삼보컴퓨터 이용태 회장은 우리나라에 컴퓨터를 처음 도입한 분으로 잘 알려져 있다. 아마도 그래서 최근의 컴퓨터 산업이 누리고 있는 호황을 바라보는 이 회장의 감회는 그만큼 남다를 것이다. 국내 컴퓨터 산업의 산증인인 이용태 회장을 만나 우리나라 컴퓨터 산업의 역사와 21세기 전망을 들어보았다.

2010년 전반기 호황을 누렸던 육계산업은 하반기에 들어 어려움을 겪고 있다. 종계 입식 마리수의 지속적인 증가로 병아리 생산이 증가하고 이는 육계 사육 마리수 및 도계 마리수를 증가시켜 궁극적으로 공급과잉 현상으로 다가오고 있다. 이러한 추세는 2011년까지 이어질 전망으로 육계산업의 어려움이 예상된다. 본고에서는 2010년 육계산업을 되돌아보고 그 연장선상에서 2011년을 조심스레 전망하고자 한다.

물 산업이 호황을 누리고 있다. 이제는 휘발유보다 비싼 값의 물을 판매하는 시대가 되었다. 환경오염이 가속화되면서 오염되지 않은 깨끗한 물을 마시려는 사람들이 늘어났기 때문. 건강한 물 마시기 습관이 노화 및 질병 예방에 도움이 되리란 인식이 퍼지고 있다.

우리나라 디스플레이산업은 수년간 세계시장점유율 1위를 지속하고 있을 뿐만 아니라 수익성 측면에서도 경쟁국을 압도하여 산업내 글로벌 포지션을 후발자에서 선발자로 변화시킨 성과를 달성했다. 우리니라 디스플레이산업은 호황기에는 최고의 수익률을 시현하고 불황기에는 최소 적자로 빠른 흑자전환 모습 을 보임으로써, 세계시장점유율과 수익성의 양 측면에서 경쟁국들을 압도했다. 이러한 디스플레이산업의 경쟁력 강화와 세계시장 지배력의 확대는 경기침체기 혹은 경제위기 극복 이후 우리나라 제조업의 글로벌 경쟁력 강화를 위한 새로운 발전모델로 부상하고 있음을 시사한다. 본 고에서는 산업연구원의 '경기침체기의 디스플레이산업, 제조업의 새로운 발전모델로 부상' 이라는 보고서를 통해 디스플레이산업이 주목받게 된 요인을 살펴보고 국내 제조업이 나아가야 할 방향에 대해 알아본다.

2000년대 후반부터 급속히 성장하여 2011년 농림업 전체 생산액 중 7위를 차지한 오리산업은 한때 1조 3,966억원을 생산하며 황금기를 이끌어냈다. 2012년 당시 도압수는 9,040만9,000수로 최고 호황가를 기록했다. 이렇게 끝없는 발전의 길을 걷던 오리산업의 발목을 잡은 것은 바로 AI(조류인플루엔자). 2010년부터 해마다 반복적으로 발생한 AI로 오리산업은 악화일로를 걷게 됐다. 그리고 더 큰 문제는 AI의 주범으로 낙인찍힌 오리산업에 대대적인 규제가 가해진 것이다. AI 방역정책의 골자로 정부가 내세운 새로운 무기는 '오리농가 사육제한', 휴지기제였다. 오리산업의 휴지(休止), 쉬는 것이 아닌 산업을 정지하는 휴지기제가 시작됐다. 쉬는 것이 아닌 멈춰있는 오리산업의 휴지기제를 집중 취재했다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the industrial structural changes and types of specialized in the shipbuilding cities, which are representative sectors of industrial city decline, and explore regional responses. Most cities designated as special areas for industrial crisis response in 2018 are specialized in shipbuilding. While the shift from prosperity to recession since the 2010s is the main factor, each city has responded differently to the industrial crisis. The analysis, targeting seven shipbuilding cities, shows that regions where large shipyards of major corporations with high industrial competitiveness are located have relatively less decline during business fluctuations, and there is a tendency for a decrease in industrial structural diversity during prosperous periods and an increase during recessionary periods. Based on the resistance and recoverability to industrial crises, the industrial paths of shipbuilding cities are classified into four types. Considering regional industrial structure and competitiveness, it is necessary to develop customized support strategies such as maintaining and declining shipbuilding industries and fostering new alternative industries.

화학관련산업은 괄목할 만한 양적인 팽창에도 불구하고 새로운 공정의 개발이나 안전성의 평가 측면에서는 선진국에 비해 뒤져 있다. 뿐만 아니라 여천과 울산의 대부분의 화학관련시설은 가동을 시작한지 10년 이상이나 지나 노후화 됐을 뿐 아니라 1980년대 후반에 석유화학 산업의 호황을 누린 기업들의 경쟁적인 신규 투자로 인해 숙련된 엔지니어 및 기술인력의 수가 절대적으로 부족하게 되었고 따라서 많은 화학관련공정의 조업 안전성 유지에 커다란 위협을 가지고 있다. (중략)

1960년대 후반에 들어서면서 국내 경제가 급속도로 성장, 식량의 자급화와 산림 녹화 산업이 발달하게 되었고, 화학·철강·기계공업에 대한 투자와 함께 산업이 고도화되기 시작했다. 이와 함께 자연을 효율적으로 이용하기 위해 인공적으로 개조를 하는, 즉 종합적인 국토개발이 진행되었는데, 이는 인구의 증가와 더불어 생활의 영역이 확대되면서 발달된 토목 및 과학기술의 발달로 인해 가능한 것이었다. 1962년 제1차 경제개발 5개년 계획이 수립되면서 개발효과가 큰 경인특정지역과 공업단지를 위한 울산지역, 토지개간. 수자원개발을 위한 영산강지역 등을 중심으로 국토를 정비하고 주거의 환경을 개선하기 위한 국가적인 작업이 추진되었고 자연스럽게 건설 산업이 호황을 이루게 되었다.

This study is aming at analysing the current trend of container shipping industry before and after COVID-19 Pandemic circumstances. Also, this study offers the political implications for 'the Korean Shipping Nation Rebuilding'. As a result of this study, the several global shipping lines have decreased their ship capacity in response to International Maritime Organization(IMO)'s environmental regulation. This finding is differ from the media reports, that is many shipping companies increased idling vessel to match the lower demand induced COVID-19 pandemic. This study also provides the two implications of the direction about Korean shipping policy. The first one is that the casual relationship of over-vessels' supply and Korea shipping policy is needed to be thoroughly analyzed. The importance of Koreans shipping industry is generally devaluated by most citizens so as to the Korean government should develop the mass media contents to enlighten the less wellknown people regarding shipping industry.
