Performance Test and Image Processing Analysis of a Small and Medium Sized Sprayer for Pests Control for Fruit Trees and Roadside Trees (과수 및 가로수 병해충 방제를 위한 중소형 살포기의 성능실험 및 영상처리를 이용한 분석)

  • The small and medium sprayer has developed to spray well fruit trees and roadside trees with pesticides for pests control within 60 meters. This study was carried out to analyze and evaluate its performance using image processing. While it sprayed with pesticides on the area of 20m in width and 60m in length, it was experimented 5 places by 5m from 0 to 25m width and 6 places by 10m from 10 to 60m length. The experimental image data of each sheet on places were averaged after binarization process. According to the image data, it was sprayed on all working area. However, when sprayer moved 0.3m/s velocity, the place at 15m of width and 30m of length was sprayed more than any other sprayed area, but the place at 15m of width and 60m of length was sprayed less.

  • The purpose of this study is development of the sprayer that can effectively control pathogens. Image processing was used to analyze the sprayer. Experimental paper in the form of $5{\times}7$ 10 m intervals total of 35 sheets were installed. Experiment used binarized image data obtained by sprayed pigment, to analysis spray volume and distance. The experimental results show that 60 m distance was available to the spray. And spray rate was high up to 30 m. It can be used in livestock farms are expected.

  • This research was carried out to test and analyze capacity of the long distance sprayer fan in large livestock farmhouses. Long distance sprayer was manufactured to be able to spray a lot of water, which was a solvent for agricultural chemicals and black dye with the maximum spraying distance of 140 m and the effective spraying distance of 100 m. The spraying quantity and the distance were measured the intensity values of images within A4 papers, which absorbed the agricultural chemicals by spraying by binary image processing. These A4 papers were fixed upon the height of 1 m from soil ground at regular 10 m interval. After the A4 papers were collected and analyzed the intensity values of gray level. Gray level was ranged from 0 to 255, where 0 was black and 255 was white. A4 paper was fallen down from the stick at 10 m distance, because there were too large amount of sprayed water with black dye. Also, the paper showed low gray level at distance 30 m because of dropping lots of black water. The intensity value of gray level was showed almost less than 200 on the A4 papers between the distance 20 m and 100 m, which meant equality of spraying quantity. Additionally, it was possible to spay agricultural chemicals of until 180 m. Throughout this research, long distance sprayer could apply for preventing hoof-and-mouth disease in large livestock farmhouses.

  • 밭고랑 옆의 해가림시설 지주목에 파이프라인을 설치하고 방제장치를 탑재한 주행장치가 자동으로 파이프를 추적하면서 농약을 살포 할 수 있는 방제기를 개발하여 인삼재배포장에서 성능시험을 실시하였다. 그 결과를 요약하면다음과 같다. 가. 인삼재배용 방제기의 주행장치는 동력원으로 축전지를 사용하는 DC모터에 의한 4륜 구동형으로 제작하였고, 방제장치는 수직 붐노즐 방식으로 쌍선형 노즐을 좌우에 3개씩 부착하고 살포각도를 조절할 수 있도록 제작하였으며, 인력으로 골간 이동시키는 방식이다 나. 성능시험결과 주행속도는 0.3m/s이고, 장애물이나 요철부의 통과 가능높이는 4cm였고, 작업성능은 38분/10a로 나타났다. 다. 방제성능은 피복면적비를 측정한 결과 인삼 잎 앞면은 100%, 뒷면은 40%이상으로 분무입자의 부착률이 양호한 것으로 나타났다.

Prediction of Optimum Capacity for Tractor Drawn Liquid Manure Tank Spreader by Computer Simulation (컴퓨터 모의시험에 의한 트랙터견인형 액상가축분뇨 살포기의 적정용량 예측)

  • A computer simulation was carried out to investigate the optimum capacity of liquid manure tank spreader which is used as a tractor attachment. Soil physical properties, such as soil moisture content, bulk density, soil hardness and soil types were measured in the 10 major rice production area for computer simulation. Mathematical model which include soil physical properties and vehicle factor was used for computer simulation. Most of the soil type of the investigated area was sandy clay loam. Soil moisture content ranged between 30 and 40% mostly. Soil bulk density was in the range of 1,500 to 1,700 kg/$m^3$. Soil hardness ranged between 1 to 18 $cm^2$. Soil hardness incorporate the effects of many soil physical properties such as soil moisture content, soil type and soil bulk density, and so the range of soil hardness is greater than any other physical properties. The capacity of liquid manure tank spreader was above 3,000 kg$_{f}$ for the most of the investigated areas, and mostly in the range of 4,000 to 6,000 $kg_f$ depending upon the slip. But for the soft soil area such as Andong and Asan, the tractor itself has mobility problem and shows no pulling force for some places. For this area, the capacity of liquid manure tank spreader ranged between 1,000 and 2,000 $kg_f$ mostly, so the capacity of liquid manure tank spreader should be designed as a small capacity trailer compared to the other area.mpared to the other area.

Development of Precision Spraying System Using Machine Vision and DGPS (기계시각과 DGPS를 이용한 정밀방제 시스템 개발)

  • 본 연구에서는 DGPS와 칼라 CCD 카메라를 이용한 잡초의 검출을 위한 영상처리 시스템과 분무시스템을 개발하고 통합하여 정밀 방제 시스템을 개발하였다. 방제 요구부위에 실제 정밀한 살포를 위해 펌프, 노즐 및 레귤레이터로 구성된 장치를 구성하고 컨트롤러를 제작 통합하여 분무 시스템을 개발하였다. 개별 노즐별로 ON/OFF에 의한 변량 살포가 가능하도록 각 노즐별로 레귤레이터를 장착하였다. 정밀 방제용 이동식 차량을 제작하고 노즐별로 ON-OFF 제어가 가능한 살포장치를 부착하였으며, 알고리즘을 통합하여 정밀방제 시스템을 개발하였다. 개발한 시스템은 영상 획득 $\longrightarrow$ DGPS 좌표 획득 $\longrightarrow$ 자이로 컴파스 데이터 획득 $\longrightarrow$ 데이터베이스로부터 작물의 위치정보 획득 $\longrightarrow$ 영상처리를 이용한 방제요구부위 검출 $\longrightarrow$ 노즐별 개별 방제 작업이 순서적으로 반복해서 진행되었다. 완성된 시스템의 성능 및 안정성을 평가하기 위해서 서울대학교 부속 과수원에서 무를 대상으로 개발된 시스템을 검증하였다. 개발된 시스템은 RS-232C 통신을 이용하여 데이터의 전송을 수행할 수 있었으며, 순차적인 진행이 가능하도록 통합 프로그램을 제작하였으며, 검증 결과 정밀방제의 가능성을 보였다.

Development and Application Performance of a Granular Herbicide Applicator Attached to Rice Transplanter (승용 이앙기 부착형 제초입제 살포기 개발과 살포성능)

  • A herbicide applicator attached to a rice transplanter was developed to perform herbicide application and transplanting simultaneously. The prototype machine was composed of herbicide tank, discharge device, spinner, scattering plate and power drive. The application rate of the machine could be adjusted from 10 to 30 kg/㏊ and the application swath was 1.8m. According to the field test, application uniformity showed the range of 13.6~43.9% in terms of CV(coefficient of variation) depending on the spinner speed, application height and shape of diffuser. The best uniformity could be achieved with the spinner speed of 30.8m/s and application height of 20cm. Field efficiency of the prototype was 4.7hr/㏊. Transplanting machine has field efficiency of 4.6hr/㏊ in Korea. By attaching the herbicide applicator, field efficiency became lowed only by 0.1hr/㏊, which was counted for filling time of herbicide. Simultaneous operation of transplanting and herbicide application had a of labor saying. The weed control efficacy was measured to be 96% in field when AC140 + Stomp and Londax + YRC was applied at the 65th day after transplanting. Nonanmae was treated by manual application to be compared to.

  • We conducted a comparison experiment of our wide-area spraying high speed fan with a fan which was developed by Japan MARUYAMA Inc. have been much recognized for it's history and skills in a field of spraying machine. In result, MARUYAMA Inc. fan sprayed up to 120 m and, on the other hand, wide-area spraying high speed fan of our own making was able to spray up to more than 160 m. Wide-area spraying machine have been supplied to domestic demands by importing from Japan, but it is determined to be possible that home products will occupy market for it's ability, price and A/S environment in future. The main research results are below. Some plastic cups which are in the open market are used for our experiment. After distributing 90 cups in a range of 10m vertically with localizing 5 cups horizontally and 18 cups vertically, spraying machine was moved and finally we make distribution charts by estimating the sprayed amounts on each cup. Vertical distance was set up to 5m and we calculated average values by using sprayed amount and data of 4 observers. In result our fan showed much sprayed amounts than MARUYAMA Inc. all over the field except situations of vehicle departing and stopping.

Implementation of Aerial Application System for Application Uniformity (균일 방제를 위한 항공 살포시스템 구현)

  • The aim of this study was to prevent the decrease in crop output by disease and insect pests and excessive spraying of agricultural pesticides by application uniformity. A 3m height and 15km/h speed is difficult to maintain with an unmanned helicopter for aerial application, which has been affected by the controlling habits and methods or environmental factors, such as changes in the wind. Therefore, in this study, an aerial application system was design to be attached to an unmanned helicopter, which can allow a controlled application width and spray rate automatically and verified experimentally using Rmax of MS-AVIATION. The size of agricultural land was 50 m2 and nine water sensitive cards were arranged at 1.25m intervals in 5 rows with each row having a 10m interval from the position of 5m. The unmanned helicopter was flying at speeds ranging from 7.2km/h to 17.6km/h and heights ranging from 2.32m to 3.47m. The proposed aerial application system allowed application uniformity by making a valid spraying area of 7.5 m2 with 46423 particles distributed on average.
