position Measurement of an Aircraft (단안카메라를 이용한 항공기의 상대 위치 측정)

  • This paper describes a ground monocular vision-based measurement algorithm measuring relative range and position of aircraft using the information of wingspan and optical parameters for the camera. A technique obtaining an aircraft image is also described in this paper. This technique can be used as external measurement for autonomous landing instead of ILS. To verify the performance of these algorithms, flight experiment is performed using light sport aircraft with GPS and monocular camera. Finally we obtained the reasonable RMSE of 1.85m is obtained.

  • In this paper we present a new method of measuring the relative distance of two point objects in three-dimensional space by using phase-shifting digital holography. In our system the reference beam of a spherical wave is used instead of a plane wave. The system is computer simulated and built on an optical table for experiments. It is shown from computer simulations and experiments that the relative distance can be measured without the exact information on the reference beam used in the hologram record. It is shown from experiments that the relative distance between two point objects separated by 0.5 cm in the distance of about 300 cm from the CCD can be measured with an error less than 10%.

Shape Description and Recognition Using the Relative Distance-Curvature Feature Space (상대거리-곡률 특징 공간을 이용한 형태 기술 및 인식)

  • Rotation and scale variations make it difficult to solve the problem of shape description and recognition because these variations change the location of points composing the shape. However, some geometric Invariant points and the relations among them are not changed by these variations. Therefore, if points in image space depicted with the r-y coordinates system can be transformed into a new coordinates system that are invariant to rotation and scale, the problem of shape description and recognition becomes easier. This paper presents a shape description method via transformation from the image space into the invariant feature space having two axes: representing relative distance from a centroid and contour segment curvature(CSC). The relative distance describes how far a point departs from the centroid, and the CSC represents the degree of fluctuation in a contour segment. After transformation, mesh features were used to describe the shape mapped onto the feature space. Experimental results show that the proposed method is robust to rotation and scale variations.

LAGEOS 11 위성의 LASER 관측자료를 이용한 정밀 거리 결정

  • 위성의 정밀 거리 결정을 위해 1993년 9월 5일부터 IS일간 중국의 상해 천문대 Sheshan관측소와 장춘 인공위성 관측소에서 LAGEOS 11 (Laser Geodynamics Satellite II)에 대한 SLR (Satellite Laser Ranging) 관측을 수행하였다. SLR 관측에서는 지상의 관측소에서 발사한 LASER 펄스 (pulse)가 반사경들(retroflectors)로 둘러싸인 인공위성에 반사되어 돌아오는 RTT (Round Trip Time)를 측정하여 위성까지의 거리를 결정하는데, 관측된 시간과 거리 자료는 많은 잡음(noise)를 포함하고 있기 때문에 정확한 자료를 얻기 위해서는 많은 보정이 필요하다. 관측된 시간, 거리 자료를 지상 목표물 조준(ground target ranging )에 의한 system보정, 원자시계와 GPS에서 수신된 시간과의 시간 비교, 측정된 온도, 기압, 상대 습도에 따른 대기 영향의 보정 등을 통해 오차를 줄이고 다시 LASERF beam의 대기 굴절에 따른 거리 변화 보정, 위성의 질량 중심 거리(offset) 보정, 조석력에 의한 변화값 보정, 전자기적 지연(electromagnetic delay)에 의한 상대론적 보정등을 통해서 정밀한 거리 자료를 얻었다.
